  1. Opt-out Master-list
  2.
  3. The purpose of this chapter is to provide you with an up-to-date and as complete as possible listing of any and all opt-outs deemed important and free to use. This means you’ll be able to opt-out of not only known data brokers but several unknown or less known brokers and even cut down on physical mail and e-mail.
  4.
  5. Many feel this isn’t needed as you have to provide information to remove information, but ultimately this is what’s needed by not only the law but for business records. Opt-outs are simply you acknowledging a contract made without your knowledge.
  6.
  7. Instead of remaining ignorant of them, you’re taking notice and stating you don’t want them using or selling your information. It not only helps reduce your online data footprint but also helps you cut back on carbon emissions and overall exposure you have online.
  8.
  9. Now we recommend you simply checkout the “Online” opt-outs and finish those and those alone as most of them are interlinked to many of the phone and fax opt-outs. Once you finish the online opt-outs (and that prescreenoptout) you should wait a month or two before doing the other opt-outs. A lot of information will be expunged as you opted out of one or two other sites.
