  1. KEiTO - All That Time
  2. Hi, Keito on the keys... so this track has been on my hdd for quite a
  3. while, and i've been meaning to finish it for some time. Originally
  4. intended for an Alcatraz music disk which never got finished, then
  5. nearly used for Fairlights "5 Faces" demo, it sadly never appeared,
  6. so i'm contributing it to the wonderful SOS3. I also have a 4-String
  7. Quartet version of this track which I used for a university project,
  8. but I personaly think it works better as you are heating it now, big,
  9. grand, and with lots of impact. I'd like to greet some friends if I
  10. may, greetings are flying out to: Ziphoid, Devistator, Smash,
  11. Glittermouse, DQ, S7ing, pOWL, Gopher, TS, Deltafire, ne7, ALiEN^BF,
  12. Vincenzo, Gargaj, h0ffman, Parallax, Little Bitchard, Virgil. Nytrik,
  13. HellFire, Daxx, Mop, Digi, Azzaro, and all on #ukscene. Peace Out.

  16. DHS of TSW - Analog Feel (Home Invasion Edit)
  17. Well, I simply wanted to make something moody with some good old 303
  18. in it.
  19.
  20. You know, from time to time it's good to remove some dust from the
  21. silver box :)
  22.
  23.
  24. Jeenio - At Home (For T)
  25. Ooooooohhhhh that sweet piano sound...!!! You are now trapped in this
  26. hypnotizing song and there is no way out of it. Well, of course there
  27. is, unless the interface crashed, which I seriously doubt. But I
  28. digress. I should be writing about the song... yeah, well it's called
  29. "At Home (for T)" and I composed it some time before my daughter was
  30. born. It was a couple of weeks before Revision'14 and I knew I wasn't
  31. going to be able to attend. But for a noble reason! Indeed, I stayed
  32. at home for Teresa, that's her name, and this song is for her.
  33. Welcome to the world, little girl! She is the youngest of three, her
  34. older brothers are happy with the new acquisition. And it all boils
  35. down to one thing: I might compose a lot of music, and some of it
  36. might be ok, but nothing that I would do could be as grand or as
  37. brilliant as my kids. They are my magnum opera, that's for sure. Ok,
  38. enough babbling... I just want to say that this tune is also
  39. dedicated to Paulo "Breakneck" Cadavez, it has been a bit over a year
  40. and I still fantasize that you will be calling me to tell me it was
  41. all a big prank. "It hurts to be alone..." that's how we all feel.
  42. Peace, my friend, you have it now. Aaaaaaaaand so that we won't
  43. finish in such a dark note, I wish everyone a great summer and I hope
  44. we meet sometime soon at some demoparty. CHEERS!! CIAO A TUTTI!!!!
  45.
  46.
  47. Response of Darklite - Aye Aye Captain

  52. CZ-Tunes - Battle Ships (Title Remix)
  53.
  54. I try to make an little orchestral version of the battleship tune
  55. from the c64.
  56. I'am happy to be a part of the SceneSat CD 3.
  57. nice greets from germany.

  63. CoLD SToRAGE - B.F.O. Drift [ Polka Dot Mix ]
  64. Hi everyone, this is CoLD SToRAGE (Tim Wright) at the keys.
  65. This track is called "B.F.O. Drift [ Polka Dot Mix ]".
  66. What does B.F.O. stand for? Maybe it's Beat Frequency Oscillator?
  67. Although it could stand for anything really - Big Full On, Blue
  68. Furry Onions or maybe Bravo For Ogg (vorbis)?
  69. My thoughts behind writing this track were to keep it simple but with
  70. plenty of energy.
  71. I kept the production pretty clean with a few nice breaks & effects.
  72. I composed two very simple melodies, but I intertwine them throughout
  73. the song.
  74. I really hope you like it, and you can use my track for chilling out.
  75. Greetings to everyone in the scene especially my old J.B.I. & J.C.S.
  76. buddies!
  77. Be sure to visit me at www.coldstorage.org.uk - a new website for
  78. 2004. ;o)
  79.
  80.
  81. SunSpire - Blitzgewitter
  82. From the demo infofile: "Deep below the surface a power resides, an
  83. ancient power that burns slowly and strongly. It burns with a
  84. venomous magnetic aura known only to the strangest beings. The time
  85. for release has come, the eons have passed and the world is charged
  86. and ripe."
  87.
  88. Hi, SunSpire here with a track I originally wrote for the streaming
  89. music competition at TRSAC in 2013, but just a few days before the
  90. party I was approached by fizzer, he wanted to use my track in a demo
  91. instead. So we teamed up with graphics wizard deathstar, from Greece,
  92. and the three of us started work on what is
  93. now known as the "Blitzgewitter" PC invitation demo which was
  94. released at Revision in 2014. Since its initial version half a year
  95. ago, the track has undergone many alterations and an ambient part was
  96. added to go along with fizzer's underwater intro sequence. A 5.1
  97. surround version is also available. We had plenty of fun while making
  98. the demo and are totally happy it was received so well. In fact, the
  99. feedback we receive from people gives us plenty of motivation to
  100. create more demos together in the future!
  101.
  102. Now listen to the music and enjoy, SunSpire signing off.. \\o_

  104.
  105. Wackor - Borxx Redux
  106.
  107.
  108. Kathryn LJ - But Look What I can do (Music for a Vampire OST,
  109. SceneSat Edit)
  110.
  111.
  112. Corpsicle - Canniballad
  113.
  114.
  115. Richard Joseph - Cannon Fodder (Guns on the beach remix by Amok)
  116.
  117.
  118. Rapture - Cassiopeia
  119. Hi again! This is my second track for Sound of SceneSat Vol. 3! I'm a
  120. big fan of Laserdance since I've listened to "Humanoid Invasion" in
  121. 1987 and never did a true spacesynth tune myself, so this is now my
  122. contribution to the spacesynth/italo disco style. I had *lots* of fun
  123. doing that one, hope you like it! As a side note, Cassiopeia is based
  124. on an old short xm tune which I did for a demo presentation of the
  125. "Bitengine" for the Nintendo DS. That engine was coded by Bitfield
  126. (thanks guys for the permission to use this tune and to create an
  127. extended version for SceneSat Vol.3!). The Bitfield guys also did
  128. "Giana Sisters DS" for which I've also written the complete
  129. soundtrack. Enjoy and stay cool! =) -Rapture
  130.
  131.
  132. Richard Joseph - Cauldron II (Subversive Elements & Tron - Le
  133. citrouille sur l'acide remix)
  134. Finally, almost 12 years after the release of the radio edit of our
  135. Cauldron II, this original was restored to it's intended state. Yes
  136. peeps, this track has a history. Back in 2002, after being inspired
  137. by the 909 Sadist's remix of Cauldron II, the Subversive Elements &
  138. Tron started on their own version. The danger of becoming to
  139. repetitive and the need for buildup never reached equilibrium. The
  140. daze inducing foundation of the iconic bass line and a gush of
  141. inspiration from Underworld made this track simply grow under our
  142. fingers to a massive 13 minute remix. Despite it's duration, we could
  143. play it over and over again. But we realized that SLAY Radio would
  144. never play it live at this length. So with pain in our hearts we cut
  145. our baby up to a decent 5:26 radio edit named "The Pumpkin Rides
  146. Again". But the final mixing stage was never performed on the
  147. original. Now, 12 years later, using the latest in music software (6
  148. Reason versions later), we have restored our baby child and
  149. discovered it had grown up. Enjoy: Cauldron II - (Le citrouille sur
  150. l'acide) by The Subversive Elements & Tron.
  151.
  152.
  153. Phobium & Xerxes - Cold Blur
  154. We were drunk and remember nothing while making it.
  155.
  156.
  157. Chris Hülsbeck - Compilation III (Dr.Future remix)
  158. "Compilation III" by Dr.Future - Original C64-version by Chris
  159. Huelsbeck. Arranged & produced by Dr.Future using the following
  160. equipment: Cubase, NI Battery, NI Pro-53, NI Kontakt, Korg M1,
  161. LinPlug Alpha. Drums by A Linn. This is an analogue recording.
  162. Greetings to all the great remixers and scene-musicians out there.
  163. Special thanks to Ziphoid for doing this great Compilations. Keep it
  164. up!
  165.
  166.
  167. glxblt - Containment Breach
  168. Yo! glxblt on the keys. I made this track for Revision 2014 Streaming
  169. Music Compo. It got to the finals but didn't place well. There was
  170. too many awesome tracks in the compo :) ...... But: It was the most
  171. fun track to make since forever. A proper "midschool" neurofunk track
  172. from the turn of the millennium..! I owe a lot to Ed Rush & Optical,
  173. those guys taught me through their music what is cool about drum &
  174. bass. So consider Containment Breach as a tribute to them & Virus
  175. Recordings. ........... Damn it is hot in this room. I was supposed
  176. to go ride my bicycle but a colleague called and said that he has the
  177. shits. AH FUCK IT. Well, i'll just have to cover for him until the
  178. evening.. Maybe then I can go enjoy the weather! .......... Okay
  179. signing out, much love to all. - glxblt CONTACT: glxblt@glxblt.com /

  188. Puryx - Critter Brunch (Remastered)
  189. This track was originally made for Revision 2014 streaming music
  190. compo. Made a proper remaster, which you're listening to now. I've
  191. tried to develop my skills into the darker parts of DNB - I'm not
  192. there yet, but getting closer. Enjoy and come to TRSAC 2014 October

  201.
  202. now this is a story all about how,
  203. my notes got chipped, turned up and down,
  204. and I'd like to take three minutes, just sit right there,
  205. i'll tell you how we became the chiptune guys with such flair
  206.
  207. in North Holland, we were born and raised
  208. on the Amiga is where I spent most of my days.
  209. chillin' out, maxin', relaxin all cool,
  210. fiddlin around because well, fuck school
  211.
  212. when a couple of guys who were up to no good,
  213. started makin' trouble in my neighbourhood.

  228. David M. Hanlon - Druid II (Druid's dance remix by Amok)
  229. Hey to everyone and many thanks to the SceneSat staff for making this

  234. Moby - Elekfunk (Teetow remix feat. Romeo Knight)
  235. Elecfunk by Moby (cover by Teetow, featuring Romeo Knight)
  236.
  237. The original Elecfunk module has a great human feel to it, and I
  238. tried to recreate that atmosphere of a loose, playful jam session.
  239. Romeo Knight contributed some great guitar tracks, which helped seal
  240. the deal.

  250.
  251. My entry to Stream Ten, the final Stream Party. This ended up winning
  252. the listening music compo.
  253.
  254. I was suffering with a handful of ideas when I was writing this, they
  255. didn't quite latch on the way I wanted. I then one night watched the
  256. movie Gladiator, and decided to try to sample some of its more
  257. memorable quotes. Adding those to the mix really made the difference
  258. I wanted and somehow the song became more clear. I also snatched the
  259. title for the track from the same movie, obviously. After that the
  260. pieces just fell into place, and the tune that started out as ADHD
  261. ideas, suddenly ended up sounding like, well, me :)
  262.
  263. In a more technical aspect: I am finally starting to the get a grip
  264. of Reaper. At first it seemed to have a frustrating learning curve
  265. whereas compared to my previous software, Orion. The guitars are real
  266. as always, played using an ESP baritone downtuned guitar and a Line6
  267. DAW with my own custom presets. Drums are DFH, Bass is Broomstick
  268. bass and the synths are Toxic. The various delays and effects used in
  269. the vox are also from the Line6 package.
  270.
  271. So there you have it! Stream Ten was AWESOME, btw :) Hope you were
  272. there, we had a blast. Time to go now. Catch y'all laterz. T-101
  273. signing off.

  282. Inspired "World Music" piece written as a gift for a friend that
  283. inspired me with their work.

  285. 0:00-1:00 Call To Prayer (Agnus Dei - Lamb of God)
  286. 1:00-1:20 Waltz in D minor

  288. 2:42-2:48 A moment of silence
  289. 2:48-4:51 Angels & Demons
  290.
  291.
  292. Bacter - Funkemistric
  293. Oh damn, some sort of craziness struck me when writing this tune.
  294. I do think it has a really good groove after all!
  295. Many thanks to Netpoet who helped me build a very original structure
  296. to the track! Also, there are some bits of chemical engineering
  297. lecture there. Very interesting.
  298. This is indeed the connection between Chemistry and Funk. Listen
  299. carefully. Oh, and DJAMPA BRAVA! :D

  317. glxblt - Grid Bug
  318. Wassup! glxblt on the keys (again?!). ........ Some more drum & bass
  319. for the bassheads. This track was released at Stream Ten (Last Stream
  320. party ever. If you missed it, sux2bu) ...... IT WON THE DANCE MUSIC
  321. COMPO. ....... *golf clap* .......... Hope you like it too. It's
  322. called Grid Bug, after a virtual creature from Tron. You may also
  323. recognize it from Nethack. I added some cave sounds and crittery FX
  324. to underline this you know man.. ........ I pulled an all-nighter to
  325. create this track basically from scratch. I finished at 10 AM, slept
  326. for 2-3 hours and after that drove 3 hours to Tampere! ...... Totally
  327. worth it though. ....... I love the demoscene, DEMOSCENE WILL NEVER
  328. DIE! There is life after Stream Ten! ......... Come to simulaatio.org
  329. , a demoparty I'm helping to organize. It's in May 2015 in Finland.

  334.
  335. Bacter - Groovision
  336. let me give you a tip that you already know: be careful when writing
  337. music in a demoparty! there is too much noise in the hall and you
  338. might end up not knowing what you did. that's what happened to me
  339. here in this track. but actually, I do seem to like it after all.
  340. makes me dance somehow and I hope it does for you too! so enjoy! :)
  341.
  342.
  343. Dizzy - Happen-o-lowize (Mordi remix)
  344. This tune was originally composed by Dizzy as part of the group cncd
  345. in 1993. It's quite funky and a bit weird, which seems to a theme to
  346. dizzy's works. The drums for this were recorded in my basement. Most
  347. or all of the synths were done without using presets, with the Zebra
  348. 2 VST. Arranged and mixed with FL Studio 11, in 2013 and 2014.

  351. DHS of TSW - Her Plethora Scattered Around (Chasing The Mood Edit)
  352. DHS of TSW - Her Plethora Scattered Around (Chasing The Mood Edit)
  353.
  354. "Her Plethora Scattered Around (Chasing The Mood Edit)" is my tipical
  355. effort to exit the comfort zone. I wanted to make something
  356. different, with a touch of trance, complextro, dubstep and, yes, some
  357. strong melodic and harmonic part. The track is the result of those
  358. ingredients, added a work of about one month in the (little) spare
  359. time I have lately. If I had to make the same track in one go I guess
  360. it would have taken something around 6+ hours. Have fun.
  361.
  362.
  363. Martin Wall - High Hopes
  364. This track is called ”High Hopes” and I hope it gives you just
  365. that. Hello to all my past and current friends in- and outside the
  366. scene. That’s it. Regards, Martin ”Mantronix” Wall
  367.
  368.
  369. Hazel - I Feel The Wind Beneath My Wings
  370. Welcome to Cozy Corner.. Oh no. Wait.. ;)
  371. Well, this is a little track in the style of cozy dubstep or as I
  372. would like to call it: ChillStep!
  373. I guess that the track could have been divided into two different
  374. tunes if it was supposed to be a mainstream track.
  375. But that is not how it works with scenemusic. That kind of music
  376. always has surprises in them.. ;)
  377. In the near future I will probably make 2 tracks of this one.
  378.
  379.
  380. DHS of TSW - In Peace (feat. Snowflake)
  381. I was browsing on ccmixter and i found this beautiful acapella by
  382. snowflake and I knew i had to make my version of it. I wanted to keep
  383. it very simple, maybe to go a bit to the roots and use some kind of
  384. step sequencer for the bass. Hope you'll like it.
  385.
  386.
  387. moonove - Intense
  388.
  389.
  390. Dezecrator - Intro Fronty II (Remix by Hazel)
  391. This is a little remix of the Amiga mod by Dezecrator.
  392. It has been stuck on my HD forever. Well, at least for a couple of
  393. years by now. :)
  394. It was meant to be released in a production for TRSAC in 2012 at
  395. first but the production was never finished.
  396. And it didn't get any better in 2013. But now it can be used in SOS 3.
  397. I actually promised truck to finish this track a couple years ago
  398. when a WIP of this one was played on SceneSat.
  399. Better late than never, I guess. :)
  400.
  401.
  402. Ferrara - Just Another Day
  403. Just Another Day - a remix of my original C64 SID tune, "Taas
  404. Arkipaeivaeh", released @ Zoo 2013. Originally done in GoatTracker,
  405. this version tracked in Renoise <3 . I choose to feature all the
  406. sound elements from my 80s synthproject, Chase Avenue as when
  407. originally writing the tune I had a certain type of 80s breakfest
  408. club -thing going on inside my mind :) So here you go, LinnDrums and
  409. some other delicate synthsounds from my childhood, I hope you enjoy
  410. :) Oh, I can send some greetings here ? :P Oh yessirree, in that case
  411. then: Greetings fly to Ziphoid, Sir Garbagetruck, Makke, Slaygon,
  412. Chris Abbott, SidMan64, Conrad, Deck/Scoopex, Sumppi, and all other
  413. cool dudes I've met (Yes, Ben Daglish, that means you too :) )
  414. ferrara out...
  415.
  416.
  417. LMan - La Nuit
  418. Hey folks, you're listening to "La Nuit". Huge hello to all the
  419. sceners out there! Lots of Love goes out to Sunflower <3 - Special
  420. Greetz to Ziphoid, Chris Abbott, Kwed, Tron, Monique, A0d,
  421. Herbaculum, Gulrak, Pex Mahoney Tufvesson, Jeff, Slaygon, Neil Carr,
  422. Andreas Wallström, Boz, Goldfinger, Mister Mc Mouse, BMan, and all
  423. the awesome folks at Remix64.com - I would name you all, you know who
  424. you are. The track was built around the song title and a limited set
  425. of 15 samples preselected by my bud BMan. The demoscene is precious,
  426. it is special. Keep your minds and hearts open. // LMan
  427.
  428.
  429. Phobium - Law Of Sines
  430. Bleeps and blops inspired by Ryoji Ikeda.
  431.
  432.
  433. Malmen - Let's Go
  434.
  435.
  436. Hazel - Living in a dream
  437. A bit of synth or maybe it's spacetrance..
  438. Who knows? It was used in a little video that was uploaded to youtube
  439. but the track it self was never released.
  440. And the music video had a few bugs in the track. They have now been
  441. fixed so this is the final version of this track.

  444. Moby - Livin' Insanity (Teetow remix)
  445. Livin' Insanity by Moby (cover by Teetow)
  446.
  447. It's been a great pleasure re-imagining this classic track by the
  448. legendary Moby, and to bring my own twist to it. It was always an
  449. inspiring song, and helped me realize just how crazy you could be
  450. with tracked music.

  455. Paokala - Lost Colony (Byproduct remix)
  456. Hooray for Sound of Scenesat vol 3! Here's a chip remix of Paokala's
  457. "Lost Colony", originally a ProTracker MOD meant to be used as an
  458. outro. This remix uses 0 samples! All sounds were generated using
  459. QuadraSID for that sid chip feeling, but then mixed in FL Studio for
  460. unlimited channels and modern audio quality. Not having samples
  461. wasn't the main challenge, however, what's challenging is to make the
  462. chip sounds come "naturally" alive by using portamento, vibrato,
  463. filter envelopes, volume changes and such. I'm sure all chip
  464. composers know what I'm talking about. It's in the details. :)

  475. Lotus 3 was a big part of my childhood, and so was its music - first
  476. on the PC speaker, then on the OPL soundchip, and way later the
  477. original Amiga MOD music. I've previously done another Lotus remix
  478. that I don't like all that much anymore, and I've started a couple of
  479. other Lotus remixes that never got very far, so it was time to make a
  480. new one. Huge thanks go to my brother for recording all the guitar
  481. samples and T-101 for helping with the drums.

  503. Metal - Nails and Noodles
  504. A nice laid back melodic pop tune - a little something for the warm
  505. summer evenings. Not my typical kind of track, but it has a certain
  506. retro feel to it, that made me think it would suit this collection
  507. just fine. Have a great summer! Cheers from Metal/Vibrants :)

  510. Jugi - Onward Ride (BeeZerk remix)
  511. Well, what to say? Remix of a legendary and beloved piece of art
  512. everybody knows.
  513. The Original is dear to my heart since forever! It's always
  514. impossible for me to remix something this perfect and epic.
  515. Nonetheless i'll always try :o)

  520. Rapture - Open Dreams
  521. Hi guys, I'm honored to be on board of this excellent scene release
  522. which is SceneSat :) This is the first of two tracks that I've
  523. written for Sound of SceneSat Vol. 3. It's been quite some time since
  524. I've written a trance, so I thought why not, lets give it a try. I've
  525. made a bit of an "uplifting trance" approach in the second part,
  526. because I thought the first part was a bit melancholic on the chords
  527. and melody. Furthermore, I've mixed in some C64 sid sounds to give it
  528. a bit of a nostalgic touch. Hope you like the result! :)

  536. Reed - Panic Room (T-101 Diesel Remix)
  537.
  538. Well then! This is a track I started working on back in 2010, and
  539. this is now the third and final iteration. I heard this track at
  540. Assembly 2008 as the soundtrack for the glorious Fairlight 64k. Blew
  541. my mind. I rarely do remixes, but for this I wanted to do one. Just
  542. to upgrade the soundscapes from the 64k track, and give it a little
  543. spice while I'm at it. At the first iteration I was actually
  544. consulting Reed that does he like it or not. He gave me the original
  545. vocal samples and told me it sounds "ok". Second iteration was almost
  546. the same but with new software, and what you are listening to now is
  547. the final iteration, where I decided to take the song to more my
  548. level, while still keeping with what makes the original so great.
  549. There!
  550.
  551. On a technical aspect, this was pretty much what I do these days,
  552. except for the fact that my Line6 audiointerface DIED on me the last
  553. night I had to work with this track before I had to fly to Stockholm
  554. for the launchparty. The thing is: if that interface dies, my Line6
  555. vsti's die with it, as they are harware dependant. With the help of
  556. Ziphoid and my mad skills I was able to rescue this, and record the
  557. final guitars and stuff needed. It is now 3:12 AM and I do have to
  558. wake up in the morning, and I am now listening to what I hope is what
  559. you will be listening when you read this!
  560.
  561. Anyhow, small miracle this song made it. Greetings and Beerings to
  562. Reed for the original, greetings to Smash for the other stuff he did
  563. for the 64k. T-101 signing off.

  565.
  566. Buzzer - Pikaboo Lobotomy
  567.
  568.
  569. Sademetsä - Planck's Wife Swallows The Quantum Foam
  570. I'm in a scroller! But seriously though, hi all! Especially greetable
  571. are everybody at SceneSat, #mikseri and pelikanava! And thanks to
  572. atheos for recording the final speech samples and byi for whistling
  573. and making most of the background noises. About the track itself,
  574. in early 2013 I had downloaded trial versions of some effect plugins,
  575. and byi came to visit. We then just started fooling around with the
  576. effects, and that's basically how the first minute of the track was
  577. made. I recorded a placeholder speech a bit later and continued with
  578. the track structure, just adding stuff and seeing where it's gonna
  579. take me. At some point I realized I've got a decent track and sat on
  580. it for quite a while, not knowing what to call it. I originally
  581. thought it would be fun if I called it a remix and made a faux
  582. original (maybe some trancey stuff) later, and I even got an awesome
  583. suggestion for the remix name by mankeli/extend but as I didn't get
  584. anything decent done I ended up using mankeli's suggestion as the
  585. name as is, and I abandoned the faux remix idea. Oh well. I'm
  586. satisfied either way. Also it's probably my first time that:
  587.
  588.
  589. Corpsicle - Pollen

  591.
  592. Hoffman & Daytripper - Professional Tracker
  593. Hoffman & Daytripper - Professional Tracker
  594.
  595. This is Professional Tracker written by Hoffman and Daytripper for
  596. the Revision 2014 Tracker Music Compo. The initial plan for this
  597. entry was to make a Glitch-Hop tune with rapping by my mate. However,
  598. while I waiting for the second verse to be written, I spent a bit of
  599. time messing about with the patterns and subsequently went a bit
  600. over-board with tricks. As with most of my ProTracker tunes these
  601. days, it started life in Cubase with some sounds and some beats. It
  602. then moves onto ProTracker (via WinUAE) where the rest of the track
  603. was written. The vocals were then added by rendering the module out
  604. to audio and importing that back into Cubase. All the vocals were
  605. then recorded, multi-tracked, compressed and generally spruced up
  606. before single track audio was the bounced out to separate 64k
  607. samples. Big ups to DayTripper for all the amazing work on this
  608. track, the lyrics are second to none.
  609.
  610.
  611. DHS of TSW - Red, Yellow and Blue (feat. Beastie Boys)
  612. Just something a bit different. It always starts like this. Some
  613. groove, drums and you never know what will come out. :)
  614.
  615. Thanks to the Beastie Boys for their vocals. Dedicated to the memory
  616. of Adam Yauch.

  631. Hoffman & SaVannaH - Scroller
  632. Hoffman & SaVannaH - Scroller
  633.
  634. Scroller started life as a ProTracker chip tune! I originally wrote
  635. a tune called Logos and Scrollers for a forthcoming Chip Music Disk.
  636. SaVannaH heard this and wanted to pull up the track and update the
  637. sounds. With a little more spit, polish and extras, Scroller was
  638. born. This was our entry for the Revsision 2014 Streaming Music
  639. Compo. Only ranked 9th this time, but I guess thats what you get for
  640. going all Old Demoscene Vibes in a music compo these days ;)
  641.
  642.
  643. Hoffman - Serenity
  644. Hoffman - Serenity
  645.
  646. So this track started life as a drunk conversation at WeCan 2013.
  647. Ubik was harrasing me for some music for their next demo. I politely
  648. agreed, thinking, I'm sure they will forgot this. However two weeks
  649. before Revision Ubik messages me saying they needed a soundtrack!.
  650. With a basic spec of grey scale and minimalistic, I set to work to
  651. see if I could produce the soundtrack as fast as possible. 3 days
  652. later the track was completed!!!. I was pretty pleased with the
  653. result and the demo Ubik and Kerio came up with was really stunning,
  654. specially as they did it in two weeks! Mad men!!!... This track
  655. serves as an extension to my recent more ambient music work I've
  656. produced for Slime Recordings. If you haven't heard those tracks,
  657. check out the Pieces EP. Also watch out for my forthcoming ablum
  658. (when I've started making it) coming out on Slime Recordings somewhen
  659. in 2015.
  660.
  661.
  662. Saga Musix - Snowflakes
  663. Every year, I try to make a sweet 80s-inspired synthpop tune for the
  664. tracked music compo at the Ultimate Meeting. 2013 was no exception.
  665. The main ingredients for this are emotional melodies, wide pads and
  666. authentic samples from 80s drum machines and synthesizers. As so
  667. often, the main idea for this track came to life while doodling
  668. around on my Roland D-50, which is really great for this genre. I
  669. left this little idea untouched for about a month and then composed
  670. most of the tune during one week in November. As so often, this
  671. tracked music entry for tUM was probably the most serious work of
  672. mine for the year, so I really hope that you enjoy this little piece
  673. of emotional synthpop.
  674.

  676. Bandpass Buddies - Solstråle

  695.
  696. SunSpire - The Crystal Fragments
  697. Well, I screwed up! SoS III was coming and I had put plenty of time
  698. aside to work on what I thought would eventually become a neat little
  699. tune for the compilation. But my initial creative nightly sessions
  700. were followed by a series of mishaps and lack of ideas, I basically
  701. drove the project into a dead-zone and it just didn't sound right to
  702. me. Long story short, the official deadline for SoS III approached
  703. and I started to panic! I wanted to make sure that I submit something
  704. meaningful and not some half-assed attempt. So I took the remaining
  705. time and poured my heart into finalizing a track I've composed way
  706. back in 2008, for my then-to-be personal album that I still haven't
  707. released today!
  708.
  709. A little fun fact: my song "Ashita No Taiyo" is from that very same
  710. era and album, it too ended up on a SoS compilation three years ago.
  711. See a pattern there? Anyway, "The Crystal Fragments" is a very
  712. personal piece of mine that I'm very proud and maybe a little anxious
  713. to be finally sharing with you ... hopefully one day I will get the
  714. full album out! And if not, well there will be many more SoS
  715. compilations to come, I'm sure! Enjoy!! .. SunSpire xx

  717.
  718. Phobium - The Imaginary Megademo
  719. This is quite different from what I've been doing the last few years,
  720. but it's fun to try something new and throw some cheddar into the mix.

  735. Kent Valden - The sounds of Impossible Mission (The Glitch Hop
  736. experience).
  737. Thought for a long time that I will make a Impossible Mission remix
  738. but never got it to sound good, so one day I was listening to a
  739. Glitch Hop radio channel and heard stuff I liked and thought "hmmm
  740. this style would be nice with some sounds from IM"
  741. So here it is, somewhat glitched up. The melodie is not from the game
  742. so don't judge and say "This isn't IM" LOL :)
  743. If you like it then "YAY" If not ... cover your ears and move along
  744. ... :)
  745.
  746. Greetings to SceneSat and all great musicians and everyone else.

  752. DHS of TSW - Urbanite (feat. Makke)
  753. Urbanite was done in June 2013 and reworked the following september
  754. with lyrics and vocals from Makke.
  755.
  756. It partecipated to Armada music competition (academyofsound) reaching
  757. the #82 position in over 1200 tracks submissions.
  758.
  759. There's also a video I made for it (just youtube for DHS URBANITE).

  764.
  765. Max Hall - We don't like bootleggers
  766. Max Hall - "We Don't Like Bootleggers"
  767.
  768. This track was written and produced as long ago as 2001, but has been
  769. sat on my backups since then and never released.
  770.
  771. Is a progressive Hard Dance/Trancy track basically, the Speech
  772. samples were recorded off a Radio HAM repeater in L.A. (USA), (I
  773. managed to log into it from the U.K and listen in on their chats) and
  774. recorded hours of speech from these guys, (onto D.A.T tapes), just a
  775. few samples feature in this mix, but loved “We Don't like
  776. Bootleggers on here, Get the Hell out of here! We don't want you
  777. Bootleggers!” - Sop kinda made a track from it...
  778.
  779. This particular mix is a cut down radio edit, as my original mix was
  780. a little drawn out and long (as it was meant for a 12” vinyl) and
  781. as I was busy when got asked to do the SceneSat thing, this mix was
  782. very kindly edited by Byproduct who did a fantastic job of
  783. compressing the whole mix down to a very ear friendly 4 mins or so...
  784. works for me! Am chuffed (English slang for happy) to be part of a
  785. SceneSat Compilation again...
  786.
  787. Enjoy
  788.

  791.
  792. Bacter vs. Saga Musix - Whiskey Drops
  793. A month before Revision 2014, two talented tracker musicians had the
  794. brilliant idea of making another coop for the tracked music compo, so
  795. they both decided to mail each other pretty much at the same time.
  796. One started by providing a wealth of great samples to work with, and
  797. the other used them to create some really funky basslines and
  798. melodies. They passed the module back and forth, making it more
  799. awesome with every edit. In the end, they added some silly C64 lyrics
  800. to round it off and chose the name "Whiskey Drops" because that's
  801. what the arpeggios in the tune sounded like.
  802.
