How to: Swipe n Wipe a computer (MAC AND WINDOWS!!!!)

Requirements:
DVD-R with 4.5GB or more
Flash drive with 8GB or more
Computer that you have full admin privileges to that has a dvd drive

****FOR WIPING A WINDOWS COMPUTER YOU WILL NEED ACCESS TO A WINDOWS COMPUTER THAT IS NOT LOCKED****

MACINTOSH USERS: Wiping macs is really easy, And you don’t even need a computer at your disposal, just look at the bottom of this tutorial on how to wipe a mac. (It’s pathetic how easy it is like honestly).

Step one: Getting/Creating your recovery DVDs


WINDOWS:
So when it comes to wiping a computer, when you wipe the Hard Drive, you wipe the Previously Installed Operating system (ex: windows xp, windows 7, etc.). If you have a windows 7/8/10 Install disc at your disposal, you can go ahead and skip this step.


Download a torrenting software to your computer (I prefer UTorrent)

Download a windows installer disc iso from some torrenting site, and once the download is finished simply stop the file from seeding in UTorrent.

(NOTE: IMGBurn is not a virus, Freeware is ads that come along with the download, always check custom installation and uptick the boxes that say “Also install toolbars, search engines etc” and you will be fine

Next, Open up IMGBurn and click on ISO TO DISC. Select your windows installer disc ISO and  Burn it to your DVD-R that has 4.5GB or more storage on it. Once finished burning, you will have a windows installer disc at your disposal! This will come in handy later on in the tutorial.

Step two: Getting the required software

WINDOWS: If your computer is an HP/Dell and has a BIOS Lock on it- You’re probably in luck! Because there is a way to get your master bios password from just your computer’s service tag. This is an application used on windows, so if you do not have a windows computer- PM Me your service tag and I will generate and send you back your master bios password.

If you have a windows computer at your disposal, go ahead and download the master bios password generator: http://www.mediafire.com/download/y31buryiqbg27ft/dell_595b_2a7b_keygen.zip


After You unlock and disable your BIOS Lock, You now have the ability to boot from a USB. This is the important part with non-Macintosh Users, as this next step is how we will wipe the Hard Drive completely.

Go ahead and download Kali Linux.iso

Either one works- if the computer you are wiping is old I would suggest the 32 bit Download.

Next, Download YUMI, A software that will write this ISO To your USB.

Now, once YUMI and the ISO you want is downloaded, run YUMI, Select the USB you’re going to use, check the box in the top right that says “Format Drive(Erase Content)?

Next, Select Kali from the drop down menu in the distribution section

Finally, Browse your PC and find your Kali Linux ISO. once selected, click “Create”. This will take about 5-10 minutes to work, so be patient. Once finished, it will ask if you want to add more ISO’s. Click no, Close YUMI, and Remove your USB. You now have an operating system on a usb that you will use to Wipe other computers!

Step Three: Piecing together the puzzle

Alright guys and gals! You should have by now:

A linux distro installed on a spare USB
A windows Install disc
And a BIOS unlocked Computer that you want to erase.


Simply launch bios setup (Usually pressing esc on startup a bunch of times or f 10) and set usb Hard Drive to boot first.

Next, Plug in your Linux Distro USB and restart the computer. You should get a screen saying Kali Linux, and You want to run the first option (Live amd64). You will boot into kali linux operating system now, and if it asks for password for user “root” the password is “toor”.

Now, go add a new file to your desktop, open the file, look on the side bar and find the hard drive of the computer. Click “Format” or “erase”. Format the drive to NTFS if you want, and then once format/erasing is finished, restart the computer. It will now prompt you to insert an installation cd, and This is where you insert your windows installer CD We made earlier. Go through the installer steps and you should be good to go!

MAC USERS:

What we will be doing is Creating a new admin account that will have full control of the computer and it’s functionality. With this you can change another Admin user’s password and login to the old admin account to access files etc.


Step One: Booting into Single User mode.

Simply turn off the mac, and when you turn it on, hold down command and s until you get a screen running code on it. Wait a minute for the computer to finish setting up Single user mode. You should have a white screen with black text/black screen with white text and it should look similar to a command prompt.

Step Two: Deleting Applesetupdone

What this does: What we basically do is delete the file that tells your mac that you’ve set everything up. When you delete this file, it does not delete anything on the computer, but it makes the computer think it’s a new pc. DO NOT TRANSFER DATA DO NOT TRANSFER DATA (you’ll understand in a minute)


SO when you are in single user mode- Run these commands:

/sbin/mount -uw /


*Press enter, Wait a minute until it is done mounting*
NOTE: Mounting the HDD will remove some orphaned files, ignore these

Then, type this in and press enter.

rm /var/db/.applesetupdone

*Press enter, Wait a minute until it is done removing*

Finally, the most straight forward command to run next is

reboot


NOTE: DO NOT TRANSFER DATA DO NOT TRANSFER DATA IT WILL CRASH THE COMPUTER AND MOST LIKELY BRICK IT!!!!

press enter, and follow through “The setup to your new computer”

Once you’ve setup a new account you can do what you please, make sure it’s an administrator/admin account.
