  1. The first Legionnaire:
  2.
  3. On Anarchyst, a planet much like Earth, lived two races. The Tribes and the Chysts. The Tribes were an ancient humanoid race, who sought power and resources. They had created super-advanced technology- armour which allowed them to fly, weapons such as disc launchers, laser rifles, blasters and plasma guns. The Chysts were human-like too, but they were far less advanced in technology. The Tribes lived in one group, united on the far corner of the planet. The Chysts were split into three clans. The Sword, the Wing and the Halo. They were constantly fighting amongst themselves, and this pleased the Tribes, as they could attack each clan one by one, when the time was right.
  4.
  5. One Halo named Atlas was destined to change Anarchyst forever. Atlas, a warrior, was in exile. The Halo had thrown him into exodus. He had disobeyed his Lieutenants orders during a siege by the Tribes, who raided the Halo capital city to steal all its resources. So Atlas was kicked out of Halo’s territory, sent to no-mans-land. He was alone, left to die.
  6.
  7. After weeks of wandering, starvation and thirst, Atlas reached to frozen hills of Elzborg. He knew that he had to begin searching for shelter, as if he didn’t, he would surely die of frostbite. Atlas stumbled upon a battered door, hidden in the canyons of the snowy mountains. The door was marked with ancient symbols. It certainly wasn’t written in Tribal or Chyst. Atlas wiped away the frost on the door, to see if there was any other writing, when the door mechanically slid open. How was it that a door so primitive, made of stone, used such technology? Atlas walked in and marvelled the condition of the canyon keep. The structure seemed as though it was only built yesterday, with modern day technology; however the cobwebs and other evidence signalled that this keep had been untouched for maybe a thousand years. How could this be? Had their modern day technology existed for thousands of years without them knowing? Atlas walked on, picking up the pace, anxious to see what secrets the keep held. He turned a corner and entered a room with screens on every wall. The screens displayed mathematical calculations and formulas which he didn’t understand. The next room was filled with technology he had never seen before- what looked like high-tech weapons, far more advanced than the ones that Tribal warriors used with their armour. However the last room held what stopped Atlas’ heart. Hung up in the far corner of the room was a suit of armour. It looked much like the armour the Tribals wore, however there were small, obvious differences between the two. What wasn’t obvious, were the difference in the capabilities of the two suits. Little did Atlas know, but the suit which hung in front of him was far stronger and faster than the one the Tribes had invented.
  8.
  9. Atlas ran to the armour, and began to put it on, ecstatic with joy. When all the armour was on Atlas, the joints whirred and clicked, as the armour locked into place. The armour powered up with a blinding blue glow, and a series of numbers and statistics of the suits status popped up on the display inside the helmet. A video started playing on the display. It explained how to use the suit and what the suits capabilities were. It then ran through a brief explanation of the weapons which could be attached to the suit and what they did. Atlas walked back into the room with all the weapons and attached one of each weapon to the suit. Atlas flew out of the keep and into the snow, heading back to Halo.
  10.
  11. The rise of the Empire:
  12.
  13. Atlas was welcomed back into Halo a hero. It wasn’t long before scientists in Halo analysed the armour and weapons. They were both powered by a fuel cell the Chysts had never seen before, which harnessed some kind of nuclear energy. The scientists learnt how to replicate this technology and began to reproduce the armour and weapons. Within three months researchers developed stronger armour than the suit Atlas found. His suit became known as the Outrider. The other, stronger suits became known as the Raider and the Sentinel. However the stronger suits were unable to achieve the speed and manoeuvrability that the Outrider could, due to the how much they weighed. So Atlas decided to continue wearing the Outrider suit, as he valued speed over protection.
  14.
  15. After a year the Legionnaire suits as they were called, became standard military issue. The Chysts were to finally defeat the Tribes.
  16.
  17. Atlas and two of the Legionnaires who had mastered the suits well flew to Wing and Sword, asking them to join forces, so they could finally defeat the Tribes. Both clans agreed. So they marched to Halo, and both of the clans were given suits and weapons for their warriors to use. After six months of training and battle techniques, the army of Legionnaires flew into the air, and skied towards Tribal territory. They held poles which beared flags of the Empires symbol, up high with honour. The symbol which represented the three clans- the Halo, the Wing and the Sword, streaked the sky with red, symbolising the genocide that would take place that night.
  18.
  19. It was nearing midnight when the Empire reached the Tribal city. The moon reflected upon the lakes which were splattered upon the landscape. The only sound that could be heard was the soft footsteps of the Legionnaires, as they crept along the grass, towards the city. They had turned their jets off, as they wanted to keep the element of surprise, as it would reduce the amount of causalities on their side. They were a good 300 metres away from the Tribal city. No one had seen them yet and they wanted to keep things that way for the time being. Atlas gave the order to advance, so the Legionnaires ran towards the city. As they reached the city walls, the Sentinels walked to the front of the pack and shot cluster grenades over the city walls. As the hundreds of cluster grenades flew through their air, time slowed right down. All the Legionnaires were tense. This was their moment. They were finally going to give the Tribals what they deserved. They would have Anarchyst to themselves. A deafening explosion occurred as the clusters found their target, and all the Legionnaires rushed into the city. It was a massacre. The Tribal suits were weaker and slower than those of the Chysts. Their weapons, the disc launcher and plasma guns, among others, were no match for those of the Chysts, which were powered by the same fuel cells which the Legionnaire suits used. Discs and rockets were exchanged back and forth across the city. Lasers streaked the night sky, and grenades singed the earth. The battle lasted seven hours. It was genocide. The Tribals didn’t even stand a chance. So the Empire emerged victorious. They had rid their land of the Tribals. And so it was, that with pride and honour the Empire skied back to Halo, carrying their torn flags high.
  20.
  21. The fall of the Empire:
  22.
  23. The Chysts remained united for 150 years. But like all good things, their alliance came to an end. Many Legionnaires sought power. Domination. The strongest legionnaires and their followers split into many clans. Some Legionnaires became lone wolves and still to this day, wander Anarchyst, fighting whoever crosses their path. And it remains so, till this day that the Legionnaires wait for a leader a leader to unite them, a leader like Halo…
