Please note that this is not officially endorsed by Mojang and that it is simply a custom bootstrapper built using the PortableApps.com Launcher to make the Minecraft Launcher and Minecraft work within the PortableApps.com Platform. It is not Minecraft itself.

Minecraft is a game about breaking and placing blocks. At first, people built structures to protect against nocturnal monsters, but as the game grew players worked together to create wonderful, imaginative things.

It can also be about adventuring with friends or watching the sun rise over a blocky ocean. It’s pretty. Brave players battle terrible things in The Nether, which is more scary than pretty. You can also visit a land of mushrooms if it sounds more like your cup of tea.

<strong>Issues</strong>:

<li>Running modded Minecraft: Due to an incompatability with Java 8 for some mods, using modded Minecraft requires Java 7 (Personal recommendation). The java environment used can be set in the profile used to launch modded Minecraft. Note that this may not be the case for everyone, but any mods compiled using an older Java will need Java 7</li>

<li>Installer downloads launcher.pack.lzma and unpacks it to launcher.jar [Launcher now also does so, but only if either the .lzma file doesn't exist or the checksum doesn't match]</li>

<li>Automatically finds a Java runtime to use (Defaults to jPortable [JPortable64 on 64-Bit OS])</li>

<strong>Notes</strong>:
This release was compiled with a modified PAL setup that detects JPortable64 before trying to detect JPortable. Below is a plugininstaller for PortableApps.com Launcher v2.2 for others to try. Note that this is not fully supported, otherwise the official package would already have this code. It installs a modified Java segment file and the ini used to generate the plugininstaller.
