] background: he grew up being the only child in Kyoto Japan. Until his family had to move to Los Angeles as his father had been getting better acting roles there. While they had his younger siblings there they decided to move to Seoul, Korea for better opportunities when he was 19. While they were in the midst of moving, Akemi decided to stay to finish school and get his own place. Since he is struggling with money being that he doesn't get much from working part time at Chipotlé and the occasional allowance from his parents. He started small art shows where people would pay to either  see him paint murals or get lessons from him. During one of his lessons he came across one of the founders of the channel and while befriending them he was asked how he felt about being YouTube. Being very reluctant with the offer he finally made up his made a few weeks later remember how much he struggles with money and had accepted.
