- > Laying in the chilly bedroom nuzzled warmly into the heavy comforter alone, your bored half open eyes stare out of a lightly hazed window, taking in the gray skies of a rainy day.
- > Steady gusts of wind outside rustle the trees in lazy whispers as the dying leaves fly from them little by little scattering across the water soaked grass.
- > The sound of water running into a tub catches your ears along with a relaxing sigh of your wife.
- > Your eyes temporarily turn to the partially open bathroom door, then back out to the overcast sky.
- > The sloshing of the water begins to annoy you for some inexplicable reason.
- > She was definitely trying to get your attention, but what was the point.
- > You knew how this ends already.
- > After an intentionally loud sigh Rainbow Dash speaks out loud from the bathroom, "So I guess you're not going to come in?.."
- > You decide to not even answer as you stare, eyes glazed over, out of the window watching the branches of trees fight back against the steady wind.
- > "Or just don't answer... Whatever.. awesome." the water sloshed some more.
- > There was no point to.
- > If you did, it would be the same full circle argument.
- > You would get in the tub with her, she would inevitably complain that there wasn't enough room, a nice moment would turn to bickering...
- > And without a doubt, turn down any advance you made on her.
- > Same story for the past several months...
- > Married for less than one year... and it's already been months...
- > And she has the guts to wonder why you get this way...
- > "Are you even out there?.." annoyance clear in her voice.
- "...Eeyup.." you unenergetically respond.
- > "Well if you're just going to ignore me can you at least get me a towel.."
- > Drawing a long inhale through your nose with closed eyes, you rise from the bed.
- > Your bare feet come into contact with the cold floor as you make your way to grab her a towel.
- > You take the oversized towel in your hand and plod lazily to the bathroom.
- > The expression on your face screams bordem.
- > Pushing the already half open door fully open, your notice a bathing Rainbow Dash laying on her back in the sudsy tub.
- > You never really took her for a bubble bath type, but she swore up and down it was to help her muscles recover from all the ... 'totally awesome stuff' she does.
- > Uhg...
- "Here.." you offer her the towel
- > Her face immediately scrunches seeing that the sight of her isn't doing anything for you.
- > "You're really not going to get in?.." she says almost offended.
- "Why.. What's the point.." the lack of energy in your voice speaks more than the words you choose.
- > "What's the point?... Seriously?"
- "Yes.. I'll get in you'll eventually get annoyed. I'll want to do.. something you'll shoot me down. We'll argue.. what's the point.." you rehearse the tried and true routine.
- > She recoils at your recap, "N-No I wont. Anon you've been so weird the past few~"
- "Because this is the same thing that's been happening over and over. When's the last time we even.. ya know.. " the pent up anger finds a vent in your words.
- > She looks down a little, "I don't keep track of it Anon.. why~" she seems to know yet avoids the question before your snap back.
- "Three months...Three.."
- > She sinks back into the water a little, "Well geez, you sure know how to put a mare in the mood don't you..."
- > You give her a stare as the comment boils your blood for a moment.
- "Coming from you? Hilarious.." your snark come back is followed by an about face.
- > "Where are you going?" The water sloshed as she rose from the tub a little.
- "I don't know. Out. To drink.. wherever."
- > You exit the room as she calls out from it, "Drink? Anon it's 11am!"
- "I don't care..." you say as you put on a pair of pants left by the foot of the bed.
- "I just don't care anymore." You throw a heavy jacket on.
- > "What's that supposed to mean?..." a dripping wet Dash exits the bathroom with the towel quickly tossed over her.
- > You decide once more not to answer as your heart pounds in anger and frustration.
- > How did things change so fast?
- > You barely recognize her anymore...
- > Your hand finds its way to the cold metal door knob, throwing it open to be greeted by down pour outside.
- > "You can't be serious right now!" She shouts at you as you take a step out.
- > Glancing back at her giving her an expression that screams that you are completely serious, you slam the door shut.
- > You definitely need to find a place to collect your self and cool off.
- > This can't really be your life right now.
- > From happily married a little less than a year ago, to this.
- > Maybe a drink will actually calm your nerves...
