Pokemon Yellow ~ Ash%

In this category your Pokedex needs to be the same as Ash's at the end of his Kanto Journey, your Pokedex can't have Pokemon that Ash did not have.

- Standard Glitchless rules
- The run ends when you talk to professor oak about your pokedex after registering all 16 of ash's pokemon into your pokedex
- You must get the following species in your Pokedex:
    *Pikachu (must be in party at all times)
    *Bulbasaur (must not evolve)
    *Squirtle (must not evolve)
    *Charmander, Charmeleon, Charizard (must be leveled above gym badge cap)
    *Pidgeotto (caught in viridian forest)
    *Caterpie, Metapod, Butterfree
    *Krabby, Kingler (super rod, get right after pokemon tower)
    *Tauros (for the viewers pleasure, all 29 are required :P )(yes 29, brock catches 1)
    *Muk (celadon)
    *Mankey, Primeape (route 23)


- Timing is done by in game time
- Timing starts at "New Game", ends after you talk to professor oak and show him your pokedex.
- You must catch the pokemon on first encounter
- You MUST lose all rival battles the first time
- You cannot use items in battle
- You may only heal at a pokemon center, via nurse joy
- You may not pick up hidden items (ash is to stupid for that)
- Save Christmas is under debate about what to do for it so just skip it for now

Route

Ash is a nub, don't pick up the potion
Throw a ball and fail to catch, then run from first pidgey encounter (after you get your pokeballs)
Fight spearow until you die (route 22) (run from anything else)
Catch caterpie
Catch pidgeotto
Defeat bug catcher #1
Evolve caterpie into metapod
Encounter weedle, fail to catch
Evolve metapod into butterfree
butterfree learns sleep powder (level 15)
Go to pewter for the first time
Go into gym see brock
Fight Brock
Lose to brock
pikachu learns thunderbolt (level 26)
fight brock again , winning this time
go to mt.moon
encounter 1 zubat, then run
leave mt.moon
go to cerulean
battle misty
get cascade badge
get bulbasaur (if happiness not high enough give potions at full health)
do nugget bridge (don't meet bill yet)
go to vermillion (don't fight surge)
get charmander (keep below level 22 until after sabrina)
go to vermillion (still don't fight surge)
talk to the girl who gives your squirtle
meet bill
go onto the ss.anne
challenge surge and lose (can only use pikachu)
go to celadon and buy a thunder stone
go to vermillion
toss thunderstone in front of surge
challenge surge, this time winning (can only use pikachu)
go to celadon
complete rock game corner (for silph scope)
walk towards saffron
release butterfree on the way to saffron
arrive in saffron
challenge sabrina before doing anything else in the city
lose to sabrina
go to lavender town
enter pokemon tower
make pikachu faint (must be against a wild)
meet at least 1 haunter (while pikachu is fainted)
go back to saffron
challenge sabrina
defeat sabrina
charmander learns rage (level 22)
catch mankey (must be nicknames Primeape)(route 22 level 3/5 20%, route 3/4 level 9 15%)
evolve into primeape
go into silph
go to celadon
enter the gym, then leave immediatly
go to game corner rocket hide out
go to giovannis room
leave rocket hideout
go back to celadon gym
challenge erika and actually beat her the first time
deposit all pokemon (including pikachu) expect primeape (save before next step because large risk)
solo the fighting with primeape (no center)
if you die load save and grind more till you can solo the entire fighting dojo with primeape
return all pokemon to party

catch muk (power plant 5%)

catch 29 tauros (level 21 10%)(, center area east higher level mons (go through level 20 lead repel) chansey 4%, marowak 5%, exeggcute 20%, nidoranM 15%, nidoranF 25%, nidorina 10%, repel removes 11% of encounters, other locations with taros it only removes 10%, this is the best area to search for tauros) repels increase chance of encoutnering a tauros from 10% to 11.2%
