  2. [12/11/21 20:27:52]<NitoKa|GM> When we last left our Heroes(?) they had been kicked out unfairly from their abode, the Stable. They had traveled outside into a desert and caught themselves into a Sandstorm. Seeking refuge, they made their way into a convience store, where they found some goodies, including a mysterious note. It is morning now, and the first few ponies should be waking up.
  3. [12/11/21 20:28:27]? Ley_Ray turns over, half asleep. His hooves run over the sandy, rough tiles of the floor. He jumps to his hooves, moving them frantically over the floor and walls. "H-hey? Hey!? ...no. W-" He pants, panicking. "HEY, SOMEPONY!"
  4. [12/11/21 20:29:13]? Revenant just took second watch. and third. and fourth. she's still awake. and wide eyed.
  5. [12/11/21 20:29:22]? Golden_Breeze is sleeping, drooling on Kinda_Sorta a little as he uses her as a pillow.

  7. [12/11/21 20:29:59]<Revenant> "Yes Brother?"
  8. [12/11/21 20:30:10]? Revenant turns from the doorway she'd been sitting in to look at Ley_Ray
  9. [12/11/21 20:30:12]? Kinda_Sorta 's eyes dart open, she tries to stand to her hooves but finds it rather hard with somepony using her as a pillow. "Whats wrong??"
  10. [12/11/21 20:30:48]? Soft_Shores stretches out in her clean little corner and gives a little yawn. "Yay, new day."
  11. [12/11/21 20:31:37]? Golden_Breeze grumbles and fluffs Kinda_Sorta's flank befor going back to useing it as a pillow.
  12. [12/11/21 20:32:07]? Ley_Ray turns his head to Kinda_Sorta's voice. He lets out a long sigh of relief, recomposing himself. "Oh, eh, it's nothing." He grins.
  13. [12/11/21 20:33:05]? Revenant shrugs and looks back outside
  14. [12/11/21 20:33:25]? Ley_Ray grins at Revenant's direction as well.
  15. [12/11/21 20:34:51]? Kinda_Sorta looks over at Ley_Ray with a worried look, then back to Revenant. "Is it my turn to take watch?" she whispers trying not to wake Golden_Breeze.
  16. [12/11/21 20:35:44]? Revenant smiles and waves a hoof, speaking softly. which for her is just a little under normal volume for another pony "It is alright, sister. I am still fresh and wide awake."
  17. [12/11/21 20:36:06]? Ley_Ray pats around, finding his walking cane and levitating it.
  18. [12/11/21 20:36:47]? Golden_Breeze is a heavy sleeper, the Apocalypse could happen again and he would be none the wiser.
  19. [12/11/21 20:38:44]* Notify: nomad is online (Canternet).
  20. [12/11/21 20:38:54]? Kinda_Sorta looks over at her brother leaning on her and rolls her eyes with a smile. She tries to wiggle out from under him little by little so as not to drop his head on the floor.
  21. [12/11/21 20:38:59]<NitoKa|GM> Everything seems quiet outside, the storm has died down, the wind not really that strong
  22. [12/11/21 20:39:06]* Godna is now known as Odd_Ball
  23. [12/11/21 20:39:39]? Soft_Shores finds a window to peek out of curiously as everyone greets the morning.
  24. [12/11/21 20:39:39]? Golden_Breeze snores and wiggles a little, getting comfortable again, curled up in ball of fur and feathers.
  25. [12/11/21 20:39:39]? Revenant only has a portion of her barding on, covering her torso mostly, but leaving her underside partially exposed. she also doesn't have the leg armor on. She seems quite happy with this because she isn't sweating nearly as much this way.
  26. [12/11/21 20:41:32]<Kinda_Sorta> "Golden sure is a heavy sleeper..." she mutters and starts to wiggle back into her scientist scrubs. "Been quiet Sister?"
  27. [12/11/21 20:41:50]? Ley_Ray carefully moves toward where he heard Kinda_Sorta's voice, as to not kick or stumble.
  28. [12/11/21 20:42:00]? Revenant nods "The storm passed during the night and it has been quiet since."
  29. [12/11/21 20:42:01]<Ley_Ray> "Good for him."
  30. [12/11/21 20:43:41]? Kinda_Sorta trots over to greet Ley_Ray with a morning nuzzle. "Sleep okay?"
  31. [12/11/21 20:48:07]? Ley_Ray leans forward, wrapping his hooves around Kinda_Sorta. "Waking up was better, to be with my family again." He says softly.
  32. [12/11/21 20:49:45]? Golden_Breeze mummbles something and yawns, ruffling his wings, picking his head up and looking around. as this is the first time anyone here has seen him without his glasses, you all notice his eyes are derpy.
  33. [12/11/21 20:52:28]<Golden_Breeze> "Oh... well thats weird..." he grumbles as he feels around for his glasses.
  34. [12/11/21 20:53:22]? Kinda_Sorta sighs. "I just hope that after all this we can go back home..." She pulls away and looks around at the rest of the family. She glances over Golden but her eyes dart back to his eyes. She keeps staring as if mezmerized but finally manages to say, "Uhh. Lost your glasses?"
  35. [12/11/21 20:56:21]? Revenant blinks at Golden_Breeze and tilts her head then shrugs and looks back outside
  36. [12/11/21 20:56:26]* Notify: DontAskForCookies is offline (Canternet).
  37. [12/11/21 20:56:30]? Golden_Breeze trys to focus on her with his derpy eyes and says, "yeah, I know I puts them around here somewhere..."
  38. [12/11/21 20:57:48]? Ley_Ray lowers himself, sweeping the floor slowly with his cane. "Well, the won't just walk away. We can find them. What do they feel like?"
  39. [12/11/21 20:59:06]? Revenant scoots around so she's sitting sideways in the doorway and helps look from where she's sitting
  40. [12/11/21 21:00:26]? Kinda_Sorta helps Golden look for the glasses as well.
  41. [12/11/21 21:02:45]<Golden_Breeze> His glasses are on a table,.. Breeze just seems to have forgoten that he put them there.
  42. [12/11/21 21:02:55]? Revenant points "Over there sticking out from under the couch, Kinda."
  43. [12/11/21 21:03:02]? Soft_Shores is just looking out various windows, trying to spot landmarks or anything similar.

  46. [12/11/21 21:03:50]? Golden_Breeze looks around, everything is just kind of blurry blobs to him at the moment.

  48. [12/11/21 21:05:12]? Kinda_Sorta is already wrapping her magic around the glasses. They float over to Golden_Breeze and tap his head lightly. "Here you go brother."
  49. [12/11/21 21:06:35]? Golden_Breeze carfully takes his glasses and puts a little string around the hooks that go around his ears, then puts them on, blinking a few times till his eyes underp, "thanks guys..."
  50. [12/11/21 21:08:25]<Revenant> "Not a problem brother."
  51. [12/11/21 21:08:47]? Kinda_Sorta smiles. "Thats what family is for."
  52. [12/11/21 21:09:39]? Kinda_Sorta looks over at the only pony that didn't help Golden look for his glasses. "Are you okay Soft_Shores? You seem...really quiet."
  53. [12/11/21 21:09:59]? Golden_Breeze smiles a little and says, "I can't loose these... I don't think there's a place out here that carries my prescription."
  54. [12/11/21 21:11:32]? Soft_Shores just turns around to Kinda and raises an eyebrow curiously, then goes back to staring out the window, but now that someone was watching her, they could tell she wasn't looking out the window, but at the rotting wood of the windowsill.
  55. [12/11/21 21:12:25]? Ley_Ray stretches and walks along the walls again. "Hang in there sister. We are with you." He moves under a sunlit window. "Hey, it's warm here. Nice."
  56. [12/11/21 21:12:56]? Golden_Breeze starts getting dressed, "Is there a bathroom somewhere?"
  57. [12/11/21 21:13:25]<NitoKa|GM> A message beeps on their pipbucks, automatically playing. "So, you made your first day? Congradulations! If you are some sort of scavenger who has found this ponies body and taken thier pipbuck, also gradulations! You must countinue the mission and make your way to the marker on the map!"
  58. [12/11/21 21:14:09]? Revenant points at the bathroom for Golden_Breeze, pretty much ignoring her pipbuck
  59. [12/11/21 21:14:53]? Kinda_Sorta thinks for a moment. "I don't recall seeing a--" she's interrupted by the pipbucks all going off at once. "...I guess our progress is being watched."
  60. [12/11/21 21:14:58]? Golden_Breeze goes towards the bathroom, closeing the door behind him.
  61. [12/11/21 21:17:38]? Soft_Shores goes over to a windowsill on the opposite side of the room, looking for something only her mind could comprehend, well, others could comprehend it, but it'd be boring.
  62. [12/11/21 21:18:02]<Ley_Ray> "Nah. If they knew what was going on they wouldn't mention dead ponies." He pokes his head out of the doorframe, orientating himself with his walking cane. "So, we are really doing this?"
  63. [12/11/21 21:18:24]? Revenant flaps her wings and starts nibbling on one. itchy wing. stupid sand. How are you still everywhere?
  64. [12/11/21 21:18:32]? Golden_Breeze Preens himself inside the bathroom.
  65. [12/11/21 21:18:41]<Revenant> "We must. To return home."
  66. [12/11/21 21:19:19]? Kinda_Sorta is still watching Soft with worried eyes. "We can't stay here..."
  67. [12/11/21 21:20:35]? Soft_Shores nods. "Okay." She brings her map back up and cautiously pokes the door open. "Are we leaving now then?"
  68. [12/11/21 21:21:12]<Ley_Ray> "Just show me where to."
  69. [12/11/21 21:21:14]? Revenant grumbles and straightens out a few errant feathers "We must wait for Brother Breeze to finish, and perhaps eat something before we leave. it would not do to let ourselves waste away to nothing."
  70. [12/11/21 21:22:03]? Golden_Breeze walks out of the bathroom ruffling his now clean wings and sighing in relief, "so much better."
  71. [12/11/21 21:23:49]? Ley_Ray sniffs. "I haven't smelled anything like food since yesterday. Any ideas?"
  72. [12/11/21 21:25:03]? Kinda_Sorta Tricks nods realizing how hungry she is now. "Yeah. Did everypony remember to bring food?" She starts to dig through her saddlebags and her eyes catch a few feathers stuck to her sides with dried saliva. She picks them off and continues through her bags.
  73. [12/11/21 21:25:04]? Golden_Breeze 's stomach grumbles, "yeah... breakfest would be nice guys..."
  74. [12/11/21 21:25:05]? Revenant pulls out a snack cake and crinkles the packaging "Snack cakes are all I have. and not many of those."
  75. [12/11/21 21:25:37]? Revenant pokes a bottle of Sparkle Cola "And a few bottles of cola."
  76. [12/11/21 21:26:04]<Soft_Shores> "I packed a few lunches myself." She says, already opening one of the boxes. "My plan was to not have to go to the mess hall, and keep studying. I guess they came in handy."
  77. [12/11/21 21:26:25]? Golden_Breeze has nothing, he looks hungerily at the snack cake...
  78. [12/11/21 21:26:55]? Revenant gives a snack cake to breeze and gets one for herself, grabbing her brushie and brushing her mane while she noms.
  79. [12/11/21 21:27:30]? Ley_Ray sighs. "Sorry folks. I got nothing... Well, I'm not too bad yet, so we might as well just go."
  80. [12/11/21 21:27:58]? Revenant shrugs "You can have my last cake, Ley."
  81. [12/11/21 21:28:10]? Golden_Breeze noms on it happily, then digs out the juice box and sips on it, trying to make sure he didn't drink it all.
  82. [12/11/21 21:28:15]? Kinda_Sorta levitates out two boxes of food and two bottles of water. "I've got a little to spare..."
  83. [12/11/21 21:29:50]<Soft_Shores> "I can share half my peanut butter sandwich?"
  84. [12/11/21 21:31:23]<Ley_Ray> "Well, if you're okay with it, sister..." He trots closer to Revenant.
  85. [12/11/21 21:32:02]? Revenant places her brush back in her bags and digs out her last snack cake, hoofing it over to Ley_Ray as he gets closer
  86. [12/11/21 21:32:11]<Kinda_Sorta> (redact, Kinda_Sorta pulls out two cans of beans*)
  87. [12/11/21 21:33:59]? Ley_Ray munches a snack cake.
  88. [12/11/21 21:34:08]<Ley_Ray> "Thanks."
  89. [12/11/21 21:34:27]<Revenant> "Mhmm~"
  90. [12/11/21 21:35:01]? Revenant pulls out a cola and pops the cap off, spitting it out into her bags since there isn't a trashcan nearby
  91. [12/11/21 21:37:21]? Kinda_Sorta opens a can of beans and starts eating them. "These aren't as tasty when you don't cook them...but oh well."
  92. [12/11/21 21:38:07]? Golden_Breeze offers Kinda_Sorta the rest of his juice box.
  93. [12/11/21 21:39:20]? Kinda_Sorta smiles and offers the rest of her beans. "Trade you?"
  94. [12/11/21 21:39:58]? Soft_Shores guesses nobody wanted her PB&J! So she starts on the first half.
  95. [12/11/21 21:40:24]<Golden_Breeze> "sure."
  96. [12/11/21 21:41:51]? Kinda_Sorta nudges the rest of the beans to Golden_Breeze and takes the juice box. She finishes the rest of it.
  97. [12/11/21 21:41:52]? Ley_Ray keeps his ears sharp for the sounds outside
  98. [12/11/21 21:43:05]? Golden_Breeze starts eating the beans, licking the inside of the can to get them all.
  99. [12/11/21 21:45:14]? Kinda_Sorta looks over the rest of her food and her two bottles of water and repacks them. "Should we get moving?"
  100. [12/11/21 21:46:16]? Ley_Ray listens a bit confused to the many different sounds the surface has.
  101. [12/11/21 21:49:29]? Revenant takes another drink of her cola and offers it to Ley_Ray, nodding at Kinda_Sorta "Now that we have eaten something we should probably set out soon, before the sun gets too high, if yesterday was an example, it will get astoundingly hot."
  102. [12/11/21 21:50:18]? Ley_Ray can't see.
  103. [12/11/21 21:51:03]? Revenant wafts it underneath his nose
  104. [12/11/21 21:52:12]? Golden_Breeze nods, "We might wanna travel at night, when its cool..."
  105. [12/11/21 21:52:28]? Ley_Ray smells it. "Oh, is that cola?"
  106. [12/11/21 21:52:47]? Revenant shakes her head "We should travel while can see." she looks at Ley_Ray "Mhmm~ Want some?"
  107. [12/11/21 21:53:07]<Ley_Ray> "I do!" He grins.
  108. [12/11/21 21:53:20]<Revenant> "Well then have some!"
  109. [12/11/21 21:54:03]<Revenant> "I think what is more prodent is getting equipment suited for these environs." She sighs tapping her barding "This barding is too stifling for the temperature."
  110. [12/11/21 21:54:28]<Revenant> "And finding food."

  112. [12/11/21 21:54:39]? Golden_Breeze is licking stuff off his muzzle from the can of beans.
  113. [12/11/21 21:56:48]? Ley_Ray floats the cola bottle and drinks.
  114. [12/11/21 21:57:50]? Soft_Shores prods at her loose gown like scrubs. "I dunno, my clothes are alright, but I can see where armor would be a problem."
  115. [12/11/21 21:58:42]? Kinda_Sorta shifts her scrubs. "Okay. Lets get a move on...before we eat all of our food."
  116. [12/11/21 21:59:51]? Revenant nods "Would you like to ride on my back again, Ley?"
  117. [12/11/21 22:01:23]? Golden_Breeze nods, "I wish we had some scarves or something to cover our heads with..."
  118. [12/11/21 22:02:12]? Revenant idly wonders if there is a group called the Bene Gesserit out here, if anypony is alive.
  119. [12/11/21 22:02:44]? Soft_Shores decides she'll follow this time instead of lead, a little bit easier.
  120. [12/11/21 22:03:05]<Ley_Ray> "I like your tail better." He grins. "Seriously. I can't be just load on your back, I have to walk my part too. That and I want to know where I'm walking to."
  121. [12/11/21 22:04:25]? Kinda_Sorta checks her pipbuck's map for the marker and makes her way for the door. "Everypony ready then?" she says before opening the door a bit and peeking through a small crack.
  122. [12/11/21 22:05:11]? Golden_Breeze follows Kinda_Sorta, adjusting his saddle bags.
  123. [12/11/21 22:05:18]? Revenant smiles "I would like to see if my idea would work, but if you would like to walk them I have no qualms being your guide."

  125. [12/11/21 22:05:49]<Ley_Ray> "I'm set."
  126. [12/11/21 22:06:47]? Revenant stands up and checks her pipbuck map to see where they are "Well then, if everypony is ready, let us be off!"
  127. [12/11/21 22:07:03]? Kinda_Sorta opens the door and steps out into the heat. Her hooves sink into the sand a bit and she takes a look behind her to make sure everypony is following.

  129. [12/11/21 22:07:39]? Revenant flicks her tail against Ley_Ray's muzzle so he knows where it is
  130. [12/11/21 22:08:21]? Ley_Ray bites it and gets ready to follow Revenant into the sandy path.
  131. [12/11/21 22:09:02]? Revenant trots off leading Ley_Ray over to Kinda_Sorta and Golden_Breeze
  132. [12/11/21 22:10:00]<NitoKa|GM> Black Hat follows behind them, too tired to talk or somethin
  133. [12/11/21 22:10:23]? Soft_Shores likes this sand, she blends in quite easily, except for her clothes. She was working out distances and such to try and figure out how many days it would take.
  134. [12/11/21 22:10:42]? Golden_Breeze kinda blends in...
  135. [12/11/21 22:11:54]<NitoKa|GM> it'll still take them 6 days if they go straight there
  136. [12/11/21 22:12:01]? Revenant is a giant black and purple mare. She might blend in at night but during the day she's painfully obvious to spot
  137. [12/11/21 22:13:07]? Kinda_Sorta sets the pace at a steady trot in a somewhat beeline towards the map marker, her eyes practically glued to the pipbuck map.
  138. [12/11/21 22:14:13]? Ley_Ray is also black, though not as big. He also kicks the sand a little as he walks, for no real reason.
  139. [12/11/21 22:15:57]<NitoKa|GM> Everypony but Kinda_Sorta can hear gunshots in the distance, coming from the west
  140. [12/11/21 22:16:07]? Golden_Breeze follows next to Kinda_Sorta
  141. [12/11/21 22:16:37]? Golden_Breeze jumps, "What was that?"
  142. [12/11/21 22:16:56]? Revenant 's ears snap up and swivel "Weapon discharge. There are in fact ponies alive up here."
  143. [12/11/21 22:17:21]? Kinda_Sorta is totally oblivious of the gunshots. Her senses more focused on the map and Golden_Breeze's presence. "What was what?" she stops and looks around. "Where?"
  144. [12/11/21 22:17:47]<Revenant> "To the west. relative to whether we're going north. so to our left.
  145. [12/11/21 22:17:50]<Ley_Ray> "Weapons?" He turns his head to the direction of the side. "Why?"
  146. [12/11/21 22:18:09]<Golden_Breeze> "There was a gun shot... uh... that way," he points in the direction of the noise.
  147. [12/11/21 22:18:29]<Revenant> "A gun battle, the aforementioned giant radiation mutants, traiing. Either way I think we should check it out. perhaps we can learn something about the workings of the surface.
  148. [12/11/21 22:19:16]? Soft_Shores kinda sneaks herself to the east side of Revenant then, being much smaller.
  149. [12/11/21 22:19:56]? Kinda_Sorta kicks the sand, a little conflicted. "I don't think gunshots are a good thing to follow...but if you guys think we should check it out..."
  150. [12/11/21 22:20:38]? Golden_Breeze gulps, "I... don't really want to go into a fight..."
  151. [12/11/21 22:21:25]? Revenant scowls "Then I will go alone."
  152. [12/11/21 22:21:45]? Golden_Breeze sighs, he'd follow if the others went.
  153. [12/11/21 22:21:49]<Revenant> "I would rather know what we would face here, then charge blindly to my death."
  154. [12/11/21 22:22:06]<Ley_Ray> "No! I will go with you."
  155. [12/11/21 22:23:51]? Kinda_Sorta looks over at Soft_Shores and Black_Hat. Her ears fold back. "Family means nopony gets left behind...I'll go to. We only have each other out here..."
  156. [12/11/21 22:24:00]<Soft_Shores> "I'll go too...buth uh...I'm more of a long range shooter."
  157. [12/11/21 22:24:00]<Kinda_Sorta> too*
  158. [12/11/21 22:24:45]? Revenant grins "Wonderful!"
  159. [12/11/21 22:24:46]<Golden_Breeze> "I guess i'll go... I don't wanna be alone out here..."
  160. [12/11/21 22:24:56]? Revenant turns towards the gunshots, taking the lead
  161. [12/11/21 22:25:11]? Revenant is the heaviest armed and armored. pipshrug
  162. [12/11/21 22:25:46]? Ley_Ray is blind. YOLO.
  163. [12/11/21 22:26:17]<Kinda_Sorta> "I've read a few books on using magic offensively...I've never really had a chance to try them out before." she takes a place behind Soft_Shores.
  164. [12/11/21 22:26:53]? Golden_Breeze follows,
  165. [12/11/21 22:27:08]<Golden_Breeze> "I have my pistol..."
  166. [12/11/21 22:29:48]<NitoKa|GM> As the group can see, there seems to be about three ponies, covered in light brown sheets to most likely sheild themselves from the sand. They are firing at a piece of a stone pillar, which if the party looks close enough, they can see a set of purple wings, rather large.
  167. [12/11/21 22:31:12]? Revenant frowns, watching the scene, not wanting to act rashly. yet.
  168. [12/11/21 22:31:54]? Odd_Ball was breathing heavily. Why do ponies insist on shooting her? It's got to be the wings. Lots of ponies had horns...,but no wait some ponies had wings too right? She was thinking as she hid behind cover. She was happy to have it rather then be stuck bubbled in a shield.
  169. [12/11/21 22:31:58]? Ley_Ray turns his head from one side to a nother slowly, trying to pinpoint where exactly the gunshots are coming from
  170. [12/11/21 22:33:05]? Golden_Breeze looks at the wings, then his wings, then Revenant's wings... why were those wings so big? that pony must be huge!
  171. [12/11/21 22:33:28]? Revenant is a big mare. she's got big wings. maybe not wings that big but still.
  172. [12/11/21 22:33:45]<NitoKa|GM> "Kill the thing!" One of the shrouded ponies shouted. "We need to make sure it doesn't bring more of those Alicorns!"
  173. [12/11/21 22:33:46]? Kinda_Sorta watches the scene. "Whoa. Whatever they are shooting at is big...I wonder why they are shooting at them?"
  174. [12/11/21 22:34:38]<Golden_Breeze> "Should we help?"
  175. [12/11/21 22:34:50]? Odd_Ball briefly poked her head out before pulling back from a gunshot. "Fine! I didn't want to be your friends anyway!"
  176. [12/11/21 22:35:43]? Revenant tilts her head "I am uncertain who is the victim here. the winged one does not seem to be retaliating. Allow me to move closer to ascertain the situation. Ley_Ray, I would like it if you stayed here for the moment."
  177. [12/11/21 22:35:47]? Golden_Breeze blinks, "horn and wings?" he only knew 2 ponies like that... well... three...
  178. [12/11/21 22:37:54]<Ley_Ray> "Hey, calm down. You can't just go alone to the middle of a gunfight."
  179. [12/11/21 22:38:03]? Kinda_Sorta 's eyes go wide. "Did you guys just see what I just saw? Right now, I think we should help that...uhh...Alicorn? I think thats what they called them."
  180. [12/11/21 22:38:11]? Odd_Ball decided she wasn't in the mood to waste what few bullets she still had after discovering her shield worked on the inside too by using that shield spell and running away out of cover. "Stupid jerks!" She whined as she sprinted out with her light purple shield forming around her.
