  2. Narrator has connected.
  3. Actinidia has connected.
  4. Avara has connected.
  5. Narrator: Ava, remind me to watch DBS with you before some Shmyteh grinding.
  6. Avara: ah right. we missed last saturday's episode too
  7. Narrator: Mmhm. Got some catching up to do.
  8. Narrator: I'm just waiting for music to load. But we can begin.
  9. Narrator: All around?
  10. Narrator: Gooooonna assume no.
  11. DNA: I'm here, now, I have toast.
  12. Avara: ready
  13. Narrator: o7
  14. Narrator: Just need a Rob
  15. Actinidia: Hello
  16. July 23rd, Sunday.
  17. 82 degrees F and it feels nice.
  18. Wind speeds have increased to 10mph and the rain went from a constant drizzle to raining.
  19. Actinidia, Etna, Grace and Pierce had recently underwent dramatic change and became Pokémon. Actinidia, the Grass-Type Snivy. Etna, the Ice and Rock-Type Amaura. Grace, the Fighting-Type Riolu. Pierce, the Steel and Rock-Type Aron. They have acquired a once Wolf-Spider companion by the name of Uraruren, currently a Bug and Poison-Type Spinarak.
  20. After encountering Arceus, the Canadian God of Pokémon, and Radegonda Amalda the doctor Pokémon of draconic fire, they've decided to haul a bunch of stuff to a Pokémon family with a real human boy in the hopes that they may make safe travels to her and be safe - heralding forth a future of a safe haven for similar families.
  21. Upon returning to the Chipotle-Starbucks hideout, it was discovered that the Rice family has suffered some losses. It is 2:10 PM.
  22. * Pierce Mars Oswell is still having a bit of a quiet meltdown that two of the children died before they could get back, and is feeling none too okay.
  23. Avara: one child and one parent, i think
  24. DNA: Right, sorry, that. Got my numbers backwards.
  25. DNA: thought it was Belle and Austin for some reason; it's Belle and Reginald.
  26. Narrator: And my food just arrived. So, I'mma take a moment to eat the messier bits (chicken wings and cinnastix) before continuing this so I don't mess up my keys. Also gives Grace some time to arrive.
  27. Narrator: Please, take this moment to grab drinks, food, bathroom breaks - etc. Take care of your bodies, ya'll!
  28. DNA: A wise decision.
  29. Grace Leonhardt has connected.
  30. Avara: bingo!
  31. * Grace Leonhardt waves
  32. Narrator: Hello guys. Majority of food consumed. I am well enough to continue.
  33. Avara: i have eaten as well. ready!
  34. Narrator: Will wait for roleplay.
  35. * Etna will, if the Rice family wants, act as translator for them and Austin again. Otherwise... she's not really sure what to do.
  36. Narrator: Is this being said to both?
  37. Avara: yes
  38. Actinidia: "I've never lost a family member before, not like this at least..."
  39. * Grace Leonhardt rubs her shoulder, "I've lost one but not like this, or this young... Poor thing."
  40. Grace Leonhardt: Fuq sorry ^
  41. Narrator: Tis 'kay
  42. Combee: "W-What do we do now, mama?"
  43. Redonda: "...I'm not exactly sure. But we can't stay here anymore."
  44. Child: "Yuia than's ftas shan gas aghax ghush shut, 'ughs? Wa''a guung su naka shan tiarra', 'ughs?"
  45. Redonda: Redonda frowns as she hears Austin, "...I don't even need to know what he's saying to know what he's saying."
  46. Etna: "'You can't let them get away with this, right? We're going to make them suffer, right?' And... We did meet someone you all might know. A Doctor Radegonda? She's offered to help protect and shelter you. She's really strong."
  47. Redonda: Redonda's eyes grow wide, "Miss Amalda? Y-Yes, we...I know her. I was her housekeeper at the hospital." Redonda clears his throat, "Will she really be able to protect us? From things like...what just happened?"
  48. Redonda: Redonda sighs and shakes his head, "She wasn't a...strong person before this. And those things were terrifyingly strong..."
  49. Etna: "She's a Reshiram now, which means she's one of the strongest kinds of Pokemon there are."
  50. Grace Leonhardt: "Uh, Suffice to say, she's... yeah. She's considred top teir stuff. Or at least by the game's standard."
  51. Etna: "Not invincible or invulnerable or anything like that. All Pokemon have weak points. But she'll be able to scare off or get rid of most riff-raff.
  52. Etna: "
  53. Actinidia: "And she has. It sounds like she's been fighting off looters since this whole thing started."
  54. Etna: "And we're going to do what we can to keep anything like this from happening again, wherever we go. Do you have anything you want me to say to Austin?"
  55. Redonda: "Well, good to know some things haven't changed." Redonda sighs again, "Seems she's just always born lucky..."
  56. Redonda: "But if she can help keep Michelle and Austin safe, I think this is our best bet."
  57. Redonda: Redonda looks over to Austin and then back to Etna, "I...don't know. What should I say? What can I say? He wants vengeance on those snakes right now. He's not thinking straight. I'm not thinking straight!"
  58. Etna: "Then I'll just tell him about the Doctor, if that's alright?"
  59. Redonda: Redonda nods.
  60. Etna: "Wa''a guung su ft'ung xuia su Duthsu' Ragagunga su haftl kaal xuia ang xuia' ranuftx tara. Arsa' shas, nx g'uial't guung su gu ghhas gha than su tsul anxshung ftuka shut r'un hallanung agaun."
  61. Austin: "Thas naant xuia'ftft kuftft shuta shungt, 'ughs? Su shax than's gu shut su usha' laulfta? "
  62. Etna: "Ir anx xas ftu'a, shax ghun's fta gassung aghax ghush shut."
  63. Austin: Austin pauses for a moment and stares at Etna before nodding and looking at the floor, "Nuna ftassa' nus. Nus arsa' ghhas shax gug..."
  64. Etna: "Las iat hangfta sha 'angaantha. Wa'ftft tas shungt 'ughs ang gu a'a'xshung gha than su naka shungt ftatt tsialug ang th'acthx a'uiang ha'a. Yuia ang xuia' ranuftx naag su ruthiat un tia''u'ung ang haaftung. Tha guthsu' ghuftft haftl."
  65. Austin: Austin nods again, "Aft'ughs. Bias untha xuia gu hangfta shan, thuna taa na? I'ftft - I'ftft ghans su knugh ghhan shiatsutha ut gaafts."
  66. Actinidia: Actinidia attempts to intuit the mood of the conversation. Perception check
  67. Actinidia: 1+3+1+1=6
  68. Etna: "I'ftft gu nx ftats su naka anusha' 'utus su xuia ang xuia' ranuftx. Bias ru' nugh, a'a xuia guung su fta ukax nu'ung su sha Duthsu''t huiata?"
  69. Actinidia: ((stunt!))
  70. Actinidia: Actinidia tries to read the mood of the conversation and can tell that things are tense. Iiiiinterestingly so. Perhaps the boy has hit puberty at absolutely the worst time and has fallen for Etna?! Le gasp!
  71. DNA: kek
  72. Avara: snrk
  73. Actinidia: Actinidia finds this odd. But she has seen stranger fetishes on the internet.
  74. DNA: I guess we're taking our failures with hilarity from now on
  75. Actinidia: Actinidia will mind her body language around the boy.
  76. Avara: might as well.
  77. Avara: act's check was just a little shy of min roll.
  78. Austin: Austin crosses his arms and looks to Redonda and Michelle, "Yaah. Wa'ftft fta runa. I'ftft fta runa. I ha'a su fta su ftaa'n su saka tha'a ur shan nugh. Thax naag na."
  79. Narrator: Actually, the degree of success is based on the Pokémon Die. So you could roll stupidly high and roll a 1 on your Pokémon Die and only barely succeed. If you succeed at all.
  80. DNA: Well, even on failures, the dice in general will be pretty low, but I'll keep that in mind.
  81. Etna: "Yuia''a a guug kug."
  82. Etna: "I think I've managed to settle him. Any information you have on those snakes would be appreciated, though. We're going to be doing whatever we can to make a safe zone, and that includes dealing with gangs like that. And they'll be coming after us eventually, anyway, if they're targeting people that turn into snakes."
  83. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will have a confused look about what Etna said for a few moments, before she looks over to Act, and giving a somewhat sympathetic look.
  84. Actinidia: "The group of pokemon we met on our trip over here mentioned aggressive snakes being a problem, they might be notorious in this area. If we find anyone else we could ask what they know."
  85. Redonda: "There was a lot of them. I don't know where they came from only what they were after. But one of them was a giant rock snake thing. You literally couldn't miss something that big. It was probably 40 feet tall or something?"
  86. Etna: "An onix, then. Yeah, that won't be hard to find."
  87. Actinidia: "Ah, good old onix. Very big, not as strong as it looks."
  88. Actinidia: "... in the games at least." Actinidia added. Realizing she made a rather dangerous assumption.
  89. Redonda: "Well, I think the rock snake was the strongest there. It's what was causing most of the problems when the fight broke out. Only other thing that was as big an issue was the snake with sabretooth teeth."
  90. * Pierce Mars Oswell seems to perk up. "Snakes have TEETH now!?"
  91. Etna: "Luckily for us, we have a decent advantage over it for now. And... yeah, Mars. Fangs. Probably a seviper--black and yellow with red fangs?"
  92. Actinidia: "I think I know about that one too, but it was after my time. The rock one is strong against Normal attacks, which are probably very common. You're a normal type pokemon," Actinidia said to Redona, "so you would have trouble fighting him. I would have a much stronger advantage, because I am a grass type."
  93. Grace Leonhardt: "I think they're talking about... Seviper? Did it look like it had a knife on the end of the tail?"
  94. Redonda: "And that's where those books you went to get would be a great help..."
  95. Redonda: "Yes. It was using it as a weapon. It was glowing purple whenever it was about to strike."
  96. Etna: "Act has a full advantage. Mars and I have advantage and disadvantage. Grace has advantage. And Uraruren has disadvantage."
  97. Etna: "Against Onix, that is."
  98. Etna: "Mars would probably be best to handle Seviper, along with Grace."
  99. Uraruren: "Oi! I resemble that remark!"
  100. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Wait, how can we be both advantaged and disadvantaged?"
  101. Etna: "Ura, rocks squash bugs very powerfully. It's like how your purple attack isn't good against some things."
  102. Etna: "It hits us as hard as we hit it."
  103. Etna: "You'd have trouble with stuff like earthquakes, Mars."
  104. Etna: "It's Rock/Ground."
  105. Pierce Mars Oswell: "...I see... Then I should try and focus my efforts on the purple one, then...
  106. Actinidia: Actinidia contemplates dethroning this Onix and becoming queen of the serpents.
  107. DNA: oh god it's lilea
  108. Avara: queen of the serpents, subservient to empress of reptiles?
  109. Grace Leonhardt: "I'd at least be neutral against it I think. No wait, that's taking a hit from a seviper. Posion resists fighting. Thaknfully I got... what I guess is bone rush? I don't do mutliple attacks, but it's kinda a really cool dash thing. Oh! You're talking about the onyx. Yeah, I'd probably do good against him too."
  110. Etna: "I thought Seviper was pure dark? Not sure, honestly. But we can take a look at the book once we're at the Doctor's place."
  111. Etna: "We'll have to plan our strategy out before we run into them, if we want to handle it to our best."
  112. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Ideally, we should have a strategy now, because there's no telling when we'll see them."
  113. Grace Leonhardt: "No, I remember that Seviper was pure poison... or at least the last I played ruby. Did they change it in newer gens? I never found it outside of ruby. never the less, I'd sill be able to bash it in the face with a bone staff."
  114. Etna: "I can sort of... twist my energy to make it so a target can't really focus on attacking girls. I did that during the bee attack. I'm going to use that on Seviper to avoid poison attacks going to anyone but you."
  115. Etna: "I'll support whoever looks like they need it. Ura and Mars on Seviper, Grace and Act on Onix?"
  116. Actinidia: "If I can get close to the rock snake, I should be able to drink his lifeforce. But I'll need protection, I'm weak to poison type attacks so his allies have an advantage over me."
  117. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Poison... That explains a few things. I remember one time that happened to me, it just slid right off."
  118. Actinidia: "I request that Grace focuses on supporting my attacking the Onix. Priority on anything poisonous while I focus on my double advantage."
  119. Grace Leonhardt: "I suppose I'll try to front line at the very least. Pierce, you'd be pretty good up front too. Steel should be good against everything snake."
  120. Etna: "Basically."
  121. Pierce Mars Oswell: "All right."
  122. Etna: "Uraruren, anything you want to add?"
  123. Uraruren: "Whatever I come across I'll drink it's life."
  124. Grace Leonhardt: "You need to be careful when the snakes happen Ura. They can hit you pretty hard."
  125. Uraruren: "If I'm not effective against it, I'll just try biting harder than before." Uraruren shrugs, "If something it pretty harder, just being able to hit harder seems to work out for me."
  126. Etna: "Alright. I think that covers the basics for all of us, then. I'll try and get Seviper to focus on Mars and I'll back up whoever needs it."
  127. Uraruren: "The better I am at drinking the more hits I'm able to take. Just point me at the one I'm best at drinking."
  128. Actinidia: Actinidia paced with a hand tapping at her chin, "Well well... It might be good to investigate this area for whatever groups are starting to form. And which ones we can be friends with."
  129. Etna: "It won't just be Onix and Seviper, even if they're the biggest threats, so we'll have plenty to point you at."
  130. Etna: "Any other questions before we head out? Anyone?"
  131. Actinidia: "Everyone, if you have a defense move, use it now and try to hold it for three hours."
  132. Redonda: "Yes, where is Miss Amalda located so we can try getting there before it starts to get dark."
  133. Etna: "A couple of hours away. We'll be escorting you there, I'm just trying to make sure we're ready before we go. So no accidents or incidents happen."
  134. Grace Leonhardt: "I've no defensive move yet, so I'm prepared."
  135. Actinidia: Actinidia attempts to use Barrier! Spending 6 PP!
  136. Etna: "She's set up where she lived as a human."
  137. Actinidia: Actinidia loses 6 power.
  138. Actinidia: 2+5+1+2=10
  139. Actinidia: Baaaarely freakin made it
  140. DNA: OOC: What time is it?
  141. DNA: 2:05 PM?
  142. DNA: or was it 1:05?
  143. Avara: it was 2:10 at session start
  144. Actinidia: "Same neighborhood you lived in." Actinidia said, before describing the number of blocks in which direction to give a rough idea of distance.
  145. Pierce Mars Oswell: "I still have the effects of that last one holding over me, so I think I'll be okay."
  146. Redonda: "Okay...thank you guys."
  147. Redonda: "And uhm, I don't think we know anything defensive."
  148. Michelle: "Mama can heal!"
  149. Etna: "Alright. Any other questions, people?"
  150. Redonda: "Uh, not from us I don't think."
  151. Actinidia: Actinidia shook her head.
  152. Pierce Mars Oswell: "...when we finally establish a safe place, how long will I have to read those books? I feel like I'm the only one in the dark about my current form, and I need to change that."
  153. Actinidia: "I know more about my type than my... species. You're not alone. I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures."
  154. * Etna nods.
  155. Etna: "Once we get there, we'll see about that. And it's best to make sure you have a good idea about it before we head off to battle."
  156. Redonda: "Austin's the only one here who can read it and you're the only one who can talk to him, Etna."
  157. Grace Leonhardt: "I'm a bit learned about pokemon in general because I've kinda been introverted. Though I don't really like... Fully know stuff, I skipped white and black. Didn't finish Sun or Moon yet either."
  158. Redonda: "So we should have him read it to you and let you translate."
  159. Etna: "That's what I had in mind, too."
  160. Redonda: (( Gonna roll encounter now. ))
  161. Narrator: 9
  162. Avara: Ready!
  163. Pierce Mars Oswell: "I don't even know that about the type, other than what you all have told me..."
  164. Grace Leonhardt: "Oh man, that's a whole spiderweb that we need to break down for you."
  165. Etna: "It'll be easier with the book, yeah."
  166. Pierce Mars Oswell: "More spiders? As if Ura's group wasn't enough..."
  167. Grace Leonhardt: "And need in the litteral sense considering it's rock paper siccors to a rediculous degree."
  168. Pierce Mars Oswell: "How ridiculous?"
  169. Etna: "It's not as bad as it could be, but the fandom's nicknamed it Pokemon Type Science."
  170. Narrator: Alright. You guys keep going! I'm generating the encounter.
  171. Actinidia: Actinidia keeps an ear out as they travel.
  172. Actinidia: 3+5+2+3=13
  173. Grace Leonhardt: "Yeah... off the top of my head theres... Fire, grass, water, flying, dark, fighting, ground, electric, ice, fairy, dragon, posion, bug, normal, psychic, and others too."
  174. Actinidia: Perception (hearing)
  175. Pierce Mars Oswell: "That's 15...and you said there's more. There's at least 2 more since I was told I was Rock and Steel, which you didn't say...so that's, what, rock-paper-scissors with 17 players?"
  176. DNA: (the last one is ghost)
  177. Grace Leonhardt: "Yeah. But there's also pokemon that have two types. So it compounds further from the x2, to x4, and half damage, to quarter... or at least in the games."
  178. Etna: "Ghost too. 18. And while rock beats scissors, scissors doesn't always get beaten completely."
  179. Etna: "I don't know if it's doubles anymore, but type science still holds up for extra power when applied well."
  180. Grace Leonhardt: "Yeah. Like, with poision, I take x1 damage from it, but I only do half when I attack with fighting."
  181. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Maybe if I had a chart in front of me as you say this, it might help me."
  182. Etna: "There'll be a chart in the book."
  183. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Oh, phew. What a relief."
  184. Grace Leonhardt: "Yeah, and if not, I could try drawing one out for you."
  185. Etna: "... I miss having proper hands."
  186. Etna: "Or hands at all, really. I keep having to use my teeth."
  187. Grace Leonhardt: "Oh man, I didn't even think about that. Uh... are your teeth that strong to do stuff? I haven't even thought about it."
  188. Etna: "Strong enough that I've been able to manage my backpack and the stuff in it. But it's not exactly dextrous maneuvering, y'know?"
  189. Grace Leonhardt: "That's a fair point."
  190. Narrator: Alright. Genned up.
  191. Actinidia: "I can hear something slushing and grinding under us."
  192. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Uh-oh...you said under us?"
  193. Actinidia: Actinidia pressed her ear against the ground and listened closely, trying to hear if anything was speaking pokemon speak.
  194. Actinidia: Another Perception (hearing) if needed.
  195. Etna: "Everyone group up. Make sure the Rice Family's as far from whatever pops up as possible."
  196. Actinidia: 3+6+1+3=13
  197. Grace Leonhardt: "Under...? Wait, onyx are ground type too right? They learned dig in the games!"
  198. Etna: "Right. And if they popped out of nowhere, they might be using underground tunnels to move. So move!"
  199. Actinidia: "Or it might be grimer living in the water drainage system."
  200. Etna: "... And if that's the case, Act, you need to be near Mars."
  201. Narrator: I realize I don't have a manhole cover sprite so uh, there's that.
  202. Avara: they come out of the holes in the sidewalk?
  203. Grace Leonhardt: "Eiither way, better be on gaurd I guess...?
  204. Pierce Mars Oswell: Perception Smelling to try and sense where they're at.
  205. Pierce Mars Oswell: 5+1+3+3=12
  206. Narrator: Position yourselves on the map before I begin things.
  207. DNA: In what area?
  208. Narrator: The usual.
  209. Narrator: Everyone good with your locations?
  210. Avara: grace?
  211. Avara: alright. sound off if you're ready
  212. Avara: Ready!
  213. Grace Leonhardt: Ye
  214. DNA: Sure, that's fine
  215. Actinidia: I am good
  216. Avara: all clear!
  217. Actinidia: "Let Austin know what is happening."
  218. Narrator whispers: Sup?
  219. Etna: "Sunauna nughs thuna ial tuun. Wa gun's knugh ur shax''a r'uangftx u' nus. Kaal tara."
  220. Narrator whispers: Alright good this is working. You can smell a pungent scent of filth coming from the most large southeastern hole.
  221. Actinidia: "I hear panting. No words."
  222. Austin: "O-Okax! Jiats saftft na ghhas su gu, nutt Esna!"
  223. Actinidia: "If we stay still and quiet they might pass by. I don't know what they want."
  224. Urrrraaaaagh!!!
  225. Pierce Mars Oswell: "They're by the southeast." Mars whispers.
  226. There's a loud crashing sound as a rhino looking creature leaps from the ground and stomps the ground.
  227. Rhyhorn: "Who?! Who wants some?! YEEEEEEEEEEEAH!!"
  228. Grace Leonhardt: "GAH JESUS"
  229. Lileep: Lileep walks out of the hole slowly and dusts itself off, "Dude, do you need to be fucking loud?"
  230. Rhyhorn: "...Yes. Yes I do. I DO. YES."
  231. Lileep: "..."
  232. Etna: "Excuse me. However many of you are still popping out. May I speak before you go on?"
  233. Koffing: Koffing floats out of the hole and cackles, "Heh...heh...heh..."
  234. Rhyhorn: Rhyhorn spots the lot of you to the north and instantly goes into...a...uhm...ramming stance?
  235. Rhyhorn: "SHIT. THERE'S THINGS BIGGER THAN ME"!
  236. Lileep: Lileep facepalms with its....tentacle thing.
  237. * Etna sighs. "Not listening again, are they?"
  238. * Etna repeats herself, louder. "WE JUST WANT TO TALK. DO NOT ATTACK."
  239. Actinidia: "Speaking of big things. Have you seen a 40 foot long stone snake creature?"
  240. Litten: Litten hops out of the hole as well, "WHY ARE WE SCREAMING?!"
  241. Rhyhorn: "YES. I SAW THE THING. IT WAS HARD AND HURT MY NOSE WHEN I SAID HI WITH MY FACE."
  242. Avara: this police car is a menace. it's blocking my POV EVERY time enemies happen.
  243. Actinidia: "We heard it is the critter to look out for around here. So how about we don't fight each other so we all have a better chance to survive an encounter with him?"
  244. Snivy: Snivy slithers out of the hole and stretches, "Mmm, is the idiot around again?"
  245. Pierce Mars Oswell: "I DON'T THINK SAYING HI WITH YOUR FACE IS THE BEST IDEA FOR STARTING A CONVERSATION," Mars calls out. "TRUST ME ON THIS ON-oh we can stop yelling. Um. Sorry."
  246. Narrator: The group trots over just east of the car.
  247. Rhyhorn: Rhyhorn relaxes a bit, "Oh! You guys aren't as big as I thought you were."
  248. Koffing: "Heh...heh...hehehehehehe..."
  249. Uraruren: "I'm smaller than you."
  250. Etna: "So. I don't know why you're all popping out of the ground and crowding. If you're just here to talk? Excellent. We can talk and walk. But if you're here for a fight... the last two would-be gangs that were in, oddly enough, this exact spot attacked us. We beat them all without major issue. And now we're escorting a scared family to sanctuary. So please, do not attack."
  251. Actinidia: ((I still can't see anyone. Check invisibility?))
  252. Uraruren: (( I need to change that setting on my maptools ))
  253. Uraruren: (( When I drop tokens they're automatically invisible. ))
  254. Avara: roll, or no?
  255. Lileep: "Look, we're not here to attack anyone. We're here on business."
  256. Actinidia: "Oh? It's another one of my species."
  257. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Business, eh? Looking for something?"
  258. Rhyhorn: "Yes, you're smaller than me. It means you're weaker and should scurry off. Because you're pathetic. And the tiniest of tiny things. PUNY THING."
  259. Uraruren: "...The fuck you say to me?"
  260. Etna: "What business is that, then? Sorry if I came off aggressive, but we've not exactly had the friendliest time..." she trails off, and looks at Rhyhorn.
  261. Etna: "You. Stop that."
  262. Litten: "Please stop-yes, what the giant ice thing said."
  263. Rhyhorn: "...Just saying facts...I'll shut up now."
  264. Uraruren: "!!"
  265. Etna: "Good boy."
  266. Etna: "Ura, calm. He's just insecure about his masculinity."
  267. Lileep: "Alright, brute. Behind me. Now." Lileep whistles.
  268. Rhyhorn: Rhyhorn moves with its tail between its legs in shame.
  269. Actinidia: Actinidia wonders if the Rhyhorn was a dog owned by the rest of the party.
  270. Lileep: "I apologize for him. He's not the best at communication. However, he's a good guy at heart."
  271. Snivy: Snivy realizes there's a female of his species nearby. Iiiinteresting.
  272. Etna: "Understandable. It's been rough the past few days, and we're aware not all people that can talk now had the same perspective and practice."
  273. Lileep: "You see, we were hired to gather information on a few things. By God, if you can believe it."
  274. Grace Leonhardt: "Arceus? We've kinda... seen them too."
  275. Etna: "Canadian Arceus with aims of putting together The Justice League?"
  276. Lileep: "Oh, you know his species? That's fantastic! So, you're Pokémon fans from a previous life?"
  277. Etna: "Right."
  278. Uraruren: "The hell is a Pokémon?"
  279. Etna: "Some of us, anyway."
  280. Koffing: "Hehehehehehehehe!!"
  281. Etna: "Ura, we went over this. All the creatures we've become are Pokemon."
  282. Actinidia: "I played the first two generations."
  283. Grace Leonhardt: "I am at the very least."
  284. Uraruren: "Oh! Right...."
  285. Grace Leonhardt: "Uh, general collective of what we call those that aren't human Ura."
  286. * Etna looks back to Lileep. "So. Gathering information for Arceus?"
  287. Lileep: "Indeed. We encountered the manly God a while back. He appears to be looking for legendaries and subspecies of them all over the globe. From what I gather anyhow."
  288. Lileep: "We've encountered a few of them before meeting him. Funny enough, no single legendary we've encountered knew anything about Pokémon before becoming one."
  289. Grace Leonhardt: "That's... rather ironic."
  290. Actinidia: Actinidia is watching the Snivy. But not trying to seem like she's watching the snivy. Perception to see if the snivy is similarily interested in her.
  291. Actinidia: 3+1+2+1=7
  292. Lileep: "I find that no likely coincidence. The more weaker the species is considered it seems, the more knowledgeable the person was of Pokémon. In my experience. Perhaps this is Darwin's Law of intelligence and survivability versus power?"
  293. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Wait... How many 'legendaries' have you encountered?"
  294. Etna: "I don't know if Darwin made a law like that or not. Wasn't really a scientist or a historian. But it does seem like kind of a balance? I don't know how people saw Amaura and Aurorus, but I know a lot about Pokemon and nobody's been able to drop me so far, so let's leave it at Hypothesis?"
  295. Actinidia: Actinidia glances away, feeling flustered.
  296. Etna: "It also doesn't cover for non-humans that became Pokemon."
  297. Actinidia: "A-and Arceus knew a lot about pokemon." Actinidia added. Clearly not distracted by anything.
  298. Lileep: "True, but of the non-humans I've encountered, they've become all the same Pokémon if they're in close proximity and species."
  299. * Etna nods.
  300. Lileep: "For example, I've encountered homes where all the roaches in the area became geodude. All of them!"
  301. Etna: "That house must be really rockin'."
  302. Pierce Mars Oswell: "I don't get it..."
  303. Lileep: "So, I don't believe this transformation was as random as people assume. There's patterns here and there."
  304. Litten: "To answer, we've encountered a total of 14 legendaries."
  305. Litten: "Because you've begun a conversation of interest for this fool and he'll stop at nothing now."
  306. Etna: "Seems like a fair assessment."
  307. Etna: "So what kind of information are you after?"
  308. Snivy: Snivy chuckles at both Actinidia and Etna.
  309. * Etna raises an eyebrow at Snivy.
  310. Lileep: "Evil-doers, of which there is far too many of, and legendaries and their motives."
  311. Grace Leonhardt: "Jeeze, 14 legendaries within the area... does that mean there's more? Or is this some kind of... legendary epicenter?"
  312. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Fourteen!? You've found fourteen things tantamount to gods in just this area alone!?"
  313. Snivy: "You made a funny, ice one. I just got it."
  314. * Etna nods, and looks back to Lileep.
  315. Etna: "Evildoers. That's a good way to put it. Once we've brought this family to safety, we're going to be hunting down some evildoers."
  316. Litten: "Oh, not quite. Of the D.C. area, there was...what? Four?"
  317. Litten: "Most of them were in the Baltimore Harbor East area."
  318. Etna: "It's been less than a full day. How far have you travelled?"
  319. Snivy: "We've traveled from the Towson county area through the downtown harbor area to here."
  320. Snivy: "There's been huge migrations, if you want to call it that, about six hours after the transformation last night."
  321. Snivy: "Word of advice? Avoid the waters. Even if you're water type. You will die."
  322. Etna: "People moving where they'll be most comfortable, probably?"
  323. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Predators, or toxicity?"
  324. Etna: "Probably both."
  325. Snivy: "Mostly predators."
  326. Actinidia: "That makes sense. So many fish must have turned into non-fish. We've been traveling back and forth on this road.
  327. Snivy: "Luckily, those native there haven't figured out they can move on land just fine."
  328. Lileep: "Now, we like to call ourselves 'Observers'. We're not strangers to combat or anything but we realize the great truth. We'll live longer if we avoid more battles."
  329. Etna: "Well. As I mentioned, there's been a few gangs that tried to rise up on land, too, and worse. Maybe you'd like to help with dealing with the giant Onix that's leading a snake gang to terrorize people and forcibly conscript other snake-mons? We both have someone that they'll target eventually."
  330. Rhyhorn: "Or we'll level the fuck up, evolve and be the shit!"
  331. Koffing: "Yeyeyeyeye."
  332. Litten: "If that were true, you'd be a Rhydon already."
  333. Etna: "If you want to stay out of the fighting, or stay in the back, then information would help."
  334. Lileep: "Oh, that asshole. Yeah, we met him."
  335. Snivy: "Yes. I told him to go fuck himself."
  336. Rhyhorn: "And then I said HI."
  337. * Etna gestures with her head to the family travelling with them. "They killed two of this family. We're going to stop them from doing that to anyone else."
  338. Actinidia: "We don't have a goal as a group, other than helping each other survive. I want to figure out what groups are starting to form in the area. Build a network out of the friendliest of them, and hopefully carve out a place of my own."
  339. Lileep: "Hm. If you're the kind that 'does' things, perhaps we could involve one another in a mutually beneficial relationship?"
  340. Etna: "Sounds like a good idea. Talk and walk?"
  341. Lileep: "Not quite. We're heading to the waters."
  342. Snivy: "Which is a bad idea."
  343. Lileep: "To see what's happening down below. We need eyes everywhere."
  344. Snivy: "I'm only going to keep reminding you it's a bad idea."
  345. Lileep: "And yet you're going there with us. Strange how this works."
  346. Etna: "Not a local. Which way are the waters?"
  347. Lileep: "The northwest. But it's far easier to reach from the MARC train station."
  348. Lileep: "Which is to the south."
  349. Pierce Mars Oswell: "The trains are in operation, or is it just a straight line down there?"
  350. Lileep: "They're all destroyed!"
  351. Etna: "Alright. What did you have in mind for the mutual benefit thing?"
  352. Lileep: "But the tunnels are still functional. As tunnels."
  353. Pierce Mars Oswell: "I see...."
  354. Lileep: "So, we like to learn things. About groups. But we don't actually DO things. About groups."
  355. Lileep: "So, things we feel needs be done, but won't do them, we could just send your way. So they'll get done!"
  356. Lileep: "Mind you, we'll pay you for getting things done."
  357. Actinidia: "I like this idea."
  358. Lileep: "Oh yes, currency." Lileep produces several gems, "So, these are what money has become."
  359. Lileep: "And a lot of the animal turned Pokémon has already begun trading them as valuables. We've been trying to learn how their value system works."
  360. Litten: "They laugh at us whenever we ask."
  361. Lileep: "But as far as I can gather, the red ones are the least valuable with the green ones being the most valuable."
  362. Actinidia: "I'm sure we can figure it out eventually. Supply and demand. Whichever is more common must be worth less. And whatever items are more scarce must be worth more. It's too soon to know either at this point."
  363. Lileep: "So, we can pay you in the new currency, or with supplies. Whichever you prefer."
  364. Lileep: "But we can do whichever on a case by case basis. No need to solidify either one at the moment."
  365. Etna: "Money doesn't really hold value without a society to uphold that value. So. Information, groups and doing. We're planning to try and put together a safe zone. The only way we've thought to do that is a mix of talk, combat, mercy, reputation... the sort of thing you get by on conquering land with a small group. Information that helps with setting up that safe zone would be a priority for us, and for you if you're working with Arceus, I'd think." Etna shrugs, as best she can manage. "Either way, information and jobs for pay is a good start-up."
  366. Actinidia: "I am Actinidia. By the way."
  367. Lileep: "Excellent. With that being said, I could spread your names with those I encounter. Never underestimate word of mouth."
  368. Lileep: "However, realize that in doing so is a double-edged sword. Your name would flow through both the right people and the wrong people."
  369. Etna: "Etna, Actinidia, Mars, Grace and Uraruren. We don't have a group name yet. Maybe wait on the name-spreading until we get a bit stronger?"
  370. Snivy: "I'm Snoe." Snivy bows, "Laugh at my name and we're enemies."
  371. Etna: "You're a grass-type named Snoe. I'm an ice type named after a volcano. I don't think either of us are going to laugh."
  372. Actinidia: ((Snow or like Shoe?))
  373. Grace Leonhardt: "And I just kept my old name. Sooo, I'm not one to judge."
  374. Actinidia: "Actinidia is a kind of plant. Also known as Silver Vine aaand I just realized why I might be a snivy."
  375. Lileep: "I'm Joseph. The Litten is Gin. The Rhyhorn is Baker. I call him brute. He seems to like it. The Koffing is..."
  376. Koffing: "Mehehehehe..."
  377. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Mars is just a name. Nothing too special."
  378. Lileep: "We call her Laughy. Because she's weird and never says real words."
  379. Etna: "So do you have a place you're making your base?"
  380. Grace Leonhardt: "Was she human?"
  381. Lileep: "We're not exactly sure."
  382. Lileep: "She recognizes and understands things fine though. So she's smart. Just...prefers not to speak."
  383. Actinidia: "To each their own."
  384. Lileep: "Now, we don't have a base of operations. Such a thing as exploration and observation wouldn't rightly do well with a non-mobile base."
  385. Lileep: "Should we get one that is mobile though, we'll let you know. Until then we just travel."
  386. Etna: "That's understandable, but it does make keeping contact difficult."
  387. Grace Leonhardt: "Fair enough. If you've yet to meet the legendary we're going to, you might be able to ad them to the list of info to gather."
  388. Lileep: "Oh! You're going to go meet one! Fantastic! Mind if we joined you?"
  389. Actinidia: "A white dragon. A doctor who doesn't enjoy not being human anymore. Believes this will reverse itself soon."
  390. Etna: "You can come along. We're meeting up with Doctor Radegonda, a Reshiram."
  391. * Etna looks back to Austin. "Thax''a r'uangftx anuiagh. Inru'nasuun gaafta't ang gasathsu'at."
  392. Austin: Austin nods to Etna but continues to hide behind his mom-dad.
  393. * Etna then looks back to the Lileep and the rest of the info group. "By the way. Some Pokemon can still speak with humans."
  394. Joseph the Lileep: "Interesting theory. One that'll suck to cling to if it doesn't happen."
  395. Joseph the Lileep: "But, I'll keep my opinions to myself."
  396. Etna: "Probably for the best. Arceus already tried to recruit her. We had to mediate before it ran the risk of becoming a fight."
  397. Joseph the Lileep: "Indeed! I've met a few, like yourself. Though none that can read. Show me one that can and it'll be a treat."
  398. Actinidia: "She's sensitive. But at least she's on team Human Society."
  399. * Etna shrugs. "The characters are consistent. It looks like it'll take practice and study, nothing more. I might try and learn to read, actually."
  400. Joseph the Lileep: "Alright gang! A deteor, we're going to go meet a Reshiram!"
  401. Snoe the Snivy: "Oh thank Arceus, no water diving."
  402. Joseph the Lileep: "Not yet, no. But later."
  403. Baker the Rhyhorn: "Can I say hi?"
  404. Gin the Litten: "I swear on my nine lives that if you say hi to this woman I'll personally rip your balls off with my flames."
  405. Etna: "Not with your face. She's really big and doesn't put up with fights."
  406. Etna: "Bigger than me by a lot."
  407. Baker the Rhyhorn: Baker the Rhyhorn pouts at both the comments, "...Oh. Okay."
  408. Laughy: "HAHAHAHAHA!"
  409. Actinidia: "We should get moving and talking. We've got a bit to go still."
  410. Etna: "Yeah."
  411. Joseph the Lileep: "Yes, let us go see the lady in white"!
  412. Narrator: Lesse. Considering the size of your group now. Ain't shit gonna really try to mess with you. Ssssso... FAST TRAVEL.
  413. Calculating arrival time...
  414. Grace Leonhardt: "Also, don't steal anything. That's like... the thing that we caught was the big reason for her putting things to the torch."
  415. Avara: yeah. we're a LOT of people to try and mess with.
  416. Avara: we fuck over groups when there's just 5 of us.
  417. It is now 6:25 PM.
  418. DNA: Iron Defense wore off! NOOOOOOOOOO
  419. Avara: the team is your iron defense right now, apparently
  420. DNA: okay then!
  421. You arrive at Radegonda's abode just as the sky begins to darken. You arrive with Radegonda pushing the damaged vehicles around the three houses nearest hers to create a makeshift barrier.
  422. Reshiram: Upon hearing your team arrive, Reshiram spins around to face you and puffs up her chest while raising her wings to appear more threatening.
  423. Reshiram: "Get...!" Reshiram then recognizes your group members from among the others along with Austin, "Oh. It's you guys."
  424. Actinidia: "Good Evening."
  425. Etna: "Hi, Doctor. We're here with some new business associates of ours... or something like that. And the surviving Rice family."
  426. Reshiram: "Surviving...?"
  427. Redonda: "Miss Amalda...is that you?"
  428. Etna: "We didn't get back fast enough. They were attacked by a gang of serpent pokemon. They can tell you the rest in their own time."
  429. Reshiram: "Redonda? That's you isn't it? You've become very....butch." Reshiram clears her throat.
  430. * Etna looks back to Austin. "Thas't Duthsu' Ragagunga."
  431. Austin: Austin blinks when he hears Etna and looks to Radegonda, "Oh, nutt Anaftga? G-Guug a'anung nutt Anaftga."
  432. Etna: "Austin says good evening."
  433. Reshiram: Reshiram blinks, "Okay, what in the hell was that?"
  434. Etna: "That was me speaking with Austin in human-speak."
  435. Reshiram: "...So that's what you were talking about earlier..." Reshiram sighs heavily, "I'm sorry Redonda..."
  436. Redonda: "I'll learn to speak with him too. There's nothing to be sorry about. You're doing us a big help."
  437. Baker the Rhyhorn: "Big?! Are you CRAZY?! She's frickin' HOOOOOGE!!!"
  438. Reshiram: "..."
  439. Grace Leonhardt: "Oi! Rude!"
  440. Etna: "Very. Let the others talk."
  441. Joseph the Lileep: "Let's not upset that legendary flame dragon of ideals, okay?"
  442. Pierce Mars Oswell: "We think he might have been a dog at one point. Don't mind him too much if you can help it..."
  443. Reshiram: "...Oh dear lord."
  444. Etna: "He takes size as a factor in power. So for him, you're large and in charge."
  445. Reshiram: "Well," Reshiram chuckles as she looks away, almost blushing, "He's not wrong or anything. Hmph."
  446. Grace Leonhardt: "In other words a visual learner."
  447. Gin the Litten: "So, we're to understand you're going to be the god-tier protector of this place?"
  448. Reshiram: "Of my place. And only of those that behave."
  449. Gin the Litten: "Uh, right. Your place. Of course it's your place..."
  450. Laughy: "Mufufufufufu..."
  451. Etna: "Right. So... something we wanted to bring up, since you're one of the people that're focused on keeping things civil and all. After what happened to the Rice family... my group's planning to try and make a safe zone of the area. That does entail some fighting, talking, and other factors. We're obviously not going to pick a fight with you, we just want to know if you're going to have any problems with us operating in the area. There's some gangs and stuff that are forming, and we want to focus on stomping them out first."
  452. Grace Leonhardt: "Or at least not have them become bandit like."
  453. Reshiram: "I don't like gangs. Gangs threaten and try to establish areas of power. For themselves."
  454. Reshiram: "I have agreed to keep those I like here safe. And that are my old friends, if they're going to behave, and those with human children in need of a safe place to be."
  455. Reshiram: "This isn't an open door invitation to just anyone and everyone and things that threaten it are an obvious problem."
  456. Reshiram: "I consider you guys, minus the new ones you just brought here that I don't know, to be my friends." Reshiram shrugs, "Though, friends of my friends are always welcomed guests. Until they misbehave."
  457. Joseph the Lileep: "That's very good to know, miss Amalda. And believe me when I say we aren't here to stay. Just to visit and meet you. We very much enjoy traveling. Consider us nomads."
  458. Etna: "Alright. I appreciate your position. We're not going to be trying to shove people into your area or anything, just... you know. Making sure you know what we're up to, and making sure we don't get into a fight over a misunderstanding or something."
  459. Grace Leonhardt: "Yeah, these guys seem to be a bit of a servey team with other legendaries. So far, including you it seems they've seen 15."
  460. Reshiram: "I appreciate it. But no, please. Stomp the gangs out there out. The less troublemakers we have, the better."
  461. Snoe the Snivy: "Something we definitely agree with."
  462. * Etna nods. "Alright. We've got the things from the Rice family home, so if it's alright, we'd like to unload the stuff where they're gonna be staying."
  463. Actinidia: Actinidia looks for the name of the street we are on.
  464. Actinidia: Can Actinidia read the street name?
  465. Actinidia: Of course she can't. "Etna, could you ask Austin to read the street name? It would be good if this place had a name we could refer to."
  466. * Etna passes the question along to Austin.
  467. Etna: "Ir us't nus suu niathh s'uiaftfta, ghuiaftg xuia nung 'aagung sha ts'aas tugn ru' iat?"
  468. Austin: "Tha ts'aas nana? Sa'ansh Ss'aas."
  469. * Etna thanks Austin in human, before translating for Actinidia, "Seventh Street."
  470. Actinidia: "Sa'ansh Ss'aas?"
  471. Etna: "Seventh Street."
  472. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Seventh Street... So we may be able to count up or down in order to find where we are. Are all the streets numbered like this? Which way is Sixth Street?"
  473. Actinidia: "It might be worth memorizing in human language, since it is a place for human children."
  474. * Etna is going to unload supplies wherever the Rice family is staying. In Radegonda's house? In one of the side houses?
  475. Reshiram: "6th street is the way you came."
  476. Actinidia: "Sa'ansh Ss'aas..." Actinidia said to herself. "... nana Actinidia..." She tried.
  477. Actinidia: " 'nana' is 'name'?"
  478. Pierce Mars Oswell: "And how far do the street numbers go up?"
  479. Etna: "The name sounds change when you speak as a human too. Actinidia is Athsunugua. I think."
  480. Reshiram: "I think 40th?"
  481. Avara: brb.
  482. Pierce Mars Oswell: "All right, that's good. So if we need to roam our way around, we'll be able to count all the streets, figure out where we are, and retrace our steps if necessary."
  483. Actinidia: "We can't read the signs. It's only helpful for humans, but humans are who Dr. Radegonda wants to protect."
  484. Pierce Mars Oswell: "I know; it's more so trying to report a relative locations. Like if we say we need to find 13th Street, we just need to count six streets over."
  485. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Not sure how helpful that will be, but...anything can help..."
  486. Actinidia: "It might. It's a good idea."
  487. Grace Leonhardt: "If any of them are locals, they might be able to get here if we mention 6th street."
  488. Actinidia: "Snoe, you said you told the Onix to fuck off?"
  489. Actinidia: "I heard the snakes were looking for other snakes. It's a bit worrying for me."
  490. Grace Leonhardt: "Oh! That's right you need to be careful too."
  491. Snoe the Snivy: "Hm? Oh yeah, I did. He tried to recruit me. Had a bunch of other snakes with him when he did."
  492. Snoe the Snivy: "Tried to intimidate me into joining. But unfortunately for him, we know what Pokémon are and what attacks do. So, we know how to fight a heck of a lot better. And brute knows fighting better than any of us. He's a fighting genius."
  493. Baker the Rhyhorn: "I do like saying hi."
  494. DNA: I laughed at that more than I should have
  495. Grace Leonhardt: "I'm starting to notice that trend. That and rock headed guy like you probably would do decently."
  496. Snoe the Snivy: "They had pretty much all the snakes, if I remember right. Onix, Seviper, Ekans, Dratini, even a friggin' Dunsparce."
  497. Actinidia: "That makes me think... how fast do pokemon breed? I know how it works in the games." Actinidia folded her arms, "If he's trying to breed an army, and it does work like the games, he's got a good stategy. And second generation pokemon are going to be much smarter than their parents when it comes to battle."
  498. Avara: back
  499. Snoe the Snivy: "I haven't tried breeding and it's not something that's come up. Why? Want to try it out?"
  500. Joseph the Lileep: "That is an oddly good point..."
  501. * Pierce Mars Oswell gives a really low whistle.
  502. Uraruren: "Eggs hatch in a few days. Eggs are created almost instantly."
  503. Uraruren: "But you can't just drop a billion eggs. You need to wait until the next breeding cycle."
  504. Pierce Mars Oswell: "...how do you know this?"
  505. Actinidia: Actinidia's stomach dropped. "I... uh... I'm a little too 'human' still to run off and do that so casually. I- it is weird enough to find non-human bodies attractive."
  506. Etna: "People in your family tried breeding after the change, Ura?"
  507. Uraruren: "Uhm, I was born as I am...?"
  508. Grace Leonhardt: "Touche."
  509. * Etna shrugs. "Nobody's said what happens to eggs that haven't hatched yet at the time of the change."
  510. Snoe the Snivy: "I'm not either. But I am curious. And you need to stop looking nice. It's distracting."
  511. Actinidia: If Actinidia's species was able to blush, she was.
  512. * Etna looks at Snoe. "Don't blame her for your body's instincts flaring."
  513. Uraruren: "But if we're talking about eggs, I'm not sure if breeding is the way to do it. Even if you create a clutch like that, no one is a slave inherently. There'll be rebellions within the group if they're doing it the way they are."
  514. Snoe the Snivy: "I'm bad at flirting. And probably even breeding. And probably everything else involved in it."
  515. Etna: "Stop that too. Don't beat yourself up over something that hasn't happened yet."
  516. Actinidia: Actinidia glanced to Etna. "...yet?"
  517. Snoe the Snivy: "I was bad at all these things before I became a Snivy."
  518. * Etna shrugs again.
  519. Grace Leonhardt: "is it a bad sign that I just had the image of oroboros pop into my head with that group? Because if infighting happens, that's how you get oroboros."
  520. Etna: "No telling how long we're all going to be stuck like this, and people remain to be people."
  521. Etna: "Breeding's probably going to happen eventually. And Snoe, giving in before you try just means you're choosing to lose. Better to try and learn from your mistakes if you do mess up."
  522. Etna: "I mean, you two weren't exactly subtle checking each other out at the battlefield."
  523. Redonda: "I'm going to just...this is weird and..." Redonda takes both Michelle and Austin into the house.
  524. * Etna chuckles.
  525. Reshiram: "Oh, right. Redonda is a he now. That would be weird..."
  526. Actinidia: "I haven't exactly seen my own species before. It was... enlightening."
  527. Grace Leonhardt: Grace can't help but feel a little bit weird about the mention of breeding, and the idea of that possibly happening down the line as a pokemon is super weird. "Uh... does this mean we find out where the eggs come from without it being kid friendly? Uhhhh..."
  528. Laughy: "Pfayahayahayaha..."
  529. Pierce Mars Oswell: "I wasn't aware any of us were children..."
  530. * Etna chuckles more.
  531. DNA: Oh wait, Baby trait. I stand correct.
  532. DNA: *corrected.
  533. DNA: ... ... ...that would have been one hell of a pun.
  534. Etna: "I wonder if the attraction's more functional between same-species than cross-species but same egg group, or if there's some other factor?"
  535. Grace Leonhardt: "Oh uh... sorry mars. In the pokemon gams breeding is a thing... but it's just that you put two pokemon in the 'daycare' and then 'suddenly one of them is holding an egg', and the staff 'don't know where it came from.' So... yeah..."
  536. Uraruren: "Well, that's not how I was told it works."
  537. Actinidia: "Lets look at the egg groups in the books and see. As far as I know, Snoe is the first one I've met that's in my egg group
  538. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Oh, that's what you meant. ...I'm pretty sure you know that's not how it works, Grace."
  539. Uraruren: "Though it was explained to me no one likes it when you eat the other afterward."
  540. Uraruren: "'We don't do that anymore' is what mother said."
  541. Actinidia: '((Molly "Don't we nuzzle until an egg happens?"))
  542. Grace Leonhardt: "Well to be fair ura, it's a kids game. hey wouldn't straight up show/tell how it worked to kids."
  543. Etna: "... Yeah, you shouldn't need to do that anymore. Your body's able to hold enough nutrition, and the eggs probably don't produce as many at once, and..." Etna shrugged. "Not necessary to eat your mate. Very few species actually did that before becoming Pokemon."
  544. Uraruren: "Well, I've never done or seen it either. Just explained to."
  545. Grace Leonhardt: "Yeah, I think there's uh... egg groups for more general shape than anything. And uh... Mars, egg groups are groups of pokemon that can successfully breed togeather, and get an egg."
  546. Pierce Mars Oswell: "So cross-species compatibility within limits, then."
  547. DNA: also hush Rob
  548. Gin the Litten: "...So, disregarding this awkward conversation."
  549. Gin the Litten: "You guys are intent on fighting snakes, right?"
  550. Gin the Litten: "If I remember right, they're located in the White House. Or, what's left of it."
  551. Etna: "Yes. We've already got a very basic tactical outline."
  552. Etna: "... So I guess we're going to the White House after all, then."
  553. Snoe the Snivy: "Yeah. They kidnapped me in my sleep. And regretted it later."
  554. Baker the Rhyhorn: "Bit of advice though? They're stupid and group up a lot. So, do group hellos."
  555. Actinidia: "They did...? This sounds like a bigger story than I first thought."
  556. Etna: "Group hellos. Got it. I'll see if I can come up with a good group hello technique."
  557. Joseph the Lileep: "And be aware that, last we saw, they had a pretty sizable number of snakes."
  558. Actinidia: "Etna is our group negotiator."
  559. Etna: "And organizer, as far as I can tell. You all tend to dither."
  560. Grace Leonhardt: "I really wanna argue but I really can't too..."
  561. Actinidia: "And my healing is all short range, I have to follow after them."
  562. Pierce Mars Oswell: "I've never really been a team captain type, honestly, so I'm not bothered by that."
  563. Etna: "Well. These are a group of willing murderers, so I'm not feeling too negotiative, at least not until their leadership is dealt with."
  564. Etna: "We'll head out to the area and scope it out, and plan how to deal with them."
  565. Etna: "Tomorrow."
  566. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Seems like a plan. Should we set up a night watch?"
  567. Actinidia: "Tomorrow." Actinidia nodded.
  568. Etna: "For now, we need to settle in. Rest, study the book, and prepare for the fight. A night watch is a good idea too."
  569. Grace Leonhardt: "Yeah, and we need to get Mars the basics about typing and stuff."
  570. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Right...the book. I need to know that thing cover to cover if I don't want to die."
  571. Avara: good stopping point?
  572. Narrator: Shall we start the next session at the start of the next day?

  605. Narrator: But each level you automatically gain health, power, a stat point and a focus.
  606. Narrator: THEN you apply what you get from your class.
