- *AHEM*
- Narrator
- [Coming back to our tale, the group is currently in Glass-Light Town. After beheading a couple of priests and starting a riot, the team now needs to coordinate themselves in the chaotic mess. Part of the rioting crowd has already moved to the other side of the barricades and the other part is currently in the process of bashing in the entrance to the administrative building.]
- Artur
- makes is way through the hole Ingen made. It's time to secure the boat. He checks his surroundings for any resistance.
- Ingen
- stands up and follows behinf Artur; looking for the vessel they intend to take.
- Narrator
- [While Artur can't see any enemies in the wild crowd, he can hear sounds of battle coming from further down the docks - it seems the crowd has already alerted the Keepers that were on the ship.]
- Artur
- decides to help out the war effort. The sooner this is over, the better.
- Quaranel walks into the hole in the wall after her companions. She keeps her staff out and firm, and looks around, frowning at her spell nto working. She's been lacking in practise in combat, it seems.
- Ilah
- hops down from the small building she was holding her speech from, passing by the corpses of the Keepers to catch up with the rest. She inhales the smell of blood and grips the handle of her Chatterer, ready to draw on a moment's notice. Better to stay ready.
- Ingen
- “Seems these people will do away with the keepers before we even get to them.”
- Narrator
- [The group doesn't find it too hard to get through the crowd - Artur's size and accomplishment of killing two people makes an island of empty space around the group as they proceed towards the ship.]
- Artur
- (Even): "I would rather we deal with them first. The less people to get hurt, the better."
- Ingen
- “Yes. Would be a pity to lose even one of these revolutionary spirits.”
- Narrator
- [The ship becomes visible as soon as the group makes it around the corner of the administrative building - unsurprisingly, people have already began storming it and occasional flashes of holy light are mixed with shouts and a body falling off the side of the ship. There are also sounds of fighting coming from the inside of the administrative building - the sign "Customs" now visible to...
- Narrator
- ...everyone - it seems that the mob has gotten through the main doors.]
- Artur
- "It's time we joined the fray. Capturing that vessel is our top priority." He makes his way towards the dock. Any keepers who stad in his way must fall.
- Ilah
- looks like she's enjoying the chaos. "Ufufu~! We could make sure this town'll stay under our control if we'd make sure that majority of the Keepers are neutralized, no? Though... we should take the boat as soon as possible! It is our number one goal right now."
- Quaranel "Right. We'll leave that for the rest of these people."
- Ingen
- grins, pleased with crowd’s like-minded intentions; and follows the group towards the vessel.
- Ilah
- nods, content with taking just the boat. That was the original plan. "Very well! We'll head for the ship!"
- Narrator
- [Moving quickly to get ahead of the crowd, Artur soon takes the first step on the ship's deck. Named "Summer's Bounty" (a golden plaque seen on the side of the ship), the ship seems to be a trading vessel with two decks. The sails are currently down and the deck is currently decorated with strewn corpses of civilians with a variety of bludgeoning and burnt wounds. While the fight is...
- Narrator
- ...continuing on the top deck (hopefully the wheel won't get damaged), the deck you're on has no battle-capable civilians, and instead, four Battle Brothers with a strong-looking Priest leading them.]
- Narrator
- [Priest]: "There they are - the accursed idiots that must've started it all. Prepare brothers, this battle will be a hard one."
- Narrator
- [The priest braces the trademark hammer of VI Orden, a silver circlet on his head glowing with golden light.]
- Ingen
- Furrows his brow at the five cursed figures.
- Artur
- raises his shield and takes a fighting stance. There is no words that need to be said to men of faith.
- Ilah
- grins wildly with her hand on the grip of the Chatterer, ready to bring it up. She points her vacant hand at the priest, making a small finger gun with it. "I suspect you could be right!"
- =-= Narrator has changed the topic to “Initiative: Ilah, Ingen, Artur, Quaranel, Priest, BB1, BB2, BB3, BB4”
- Narrator
- [It seems that the fight is unavoidable and Artur begins to head towards the advancing wall of battle brothers as Ingen prepares his first spell - a stunning hex. However, it seems that the battle brother he was targeting was prepared at least slightly to resist magics, and besides minute confusion is not affected by Ingen's spell. Meanwhile, Ilah, already armed with her chatterer, shoots at...
- Narrator
- ...the priest brother- the shot making contact with his left arm, blood erupting from the hole made by the bullet. At the same time as Ilah makes her shot, a bolt hits one of the battle brothers square in the thigh, causing a small fountain of blood to spray on the deck from the hollow shaft of the bolt.]
- Narrator
- [Despite being struck in the left arm, the priest concentrates enough blessed power to raise his hammer above him, a spherical gem emitting light on its top, and smash it into the deck, creating a blinding flash. While it's not bright enough to affect Quaranel and Ingen, and Ilah closes her eyes just in time, Artur is rendered temporarily blinded by the flash. When Ilah opens her eyes she...
- Narrator
- ...sees that the battle brothers are in motion, now only a meter or so away.]
- Ilah
- narrows her eyes as the Chatterer's barrels spin with the fast ticking rhythm. Another pull of the main trigger should be enough to finish this guy...
- Narrator
- [Ilah's thinking proves not to be quite right - the bullet makes a visible hole in man's chest, blood becoming to ooze out - however, the priest remains standing, at least for now. Ingen, making up for his previous mishap, applies the hex successful this time, the brother's movement immediately freezing. With the immediate danger in the face of enemy battle brothers, Artur seems completely...
- Narrator
- ...unfazed by his condition as he cleaves blindly into the man stunned by Ingen's spell, cleaving half-way into his left arm and, judging by sound, breaking the bone. Quaranel prepares to shoot again and the fight continues...]
- Narrator
- [Only a couple of seconds have passed since the beginning of the fight and now the battle brothers get to retaliate - with a *CLANG*, a hammer lands heavily on Artur's breastplate, and another one whistles past Ilah's head, the Odza ducking just in time to dodge. Quaranel herself is attacked by the priest, a beam of light erupting from his warhammer and flying by, blowing a part of ship's...
- Narrator
- ...railing where it lands and leaving a scorch mark on its place.]
- Narrator
- [Ilah quickly responds with a shot to the man's chest, blowing another hole in him and accidentally killing someone on the front part of the ship, the bullet going straight through. Ingen casts a spell on another battle brother, who has been unharmed so far, while Artur chops at another one's leg (and the deck as well), leaving bloody gashes and splintered wood in his wake.]
- Narrator
- [While one of the active battle brothers attempts to hurt Quaranel, he flails away at her, missing completely. A bright spark is seen - the priest casts restorative magics on himself with a prayer, but is still grievously wounded. Meanwhile, the other two battle brothers are locked up, stunned by the hex.]
- Artur
- blinks vision back in to his eyes, targetting the nearest Battle Brother with measured strikes.
- Narrator
- [The action slows down as Ilah prepares for melee combat and Ingen attempts to hex the priest - with little success, sadly. Artur continues to lay waste to enemy forces, spilling one of the battle brother's guts as he takes a deep lunge to block off the two stunned keepers. Quaranel is successful at killing as well, attaching another of her blood-sucking bolts to another battle brother's arm.]
- =-= Narrator has changed the topic to “Initiative: Ilah, Ingen, Artur, Quaranel, BB1, BB4”
- Narrator
- [Ilah decides to score one for the team as well and rushes at one of the stunned keepers, but stumbles on a body and swings wildly off, at least missing both Artur and the battle brother. Ingen hears Ilah's sword make a dull *squish* as it lands on someone's cold limb, instead of her intended target. Artur, meanwhile, cleaves through another man, leaving the last one to the bat-person, who...
- Narrator
- ...promptly shoots him in the chest.]
- Artur
- nods. "Their bravery was admiral, but there may be more nearby." He checks his surroundings.
- Ingen
- Scans the deck to see if there’s any life left in the fallen brothers.
- Narrator
- [The Keepers are lifeless, and it seems that the fighting is dying down - there are far more dead civilians than there are brothers, however Ingen can see the last hostile signature under the deck disappear slowly, extinguished by someone's blow. The sounds of striking blades and powerful grunts are replaced with moans of agony and hard-blowing wind.]
- Ilah
- picks her sword out of the corpse and swings it in the air briefly before stabbing a couple of holes in her original target. "Huumph! That's a couple foes felled," the Odza sighs and wipes some sweat off of her brow while leaning on her bloodied sword.
- Ingen
- “The battle is over Artur, hear it on the wind and in the people.”
- Quaranel (Unhappy) "I hope they find this Victory worth all the suffering."
- Artur
- closes his eyes. "You're right." He opens them again. "We need to find people capable of sailing this ship. It's time for us to get off this rock. If possible, we need to give succor to the wounded."
- Ingen
- (slightly agitated)“Where is that servant of the horror? He is supposed to be navigating this vessel.”
- Narrator
- [Seemingly out of thin air, the wizard in a tall hat materializes.]
- Narrator
- [Thild'Iku] (Calm): "I'm here."
- Ingen
- “Have you simply been observing this scuffle?”
- Narrator
- [Thild'Iku]: "Yes."
- Ilah
- swings the sword a couple of times to toss the blood off, before giving it a gentle wipe to bring it back to it's usual shine. "Mmm... Artur, want to help me find some sailors for the ship? These corpses aren't going to do much sailing!"
- Ingen
- Chuckles.
- Ingen
- “Had your fun then?”
- Artur
- "It would be for the best." Artur places his shield on his back before drawing a rag from his pack, wiping the blood off his sword.
- Narrator
- [???] (Loudly): "You four!"
- Quaranel stalks off without a word, replacing her crossbow away and getting out her staff, to begin tendign to all the wounded she finds on the ship.
- Artur
- turns to the noise
- Ingen
- Turns to the sound, still gripping his knife.
- Ilah
- sheathes her sword for the moment and turns like the rest. "Hmm?"
- Narrator
- [The voice comes from the upper deck, belonging to a man in semi-rich clothing and a bloody blade strapped to his waist. He seems malnourished, and a once trimmed beard is currently a mess. His clothing is torn in some places, with marks of the recent battle making a good contrast with the blue cloth of the coat. The man is surrounded with a group of men, seemingly sailors.]
- Narrator
- [???]: "So you are those so-called demon, eh?"
- Ingen
- (Strongly)”And who might you be?”
- Artur
- looks up at the man. "We are men and women looking to return to the mainland."
- Narrator
- [Berngurd]: "Berngurd Floatwind, a sailor by trade. If you're looking to get to mainlands, be my guests - you free my ship, I'm at your service, demons or not."
- Narrator
- [The man bows, wiping a trickle of blood from his brow.]
- Artur
- smiles under his helmet, despite such an exression being invisible. "Then you are just the man we're looking for. How soon can you kick off?"
- Narrator
- [Berngurd]: "As soon as supplies are checked - five to ten minutes, or after, if you wish. I have most of my men alive."
- Ilah
- nods with a cheerful smile. "Looks like we're in good company, then!"
- Narrator
- [Thild'Iku]: "It appears that the crowd is still storming the customs."
- Ingen
- “What is of importance in there?”
- Artur
- "As soon as possible. We're all on a strict schedule." He looks back to Thild'iku. "Let them. The ship can't carry everyone."
- Narrator
- [The Captain begins commanding his men while listening to the group, making sure the ship is ready to sail as soon as possible.]
- Narrator
- [Berngurd]: "Food, water, some money - Keepers too. You shook a lot of bile in people's guts with that speech of yours."
- Ilah
- kicks one of the corpses idly. "Hmm... I suppose we did! Then again, people were already fed up with the unfair treatment, so it was more like a little push that sets everything rolling down a hill."
- Artur
- "Anyone who is still alive can join us. In the mean time." Artur picks up the nearest body, throwing it in to the water.
- Ilah
- shakes her head and continues with a bit sadder tone. "So, a net positive gain... Even though some died."
- Narrator
- [Berngard]: "...Fair enough. Do you want everyone on this ship depart with us? There's plenty of space, but not enough for all the people on the shore."
- Artur
- "A net positive gain is the best we can hope for."
- Artur
- "They fought for a way back home, and I believe they've earned it."
- Artur
- "Let's gather up as many able-bodied men as are on this ship. We need to clean up this mess."
- Ingen
- Mumbles agitatededly to himself and swiftly retires to the captain’s quarters.
- Narrator
- [The crew is busy preparing the ship, bodies flying over the board and sails unrolled. Even the Horror's wizard assists, sending bodies away with a flick of his sleeve.]
- Ilah
- "...Yeah. I'll help you toss some of these corpses overboard. Well, the ones I can lift, anyway!"
- Artur
- "You need not concern yourself with such an ugly task, my lady. You have earned your rest."
- Narrator
- [Just as Berngurd has promised, the group is in the open sea in roughly fifteen minutes, good wind guiding the ship towards the mainland. The deck is reasonably clean, an occasional crew member mopping up a bloody puddle, and most of the Keepers' posessions stoved away under the deck. The group is found in the captain's cabin, with Captain Bernard unrolling a map for the four.]
- Artur
- has removed his helmet for this gathering.
- Narrator
- [Berngard] (Wary): "So, you're out to save that demoness in Shedmore?"
- Ingen
- Gives a slight hush to his shoulder as the others enter.
- Ingen
- “Indeed.”
- Ilah
- "...Hm?"
- Ilah
- (Confused) "Which demoness?"
- Narrator
- [Berngurd] (Nodding): "Then I'll dock the ship here - there's a nice bay, not put on the maps. It's close enough to Shedmore, about thirty minutes away."
- Narrator
- [The captain points at a poit on the map slightly west of the town, circling it with a piece of charcoal.]
- Narrator
- [Berngurd]: "The one that was stowed away on the other ship - I heard they imprisoned her as soon as she stepped on the docks."
- Quaranel (Hollow) "We are not briefed on a Demoness captured in Shedmore, no. This is the first we hear of it. What do you know about it?"
- Narrator
- [Thild'Iku is also present in the room, his hat squished in half by the low ceiling.]
- Ilah
- looks puzzled and pokes her chin. "Huh. Well, we could pop by, at least. Any idea what she looked like?"
- Quaranel she wipes her brow as she asks, her work on everyone not mortally injured having been long... but she does not feel displeased with it.
- Narrator
- [Thild'Iku]: "I haven't heard of many who traveled to the mainland."
- Artur
- "Unfortunately, we cannot stop there." He points to the wall. "After what happened here, passage past the fort will be difficult. We need you to bring us here past its borders."
- Narrator
- [Berngurd]: "Sorry, I've got no idea - I just heard the Keepers talk about her, after the news came by."
- Narrator
- [The captain looks slightly confused, pointing on the previous point where he indicated the bay to be and another one, past the mountain range.]
- Narrator
- [Berngurd]: "I can get you on the other side - it'll take us two more days. Though it'll take you much more time to get to Shedmore then."
- Ingen
- “The girl is not part of our present task; but perhaps she could be useful with such a reputation as hers.”
- Quaranel (Hollow) "I think we should at least stop there, and make a judgement call on helping her. If it would be too dangerous a detour, then we continue on, if not... we should give aid where we can."
- Ilah
- "We could strike a compromise. First visit Shedmore and see what the commotion was about, and then sail past the wall, if that's all right?"
- Artur
- thinks for a second. "That seems like the most sensible course of action.
- Ilah
- "How about you, captain-sir? Is it too much trouble or would you be okay with that?"
- Narrator
- [Berngurd]: "Aye, I can do that - I'll need time to gather resources and make minor repairs, but I can sail you from Shedmore to beyond the wall too."
- Narrator
- [Berngurd] (Chuckling): "I know better than arguing with nobles."
- Narrator
- [Berngurd]: "Shame to leave the Glass-Light Town how it is, but I'll worry about that after you're satisfied with my services."
- Ilah
- "Mm. Is the bay a good area to gather resources and make the repairs at? If it is, we could probably take a day or two figuring the situation at Shedmore, while you complete the work you need to."
- Artur
- "Order will be restored to the town soon. Life will be better for them."
- Narrator
- [Berngurd] (Confident): "It's a fine bay - they wanted to build a shipyard there at first, but it was too far from the town for that purpose."
- Ilah
- "And you flatter me! I'm not a noble, captain."
- Narrator
- [Berngurd] (Gloomy): "I don't think order's coming, just more Keepers. Not until that asp of a mayor gets strangled on his own belt... Though of course - give me a day, and I'll be ready to sail wherever you say."
- Ilah
- nods. "Alright, then our plan's a simple one. We land at the bay, give you time to complete your repairs while we visit Shedmore, and then we'll figure out what to do from there."
- Quaranel turns to face at Artur and Berngurd, now that that is out of the way. "I have completed what I can on those who were injured and could be saved, and instructed your men to move the ones too injured to work below. Those who were dying I ... ended their suffering. What do you wish to do to those resting?"
- Artur
- "if the captain is willing to take them as crew of his ship. That's his call. Everyone else must leave when we reach the shore."
- Narrator
- [Berngurd]: "There's plenty of merchants and simple men on-board right now - as long as they can walk, I'll help them get to Shedmore, and from there to their homes. I'll replenish my crew some time later - I have more than enough men to run the ship right now."
- Ingen
- “Then I believe we have all our plans set for once we land.”
- Artur
- "Thank you very much for your work tending to the wounded, my lady. We have all seen enough death for one day."
- Ilah
- sighs and taps her chin thoughtfully. "Well, we've got our plan set. If we've got nothing else to discuss, I'll to take a breath of some fresh air on the deck."
- Narrator
- [Bernguard]: "Aye-aye. One more thing: here are the documents I've found in my table - Perhaps they'll be of use to you."
- Artur
- smiles. "The plan is finalized."
- Artur
- holds out his hand. "I'll take a look."
- Narrator
- [The man extends a pack of papers and a couple of badges with VI's symbol on them.]
- Artur
- takes them and begins reading the reports, not interested in finding a palce to sit first.
- Narrator
- [Thild'Iku]: "VI's Orden badges. Authentic as well."
- Ingen
- “What do they say then?”
- Quaranel nods in regards to Artur's words. "It is the will of My Lady that I help all those who should need it. Not all may die so easily."
- Ilah
- pauses her step, suddenly interested in the papers. "Huh, anything neat in there?"
- Narrator
- [The reports mostly talk about different orders that previous Keepers received from the mainland: Fortification of the settlement, blockade, handling of a set of communication scrying tools to the town's leader and schematics of ships. What is more interesting, is what seems to be a map of some forest, with an X marked on it. Several notes such as "Practice Caution." and "Perform warding...
- Narrator
- ...rites" are marked on the back of the map.]
- Artur
- reads aloud the important bits, placing the map on the table. "Do either of you recognize this area?"
- Narrator
- [Thild'Iku]: "These are schematics of a section of Rotgale's lands - full of errors, but the general outline is correct."
- Artur
- "Useful intelligence. Now we know what they know."
- Ilah
- "Hm. Probably just to prevent the fauna from rampaging around the town, though."
- Narrator
- [Thild'Iku]: "I object - this is a rather in-depth area, far from the entrance, and even further from the Glass-Light town. Not all of her cultists have been that far."
- Ingen
- “Perhaps a secret entrance?”
- Quaranel (Hollow) "An area deep in her territory, needing to be warded. where not even her own wander. Curious. If something the Keepers are wary of is there, it may be of use to us... or someone above us, in any case."
- Artur
- "It is definitely worth explanation. We shall show this to the others when we next have the chance."
- Narrator
- [The party spends a night at sea, gently rocked to sleep by the waves. Waking up with the first rays of the sun, you are informed by the captain that the ship has docked and the repairs have started. Finding yourself standing on hard ground once again, you can immediately see a small dirt path leading east. The weather is extremely nice, with the sun warm, but not hot, and the light breeze...
- Narrator
- ...carrying a salty, fresh smell from the sea.]
- Artur
- turns to the others, spirits lifted after returning to the main continent again. "Is everyone ready to set out?"
- Narrator
- [Thild'Iku]: "Yes."
- Quaranel "I am rested and prepared."
- Ilah
- nods, back to her cheerful self. "A'yup! Let's set out to figure who this demoness is!"
- Ingen
- enjoys the warm sunlight and walks with the giant. “Yes, but let’s not draw -too- much attention.”
- Artur
- laughs. "I have done my best. I cannot help that I am large."
- Ilah
- "Huh? I don't see any reason Artur'd be drawing any attention."
- Ilah
- "He's just huge. Huge people are huge. Huge people don't necessarily get spotted any easier than others."
- Ilah
- "Well, in a crowd! Because in a forest a huge person might not be able to hide in a bush, or a tree, or something."
- Ingen
- “I mean for all of us. Starting trouble will not prove wise in a town full of wandering eyes. We must use caution.”
- Quaranel "Yes. Though he mentioned she was captured as soon as she stepped foot inside. Should that have someone capable of detecting our magic, no manor of stealth will avail us."
- Narrator
- [The peaceful walk through grasslands and hills is uplifting, sounds of grasshoppers and birds entertaining you on the way to Shedmore. Soon the image of the natural grasslands change to a pastoral one, small farms sprouting here and there. When you finally get to Shedmore you realize what Glass-Light Town is supposed to look like - a small cozy city with colorful roofs and two-story...
- Narrator
- ...buildings. This town lacks the magical lights set on the streets, but instead has oil lamps of exquisite metalwork. The people here seem happy and carefree, some passerby smiling at you as you approach the town's walls. A couple of guards are idly chatting, with one using his spear to poke at a pine cone hanging on a tree nearby.]
- Ingen
- Extends his arm in a halting motion.
- Ingen
- “A moment, if you please.”
- Ilah
- "...Sure?"
- Ingen
- Stares at the guards for a moment.
- Ingen
- “I don’t think we’ll have the same problem as that woman.”
- Artur
- "Then let us press on." He continues on through the gate.
- Quaranel "If you say so."
- Narrator
- [Walking through the gate, you find yourself in an even richer area of the town - there are a variety of decorations around, and an occasional store or two can be found on a corner of a street. Most houses have small gardens in front of them and going down the street you eventually end up on a small square, with a large statue of an armored warrior bracing his shield, facing east.]
- Ilah
- "Looks like people over here live pretty comfortably."
- Ilah
- "...I wonder if Glass-Light Town will look like this in a few months, too."
- Ingen
- “I’m sure our newly reinstated captian will see to it that it does.”

- "Ah... I have no money! I can just wait until you're done shopping if you need to pick something up, though."
- Artur
- "If there is anything you need, don't hesitate to ask me."
- Ingen
- “My coin is free to use for the group’s benefit. I have no use for it.”
- Ilah
- pats her backpack. "Don't worry, I've got everything I need in here~!"
- Quaranel "I have funds as well. I believe food would be worth it, since we will need to be traveling by land. However, I am reaching the limit of what I can carry."
- Ilah
- "Hmm... If you go shopping, I could go ask around to try to figure out who that demoness is and where she's been taken, 'kay?"
- Ingen
- “I would not be so blunt about something like that. People may get suspicious of you.”
- Ingen
- “The local tavern may prove a good place to overhear some current events from the locals.”
- Ilah
- "Ufu, don't worry. I'm very discreet and sneakylike with my tongue!"
- Narrator
- [You don't have to look for a tavern too long, since there's one to be found right on the other side of the square - named "The Wet Barrel", merry sounds can be heard from inside and you're greeted by a hearty "Welcome!" from the man at the bar stand. It's slightly too warm in here, but it smells pleasantly of cooked beef and the nice, clean environment is pleasant to be in.]
- Ilah
- "It's not like I'd just walk up to a local and ask 'hey, d'ya know any demonesses?'"
- Quaranel "(Dryly) "Wouldn't you?"
- Ilah
- (Adamantly) "Totally wouldn't."
- Artur
- smiles to the barkeep and waves. "Hello there. I'd like a mug of ale, please!"
- Narrator
- [Innkeeper]: "Sure sure! You bunch looking for work or heading overseas? If second's the case, let me save you some time and tell you that sadly, no ships heading over this month!"
- Ilah
- sits down next to the bleakguard. She looks a bit puzzled as she asks, "Huh? Why not?"
- Ilah
- "Storms a-brewing?"
- Narrator
- [Artur is quickly provided with a mug of ale and a smile, as the bearded innkeeper stirs something in a cauldron behind him.]
- Artur
- takes a sip
- Narrator
- [Innkeeper]: "Ah, I don't know much details really. Something about cult activity or something - I've heard plenty about that. They say that Rtazas is absolutely horrible in that relation! Though there was a ship couple of weeks ago...]
- Narrator
- [Innkeeper] (Leaning closer): "Heard they found a demon on it- Keepers have been interrogating it ever since."
- Quaranel takes a seat beside Artur. "I will take an Ale as well. A Demon's Fit...? How unfortunate..."
- Ilah
- "Huh. It cause some trouble..? Well, oughta be enough reason to stop the ships, I guess."
- Artur
- rubs his eyes. "That's some fantastic news..." he says sarcastically.
- Narrator
- [Innkeeper]: "Here you go, fair lady. Well, it's been big news couple of weeks ago, but people sort of stopped talking about it. The guards sometimes mention it, though, you know, Keepers and guards are two different things."

- [Innkeeper]: "No idea - I guess as soon as the other town deals with its infestation, though more likely when Keepers deem it safe enough."
- Ingen
- Sits next to Quaranel, enjoying the sauna-like environment.
- Artur
- "Well, at least the ale's always cold, eh?" He laughs at his own joke as he takes a swig.
- Quaranel takes a slow drink.
- Ilah
- "Looks like our travels are on hold for the while."
- Narrator
- [Innkeeper]: "That's true! Guess you have to see a bright thing in all things to keep happy, right?"
- Ingen
- “So with this demon scare, are there many more keepers coming through these days?
- Narrator
- [Innkeeper]: "Eh, here and there - Haven't seen any major movements for a while, though I heard that more will come if things get worse."

- [Innkeeper]: "Where else would they keep it? In the old barracks one, though - we had a new guardhouse built recently, and the old one went to Keepers."
- Quaranel "Oh right. That. Can't believe something like that just walked into town."
- Narrator
- [Innkeeper]: "Guess it didn't expect to be found out - I heard the Keepers say that a demon could be literally anyone - you, me or even that guy who catches your food!"
- Ilah
- "Huh. Literally anyone?"
- Narrator
- [Innkeeper] (Laughing): "That was a joke! You know, with all the recent paranoia, I think we need to relax a bit."
- Artur
- laughs. "What's it matter anyway? Any demon what comes up to me is getting their nose broken!" He chugs his ale.
- Ingen
- (jokingly)“You see why this one is a good companion.”
- Ingen
- “Sad to say we cannot stay much longer. I feel once you have finished your ale’s we must be on our way.”
- Artur
- finish his ale in one last chug. "You're the boss!"
- Ingen
- Rises from the table and nods to the bartender.
- Ingen
- “Thank you for your hospitality.”
