  1. - DuskMod Version 1.1 -
  2. In DuskMod, drastic changes are made to movepools, abilities, items, and game mechanics. This
  3. document serves as a guide to help teambuild. If something is changed and is in italics, it's old effects
  4. have been completely replaced. Otherwise, new changes have been added alongside old effects or old
  5. effects have been altered.
  6. As a side note, unlike older versions of the mod, there aren't any restrictions on what Pokémon you can
  7. use (unless they are Uber.)
  8.
  9. - (Almost) No Crits -
  10. Crits ONLY occur if a move has a 100% chance to crit, such as frost breath. Otherwise, crits never
  11. happen.
  12.
  13. - New Sleep Mechanics -
  14. The sleep counter starts at 3, and decreases at the end of each turn. Once it hits 0, the Pokémon will
  15. wake up the next time it uses an attack.
  16.
  17. Sleep No longer resets upon switching
  18.
  19. - More DW Abilities -
  20. All Dream World abilities are allowed, such as Raikou's Volt Absorb.
  21.
  22. - Small Type Chart Change -
  23. PoisoNoType attacks are now super-effective against the Water-Type.
  24.
  25. - Weather Tweaks -
  26. Rain and Sun now provide a 30% increase/decrease to Fire/Water damage, rather than 50%.
  27. Hail now provides a 50% defense boost to Ice-type pokemon.
  28.
  29. - Different Banlist -
  30. Kyurem (all forms) is now banned. It has been significantly buffed to compensate.
  31. Excadrill, Thundurus-I, Tornadus-T, Blaziken, Darkrai, and Genesect are No longer Uber. They have been
  32. significantly nerfed to compensate.
  33. Swift Swim, due to the fact that it is only a 1.5x boost now, is legal in combination with Drizzle.
  34.
  35. - Item Changes -
  36. Due to the large amount of available items in the game, most of which being garbage, items have been
  37. heavily reworked. The list of available items in DM is limited to those listed below. All other items are
  38. banned.
  39.

  73. Scald: 65 power
  74. All Moves which can freeze the opponent now flinch instead. (Ice Beam, Ice Fang, Ice Punch, Powder Snow, Blizzard)

  104. Fissure: 140 power, 90 accuracy, Lowers the user's attack by 2 stages
  105. Sheer Cold: 120 power, 70 accuracy, Changes the opponent's type to Ice
  106. Fissure and Sheer Cold have been removed from the movepools of all pokemon, unless listed
  107. in their movepools below.
  108.
  109. - Ability Changes -
  110. Some Pokémon have new exclusive abilities, which are listed below in orange.
  111. Some Pokémon have abilities from Smogon's Create-a-Pokémon project.
  112. Color Change: The user's second type changes depending on the type of its first move. The ability does not work if said move matches the user's first type. For example, if I have a Kecleon with the movepool Thunder Wave/Recover/Return/Drain Punch, it will be a Normal/Electric type.
  113. Big Pecks: All defense drops are reversed, such as from Close Combat or Leer. Does not reverse defense boosts.

  119. Light Metal: Provides a 20% boost in speed, in addition to the 50% decrease in weight.
  120. Hustle: Instead of lowering the accuracy of physical moves by 20%, it instead causes the user to take 20% more damage from attacks.
  121. Wonder Guard: In addition to the normal effects of Wonder Guard, the user is immune to weather and all entry hazards.
  122. Pickup: After switching in, removes all entry hazards from the field. Does not work if the user dies from hazard damage.
  123. Forewarn: Reveals all 4 of the opponent's moves instead of just one. It picks a random opponent in double battles.
  124. Defeatist: Halves the user's defense and special defense when below 50% health.
  125. Cloud Nine: Removes weather entirely upon switching in.
