  1. Practical Programming Ch1 Notes
  2.
  3. Novice - a single workout and recovery from it is sufficient to cause adaptation for next workout. planning on a daily level, lasts 3-9 months
  4.
  5. Intermediate - weekly planning, he benefits from more varied exercises, 75%+ of all athletes will not need to surpass this level of programming complexity
  6.
  7. Advanced - monthly planning, weightlifters work close to genetic limits and so are more likely to reach this level, high work tolerance and higher work requirement for adaptation. example: 1 week of heavy training, 3+ works lighter to recover. majority of athletes end their career before this. knife's edge between sufficient training stimulus and overtraining
  8.
  9. Elite - annual planning, small subset of genetic elite, <1% of all trainees reach this level. highly complex and variable training to elicit a small improvement
