  1. Lynncoln Dance Fic
  2.
  3. >the big school dance was coming up
  4. >all the older Loud sisters were pretty excited about it
  5. >Lori would obviously go with Bobby, Leni had plenty of guys to choose from, Luna had a couple of rocker suitors who were fighting for her, even Luan was asked by a few guys from the drama club
  6. >Lynn, on the other hand, was really worried
  7. >her tomboyish attitude didn't seem to be very appreciated
  8. >the fact she would beat all the guys in sports - and rub it in their faces - didn't help her either
  9. >she never really hung out with anyone from outside her family, except when doing sports
  10. >now she didn't have anyone to go with her to her very first school dance
  11. >Lynn even tried to invite some of her teammates, however they either ran away or seemed very scared at the thought
  12. >the girl asked her older sisters for advice, but they weren't helpful at all
  13. >"be yourself", "it's not that hard", "maybe you should crack some jokes instead of cracking guys heads haha"
  14. >the dance was now one day away and nobody had asked her
  15. >Lynn was watching some tv, trying to forget this whole thing
  16. >she hated quitting, but maybe it would be for the best, she thought, her eyes watering
  17. >Lincoln noticed how sad his sister looked and tried to help her, as he always does to all of them
  18. >"hi Lynn. You're looking like you just lost a big game. Except you're not angry at all and you're not hitting me hahaha" he said, sitting next to her at the couch
  19. >Lincoln stopped short at trying to cheer his sister up as she lifted her head and he could see her sad look
  20. >"h-hey Linc...it's nothing man, don't worry about me", trying to hold back her feelings
  21. >just as she finished talking, a tear escaped and rolled down her cheek
  22. >Lincoln was taken by surprise, Lynn was never very prone to show her emotions like this
  23. >she seemed to be surprised too
  24.
  25.
  26. >"what's the matter Lynn? You know you can count on me!"
  27. >"it's nothing! I'm fine! God I don't know why I would even care about this stupid dance!"
  28. >Lynn tried to take back those last few words just as she'd said them, covering her mouth with her hand
  29. >"the dance? What's the problem? Don't tell me you don't know how to dance. I can teach you some of my signature moves, but I don't know if they would work for a girl. I'm sure your date will help you-"
  30. >Lynn squirmed and looked down when Lincoln mentioned a date
  31. >"you...do have a date right? The dance is tomorrow! All the other girls are trying dresses upstairs and..."
  32. >"why do you think I'm not there with them, you dweeb!?" Lynn shouted, but her voice was tremble
  33. >she could no longer hide her tears, so she put her head down to escape her brother's gaze
  34. >Lincoln took a deep breath, hoping to not regret his decision, and said with the most confident voice he could
  35. >"that's settled then. I'm going with you!"
  36. >Lynn looked bewildered at her little brother
  37. >the look suddenly removed Lincoln's confidence
  38. >"that is, if you don't mind going with a dweeb", he said, his voice no longer as deep as it seemed the sentence before
  39. >Lynn continued looking at him without saying anything, which made Lincoln very uncomfortable
  40. >"ok, I know it's a dumb idea. I'm sorry for even..."
  41. >Lynn interrupted Lincoln once again, but this time with a hug
  42. >"thanks bro! You're the best!"
  43. >Lincoln smiled as he felt a tear dripping on his shoulder
  44. >"I'm going to try and find a dress that doesn't look dumb! Thanks again dude!" Lynn said, breaking off the hug
  45. >she threatened to punch Lincoln in the arm, as she usually does, and he flinched, as he usually does
  46. >"ha! two for flinching!" Lynn said, punching Lincoln twice in the arm
  47. >this time, though, she gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before bolting upstairs
  48. >both were confused as why Lynn did it, but neither of them seemed to dislike it
  49.
  50.
  51. >the next day Dad helped Lincoln put on a tuxedo they had rented
  52. >”I'm proud of you for helping out your sister, son” Dad said, as he finished tying Lincoln’s bowtie
  53. >he felt silly dressing up, but was happy his dad was helping him out
  54. >after all, the girls always had a bunch of sisters to help them out with these sort of things
  55. >or get in the way, Lincoln thought as he heard shouting coming from the hallway
  56. >he climbed the stairs to see what could be described as a war zone
  57. >the four older sisters were elbowing each other to use the bathroom, fighting over make up, hair curlers, brushes, eyelash things (what even are those, Lincoln wondered) and a whole plethora of “lady stuff”
  58. >Lori was wearing a brand new blue dress, Leni also bought a new one for the dance (but green, with a big leg cut). Luna torn the bottom of an old Lori dress and had a kilt on. Luan wore a frilly yellow dress that Lincoln had not seen before – maybe she'd grown too much for Lori’s old dresses. But she didn’t seem any taller?
  59. >all the ruckus stopped as Lucy and Lynn's bedroom door opened
  60. >everyone stared while a visibly embarrassed Lynn got out wearing a long, red dress
  61. >her shoulders were curved forward and her eyes looking down
  62. >Leni let out a high pitched scream, Lori held her hands together and smiled, proud of her little sister. Luna didn’t pay her much attention, rushing to the bathroom while she had a chance
  63. >”hey Lynn, nice job matching the dress with your face hahaha” Luan quipped, making Lynn turn even redder
  64. >Lincoln couldn’t say anything, too dumbfounded with the sight of his sister looking so feminine for the first time
  65.
  66.
  67. >”Lincoln, is you jaw lower than Lynn's cleavage? Hahaha” Luan insisted with the jokes
  68. >only then the boy noticed that the dress was a bit loose on the cleavage
  69. >Leni was more developed in that region at Lynn's age than the tomboy
  70. >as a consequence, the cut seemed bigger than it would in someone with larger breasts
  71. >"s-shut up Luan! Just because you got boobs this year doesn't mean you're better than me!" Lynn brashly replied, trying to get the attention off of her
  72. >now it was Luan's turn to get embarrassed
  73. >Lori quickly intervened before the fight could go on
  74. >"hey let's stop this! Leni, go help Lynn do her hair in the twins' room! Luan, go get ready in yours! And GODDAMNIT Luna get out of that bathroom or else!"
  75. >the chaotic brawl resumed, with Luan protesting she also needed to use the bathroom and Luna shouting from inside with a British accent
  76. >Lincoln decided it was better for him to leave the girls be and went downstairs
  77.
  78.
  79. >in the living room, his dad gave him some last instructions before they left
  80. >"first, you got to compliment your date! Even if it's your sister, hehe" Dad chuckled
  81. >"c'mon Dad, don't be silly!"
  82. >"okay, okay. Second, you have to walk into the ballroom with her arm around yours. Don't worry, I'm sure she'll know all about the right procedures. Also, here, give her this flower brooch. Girls love flowers, even if they pretend they don't, like your sister does" this time Dad held his laughter as he handed Lincoln a brooch
  83. >the girls coming down the stairs were a sight to be seen, each one doing her own thing
  84. >Lori struck a pose, only to be outshined by Leni in an even cuter pose. Luna came down jumping and throwing fists in the air. Luan pretended to trip and did a twirl, received with sighs from everybody else. Finally, Lynn walked down the stairs threading lightly, focusing on not falling from her heels
  85. >"you look great Lynn. Doesn't she, Lincoln?" Dad asked, and all the girls looked at the boy with a grin in their faces
  86. >"s-sure, sure you do Lynn!" at that point, Lincoln couldn't take his eyes away from Lynn's hair
  87. >she had it down in a braid and as combed as Leni could get her to accept, which wasn't much more than her usual, messy locks
  88. >"thanks, Linc" she said, drawing his attention to her face
  89. >Lincoln realized the girl looked beautiful, with only a light layer of make-up (Leni tried to get her to put on more but was unsuccessful)
  90. >Lynn even had some lipgloss on - her older sister insisted on lipstick but had to settle for a colorless, strawberry flavored lipgloss
  91. >"hey, now it's Lincoln who's matching her dress!" Luan risked a recycled joke, trying to break the ice with her sister after their earlier fight
  92. >"oh, right, I forgot! Here Lynn, this is for you" Lincoln handed her the brooch, ignoring Luan's attempt
  93. >"thanks Linc" Lynn said, putting it on "even though I don't like flowers"
  94. >Lincoln looked at his father, who gave him a wink before sending the girls out the door so he could drive them to school
  95.
  96.
  97. >the ride was uneventful, as the girls seemed to be nervous about arriving in an old, busted up van to the dance
  98. >the two older siblings were picked up at the Loud house by their dates, but Luna and Luan would meet theirs at the school
  99. >Lincoln was the last to leave vanzilla, and just before he closed the door, Dad called him
  100. >"and boy: no funny business with my daughter!" Dad let out a satisfied laughter, happy with his own joke
  101. >Lincoln went on to meet his date/sister on the sidewalk, and awkwardly extended his arm
  102. >"s-so, are you ready for this?"
  103. >Lynn let out a quick, nervous laugh, trying to sound as normal as she could
  104. >"sure thing bro! thanks again for coming with me" Lynn gave the boy a little punch on the extended, stiff arm
  105. >"two for flinching! hahaha" after the second punch, Lynn grabbed Lincoln's arm and they both walked towards the ballroom/gym
  106. >the girl was still struggling with the heels, being the first time she ever used them
  107. >Lynn was really nervous about how everybody would react when they saw her all girly - and even more so going with her own brother to the dance
  108. > but she wasn't a quitter, and there was no way she would quit on the dance
  109. >she would show them all!
  110. >but her confident, pre-match attitude changed once they came through the door and EVERYBODY (at least in Lynn's point of view) stared at the two Louds
  111.
  112.
  113. >"God damnit they're all staring!"
  114. >Lincoln realized how awkward his sister ought to be feeling, going to the dance with her younger brother
  115. >"of course Lynn. You forgot to put on your brooch! Here let me help you"
  116. >Lincoln got the ornament from Lynn's hand and carefully pinned it in her dress
  117. >Lynn noticed how gentle he was, trying to make her feel better
  118. >her little brother was a true gentleman, she tought
  119. >suddenly Lynn didn't seem to care to what anybody might've been thinking
  120. >"thanks bro. Let's go get some punch!"
  121. >Lincoln instinctively flinched, but was surprised Lynn didn't even tried to punch him in the arm and was heading to the table
  122. >"hey dudes, check this out" their sister Luna was standing by the punch bowl
  123. >she picked up a small flask she was carrying in her boot and emptied a clear liquid in the bowl
  124. >"NOW this is a party! Here guys, just don't drink too much" Luna handed them two cups of the now spiked punch
  125. >it tasted kinda bitter, and it burned a little going down Lynn's throat
  126. >she let out a laughter as she saw her younger brother coughing and turning red from the drink
  127. >Luna laughed too and served Lynn another cup
  128. >"here, this way you can loosen up and enjoy this dance!"
  129. >Lynn thanked her older sister and drank the second cup in a big gulp
  130. >this time it seemed easier
  131. >"now go and dance duuuudes" Luna pushed the pair to the dance floor
  132.
  133.
  134. >they started to dance awkwardly, as Lynn was having troubles with her heels
  135. >"hey Lynn why don't you take those off? I bet it's going to be much easier to dance" Lincoln suggested while starting to show his moves to the upbeat song that was playing
  136. >"aw man I don't know, I already feel I'm getting way too much attention dressed like this, I don't want to be the only girl not wearing shoes too"
  137. >Lincoln stopped dancing and thought for a little bit before responding
  138. >"I know" he said, taking off his own shoes. "There, now we're both barefoot!"
  139. >Lynn opened up a big smile, which turned into a giggle as she kicked her heels away
  140. >one of them hit Luan, who was dancing a few feet away from them
  141. >"ouch! I guess I SHOEd have seen it coming hehe. Get it?"
  142. >her date didn't seem to get it, and Luan sighted in regret for choosing such a dense dance partner. She laughed by herself with the possibility of another great pun
  143. >Lynn and Lincoln were laughing too
  144. >they were both having a great time, dancing, laughing, cracking some small jokes with each other
  145. >it's the closest they ever been since Lincoln had to share his room with his sister
  146. >sometimes he would still miss having her next to him before falling asleep...maybe she missed him too?
  147. >just as Lincoln finished this thought, the lights turned out and a slow dance song came up
  148. >they both looked at each other and quickly turned their eyes to the side, avoiding eye contact
  149.
  150.
  151. >"maybe you can show me some of those moves now Linc? I mean, you ARE my date, so it's kinda your job, right?" Lynn said, almost jokingly, trying to hide her embarrassment with the moment
  152. >Lincoln realized he had to go all the way with this "date" thing and grabbed his sister by the waist, pulling her closer
  153. >"Let's do this" he said, before realizing dancing with a partner was way harder than with a broom
  154. >Lynn's motor skills seemed to be worthless when not doing sports, so they both just bumped into each other, trying to sway sideways
  155. >the two Louds let out a small laughter at their ineptitude
  156. >"maybe it's easier if we just hug each other and wait for the song to end"
  157. >Lincoln nodded in agreement as his sister pulled him on for a tight hug
  158. >the boy tried to complaint about how tight it was, but got carried away by Lynn's smell
  159. >she smelled so good...not sweaty as usual
  160. >as he turned his head to try and figure out what was that smell he gave a little sniff behind Lynn's ear
  161. >the girl got goosebumps from that sniff, and could feel all the hairs in her arm straightening up
  162. >"stop it Linc, that tickles!"
  163. >as she turned her head to face him, she realized how close their faces actually were
  164. >somehow that felt good...felt right, the girl thought
  165.
  166.
  167. >Lincoln was still invested in enjoying the smell, but a different scent caught his attention as they were both inches from each others faces
  168. >Lynn's strawberry flavored lipgloss smelled so good...so tasty
  169. >the boy instincts kicked in again and he gave a small lick on his own lip, his eyes fixed upon Lynn's mouth
  170. >as he got a grip of himself, Lincoln looked up, straight into his sister's hazel eyes
  171. >he didn't remember they were so pretty
  172. >Lynn, on the other hand, couldn't remember the last time she looked someone in the eyes and they didn't have a scared or angry look in them, as she always saw in her matches
  173. >the gratitude she felt for Lincoln was turning into something else she couldn't quite comprehend
  174. >"hey Linc...for real now, thanks for coming with me... I was feeling really down before the dance and..."
  175. >before she could finish her sentence, Lincoln gave her a quick kiss on the lips
  176. >Lynn pulled her head back, in awe, but didn't push her brother away
  177. >they were still hugging, somehow even tighter than before
  178. >Lincoln suddenly realized what he had done
  179. >but taken by the moment, or maybe by Luna's drink, he said the first thing that came to his mind
  180. >"two for flinching", as he kissed his sister once again
  181. >this time, Lynn surrendered herself to the moment and didn't push him away
  182. >instead, she reluctantly put her tongue out and licked Lincoln's lips
  183. >the boy also put his tongue out, trying to taste that strawberry smell he felt earlier
  184. >the two siblings forgot everything else for a few seconds and just enjoyed that moment
  185. >just the two of them, together in the dark
