What a crazy week, feels like I haven't slept at all... Just got home from seeing Scar Symmetry live, a really good gig despite the boring setlist. Kind of amusing when the band asks "What song from album X should we play?" and maybe one person shouts the name of the song they're about to play.

A couple of days ago I was at Io-Interactive with FortheSeven, Hatch and White, in a HITMAN related thing. Honestly, when I was invited I expected it to be more of a PR-focused event but when I got there it became very clear that it wasn't the case at all. I can't say what it was specifically about, but it was really great being able to have a dialogue about the game rather than just yelling "fuck this thing" over the internet. I hope and think that this was much more productive for everyone involved. I have a lot of major problems with the game in its current state, but there's still hope for it, more now than a week ago.

Before that, I was at Finnruns Slim which was quite a fun little marathon. The stream had a lot of connection issues that we can blame on Kuopio being Kuopio, but as an attendee I enjoyed it a lot more than the previous Finnruns. The room we had for the stream was better, only having 12 hours days was nice and having staff badges was convenient. Also you can't go wrong with a one liter beers, even if it is Finnish beer. On a day like this...

Tomorrow I'm supposed to play Arabian Nights at the Prince of Persia Marathon, and you can bet I haven't played it since ESA. Will probably do a practice run or two offline before the marathon, we'll see how it goes.

After that I want to focus on some other speedgames, maybe do a post-commentated Death to spies run, some Aragami Non-Lethal Ghost All Scrolls routing, Serious Sam 3 DLC routing/runs, kind of curious to try Dead Space casually even if that involves a controller... Who knows, it all depends on finding the time and the motivation, preferably at the same time.

This week is my holiday and I was supposed to do some studying, hasn't really worked out that way. I've really enjoyed properly studying (software engineering, only just started this autumn) again after a long time so hopefully I can at least get something done this weekend. Even if I can't, this week has been great overall. Looking forward to going back to school next week so I can get some rest.
