my pitch for a short film

So the main idea behind this screenplay is to write something that I could actually get made. Here's the concept.

It will be shot like a found footage movie, using amateur cameras in the first and second act and a cellphone camera + more professional tv like camera in the third act.

The story is about a vlogger, she's like an upbeat version of Daria. The first and second act is her vlogs. She talks about her life but still tries to do so in a comedic manner. One of the vlogs is a Q&A one. She reads out e-mails from her fans and responds to them. One of those e-mails is this touching but a little creepy e-mail from a fan who says that he doesn't have any friends in real life and feels like she is his only friend. He says how much she means to him and that, even though he knows she probably gets tons of letter like this one, he feels like he loves her. She doesn't know how to react to his words, her first instinct is to make a joke, cut the tension.

In another vlog we find out that after the Q&A one went online, the guy became a meme. His love letter is a joke online. Everyone makes fun of him now. We also find out that soon she has her birthday party. We see her buy decorations etc.

For the finale we switch to the cellphone camera view. We see shots of the party, people having a good time, drinking and dancing. All of a sudden you can hear gun shots and sound of glass breaking. People start screaming, chaos ensues. We hear more shots, our camera man hits the floor. The camera is pointing now towards the ceiling. We can hear our main character sobbing and begging for her life mixed with the sounds of heave boots hitting the ground. We hear one final shot and we cut to black.

We come back on shot of a newscaster, whilst a news jingle is playing in the background. He tells us about the incidents at the birthday party, how many were killed, how many wounded, who was the killer. We discover that the killer and the author of the love letter are the same person. We cut to an another video. It's mostly pictures of our main character with heart like decorations. A love song plays in the background. The credits start rolling.

This is still a rough idea and I imagine it will change a lot during me writing it but I'm excited. Tell me what you think.
