  1. Housing and Transportation options:
  2. Long-term Hotel stay: Your current hotel room rents by the week at a reduced rate, but is still over 1000 M per week. Also you can hear your neighbors doing things through the walls.
  3. Low-cost mass housing: used by farm workers, students, and the jobless, these concrete and linoleium buildings are offered for free to all citizens. Communal kitchens and bathrooms. Since you're not a citizen though, you need to pay for one-they still remain the bottom of the price range. 500 M per month rent.
  4. Mid-range apartment: A mass-produced housing block with thin walls and basic amenities like air conditioning, kitchen and private bathroom. Typical home of factory workers and low-tier civil servants. Very conveniently located to work, adds free 'walking' transportation option. 2000 M per month.
  5. Suburban House: A place to settle down and raise a family. Has a lawn and trees, and bedrooms for your 2.8 children. You don't have 2.8 children though, so this is probably not the ideal housing option for you. Incompatible with Metro transport. 4000 M per month.
  6. Hi-rise apartment: For when the 10th floor is too low. Has a balcony, several multipurpose rooms, and is socially acceptable for entertaining. Infinity Pool penthouse is extra. 5000 M per month.
  7. Condo: A strange apartment/suburb hybrid. You have neighbors, but you never hear from them thanks to good sounproofing. You have a lawn, but it is cut by the groundskeeper. You don't own the lawn. You don't own the outside of your house. You do own the inside of the walls. You can hammer nails into them to your heart's content! Down payment of 20000 M, 5000 M per month.
  8. Arcology: You didn't know these things existed in the periphery-it's probably a prestige project. A single enormous building that one can theoretically live in for their entire life, from birth to grave. Hospital, grocery store, bars, school, and offices. The apartments are very spacious and well furnished. Only mildly Orwellian with the surveillance cameras in the hallways. 7000 M per month.
  9. Mansion: Blow the bank by getting your own 20 room house with two maids, a groundskeeper and a chef. Down payment of 1 million M, mortgage payments of 12000 M per month. Probably reserved for after you complete a few designs and collect bonuses.
  10.
  11. Transportation options:
  12. Bicycle: Two wheels, leg power, and good exercise. Gets you to and from places, easily stolen. Low upkeep, mostly more food to offset workouts, range limited by leg power. 400 M to buy, 20 M upkeep per month.
  13. Scooter: A small motorized two-wheel vehicle. You see a lot of them in some areas of town. More expensive than a bike, but able to make good time in city traffic. 4000 M to buy, upkeep 500 M.
  14. Taxi: You are at the mercy of those yellow-green van and car drivers. And you must pay their fees. On the other hand, they know the streets. Upkeep 2000 M, increased if you like going out.
  15. Metro: The underground train system links the major areas of the city. Combined with busses, offers cheap and easy transit...unless you miss the bus. Upkeep, 1200 M for a unlimited passcard.
  16. Used Car: Average age of a used domestic car: 12 years. Average age of a used import: 150 years. Cost: 20000 M, upkeep, 1000 M.
  17. New Car, domestic: A typical sedan with an ethanol powered engine. Not a lot of power, and will probably wear out eventually. Cost: 60000 M, upkeep, 800.
  18. New Car, Import. A typical sedan with an omni-fuel engine. You can give it to your great-grandchildren. Cost: 120000 M, upkeep 800.
  19. Driver: You pay someone to chauffeur you everywhere. Fancy! Upkeep 5000 M per month.
  20. Pilot: You hire a VTOL to take you where you need to go...really more of an air-taxi since he works for other people as well. 25000 M per month.
