  1. >Black
  2. >All you can see is black
  3. >If black had a sound, you're hearing it
  4. >You try to speak
  5. >If black had a voice, you have it.
  6. >You see something
  7. >Light
  8. >Like a pin hole off in a distance, and it's growing
  9. >From the light you begin to hear something
  10. >A ringing in your inner ear
  11. >Getting louder like a freight train roaring in your ears
  12. >God, this hurts your head
  13. >Finally your eyes open
  14. >And you immediately shut them
  15. >That fucking sun is out for you, you swear!
  16. >And then you feel it's warmth
  17. >All is good in the world
  18. >Your forehead throbs painfully as you grab it gently
  19. >Adorning your forehead is a rather large, obnoxious bump, the size and shape of half of a baseball
  20. >It takes you a bit of pained hissing through your teeth to calm this bump down
  21. >You'll check it out later, for now, lets just see about your situation
  22. Brain, I need a sit-rep, what's my situation.
  23. >Static
  24. Brain?
  25. >We're sorry but the number you have dialed is currently not available
  26. What the hell? Brain!
  27. >Sorry cap'n we don't know shit!
  28. Fuck...Well lets start from the top. My name is...my name is...my...name is. What's my name?
  29. >It would come as a surprise but you appear to have amnesia, perhaps you should do the sensible thing and panic
  30. I would but there's no point to panicking
  31. >You gather yourself and check around your surroundings
  32. >Hey! It's a rucksack!
  33. >You take a peek inside and find some things
  34. >An iPod, a pen and paper, a flask, some strange stone and a feather?
  35. >What are these for?
  36. >Are these even yours?
  37. >You don't remember, maybe it'll come back to you later
  38. >You've acquired a bag of stuff that might be yours
  39. >You don't know if it's yours but you're willing to check
  40. >The iPod!
  41. >You pull the black and silver device, the white ear-buds dangling haphazardly
  42. >You turn on the small device and are greeted with a swipe screen and an 8% battery life
  43. >You want to make this quick so you swipe the screen and a password screen pops up
  44. >Without thinking, muscle memory takes over and you punch in a password
  45. >8239
  46. >And it unlocks with a soft click from the ear-buds, did you always have it so loud?
  47. >The device, and by proxy the materials in the bag must be yours, however you quietly chastise yourself over the volume.
  48. >Were you always so destructive to yourself?
  49. >You'll have to fix that
  50. >This device is clearly yours, you think, but with that low of power you want to keep things ready, so you lock it and put into hibernation.
  51. >Right, so this bag of stuff is yours, lets give the location a gander
  52. >You look around you and realize you're in a clearing of a forest with a single large oak in the middle of the vale.
  53. >Then you hear something
  54. >Snoring?
  55. >Suddenly you're on edge
  56. >Where is the sound coming from?
  57. >The tree, more specifically in the branches
  58. >Cautiously you look up into it and see a very peculiar thing.
  59. >It looks like a clump of rainbow colored hair hanging over a particularly wide branch, obscuring it's owner
  60. What is that? No creature I know of has rainbow colored hair like that.
  61. >you think aloud
  62. >You jump when the source of the snoring snorts loudly and yawns
  63. >Curse your habit of thinking aloud, the creature is stirring
  64. >You brace yourself to run, you do not feel up for a fight and flight seems very appropriate, but your curiosity is far to piqued by this strange rainbow colored hair
  65. >The hair recedes over the branch as a strange cyan creature sits up, yawning once more
  66. >You have never seen a creature like this before and you cant help but voice this accordingly
  67. What the hell is that!?
  68. >God you suck, you can't even control your surprise, and your sudden outburst caught the things attention as it turns it's head over the branch and stares at you
  69. >It has the biggest eyes you've ever seen, and they're magenta, you know you've never seen a creature like this before
  70. >Rightly nervous you start backing up, the thing staring at you silently
  71. >The moment you step out from under the canopy of the tree it drops to the ground
  72. >Standing before you is a waist tall, rainbow haired, cyan...horse?
  73. >You aren't quite sure.
  74. >The size of the creature puts you slight ease but you do not lower your guard
  75. >It narrow's it's gigantic eyes at you
  76. >Seriously, those are big eyes
  77. >"I don't know who or what you are, but you interrupted something super important, ya know."
  78. >Wow it...she has a raspy voice
  79. "First off, I'm a human, second what do you mean important, you were sleeping in a tree."
  80. >Are you doing this?
  81. >"Exactly, super important."
  82. >You are, aren't you
  83. "How is sleeping in a tree important, more importantly how did you get up there?
  84. >You're arguing with it
  85. >You think
  86. >She smirks and unfurls a set of wings, shaking them out
  87. >Okay, so she's a winged...something
  88. >"These babies let me fly up there and sleeping just is that important."
  89. >Wow what a juvenile response, eliciting a glare from you
  90. >"But it's okay, you clearly don't know me and you clearly aren't from here. The name's Rainbow Dash and I live in Ponyville."
  91. >Rainbow Dash? Ponyville? Ponyville...Ponies?
  92. >What kind of name is that, on both accounts?
  93. "What kind of name is that?"
  94. >You just voiced what you thought, you have about as much subtlety as a bull in a china shop with lit firecrackers lashed to it's tail
  95. >Rainbow Dash snorts loudly and glares, "Oh like your name would be any better."
  96. >You raise your finger and open your mouth to retort but stop short
  97. "Can I take a rain check on that answer?
  98. >Her eyes narrow again, "Now that isn't fair! I told you my name, why don't you tell me yours."
  99. "Because I don't quite remember what my name is..."
  100. >She cocks her head and her eyebrow
  101. >"Don't remember, how do you not know your own name?"
  102. >Trying to remember only gives you a headache bringing your hand to your forehead
  103. "Ugh! When I try and remember, my head just hurts"
  104. >Rainbow Dash starts hovering in front of you with her hoof, you guess, on her chin and looking at your head, specifically your forehead
  105. >"Hmm, well ya got some kind of bump on your forehead. Maybe you hit your head and that gave you that thing-that-Twilight-talked-about-that-one-time."
  106. >She states extending a leg towards it, lightly touching it
  107. >You scream in agony, your voice echoing in the nearby woods
  108. >"Oh jeez, oh Celestia, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to hurt you"
  109. >It takes all of your willpower to keep back tears
  110. >Instead you just get a line of snot running out of your nose
  111. "Oww, d-don't touch it...that felt like you punched me in the eye."
  112. >"Okay okay, I won't touch it...still got to figure out a name for yo-"
  113. >She gets cut off mid sentence as you sneeze and unleash a vicious snot-rocket to the ground
  114. >"Nasty...but it sounded like you said something with that sneeze, it sounded like you said 'anon'"
  115. >You look up, sniffing and rubbing your nose
  116. "Anon? That's short for Anonymous. Yeah that'll work, I think. Hello...Rainbow Dash, was it? I'm Anonymous."
  117. >You try and be cordial and extend a hand towards her
  118. >She stares at your hand for a bit, examining your fingers before placing her hoof into it
  119. >You grip her hoof, grinning like an idiot
  120. "So tell me, Rainbow Dash, what are you?"
  121.
