July 23rd, Sunday.
82 degrees F and it feels nice.
Wind speeds have increased to 10mph and the rain went from a constant drizzle to raining.
Actinidia, Etna, Grace and Pierce had recently underwent dramatic change and became Pokémon. Actinidia, the Grass-Type Snivy. Etna, the Ice and Rock-Type Amaura. Grace, the Fighting-Type Riolu. Pierce, the Steel and Rock-Type Aron. They have acquired a once Wolf-Spider companion by the name of Uraruren, currently a Bug and Poison-Type Spinarak.
After encountering Arceus, the Canadian God of Pokémon, and Radegonda Amalda the doctor Pokémon of draconic fire, they've decided to haul a bunch of stuff to a Pokémon family with a real human boy in the hopes that they may make safe travels to her and be safe - heralding forth a future of a safe haven for similar families.
Upon returning to the Chipotle-Starbucks hideout, it was discovered that the Rice family has suffered some losses. It is 2:10 PM.
* Pierce Mars Oswell is still having a bit of a quiet meltdown that two of the children died before they could get back, and is feeling none too okay.

	Redonda: 	Redonda's eyes grow wide, "Miss Amalda? Y-Yes, we...I know her. I was her housekeeper at the hospital." Redonda clears his throat, "Will she really be able to protect us? From things like...what just happened?"
	Redonda: 	Redonda sighs and shakes his head, "She wasn't a...strong person before this. And those things were terrifyingly strong..."
	Etna: 	"She's a Reshiram now, which means she's one of the strongest kinds of Pokemon there are."
	Grace Leonhardt: 	"Uh, Suffice to say, she's... yeah. She's considred top teir stuff. Or at least by the game's standard."
	Etna: 	"Not invincible or invulnerable or anything like that. All Pokemon have weak points. But she'll be able to scare off or get rid of most riff-raff.
	Etna: 	"
	Actinidia: 	"And she has. It sounds like she's been fighting off looters since this whole thing started."
	Etna: 	"And we're going to do what we can to keep anything like this from happening again, wherever we go. Do you have anything you want me to say to Austin?"
	Redonda: 	"Well, good to know some things haven't changed." Redonda sighs again, "Seems she's just always born lucky..."
	Redonda: 	"But if she can help keep Michelle and Austin safe, I think this is our best bet."

Narrator: 	Actually, the degree of success is based on the Pokémon Die. So you could roll stupidly high and roll a 1 on your Pokémon Die and only barely succeed. If you succeed at all.
DNA: 	Well, even on failures, the dice in general will be pretty low, but I'll keep that in mind.
	Etna: 	"Yuia''a a guug kug."
	Etna: 	"I think I've managed to settle him. Any information you have on those snakes would be appreciated, though. We're going to be doing whatever we can to make a safe zone, and that includes dealing with gangs like that. And they'll be coming after us eventually, anyway, if they're targeting people that turn into snakes."
	Grace Leonhardt: 	Grace will have a confused look about what Etna said for a few moments, before she looks over to Act, and giving a somewhat sympathetic look.
	Actinidia: 	"The group of pokemon we met on our trip over here mentioned aggressive snakes being a problem, they might be notorious in this area. If we find anyone else we could ask what they know."
	Redonda: 	"There was a lot of them. I don't know where they came from only what they were after. But one of them was a giant rock snake thing. You literally couldn't miss something that big. It was probably 40 feet tall or something?"
	Etna: 	"An onix, then. Yeah, that won't be hard to find."
	Actinidia: 	"Ah, good old onix. Very big, not as strong as it looks."
	Actinidia: 	"... in the games at least." Actinidia added. Realizing she made a rather dangerous assumption.
	Redonda: 	"Well, I think the rock snake was the strongest there. It's what was causing most of the problems when the fight broke out. Only other thing that was as big an issue was the snake with sabretooth teeth."
* Pierce Mars Oswell seems to perk up. "Snakes have TEETH now!?"
	Etna: 	"Luckily for us, we have a decent advantage over it for now. And... yeah, Mars. Fangs. Probably a seviper--black and yellow with red fangs?"
	Actinidia: 	"I think I know about that one too, but it was after my time. The rock one is strong against Normal attacks, which are probably very common. You're a normal type pokemon," Actinidia said to Redona, "so you would have trouble fighting him. I would have a much stronger advantage, because I am a grass type."
	Grace Leonhardt: 	"I think they're talking about... Seviper? Did it look like it had a knife on the end of the tail?"
	Redonda: 	"And that's where those books you went to get would be a great help..."
	Redonda: 	"Yes. It was using it as a weapon. It was glowing purple whenever it was about to strike."
	Etna: 	"Act has a full advantage. Mars and I have advantage and disadvantage. Grace has advantage. And Uraruren has disadvantage."
	Etna: 	"Against Onix, that is."
	Etna: 	"Mars would probably be best to handle Seviper, along with Grace."
	Uraruren: 	"Oi! I resemble that remark!"
	Pierce Mars Oswell: 	"Wait, how can we be both advantaged and disadvantaged?"
	Etna: 	"Ura, rocks squash bugs very powerfully. It's like how your purple attack isn't good against some things."
	Etna: 	"It hits us as hard as we hit it."
	Etna: 	"You'd have trouble with stuff like earthquakes, Mars."
	Etna: 	"It's Rock/Ground."
	Pierce Mars Oswell: 	"...I see... Then I should try and focus my efforts on the purple one, then...
	Actinidia: 	Actinidia contemplates dethroning this Onix and becoming queen of the serpents.

	Grace Leonhardt: 	"I'd at least be neutral against it I think. No wait, that's taking a hit from a seviper. Posion resists fighting. Thaknfully I got... what I guess is bone rush? I don't do mutliple attacks, but it's kinda a really cool dash thing. Oh! You're talking about the onyx. Yeah, I'd probably do good against him too."
	Etna: 	"I thought Seviper was pure dark? Not sure, honestly. But we can take a look at the book once we're at the Doctor's place."
	Etna: 	"We'll have to plan our strategy out before we run into them, if we want to handle it to our best."
	Pierce Mars Oswell: 	"Ideally, we should have a strategy now, because there's no telling when we'll see them."
	Grace Leonhardt: 	"No, I remember that Seviper was pure poison... or at least the last I played ruby. Did they change it in newer gens? I never found it outside of ruby. never the less, I'd sill be able to bash it in the face with a bone staff."
	Etna: 	"I can sort of... twist my energy to make it so a target can't really focus on attacking girls. I did that during the bee attack. I'm going to use that on Seviper to avoid poison attacks going to anyone but you."
	Etna: 	"I'll support whoever looks like they need it. Ura and Mars on Seviper, Grace and Act on Onix?"
	Actinidia: 	"If I can get close to the rock snake, I should be able to drink his lifeforce. But I'll need protection, I'm weak to poison type attacks so his allies have an advantage over me."
	Pierce Mars Oswell: 	"Poison... That explains a few things. I remember one time that happened to me, it just slid right off."
	Actinidia: 	"I request that Grace focuses on supporting my attacking the Onix. Priority on anything poisonous while I focus on my double advantage."
	Grace Leonhardt: 	"I suppose I'll try to front line at the very least. Pierce, you'd be pretty good up front too. Steel should be good against everything snake."
	Etna: 	"Basically."
	Pierce Mars Oswell: 	"All right."
	Etna: 	"Uraruren, anything you want to add?"
	Uraruren: 	"Whatever I come across I'll drink it's life."
	Grace Leonhardt: 	"You need to be careful when the snakes happen Ura. They can hit you pretty hard."
	Uraruren: 	"If I'm not effective against it, I'll just try biting harder than before." Uraruren shrugs, "If something it pretty harder, just being able to hit harder seems to work out for me."
	Etna: 	"Alright. I think that covers the basics for all of us, then. I'll try and get Seviper to focus on Mars and I'll back up whoever needs it."
	Uraruren: 	"The better I am at drinking the more hits I'm able to take. Just point me at the one I'm best at drinking."
	Actinidia: 	Actinidia paced with a hand tapping at her chin, "Well well... It might be good to investigate this area for whatever groups are starting to form. And which ones we can be friends with."
	Etna: 	"It won't just be Onix and Seviper, even if they're the biggest threats, so we'll have plenty to point you at."
	Etna: 	"Any other questions before we head out? Anyone?"
	Actinidia: 	"Everyone, if you have a defense move, use it now and try to hold it for three hours."
	Redonda: 	"Yes, where is Miss Amalda located so we can try getting there before it starts to get dark."

	Grace Leonhardt: 	"I'm a bit learned about pokemon in general because I've kinda been introverted. Though I don't really like... Fully know stuff, I skipped white and black. Didn't finish Sun or Moon yet either."

	Etna: 	"Ghost too. 18. And while rock beats scissors, scissors doesn't always get beaten completely."
	Etna: 	"I don't know if it's doubles anymore, but type science still holds up for extra power when applied well."
	Grace Leonhardt: 	"Yeah. Like, with poision, I take x1 damage from it, but I only do half when I attack with fighting."

There's a loud crashing sound as a rhino looking creature leaps from the ground and stomps the ground.

	Lileep: 	"I find that no likely coincidence. The more weaker the species is considered it seems, the more knowledgeable the person was of Pokémon. In my experience. Perhaps this is Darwin's Law of intelligence and survivability versus power?"
	Pierce Mars Oswell: 	"Wait... How many 'legendaries' have you encountered?"
	Etna: 	"I don't know if Darwin made a law like that or not. Wasn't really a scientist or a historian. But it does seem like kind of a balance? I don't know how people saw Amaura and Aurorus, but I know a lot about Pokemon and nobody's been able to drop me so far, so let's leave it at Hypothesis?"
	Actinidia: 	Actinidia glances away, feeling flustered.
	Etna: 	"It also doesn't cover for non-humans that became Pokemon."
	Actinidia: 	"A-and Arceus knew a lot about pokemon." Actinidia added. Clearly not distracted by anything.
	Lileep: 	"True, but of the non-humans I've encountered, they've become all the same Pokémon if they're in close proximity and species."

	Etna: 	"Evildoers. That's a good way to put it. Once we've brought this family to safety, we're going to be hunting down some evildoers."

	Litten: 	"Most of them were in the Baltimore Harbor East area."
	Etna: 	"It's been less than a full day. How far have you travelled?"
	Snivy: 	"We've traveled from the Towson county area through the downtown harbor area to here."
	Snivy: 	"There's been huge migrations, if you want to call it that, about six hours after the transformation last night."
	Snivy: 	"Word of advice? Avoid the waters. Even if you're water type. You will die."
	Etna: 	"People moving where they'll be most comfortable, probably?"

	Actinidia: 	"That makes sense. So many fish must have turned into non-fish. We've been traveling back and forth on this road.

Maybe you'd like to help with dealing with the giant Onix that's leading a snake gang to terrorize people and forcibly conscript other snake-mons? We both have someone that they'll target eventually."

	Actinidia: 	"We don't have a goal as a group, other than helping each other survive. I want to figure out what groups are starting to form in the area. Build a network out of the friendliest of them, and hopefully carve out a place of my own."
	Lileep: 	"Hm. If you're the kind that 'does' things, perhaps we could involve one another in a mutually beneficial relationship?"
	Etna: 	"Sounds like a good idea. Talk and walk?"
	Lileep: 	"Not quite. We're heading to the waters."

	Lileep: 	"But as far as I can gather, the red ones are the least valuable with the green ones being the most valuable."
	Actinidia: 	"I'm sure we can figure it out eventually. Supply and demand. Whichever is more common must be worth less. And whatever items are more scarce must be worth more. It's too soon to know either at this point."
	Lileep: 	"So, we can pay you in the new currency, or with supplies. Whichever you prefer."
	Lileep: 	"But we can do whichever on a case by case basis. No need to solidify either one at the moment."
	Etna: 	"Money doesn't really hold value without a society to uphold that value. So. Information, groups and doing. We're planning to try and put together a safe zone. The only way we've thought to do that is a mix of talk, combat, mercy, reputation... the sort of thing you get by on conquering land with a small group. Information that helps with setting up that safe zone would be a priority for us, and for you if you're working with Arceus, I'd think." Etna shrugs, as best she can manage. "Either way, information and jobs for pay is a good start-up."
	Actinidia: 	"I am Actinidia. By the way."
	Lileep: 	"Excellent. With that being said, I could spread your names with those I encounter. Never underestimate word of mouth."
	Lileep: 	"However, realize that in doing so is a double-edged sword. Your name would flow through both the right people and the wrong people."
	Etna: 	"Etna, Actinidia, Mars, Grace and Uraruren. We don't have a group name yet. Maybe wait on the name-spreading until we get a bit stronger?"

	Etna: 	"Probably for the best. Arceus already tried to recruit her. We had to mediate before it ran the risk of becoming a fight."
	Joseph the Lileep: 	"Indeed! I've met a few, like yourself. Though none that can read. Show me one that can and it'll be a treat."
	Actinidia: 	"She's sensitive. But at least she's on team Human Society."
* Etna shrugs. "The characters are consistent. It looks like it'll take practice and study, nothing more. I might try and learn to read, actually."

You arrive at Radegonda's abode just as the sky begins to darken. You arrive with Radegonda pushing the damaged vehicles around the three houses nearest hers to create a makeshift barrier.
	Reshiram: 	Upon hearing your team arrive, Reshiram spins around to face you and puffs up her chest while raising her wings to appear more threatening.
	Reshiram: 	"Get...!" Reshiram then recognizes your group members from among the others along with Austin, "Oh. It's you guys."
	Actinidia: 	"Good Evening."
	Etna: 	"Hi, Doctor. We're here with some new business associates of ours... or something like that. And the surviving Rice family."
	Reshiram: 	"Surviving...?"
	Redonda: 	"Miss Amalda...is that you?"
	Etna: 	"We didn't get back fast enough. They were attacked by a gang of serpent pokemon. They can tell you the rest in their own time."

	Etna: 	"That was me speaking with Austin in human-speak."

	Gin the Litten: 	"So, we're to understand you're going to be the god-tier protector of this place?"

	Etna: 	"Right. So... something we wanted to bring up, since you're one of the people that're focused on keeping things civil and all. After what happened to the Rice family... my group's planning to try and make a safe zone of the area. That does entail some fighting, talking, and other factors. We're obviously not going to pick a fight with you, we just want to know if you're going to have any problems with us operating in the area. There's some gangs and stuff that are forming, and we want to focus on stomping them out first."
	Grace Leonhardt: 	"Or at least not have them become bandit like."
	Reshiram: 	"I don't like gangs. Gangs threaten and try to establish areas of power. For themselves."
	Reshiram: 	"I have agreed to keep those I like here safe. And that are my old friends, if they're going to behave, and those with human children in need of a safe place to be."
	Reshiram: 	"This isn't an open door invitation to just anyone and everyone and things that threaten it are an obvious problem."

	Actinidia: 	"That makes me think... how fast do pokemon breed? I know how it works in the games." Actinidia folded her arms, "If he's trying to breed an army, and it does work like the games, he's got a good stategy. And second generation pokemon are going to be much smarter than their parents when it comes to battle."

* Etna shrugs. "Nobody's said what happens to eggs that haven't hatched yet at the time of the change."
	Snoe the Snivy: 	"I'm not either. But I am curious. And you need to stop looking nice. It's distracting."

	Uraruren: 	"But if we're talking about eggs, I'm not sure if breeding is the way to do it. Even if you create a clutch like that, no one is a slave inherently. There'll be rebellions within the group if they're doing it the way they are."
	Snoe the Snivy: 	"I'm bad at flirting. And probably even breeding. And probably everything else involved in it."
	Etna: 	"Stop that too. Don't beat yourself up over something that hasn't happened yet."
