I did my best to convey the true extent of the agony/heart wrenching pain that's imbued so deeply into the lyrics, and the sense of longing, etcetc buT YEAH OUc H MEZZO SONGS ARE MY FAV, God, I love listener directed songs,,
届かない - sometimes I over think things esp simple conjugation so I had to type out every form of conjugation for 届く BUT POINT IS the literal is 'can't reach' like in the most infomercial sense you can think of. but yeAH DAMN if they had put down 届けない i would've, cried 9 million tears, but this!! already!! has me at 8 million tears!!!
"ケンカした" - this whole stanza? paragraph? chunk of the song, is the singer commenting on a conversation that happened on a rainy day. The implication is that the subject of the song is already in a relationship, and they fought with them. Hence the tears on a rainy day, because it's v clear that the singer is close to the subject, and comforted them bUT YEAH MAN UNREQUITED LOVE MAN... O U HC,
言えない想いのその先で - if you're attentive and noticed that i tl'd the second IENAIII differently!! it's because the sentence structure I used for the first one does not work here! Bc it'd end up as "You'd cry tears for someone else (which break my heart into pieces) if I were to voice these unspeakable feelings." which doesnt pack the lyrical punch that the original does, aka it doesn't flow as nicely. Hence the restructuring.
if you are Exceptionally attentive and have excellent memory and noticed i added in a 'at me' after 'smile', its because that's more in-line with the original, so yep!
