Here it goes.. I'm going to give it all my got to type up what I have below :)

Moderator Application by DwD_Flare

First of all, I know this application is rather late, but I hope this can still be considered. I'm typing this offline, no part of this is copy and pasted. (Except for the spammer part of course) The quote part was something I remembered from Dao's huge wall of text. At least I would like to get some constructive criticism from either of you, admins, as it's always nice to have room for improvement.

Age: 12.5 , (Read on, don't lower my chances to 0 just because I have a low age, DWG has the same age as me, I think :P)

Nationality: Chinese

Location: Hong Kong, China

Main Language: English. (I have better English than my Chinese. TBH I'm great at speaking both :P)

Time Zone: GMT +8, exactly the time when barely any staff are on.

Time on this server: 4 months.

Typing Speed: 67WPM, (Varies on different keyboards I use. On my macbook its this speed, I think its good enough :)) [And Harry I know you have a typing speed of 155WPM :O]

Special Interests, talents or whatever?

My personal talents are as follows:
I am able to solve math equations 3 years harder than my age, including algebra with cubic factors and irrational graphs.

I achieve high marks in most of my tests regarding knowledge, (5A's and 1 B' during last exam) (Though probably the worst art scores in the world). I also have a good drama grade.

I am a go chess player, with the ranking of 4 dan.

I have over-average English grammar and literature. I can prove it, just read on.

I have moderating experience on another server, and I also have a sensitive alert of rule offenders.

I take action to report people, search for my report threads for proof. I am able to provide enough evidence to ban people, not like those illiterate paragraphs which are made for nothing.

I have teamspeak, but I seem to get on at the most misfortunate of times. Either nobody is on, or I never get to see you guys stream >.<

I deal with inequality on behalf of our class at school.

Reason I would like to be accepted to be a moderator?

Personally, I dislike rule breakers, so I tend to warn them or try to make them change their faulty ways. Being a moderator is a serious business for me, I treat everyone equally during moderation and I would not kick/mute/ban people for reasons e.g, disagreeing with a friend. I read everything, including all of those denied moderator apps just to be able to make the perfect moderator app written here. I also tend to read rules, and obey them all the time. I will actually survey chat in appropriate mini-games, not be stuck to one game knowing that some spam in chat is going on at another side of the server.

I will obey the Strike system, with given warnings to advertisers and spammers before their bans. (Advertisers are perma bans, according to what I've seen)

I will treat all situations in the reports section carefully after reading through format. I will try my best to help the reporter into explaining the details of reported events, instead of yelling at them just to change format. Moderating may also increase my communication skills, and also help others in need. It basically gives me the power to help instead of staring into space able to do nothing.

I investigate reported griefings by any player carefully. I will not ban anyone without evidence and confirmation.

The main things to ban people of are: Spamming, cussing, sexual harassing/abusing, scamming, impersonation, PvP-bypass, cheating (Nodus, fly hax, x-ray), racism, discrimination of religious beliefs, and griefing (Includes over-claiming issues).

My chat will be more formal, with absolutely no useless ranting, as I am also supposed to be a model for other players.

I Know that abusing of power and Inactivity may lead to demotion.

This essay will guide you on how to be a good moderator.

What is the job of a moderator?
A moderator is a person who reinforces rules to other players. He/Her has the responsibility to warn and punish rule breakers. Moderators are able to give warnings, mute, kicks and bans according to the appropriate situations. They also have the permission to deal with report threads on the forums.

The strike system
The strike system is as follows. This system is required to ban people, unless its a severe incident, a grief, or an advertisement, where punishment may range from a 5 day ban to a perma-ban.
The strikes are as follows:
Strike One, where the player is warned.
Strike Two, a mute when applicable, (Only affects chat rulebreakers)
Strike Three, a 1-2 day short ban. This is for the guilty to rethink about what he has done.
Strike Four, a 3-5 day ban, where this player will have to really stop and think. For glitch abusers.
Strike Five, a 7-14 day ban, mostly for non-severe advertisers and griefers. All more than 7 day bans have the chance of a ban appeal.
Strike Six, where a perma ban will be in place. The player is banned from the server forever, unless with reasons otherwise.
This is mostly used in Severe advertisers, griefers, blackmailing, racism after warning, and sexual harassing.

What is needed to moderate in chat?
The main things needed to be moderated in chat is spam. Most rule offenders fall into this category-- spammers. These people may repetitively spam the same sentence, spam /tpas though when told to stop, spam island visits (Skyblock), types lines of unreadable chat (Chat flood), cussing, blackmailing, and sexual harassing.

Note, more than three lines of excess chat is known as spam.

Here is an example of a one/two day ban/mute.

The guilty is banned for this time period for him to think about on whatever he has done wrong. (If reported on forums.)
The guilty is muted for a short time period of a moderator is on, then banned for 1-2 days if he keeps spamming afterward. This is effective usage of the Strike system, where the guilty should stop and think about his or her spam.

Here is an example of a three-seven day ban.
The victim most likely has a feminine username. It's easy to notice.

This is a reference to a three to seven day ban, as the guilty is harassed by the victim. It is also a sign of cyber-bulling, something that is strictly prohibited on this server.

Here is an example of a perma ban.

In this example, the guilty is shown as advertising and cussing at a player. This is strictly not allowed on this server.

Case of Griefing

There is no griefing allowed on this server, so if a player is temp-banned for griefing, they're lucky.
Any sort of griefing must have proof of the guilty griefing. All possibilities of suspects should not be ignored, no matter who that player is. (except for Co-Owner +, where they don't even bother to get involved with griefing stuff, if they do they do post signs that they did it)

Pranks are a different story, they are shown if they are allowed or not.

Chatting as a moderator
As a moderator, you are also responsible for being a model to other players, if you spam alot yourself, other players will spam alot too. Moderators should avoid useless arguments under any circumstance. Moderators should not use excessive amount of caps either. Moderators should have appropriate punctuation during chat, or else leading to unprofessional issues. Moderators are normal players with additional responsibility to moderate, and moderator is not a prestige rank where you are set as VIP. You may not bully other players with this rank.

And thats about it. Timed myself, this whole application took me 82 minutes including the essay.

And regarding my age, I may be young, but I am experienced on minecraft servers, and I do have more maturity than other players with my age. (About 15 or so, as my mom says O.o)
