  1. My fellow Elizians,
  2.
  3. Today, we have lost a battle but not the war.
  4.
  5. At the hands of an obstructionist opposition that has steadfastedly sought to place obstacles in the path of our nation's progress, we have been dealt a painful but by no means decisive blow. As we were unable to persuade an unwilling Parliament to , we shall take our case to the nation.
  6.
  7. While the Liberal Coalition poraches division and partisanship, repeatedly attacking our very own Speaker and undermining the credibility of our nascent civil institutions through slanderous allegations under the veil of parliamentary privilege, our government is busy building a new, stronger Elizia. While the Liberal Coalition is at work destroying, we are building, building a robust financial system that will stand the test of time, building the rights of Elizian workers and minorities through legal protections and affirmative action, building and rebuilding our destroyed infrastructure through capital spending and building a government that works for all Elizians, whether Malay or Chinese, Indian or Vietnamese, aborigine or immigrant.
  8.
  9. While the Liberal Coalition is hard at work undermining public trust in our security services and in the integrity of the very institution in which we sit, we see a way forward. A better way. Our policies transcend ethnic, religious and socioeconomic lines to bring hope and opportunity for all Elizians, to bring safety to a population scarred and weary of the horrors of perpetual war, and to bring prosperity to a land where none has existed for a hundred and fifty years. Ask yourselves, when you look at the institutions that exist to serve you, who do you credit for their existence? Who has channeled the will of the people towards a greater purpose? Who has your best interests at heart?
  10.
  11. We remain, and we will always remain, steadfast in our commitment to place a roof over the head of every man, woman and child in Elizia, to give a decent, respectable job to every willing member of society, and to protect the human liberties and dignity of all Elizians. We will not equivocate on these believes, no matter how dark the future may look today, as no night can last forever, and no force can be strong enough to prevent the shining sun of progress and prosperity from filling the Elizian nation with her rejuvenating rays.
  12.
  13. We are strongest when we are faced with adversity. We will remain strong in our jihad for the hope of peace, wealth and freedom that is innate in the indomitable spirit of the Elizian nation. We will accept no end to this crusade save victory.
