  1. [21:18:24] ExoBassTix: here I go listening -----1-----
  2. [21:18:37] ExoBassTix: once again going solo on the listen lol why does this always happen to me
  3. [21:18:46] ExoBassTix: SYNC-LISTEN TIMES ARE NEVER DUTCH-PROOF DAMNIT
  4. [21:19:00] ExoBassTix: getting real western vibes off of Ashes To Ashes from the start
  5. [21:21:07] ExoBassTix: I love how it both stays the same and perpetually adds small things to play with my ears
  6. [21:21:59] ExoBassTix: amazing man
  7. [21:22:03] ExoBassTix: -----2-----
  8. [21:22:36] ExoBassTix: the intro is rather confusing, but I'm upset by the lack of interest from my surroundings
  9. [21:22:43] ExoBassTix: there's a guy dying and I hear everybody not caring
  10. [21:23:09] ExoBassTix: the chord progression has some confusing bits and very VERY COOL amazing bits
  11. [21:23:12] ExoBassTix: wow
  12. [21:23:28] ExoBassTix: the high reverse edge to it is amazing and wow that vox works
  13. [21:23:32] ExoBassTix: holy crap?
  14. [21:25:00] ExoBassTix: this track is a bit too motionless for me, as in, it doesn't move on
  15. [21:25:10] ExoBassTix: kinda missing that to be honest
  16. [21:25:20] ExoBassTix: -----3-----
  17. [21:25:31] ExoBassTix: clever
  18. [21:26:36] ExoBassTix: okay the drums sound really really good, both sound- and pattern-wise
  19. [21:27:11] ExoBassTix: where it gets quiet for a second and the beat goes away, the transition is too sudden imo
  20. [21:27:34] ExoBassTix: right there I still like it, but I'm sagging a little
  21. [21:28:09] ExoBassTix: right, excellent placement of outro
  22. [21:28:13] ExoBassTix: haha
  23. [21:28:17] ExoBassTix: clever.
  24. [21:29:11] ExoBassTix: at the end I started losing it a bit, perhaps because it was still as much as the first bit of the song, only with a more busy drum pattern and synth pattern, which tends to bore me
  25. [21:29:23] ExoBassTix: either keep it relatively the same and interesting, or add fullness
  26. [21:29:26] ExoBassTix: imo
  27. [21:29:34] ExoBassTix: -----4-----
  28. [21:29:41] ExoBassTix: you got my interest at the title
  29. [21:29:54] ExoBassTix: okay wow
  30. [21:30:04] ExoBassTix: this is so befitting the title even
  31. [21:30:06] ExoBassTix: my god
  32. [21:30:09] ExoBassTix: too befitting
  33. [21:30:29] ExoBassTix: the 4th sub note presses a bit hard on me
  34. [21:30:50] ExoBassTix: luckily that's the only one :P
  35. [21:31:02] ExoBassTix: I love how I didn't even notice the track got this much more full
  36. [21:31:07] ExoBassTix: perfect distraction
  37. [21:31:21] ExoBassTix: ah yes, beautiful part here where it calms down
  38. [21:31:47] ExoBassTix: this sounds like something very real
  39. [21:32:15] ExoBassTix: as in, it doesn't give false hope
  40. [21:32:50] ExoBassTix: the high rises I hear now and then sound really fuggin good, they totally distracted me there
  41. [21:33:02] ExoBassTix: the quiet ones
  42. [21:33:45] ExoBassTix: hmm
  43. [21:33:57] ExoBassTix: one thing for the outro
  44. [21:35:06] ExoBassTix: those last percussion hits, I would've given them a little more power at the end with a rising automation, as well as a rising automation for longer reverb decay
  45. [21:35:17] ExoBassTix: -----5-----
  46. [21:35:26] ExoBassTix: impeccable intro
  47. [21:36:07] ExoBassTix: this makes me feel like an airy, dust-free apocalypse
  48. [21:36:39] ExoBassTix: like he just got home on the 7th floor, with half of his house cut off
  49. [21:37:01] ExoBassTix: and like he's spacing, but not quite giving up on consciousness
  50. [21:37:23] ExoBassTix: the drums contain excellent motion
  51. [21:37:40] ExoBassTix: there was one point in which the sub was a little too loud for my liking
  52. [21:38:17] ExoBassTix: wow
  53. [21:38:37] ExoBassTix: only adds more to the airyness
  54. [21:38:51] ExoBassTix: where the new sound(s?) come in
  55. [21:39:00] ExoBassTix: and just as quickly they go
  56. [21:39:07] ExoBassTix: and we go back home
  57. [21:39:17] ExoBassTix: (??? what he just got home already, the story changed)
  58. [21:39:33] ExoBassTix: oh now he's -going- home
  59. [21:40:11] ExoBassTix: haha the steel sheet
  60. [21:40:44] ExoBassTix: amazing
  61. [21:41:44] ExoBassTix: -----6-----
  62. [21:41:54] ExoBassTix: I'm curious, the judge rating was high
  63. [21:41:59] ExoBassTix: oh is this the piano improv
  64. [21:42:07] ExoBassTix: ooooooooooooh my god
  65. [21:42:15] ExoBassTix: I'm gonna sit back for this one
  66. [21:42:25] ExoBassTix: (aka. take your 10 I'm gonna enjoy this)
  67. [21:43:36] ExoBassTix: goosebumps
  68. [21:46:19] ExoBassTix: that was fucking beautiful
  69. [21:46:51] ExoBassTix: the only thing I have to say about this track is that I don't really think it fits the album theme, but that's literally -ALL-
  70. [21:47:44] ExoBassTix: okay
  71. [21:47:46] ExoBassTix: moving on to the next
  72. [21:47:58] VINXIS: the rest is dnb and orchestral dont mind it
  73. [21:48:06] ExoBassTix: (had to shake #6 off because I know it doesn't fit with the rest so far)
  74. [21:48:17] ExoBassTix: (so probably won't with what's to come, especially hearing what you just said)
  75. [21:48:25] ExoBassTix: -----7-----
  76. [21:48:33] ExoBassTix: ah yes, Luigi DnB
  77. [21:48:40] VINXIS: omf g
  78. [21:48:44] VINXIS: oh'
  79. [21:48:51] VINXIS: yes
  80. [21:49:03] ExoBassTix: Dan, take your Luigi
  81. [21:49:10] ExoBassTix: hmm
  82. [21:49:26] ExoBassTix: when the track really starts off, the chord progression starts moving tons already
  83. [21:49:32] ExoBassTix: that could've been done smoother
  84. [21:49:33] ExoBassTix: oh
  85. [21:49:36] ExoBassTix: hey, more drums
  86. [21:49:41] ExoBassTix: that too wasn't that smooth
  87. [21:50:00] ExoBassTix: oh wow, the break is amazing
  88. [21:50:10] ExoBassTix: super chill and promising
  89. [21:50:24] ExoBassTix: not fond of the plain kick here
  90. [21:51:21] ExoBassTix: I think I would have definitely liked this a LOT more if this track didn't start off with this same chord progression, though I don't know what it would've done to the track's structure and story)
  91. [21:51:45] ExoBassTix: nonetheless the sound design is amazingly intricate
  92. [21:51:49] ExoBassTix: gotta love that
  93. [21:52:06] ExoBassTix: this break has taken quite long and doesn't quite raise a lot of tension
  94. [21:52:13] ExoBassTix: no, it even dropped all
  95. [21:52:16] ExoBassTix: hmm
  96. [21:52:45] ExoBassTix: gotta say, that was an approach to a build-up I've never (or not a lot) heard before
  97. [21:52:56] ExoBassTix: certainly very interesting!
  98. [21:53:05] ExoBassTix: hmm, yeah another break
  99. [21:53:15] ExoBassTix: and the outro
  100. [21:53:48] ExoBassTix: I can already say that I'm not a big favorite of the track order of this album
  101. [21:54:14] ExoBassTix: back to the outro of the song, the low pass was ... in my opinion, a little meh
  102. [21:54:41] ExoBassTix: maybe exclude the sub from it and just slowly let it fade from there, instead of completely letting it die with the filter
  103. [21:54:53] ExoBassTix: -----8-----
  104. [21:55:10] ExoBassTix: intro sound reminded me of a MetaDronos track xD
  105. [21:55:23] ExoBassTix: okay replay so I won't get distracted
  106. [21:55:29] ExoBassTix: -----8-----
  107. [21:55:50] ExoBassTix: why hello there
  108. [21:55:52] ExoBassTix: oh yes
  109. [21:55:59] ExoBassTix: this starts off very nicely
  110. [21:56:58] ExoBassTix: classic drums here
  111. [21:57:00] ExoBassTix: oh wow
  112. [21:57:17] ExoBassTix: hmm... one combination of keys that I didn't like that much there
  113. [21:57:36] ExoBassTix: wow, that new sound (how the hell do I describe it) is amazing
  114. [21:57:42] ExoBassTix: break
  115. [21:58:38] ExoBassTix: personally not a big fan of the focus on those strings that play long notes
  116. [21:59:04] ExoBassTix: and the outro was very cool, in that it was sudden but not off-putting
  117. [21:59:17] ExoBassTix: -----9-----
  118. [21:59:33] ExoBassTix: (okay I'm gonna repeat because OCD, the track order is messed up)
  119. [21:59:43] ExoBassTix: oh wow the bass in the intro is amazing
  120. [21:59:51] ExoBassTix: this is real smooth
  121. [22:00:07] ExoBassTix: percussion gives a little fast swing feel haha
  122. [22:00:19] ExoBassTix: oof, the crash was a little loud
  123. [22:00:41] ExoBassTix: and could've sounded better with a little less low
  124. [22:00:51] ExoBassTix: okay where the beat comes in again, just perfect!
  125. [22:01:11] ExoBassTix: it all compliments each other very very nicely
  126. [22:01:40] ExoBassTix: the changing of the bass is a very beautiful surprise too, especially combined with the waving noise
  127. [22:01:46] ExoBassTix: oh wow that arp
  128. [22:02:42] ExoBassTix: oh my god after the break when it builds up again, the drums are too perfect
  129. [22:02:56] ExoBassTix: ... oh, well the plain kick again
  130. [22:03:03] ExoBassTix: it's something that really tends to bother me
  131. [22:03:33] ExoBassTix: maybe vary that a bit more, and make it keep its impact cuz the impact is good, especially for what came after the build-up
  132. [22:03:45] ExoBassTix: oh my this incoming arp really finishes everything
  133. [22:04:37] ExoBassTix: the outro is perfectly paced
  134. [22:04:46] ExoBassTix: really enjoyed this
  135. [22:04:55] ExoBassTix: -----10-----
  136. [22:04:57] ExoBassTix: final track
  137. [22:05:04] ExoBassTix: yes please
  138. [22:05:44] ExoBassTix: Linkin Park - All I've Done
  139. [22:05:54] ExoBassTix: ExoBassTix runs away
  140. [22:06:07] ExoBassTix: ExoBassTix comes back and replays
  141. [22:06:10] ExoBassTix: -----10-----
  142. [22:06:51] ExoBassTix: this starts off really good, maybe make some sub notes wobble a bit in volume
  143. [22:07:16] ExoBassTix: ALLLLLLLLL IIIIIIII'VE DOOOOOOOOOOOOONE
  144. [22:07:24] ExoBassTix: ahem o3o
  145. [22:07:44] ExoBassTix: this is really beautiful, the few guitar notes just before where the beat comes in are perfect
  146. [22:08:04] ExoBassTix: vocal processing sounds good, but I can't hear all that's sung
  147. [22:08:29] ExoBassTix: (not that I mind, I don't usually listen to what people sing, instead I usually listen to what the voice sounds like and does to the track)
  148. [22:08:51] ExoBassTix: oh man
  149. [22:09:06] ExoBassTix: the structure of this track is such a tease, and a good one at that
  150. [22:09:20] ExoBassTix: the drums are perfect in sound and placement
  151. [22:09:49] ExoBassTix: okay once again the vocals, they're clearer but the kick messes with it
  152. [22:10:00] ExoBassTix: they fit very well sound-wise though
  153. [22:10:26] ExoBassTix: the bubbly voice is a little too bubbly, just a little
  154. [22:10:47] ExoBassTix: and the fade
  155. [22:11:00] ExoBassTix: yeah, that was very pretty man
