  13. 00:00:23 When I first started this run, I said to myself I wanna get a good run but not depend too much on RNG. Thats the reason why I didn't reset until I got the 10% crit on the first Ganado. Looking back now that was the wrong decision and could have saved 1-2 more seconds in the end.

  35. 00:10:54 Del Lago. The run killer right at the end of the chapter, yay. The fight is very RNG heavy and you have to hope that he gives you the pattern without him diving. I had to hit him 11 times. I decided not to lower my difficulty for this fight, cause I need to take 3 hits for that + healing myself. So in the end it's faster to just hit him 1 more time than taking all those hits and opening your inventory for the heal.

  41. 00:13:22 The first Out of bounds (OOB) glitch of the run. It saves around 10-15 seconds. Depending on how fast you pull it off. You skip activating the lever, jumping back over to the middle platform and it prevents one wave of enemies from spawning.

  59. 00:22:29 To make sure I trigger the second phase of the Mendez fight, after throwing the third incendiary grenade at him, I had to take 2 hits here. It lowers my ingame difficulty. This was the best place to do it, since you have to wait until the elevator gets down and I wanted to open my inventory anyway, switching to the grenade. So I could just heal myself at the same time.

I throw the first 2 incendiary grenades at him, climb up the ladder, throw the third grenade and before the second phase triggers I grab the hand grenade in the top area. After that I finish him off with 2 more incendiarys + the explosiv barrel.

  76. 00:31:33 Oh boy, here we go. I kill the 2 archer and the shield enemies right at the start. If you kill more enemies, another wave of shield guys will spawn (with an unskippable cutscene), so I can't just kill everyone. The shield Zealots are the biggest problem - they are not affected by flash grenades.

  78. 00:32:07 As soon as you open the door again, the real fun starts. I throw 2 flash grenades to stun as many enemies as possible. When you are the crank there is only one thing to do - hope and pray that noone interrupts you. Using Ashley here is slower than Leon, so thats not an option.

  86. 00:35:57 Novistadores are the most random enemies in the game. Turning the camera away from them makes them less aggressiv and it's less likely that they grab you. But sometimes they do it anyway. These bugs are run killers and the first area is actually easy compared to the other 2 later in the run.

  88. 00:37:15 You can skip this cutscene if you throw a flash grenade before you jump down. It saves 3 seconds. But I need my flash grenades for other, more important parts of the game.

  90. 00:37:56 The red Zealot glitch. Normally you are supposed to chase the red guy all over the area, until he gets to his gatling gun. But you can prevent that. I throw down a flash grenade to stun all the normal enemies. After that I throw an incendiary at the red monk just at the correct spot and jump down. DONT skip the cutscene. As soon as he tries to run away he gets affected by the fire and gets stopped. After that you just have to snipe him with the rifle. Since I didn't shoot the explosiv barrel to clear out all the other enemies, I had some trouble getting past this screen without getting hit. Also my sniping was pretty slow. Overall it was still the fastest chapter I got out of all my attempts.

  120. 00:54:17 It's random if you get staggered by a fireball here. So I decided to just reload my handgun since I wanted to do this anyway. The stagger animation cancels the reload animation, but the reload still goes through.

  122. 00:55:57 If your ingame difficutly is low enough, both Garradors die from the rocket. But then again, it takes longer to lower your difficulty from getting hit, than it is to just pull out the rifle and finish the armored Garrador off.

  126. 00:56:56 Ditman glitch time. From now on you see me switch weapons all the time. If you have the Striker equipped start aiming with it and before the red laser pointer appears you want to switch your weapon. Now you run 50% faster. Also Leons animations + firespeed is faster. But the glitch gets canceld by almost everything. Taking damage, opening doors, leaving the area, some cutscenes, getting staggered, QTE's aiming with the Striker again.

  136. 00:59:53 The next OOB glitch. You need ditman for it and you wanna use the zip-line twice in a row. Basically how this works is, that you move too fast for the zip-line while you have ditman active. So if you use it the second time, before the zip-line is all the way up again, you land outside the map. The zip-line moves you the same distance all the time, since it's not all the way up again, that's outside the map.

  138. 01:01:02 Last Novistadores area. Getting inside the second cave right here is the hardest part. All the bugs are flying, so they are very grab heavy. But overall this area is much easier than the one in 4-1.

  155. 01:09:30 The elevator. The hardest part of the chapter. By far. Your positioning has to be perfect or it will probably not work. You want to shoot all the Zealots off the elevator as soon as they land on it. This keeps it moving.

  159. 01:11:11 Salazar skip. I'm pretty good at this one, so I didn't really saw it as a real problem. But I could have done it still a bit faster. Maybe 1 or 2 seconds. After I leave the room I go back in to steal his money. The game thinks Salazar is dead if you open the door from this side, so the money drops.

But that also means going to the merchant one more time for the extra rocket launcher, getting the money for it, and Leon gets hit by the explosion too. So I have to heal after. You lose time here using the knife, but overall it's still faster than the rocket, cause you dont have to get extra money/items for it. Knife is also cooler.

  219. 01:36:20 This chapter is 90% RNG. Archer hit you out of nowhere, the gatling guns can hit you inside cutscenes (yes, really), and Mike (Helicopter) also is an Idiot most of the time.

  221. 01:37:25 Finally I use my incendiary grenade to take out one of the gatlings. For the rest of the chapter I mainly use the Killer7. It oneshots everything.

  229. 01:41:17 Saddler. With the Killer7 a really easy and fast fight. Shoot the eye on his leg, shoot his main eye and rocket him into oblivion. You can take your time on the rocket shot, cause you have to wait for the bridge to come up anyway. The red rocket (which is not a rocket launcher OMGScoots) finishes him.
