  1. A process for having lucid dreams while still awake. Good for gaining inspiration for stories.
  2.
  3. 1) Avoid electronic devices for at least an hour
  4. 2) Find a place where you wont be disturbed and can be comfortable.
  5. 3) Sit in a comfortable position. I usually lie on my back
  6. 4) Tense up all of the muscles in your body and relax them
  7. 5) Slowly breath in and out and try to breath through your nose
  8. 6) Let all of your thoughts disappear. The goal is to have nothing on your mind. Dont try too hard, though, as youll end up thinking about not thinking.
  9. 7) Repeat 4-6 until you start losing sensation in your body. It usually feels like Im floating in an ocean until my feet, hands, and arms disappear.
  10. Eventually, you will start seeing flashes of light and colors in your eyes. These will turn to patterns and the patterns will turn to images.
  11. The images will eventually turn into dreams. They usually consist of me ending up in a random place such as a beach or a city street.
  12.
  13. From there, you have almost total control of the environment. You can do anything and go anywhere. There will often be other people in these areas you can talk to. They are all projections of your subconscious and you can ask them anything about yourself.
  14. Wherever you end up, imagine a stairwell, elevator, or shaft that you can go down. Go through it and you will end up in another random environment. Keep doing this and interacting with people as it will make the dream more vivid.
  15.
  16. Eventually, you will reach deep and dark areas of your subconscious. That's when shit gets weird! The shock usually wakes me up and Ive only gotten to the serious stuff a couple of times
  17.
  18. After you've had your fun, up the shafts you came from and retrace your steps to ease yourself out of the dream. If you go to fast, you could experience sleep paralysis (not fun).
  19.
  20. It also helps to have a baboon-jackal thing show you around and give advice.
  21.
  22. Finally, when you wake up, write everything down in a journal.
  23.
  24. You can do everything I mentioned about awake lucid dreaming while have a normal sleep lucid dream and you will have the most intense experiences that way. However, your body's natural reaction is to wake up as soon as you become lucid, so I never stay in the dream long enough to do anything.
