Episode 12 Batoru

Finally, the anime has reached it's last episode.
They really pulled off twist after twist the whole way! It's going to be hard waiting for the sequel, but in the meantime let's look over the last battles.

>The conclusion of Ruuko vs Hitoe...

>Hitoe: "...The truth is, I remembered."

Hitoe remembered both Ruuko and Yuzuki.
She has steeled herself to become a Selector once more to free Yuzuki from her card.
Hitoe tries to defeat Ruuko for her friends. However...

>Ruuko: "Arch Aura!"

Ruuko is determined to free every LRIG from their cards, and so uses the spell Arch Aura to finish the battle in one fell swoop.

>Final battle: Ruuko vs Iona

Ruuko headed for the roof after defeating Hitoe.
To the final battle against Iona...

This is how their game started. Ruuko made the first move.

>Ruuko is running a WRG mix.

Both spend the first two turns playing SIGNI and attacking.
The battle proceeded normally.
Then on Ruuko's third turn...

>Ruuko: "Sword Ability!"

>Spell, cost 2W
>Search your deck for one <Arms> SIGNI and one <Angel> SIGNI, show them, and add them to your hand. Shuffle your deck afterwards.
>Can you become as strong as this sword?

She used the spell Sword Ability to search for Sacrificial Smile Curelle and Primordial Spear Energe.
The field now looked like so.

She then summoned and attacked with Sacrificial Smile Curelle and False Love Ciel. (TN: Don't know if there are "accepted" names for these yet)
Then for the counterattack. Iona brought out a line of SIGNI all with high attack power...

>Iona: "Black Desire!"

She used Grave Maker from her hand and another Grave Maker she drew to suddenly increase the number of cards in her trash, and used the Art Black Desire.

>Cost 2B1C
>Main Phase/Attack Phase
>If you have at least 25 cards in your trash, banish all SIGNI.
>Shall we end this already?

All of Ruuko's SIGNI were banished.
At the end of that turn, the board was like this.

Ruuko was driven way back.
While slowly shaving down each other's Life Cloth, they approach the climax of the battle.

>The end of the battle, and what occured.

Towards the end of the battle, the landscape looked like this.

>Iona: "Bloody Slash!"

And after Iona used her Art...

>Ruuko and Tama: "White Hope!"

Ruuko and Tama use their own Art.
We'll now explain what happened step by step.

It was Ruuko's fifth turn.
She used Tama's Active ability twice, and banished two opposing SIGNI.
She then had no cards to play, so she used the spell Get Bible.

This is what the board was like just before Get Bible was used.

When suddenly, Iona used a Spell Cut-in!
She used the Art Bloody Slash to banish one of Ruuko's SIGNI.

Ruuko was able to add Primordial Spear Energe to her hand with Get Bible, but just that wasn't enough to ensure her victory.
That's when Ruuko used her Art White Hope.

>Main Phase/Attack Phase
>Search your deck for up to 2 level 2 or below <Arms> or <Weapon> SIGNI and play them on the field. Then shuffle your deck. At the end of the turn, place them in the trash.
>Right here and now, an Eternal Girl will...!

With its effect, she put Treasure Tool Magatama and Bullet Burst Ranchan into her hand and played them. She then immediately entered her attack phase. Ranchan was banished by a Life Burst, but was able to claim victory with Energe.

Ruuko wins! Her wish will be granted... or so she thought.
Tama disappeared, and in her place, Iona...

Who knows what fate has in store for these girls.
