  1. Dear Lisa,
  2.
  3. FreeAnons began as an initiative to support Anons who have found themselves facing legal persecution as a result of their position in the fight for freedom and transparency.
  4.
  5. Our goal is to provide financial assistance and access to our legal team to those who are so bravely taking on the burden of the battle for us all.
  6.
  7. FreeAnons consists of dedicated volunteers who operate solely on the proceeds of donations and fundraising initiatives. Over the years we have done some tremendous things and have raised many dollars to help support and defend our fallen comrades who face not only legal defense fees, but also loss of employment, medical coverage and multiple other financial downfalls of their often overblown and exaggerated charges.
  8.
  9. We believe that cyber protest is a legitimate and effective way for activists to express their opposition of political, and corporate actions in a non-violent and current manner. We believe that cyber surveillance laws, presented as anti-terrorism legislation are a direct attack on cyber activists in an attempt to silence the voice of the resistance. Activists should be prosecuted as activists; not as threats to national security.
  10.
  11. We live in the age of technology and as more and more of our lives are shifted to a cyber platform so increases our curcial need to potect our privacy and freedom within it.
  12.
  13. Unfortunately, laws directly attacking our right to protest online are also increasing and at an alarming rate. Activists on-line and on the ground are becoming public enemy #1 in the eyes of the federal government, law enforcement agencies are being given tyrannical and abusive powers and even those attempting to support freedom fighters are becoming targets as well.
  14.
  15. We are only as strong as our resources and resources are wearing thin. Financial donors fear retaliation and charges continue to mount against activists and whistleblowers.
  16.
  17. There is something particularly tragic about being being on the wrong side of your own country's Nation Security Agency. Consider the case of Matt DeHart; a second generation, member of the United States Military who was tortured, illegally held and labeled a child predator by the very government he had pledged his life to defend...all because he came into the possession of sensitive files pointing towards evidence of federal corruption and deadly false flag tactics.

  23. Review the case of Adam Bennett , AKA the beloved Lorax who was arrested this time last year for his alleged role in cyber protest. Charges have continued to mount and drop against Adam since the beginning of this nightmare. He is currently awaiting an all new , fresh set of charges after an entire year of conditions applied to ultimately unfounded ones. At the time of his arrest, Adam was dedicating his time to his community by working as Fundraising Manager for the not-for-profit organisation Cancer Support W.A. and saving real lives by volunteering as a Patrol Officer for Scarborough Surf Life Saving Club. When the AFP came knocking, media attention saw Adam being required to step down from Cancer Support W.A. Adam’s arrest not only takes a voice away from the internet due to his bail conditions, but also partially prevents him from being able to help others within his local community – something which has always been close to his heart. He and his team are credited with atleast one save since he has been out on bond awaiting trial. Adam has continued to work as a certified volunteer life guard till this day . Adam was host of anonops' Lorax Live radio broadcast where he gave his voice to activists, whistleblowers and other FreeAnons legal cases. Adam's fees are mounting rapidly while the Australian government drags his case out unreasonably. Despite a massive show of love during a recent twitter storm, we have only been able to help eliminate a small portion of his $200,000 goal in the year since his arrest.

  29. These are just two examples of the multiple brave and amazing cyber soldiers FreeAnons has the privilege to support. We will not rest until all persecuted and jailed truth seekers and freedom fighters are back at home with their families and able to continue their ground breaking work. With the financial assistance to help them see this through FreeAnons will win this part of the battle.
