    Introduction: As we walk into the future of space, one cannot forget or forgive their ancestors. They built the possibility of traveling to the stars. Now we must see that history is remembered and not forgotten.


The First Era: The 1960s

    This could be argued to be the initial era of our ancestors. The world had already solidified into large superpowers: the East and the West would have standoffs between each other for the coming centuries. The advent of mechanized warfare would only further cause such conflicts. However, in the interest of keeping clean hands, they would often support the breakaway states of small nations. The first of these could be said to be the event that caused the eventual start of various third world nations breaking off from their motherlands. Rumsod, leader of Tropico, was once part of a larger nation in Latin America. They broke off when the Eastern Countries supported their rebellion against their rulers, forming a tiny island nation located in the Caribbean. Many of the tools of this era were primitive as were their economic theories. Many of these third world countries got rich off exploiting a flawed economic theory of printing more money. While large GDPs were present from such events were widespread, it would also bring about the second major world wide economic collapse.
    We would see the rise of several well known figures who would lead the world through the decades. There was also the rise of the mysterious TEST, who was the leader of many nations. No one but the his close guard ever knew his true identity. He lead one third world nation but had puppets in various others supporting him.
    With the economic collapse, much of the world started to fragment and split. Large nations succumbed to the difficulties of providing for their citizens. While the East and West were able to secure themselves through the sheer size of theirs and the ability to produce large amounts of crops. They were able to survive this. However civil wars broke out in various states. This is were the founding of many of the third world states that would form the majority of nations in the future happened. From one era, we would step into another with this economic collapse.

The Second Era: The GOONFAP Dynasty

    We see the rise of the longest lasting period of Old Earth. It could be said that it was inherently stable enough to survive. However it could be less that it was stable and more that the waning powers of the East and West became a bigger factor, along with the rise of the third world super powers.

The First Rebuilding -

    After a small decade of economic collapse, the world began its slow recovery back to a civilized state. The time to rebuild was then. From the ashes, the world found that many tiny third world nations had appeared from their once larger collectives. The formation of the United Nations by the East and West was to ensure their power of what could be the newer ever rising threat of the possibility of these third world nations uniting against them. This would lead to the future invasions of various nations by the UN due to their “terrible” conditions. While often the UN would find itself occupying countries under horrible conditions, they would often invade countries that made their usage of WMDs quite public. This was all an attempt to preserve their power and ensure such weapons couldn't be used against them.
    We also see the first major war happen between third world countries. The man known as TEST would wage war against the leader, named Jon Joe who was allied with what would in the future “The Arab Goon States”. Both sides would continually receive supplies from their supporting states. The Goons would fund Jon Joe, while TEST would use his various puppets to fund him. TEST would win the war, but the results were quite interesting. It lead to the formation of the Arab Goon States, which was the forefather of the Global Goon Union. The two Blocs decided to flex their muscle and lead to the destruction of TEST and his nation. While the war was fairly successful in destroying that nation, they never did find the body of TEST however. Thus it could be said the TEST dynasty disappeared.

Rise of the Alliances -

    We see the formation of third world nations into organized collectives, similar to the germanic states that would form the HRE. Often they would be formed based on their local Region. We see the formation of the Asian Communist Alliance which would be called the ACA. Founded in Asia, they were often able to secure aid from the Eastern Bloc for their communist nature. In opposition of the ACA, the Asian Alliance would form. The Asian Alliance had close ties to America and often found themselves leaning to the Western Bloc though the records don't indicate that they fought despite their differing ideals. There was also the Che Guevara League formed by the first nation that broke away. Its goal was to promote the spread of communism in Latin America and did serve to keep Latin America entirely communist for the coming decades. In Africa we saw the rise of the African Union which promoted peace and prosperity. Along with attempting a war against AIDS.
    We would see the rise and creation of world spanning alliances as well. These were quite capable superpowers. One might ask, what did the two major superpowers do? Well the East and the West in a sense feared the collective rise of such states. They couldn't do much about them: if they launched an invasion then they'd be stuck in a war their public wouldn't support and most likely face massive casualties. As such the IFAP alliance was able to grow into a world superpower. A more fragmented sort of power like this was Platypus, found in various regions but they never really had much power.
    The rise of various famous and infamous world leaders can be traced back to this time, along with the spark for the proceeding events after the formation of many of these world collectives.

Asian Conflict -

    The First Asiatic war would be an interesting war. It remains as the first properly documented war. The honors could be put on one world leader, who went by the name of Kirino. This also marked the downfall of major politics by the two superpowers. What we see happening is that a nation who was launching offensives against a IFAP nation requested membership in the ACA. The ACA announced they would intervene and aid this nation as they joined its membership, sparking a war between the ACA and IFAP. However the war was short lived: it lasted for a few weeks before both sides approached the negotiation table and were able to reach a ceasefire. Further talks lead to a peace treaty being signed. This was really the first advent of war between two collective powers.
    However it could be said the peace was short lived. War began again as the terms of the peace treaty were not being upheld. The fabled leader Kirino would also launch a dishonest campaign to protect himself. He faked a war with three other friendly nations to keep the appearance of a conflict going on between him and other people. This lead to the generals of the third world nations to refuse to attack a nation in a war for their honor was at stake. However it would be the prelude to the future as IFAP and the GGU would work together. We also see the secretive actions of 'PEST' appear, as a tool of IFAP against the ACA. While not public, its existence on Old Earth began around this time. Peace would be achieved with a new peace treaty, which mostly secured the faith of the ACA and their disappearance into history.

Rise of Giants -

    Here we see the event that would give the Era its name. The GGU and with their close partnership, IFAP, joined together to become the overarching super collective/alliance for the rest of the Second Era. Their power only grew as time went on as people did not want to oppose them by themselves. They came to become known as GOONFAP collectively.
    We see the “Shortbus” War break out between the GOONFAP collective and PLATYPUS. The event sparked after a diplomatic meeting between various nations that was thought to be private but in fact was leaked to media outlets. The broadcasted information was then later on twisted by GOONFAP. It had the mulling of a possible attack on a GGU nation. Through clever manipulation of global media, the GGU was able to turn it into a possible offensive planned and thus gain their casus belli for a war between them. Various coordinated attacks on nations and military installations lead to a relative swift victory as PLATYPUS was unprepared and not mobilized. They suffered a defeat, in which they became the vassal of GGU for a few years. They would eventually gain their freedom by being released from their control, but they never really reached any height of power again.
    We would see the rise of two new collectives in this time period. The formation of FLAP, which was a branch of IFAP but served as a military wing for them. It accepted foreign countries into this collective as long as they were able to fight for the glory of the IFAP collective. They would prove to be highly successful in their military operations. The second was the rise of the longest standing Eastern Bloc collective. The creation of Comintern (or Communist International), would serve as the rebirth of the ACA. The ACA would die off as many of its membership joined the Comintern collective.
    We see the that after a few years, Comintern had a rogue state which caused them problems. The rogue state launched attacks against a nation in the GGU. This caused a war against GOONFAP, fighting would be relatively heavy for the time period. Comintern however was too young in a sense for it to mount a proper defensive against the forces of GOONFAP. This lead to the peace treaty between the two. The conditions of it were that the leader of Imoutopia (Kirino) was to keep his mouth shut about the GOONFAP super-collective in public. It was relatively well known the distaste of GOONFAP by Kirino. No one could really physically force him, but the treaty stated that if he did so, his nation was to be expelled from Comintern. While the rules were pretty cut and dry, Kirino still refused to agree to and continued to publicly denounce GOONFAP. This lead to a breach in the treaty and war raged again. This caused the leader of FLAP, Ross, to take his army and attack the leader of Comintern. His army was victorious in combat and lead to both sides reaching the negotiating table again. This lead to the creation of the Rossiana-USSR treaty. It served as a MDP between Comintern and FLAP, along with the expulsion of two long station members, Proditor and Kirino from the alliance. The reasons being is their public denouncements of the GOONFAP and their shady tactics. This lead to Comintern having relative safety to grow and prosper as well.
    On that note, we see the rise and fall of the ICC (International Coalition of Coalitions), which was an attempt to overthrow GOONFAP. It did not succeed in its goal, as disorganization seized it, but it was the longest-lasting pact against GOONFAP. This also lead to the public appearance of PEST by its mysterious leader cxc. It was a move on their part as a terror tactic to show that GOONFAP is not to be touched. They would break off as well and pursue their own goals. Such events would illustrate the rise of the Giants of the Era and possibly determine the fates of future events as well.

The Arrival of 4chan and the /pol/ocaust -

    A group of nomads who would often be sent out of their countries started grouping together. These people were capable of securing their own organized governments. They appeared in large droves as criminals and various other undesirables from nations joined their cause. This would mark the initial outset of conflict and the growing distaste by the global community. While some were honest, decent people, they were drowned out by the large criminal and shady element. They all seemed to follow a mysterious figure by the name of Garrison. They called themselves the 4chan people. While various tribes of 4chan existed, they never exactly had a presence in the international community. Various long standing institutions would refuse to speak to what they often labeled degenerates. However within a few years, they grew. We saw the rise of the JIDF which was really quite the largest one, and the formation of INNAWDS. From these suspicions we see tensions. As tensions rose, so did the fuel for war.
    However the 4channers were not unified in their goals, as the first conflict broke out with INNAWDS launching an attack on JIDF. As such the diplomatic talks between the two and the rest of the world started to degrade. Even the global media started to point out their 'shitposting' in the global forums. As the war progressed, various other collectives joined in the war for various reasons. They often went for the spoils of war. The leader of the collective, Obamastan, issued the decree to burn all documents and records pertaining to JIDF, after which he proceeded to commit suicide as a temporary replacement arrived on scene to take his place. Using a mysterious alias, Blueman, he declared that the JIDF no longer existed. This lead to a large disillusionment in nations that were once part of the JIDF collective. As such, the JIDF collapsed and disappeared into history. It also marked the start of what many term the /pol/ocaust. Named after the main tribe they came from. There would be resistance between various surviving nations but it did not last long.
    We would see the creation of the IWTCIRD collective as well. They caused a ruckus in the global community on their formation, which was further worsened when the leader of the collective could not be found. As such, heidi took command himself. Due to large pressure from the international community the name was changed to ACE.
    In ties to this, Kirino returned to Comintern despite the treaty stating otherwise. Comintern was threatened with war however the treaty was amended to allow him to stay as long as he did not discuss GOONFAP in public. This allowed him to return and stay in Comintern. In his mind he decided to go on a crusade against ACE for their origins as a tribe who really enjoyed horses. He managed to defeat several newly formed nations due to his tech superiority. However when he launched an attack against the leader, heidi, he was stalled by large amounts of aid coming to heidiland from all corners of the globe.
    Again, with the failure of the ICC, attempts were again made to curb the power of GOONFAP. Nations would form the WUT (World Unity Treaty) this time around. It was notable for having the Kirino Clause, stating that any collective with Kirino in it would not be allowed to join.
    We also see regime changes in various collectives. INNAWDS's leadership would be handed over to a man named Katbug. We would also see that the leader of AU, Libu, was really a TEST puppet and possibly had TEST in his nation. This lead to a UN mandate to stop TEST. The two superpowers ultimately feared him for his unknown capabilities. They also worked against PEST, invading countries that had ties to the organizations. However when often PEST spies planted such information to get the UN to invade nations. As such Libu was destroyed by a UN invasion but once again they were not able to find TEST himself. They suspected that Libu was TEST himself as they found the body of Libu. The two superpowers also launched a attack on the newly forming Yotsuba, for their fears of a another large 4chan collective. They saw that such a collective could very well challenge the UN and its associates. This lead to the destruction and death of large part of the Yotsuba Leadership. However like every good mystery, the body of the leader, Uranistan, could not be found among the ruins of his nation's capital.
    We would see the second half of the /pol/ocaust come into swing as tiny operations began. Leaks of Yotsuba's high command showed they planned to avenge the JIDF through the widespread use of WMDs. As such, OPERATION: PLUGLEAK began to hunt down these weapons. The operation processed, and often led to war as many of the nations refused to disband their weapons. We would see a part of Yotsuba break away to form the Federal Reserve, which served as a refugee camp for most of the Era.
    However, with tensions growing, war was inevitable. Various collectives declared war on the Yotsuba collective with a few months. Yotsuba was unable to fight the large assaults on its member nations and started to crumble. As the war waged on for a few years, the years after would still be ones that offered resistance. As the global forum once again was filled with 'shitposting', the war would only fuel itself. After a few years of fighting, they disbanded and were on their own.
    As such from the ruins we would see the rise of various smaller collectives, with or without ties to the original 4chan tribes. Dictators United would form in the middle east as a collective of dictators who really liked oil and various other things. They would have their time in the sun but were never influential on global politics. We would see the rise of GDI, the first Western bloc alliance. Their mission was to ensure the containment of Communism. While initial recruitment was slow due to the overarching monstrosities of the communist collectives, they held their ground. We would also see the formation of their counter, the Brotherhood of Nod. A terrorist group who wanted to harvest a mysterious substance called Tiberium. Various wars between GDI and Nod were made over this substance. We also saw the formation and unification of the GET and Vidya Union 4chan tribes. They were able to gather enough support from already established but ruined 4chan nations. The 4chan people gained a respectable outlet and group in the Vidya Union. We also see the formation of RUKUNU, which was a mercenary coalition. Their job was fight wars so others didn't have to. With nations formed up of mostly military personnel they were highly effective. However their original origins was to claim that they had contracts when they launched assaults on various random nations, with only later on receiving contracts. Kirino would form his own religious collective named Sanctum Ordinem, which had the objective of cleansing the 4chan horse tribe from the face of earth.
    We would see the first pact of its kind, the EFF form. Which was a pact between nations of various alliances or included the alliances themselves. One of the first members were GDI. The whole mission of the EFF was to ensure the safety and protection of various Democratic and Free market nations across the world.
    In other headlines, the Two Superpowers concluded their race into the heavens when the West was able to land a man on the moon. However both super powers continued to further standoff in space by the construction of elaborate space vehicles and stations. They hoped that domination of space would allow the domination of their enemy, and the third world which was growing increasingly powerful. We see the formation of globalization to usher us into a new period in this era.

Period of Strife -

    The world recoiling from what could amount to a campaign of genocide against a people, now faced new challenges. There was the fear that the various 4chan tribes would once again join together under one banner to wage a war against their enemies.
    We also see the surviving 4chan tribes, despite the fact they were less extreme than the JIDF and Yotsubians when it came to foreign relations, still seeking a type of safety. They would form the Concert of Nations, one big defensive pact to ensure their safety. This pact was going to be made up of the Sealion League, COME-OVA, ACE, VU, and the African Union. Documents state that Comintern was originally going to be a part of this but that fell through in the discussions. For in the discussions, cxc impersonated Jenkins during the talks and stalled them. The pact was signed but it went without the African Union and Comintern.
    Under those circumstances, under the belief that one does not make large alliances and pacts without the want to go into war, the African Union formed their own pact. This pact was called the Orchestra of Nations, which was made up of GGU, IFAP, FLAP, AU, and Comintern. It would noted that this pact would last until the end and fall of the GOONFAP dynasty.
    However, trouble began for the CoN when leaks were discovered of heidi conspiring against the leader of the Global Goon Union. Further more, a person impersonating said leader put bounties on ACE, which various people in INNAWDS attempted to fulfill. This lead to the Sanctum Ordinem to declare their crusade against ACE. Which at the same time FLAP joined in the conflict by ACE winning the FLAP 'lottery'. There was much debate as to the legitimacy of the lottery. However within a few hours of the attacks, heidi told the rest of the CoN not to declare war since it was pointless as they could not win. This lead to the breakdown and dissolution of the CoN along with the destruction of the ACE collective. After which the the whereabouts of heidi were unknown.
    With these victories in mind, we see Kirino continuing his offensives on various other groups, which included COME-OVA, UBA, AU, and the Sealion League. However the odds were great and Kirino called in Comintern which backed all if not most of Kirino's actions. The Three Hour War got its name for the three hours it lasted. Peace talks were able to be swiftly reached by various diplomats. Kirino refused to adopt the peace treaty. He claimed to have left his post as the leader of Sanctum Ordinem. This was quickly found to be false as various weeks passed without him stepping down from his position.
    We see the Red Heist of the Federal Reserve. Leaks were made public of one the leaders of the Federal Reserve, Brando, attempting a spying operation against Comintern. Diplomatic talks failed and Comintern launched its offensives against the Federal Reserve. The CGL saw to it that invention behalf of Comintern was proper and necessary as they also launched attacks on the Federal Reserve on behalf of their communist allies. This lead to the expulsion of Brando from the Federal Reserve and peace was declared. However it should be noted that the person who leaked the information to the public was Korosov, who once was a leader of Yotsuba. This was an act of revenge because Brando leaked information that lead to Yotsuba's disbandment.
    Rukunu got a contract to hit someone in INNAWDS, but INNAWDS said they would defend their membership. This lead to them sending diplomats to every collective in an effort to secure aid. However the leader of the alliance suddenly defected to Rukunu. Under their orders he destroyed the collective and burned the documents. As such INNAWDS was now destroyed. A new regime change it seems was in place, with RemoveKolech setting up a provisional Junta.
    Soon thereafter Sanctum Ordinem, with its continual history of aggressive actions, would face its final climax. Due to Kirino's aggression and universal distaste, Mandozer of Rukunu was able through the help of the global community shift his mercenary people across the globe to Asia. He also became the leader of the EFF in a landslide victory vote. War nearly happened between SO and GDI when Kirino's incessant threats extended to a invasion of GDI nations. This lead to very long peace discussions despite the fact no attack had yet happened. The agreement was that Mandozer's army would come face to face with Kirino's army without outside support. This was broken when Kirino was found to be gaining outside support and violated the treaty. This culminated in EFF joining the war against Sanctum Ordinem. Along with Rukunu joining the ranks of EFF. However a man was able to release previously unknown documents pertaining to Kirino's past. We would see the disappearance of Kirino from the world stage after this.
    The rising conflicts and strife that was going over the world became an ever increasing concern of the two world powers. They started themselves to fear the power that grows in the third world. They begun operations to sabotage the workings of these political puppets. However because they still had to rely on these puppets to fight their wars for them. Which lead to the culmination and failures of the intelligence divisions of both superpowers. Technology started to become ever expanding as well. Now people in the third world nations could start watching satellite television just like what was standard in the first and second world powers. The border of technology started to disappear and fade away. As such, this lead to the period of unease.

The Rise of Unease -

    Tensions were on the rise as the future of the Old Earth continued to undulate. With the disappearance of Kirino, questions arose as to who would fill his power game or fill is game of playing the aggressor in international politics.
    We see the development of maniPEST destiny and PEST's march across Asia. They brought with them tax demands. It seems like this would mark the start of PEST's rise to power. One that would not be fully fulfilled until a second crisis occurred. However, maniPEST destiny first destroyed the Sealion League, and due to the Sealion League's lax military regulations and upkeep, they were caught off guard. This lead to Sealion League becoming less of a world power as they licked their wounds from the attacks of PEST.
    There was also a large discussion as heidi reappeared on the global stage. With him he had amassed a large scientific lab and layer. His people had been working diligently on what was the fabled Alliance Indexer. This was a program which when used was able to hack into secure data communications and satellite imagery, gathering large amounts of military and other intelligence. This lead to a large concern by the international community due to the effectiveness of this program. The UN and the super powers launched their collective assaults on what remained of heidiland, but heidi once again slipped past his enemies and disappeared.
    Another would try to form a collective from the horse tribes of 4chan under the name of NCE. However this was met with great displeasure by the global community due to the horse tribes' connection to heidi and his current actions. The leader of NCE, Emily, would continue her attempts at recruiting more from the horse tribes, but even the horse tribes disagreed and disapproved of Emily's approach to the horse, claiming that she took it too far.
    We would see the advent of Comintern's imperialistic nature and its want for expansion. The First Conglomerate War between Comintern and WEC happened. With the rapid defeat of WEC from being outgunned and outmanned, Comintern started their protectorate program which took in WEC as its first protectorate. They also took in Weyland-Yutani who willingly joined to be a protectorate. They served as a large troop supplier to various East Bloc collectives and nations.
    The second Tiberium war is also recorded to be somewhere in this era. When it became public that GDI would be shutting down its operations across the globe. This lead to a surprise Nod assault on various GDI facilities; they would be met with failure as GDI shutting down was just a ruse. The plan didn't culminate in anything other than a another standoff between the two factions.
    The Second Bush war came and gone as Rukunu once again, declared war against INNAWDS. This lead to yet another regime change, although this regime was more permanent and actually a proper government instead of a provisional government unlike the last regime.

5 Minutes to Midnight -

    The events leading up to what would be fabled as the apocalypse as an ever increasingly tense era. We would see various forms of cyber warfare emerge, with intent of stopping one another’s communications.
    Communications between nations everywhere broke down as various hacker groups under the control of TEST were able to shut down communications. They also broke into the records of various alliances and start wiping them out. After a few months of this cyberwarfare;  the hacking was stopped and communications once again rose. The two global superpowers reinforced their communication networks and started Cyberwarfare divisions to ensure that they would not fall suspect to such attacks as well. Some also saw this an opportunity to seize possible members for their global collectives, the Armed Ant Gang appeared and claimed they could aid all those who suffered from the communications loss. While they grew powerful when the communications were down; once communications were established they were attacked by various federations believing them to be a TEST puppet. However some nations were never able to establish contact again and disappeared into history. The Armed Ant Gang would suffer heavy damage from these attacks however they would stay for a while without much power.
    Gott, who was a part of IFAP, was responsible for hacking into various nations and making them broadcast that they were part of a new Gott Empire. While the event was short lived, it was termed the Gottpocalypse. The UN was able to launch a successful invasion of Gottland and were able to kill Gott. Which ended that threat, until Heidi did the same thing -- once again they chased after a ghost with very little success.
    We also see the development of FFF; which was the Friends will be Friends foundation. This was a second attempt by the 4chan collectives to deter attacks on them and defend themselves from GOONFAP aggression. However this caused tensions to run high as it seemed that the OoN and the FFF would soon stand off.

Midnight -

    The great drums of war came along with mortar fire and artillery shells. The first attack came when the nation under the command of a man named Ping. Later it would be discovered that he was the mysterious Blue-man. His attack was on the nation that many people claimed Kirino was leading, the nation was part of a collective that was in the FFF. The war begun, thousands were dying every day on the front lines. However many reports as to what side was winning as both sides started to launch cyber offensives cutting off communications between various groups. As such the actual strength of the other powers was either greatly overestimated or underestimated as various faulty information came in. It quickly turned into what seemed to be a stalemate with no clear victor.
    The situation was only further worsened when Comintern announced it was going to withdraw from the OoN and announced it was forming the Warsaw Pact. They wanted to keep themselves neutral in the current conflict. Few members of the global community were barely surprised as many claimed that this was Comintern was attempting take power after the war through such dishonorable tactics. However history shows that the vote on between staying in the OoN and leaving after the war, or, declaring the Warsaw pact vs just outright declaring the Warsaw Pact was a close vote in the Politburo chambers. With this news, the GGU and IFAP decided they should implement their final plan and begin the end times.

The Goonpocalypse -

    The Global Goon Union decided that if they would not eventually inherit Old Earth as they so planned for so long, that they would destroy it. Global communications were compromised as various hacker organizations in GGU shut them down. Insiders in the two superpowers also destroyed the communications between the two great powers. Even the secure landlines that Comintern built for their secured and safe communication grid was built in the nation that was really under the control of the GGU; thus this destroyed the Comintern communication lines. The two superpowers decided the time was to act now. Such an event threatened their place and their people. People were sent into the bomb shelters in case of nuclear retaliation; they begun various high altitude nuclear explosions, this caused a large EMP effect which did destroy most of the electronics used by the third world nations. This was quickly followed by a limited nuclear exchange which destroyed the GGU and IFAP nations. However the nuclear fallout would poison the land and block the sun for the coming decades; as fate would have, it was revealed the GGU had secured stockpiles of uranium and build their own small nuclear arsenal. These missiles and planes were sent into the superpowers and destroyed many cities, killing millions.
    With the culmination of these events, communications were gone, many nations lied in ruin from the wars, governments started to fail, and many fled to underground shelters and bunkers to escape what was being termed the Goonpocalypse. Spouts of communications on short band radios appeared and disappeared. It really was the end time as the East and West also saw each other hunkering down and were afraid that they could use this as a pretext to destroy each other. Unease ruled the day after the Goonpocalypse, possibly just as the GGU planned.

The Third Era: The Collapse

    Despite the loss of communication, the damage to the atmosphere, and life around the globe. Life would begin anew, the all clear signal rang across the world after a year. People started to group again; after a few decades, various third world nations were reformed or reforming. However the irradiated husks of the GGU and IFAP nations served as a reminder as to how close the world got to the end; the East and West became ever distrustful of the third world nations. However they too, build anew again.

The Second Rebuilding -

    After years, nations organized and started to join together again. Nations banded together once again; we see the rise of various new faces. However many old faces reappeared as well. GDI, Comintern, and various other groups rose again. We would see the rise of Garrison graphics as the 4chan tribes united once again. The East and the West started to rebuild, they saw new opportunities to strike at one another once again by proxies. The third world was collectively reassembling faster than the first and second world against all expectations.
    We see the agreement between many major powers to never allow such a group of people once again destroy the world. They agreed that if the Goons were ever to return, they would unify to stop them. As such it was set that the new world would struggle to find its own identity and future. However the world suffered many issues; the Goon Arab States which made up most of the GGU were gone, oil production fell worldwide. As such, many states searched deeper for ever smaller oil deposits. From the outside, it didn't seem to be much of an issue since there was still a large amount of oil to go around. Not to mention that new techniques for finding deeper pockets of oil were discovered.
    We also see the rise of a new EFF; one that was not built upon false grounds. GDI, NATO, African Legion, and ZAHL formed the new EFF. Their intent was to form a pact between freedom alliances, this was done in the interest of security and ensuring that the ever rapidly growing Comintern and CGL wouldn't have a chance to destroy liberty before it grew.

The Garrison Crisis

    Many debates arise over what Garrison Graphics could have been, as the collective was quite huge. Big enough to reach preGoonpocalypse numbers while everyone was still settling down and building membership. This caused people to worry; were they here for revenge or possibly to be treated as equals? It seem destined that /pol/ tribes of 4chan tribes could possibly live in peace despite their issues. However their mighty empire was not to be, one of the officers of the collective wanted to be a Comintern shill. Jokingly, the high command of Comintern told him to destroy the collective and sever all the communications. This lead to the disbandment of the collective. As unexpected as it was, it did happen. The loss of Garrison Graphics lead to a huge outcry against Comintern by various 4chan tribes.
    Things were only made worse by the political situation, as Comintern nations launched attacks on Garrison Graphics nations since they were no longer in the collective. Anger started to brew over Comintern's actions, the remaining 4channers who were able to keep some semblance of their nations formed, or joined, other 4chan collectives. It seems that they would plot the downfall of Comintern. Would they get their revenge?

Operation Barbarossa and the UN Court

    The world powers could only watch as oil prices rose, the world was crumbling for them. Yet the Third World continued to steam on ahead with not much of an issue. However the world watched the rise of war in the third world with watchful eyes to ensure they aren't victims as well.
    We see the slow gathering of troops from the 4chan tribes along with the reformation of PEST. As the mysterious leader cxc once again reappeared on the world stage, bolder than ever before. They worked with the 4chan collectives to assemble a strike force on Comintern.
    The storm came after a few years of build up. Comintern only got the message that the attack was happening only three hours before it happened, troops rushed in through the Comintern lines. Their defenses were smashed, fighting would go on for a few months after the initial assault. However from the outside it was relatively easy to see that Comintern was out matched. There was the fall of the USSR, which was the death of Comintern’s leader. PEST demanded tribute and offered for comintern members to escape the oncoming total destruction by joining the PEST penal legions. This only further strengthened the PEST forces, the war would end in a surrender from Comintern. They would be left with the parts to pick up. As people would see a glimpse of the future as oil prices rocketed to new highs during the conflict.
    PEST during this period of time would set up the UN court. This court more or less to enforce their will on other collectives and nations; with emphasis on placing themselves at the top. Various court cases were called illegitimate due to the outcome of several cases. However the motions were enforced through the threat of PEST might; If one didn't follow the verdict they were threatened with extermination. Over time however, distaste in the court appeared and set forth its own downfall so to speak.
    Around this time we see the formation of ANON; which were the various 4chan collectives united. They were made for the specific purpose of Operation Barbarossa, but were slated to disband after the war, the story would be different if that they did. People began to worry if they were planning to control the planet through their might. They really did come into their prime after the fall of Comintern.
    Around this time we also see the failure of the actual UN by the two superpowers. They were starting to lose their grip on world politics, The UN was in no shape to enforce any decision. People began to worry at the possibility of the downfall of the first world powers and the rise of the third world. The two superpowers started once again to increase their budgets on rocket research once again. GDI was able to sign a defensive pact with previously quiet aliens that lived on the planet. They themselves sought no interest in war and wanted to promote peace. In return they provided GDI with research on rocket and space technology. However it seemed like a fruitless game to invest in space while tensions and conflict loomed ahead.

The rise of SWORD

    People wanted to be free of PEST aggression, despite the fact that PEST claimed to be doing good. That PEST's claim of it using its taxes to help smaller underdeveloped nations. This fact has been debated through various historical means, due to its relatively unknown status. Along with the fact that PEST would often use its power to terrorize such small underdeveloped nations for its own gain. However, with PEST having a public face and flaunting its power so publicly. The workings of its collapse started.
    Various diplomats and leaders discussed over a few years on how to end the tyranny of PEST and their UN court. The talks ended in the establishment of the SWORD treaty, which its goal was to curb PEST aggression against the member collectives that signed it. There was a massive outcry from the global community that this was a new Goon replacement; that they would control the world soon, due to the weakening superpowers. However people did wanted to see the power of PEST curbed; a cold war began between PEST, its supporters, and SWORD. It did cause of the shutdown of the UN court and the end of taxes. Everyone watch as each move of both sides was carefully watched to ensure that they could have the proper reasons for attacking.
    We also see the development of the RVL. The Rum and Vodka League was formed out of Latin America and served as an alternative to ANON and EFF for third world nations and collectives to join. Originally made up of communist nations, it would expand to accept all kinds into its folds: it included CGL, Comintern, TDB, AA, and various others. They would as well take in PEST, which was the biggest issue. It seemed posed that a war between SWORD and RVL was ever growing.
    The sirens almost blared on new years; as troops were called into various military depots to prepare for the second great war. It didn't happen however, the whole thing was diffused rather quickly. However this would only further the tensions that were running high; the world started to grow uneased with oil prices were becoming unbelievably high. The world was ever nearing to war once again.


The SWORD – RVL War (also known as The Second Bloc World War)

“We were eating in the mess hall when the sirens blared. Everyone was called to their vehicles as the comm speaker blared that we were now at war. The bombers at the nearby airfield were streaking down the runway on their mission to deliver their payload. The Second Bloc World War began. No one foretold the massive death toll and heavy fighting we were getting into.” Unknown, 45th Infantry, Datalinks

    The war began overnight as the command decided that further waiting would only strengthen the position of PEST. Troops launched offensives on PEST only; RVL was deemed as not an enemy to SWORD. The war progressed in the favor of SWORD forces, as one wouldn't dare go to international outlets because PEST screams at regulars who visited during the time.
    However as the war progressed, talks between SWORD officials and RVL started to break down; then RVL proceeded to launch their counterattack on SWORD forces despite the guarantees of their safety. The Second Bloc World War would be a brutal one. Troops in Asia were often bogged down and weren't able to push much success from the outset. In Africa, SWORD forces were relatively unopposed and victory was secured for SWORD. The Middle east proved troublesome but SWORD forces were able provide consistent victories against the traitorous Turboscarf, leader of Blood Crescent. Latin America proved troublesome, as troops were met with many gas strikes. However the tide started to turn in Asia after the African and Middle Eastern fronts were won. Then Asia fell as well and only Latin America remained a bastion of resistance against SWORD forces.
    Peace was reached among various parties of SWORD and RVL. It seemed that the war was over, with troops in the millions dead. The world now had to pick up the pieces from the destruction of the war. The world powers grew ever more uneased that this might lead to their destruction. They made plans to ensure that if they fell, so did the world. Nuclear arsenals were enlarged while the third world themselves made progress on nuclear weapons. However no one could expect as to what was going to happen next.

The Fall
“The people cried for cheaper fuel. They cried for cheaper goods. None of it was possible however as the nations started to use all their fuel. Tanks and cars rusted in the streets as various people rebelled against their governments. Police used brutal tactics to often ensure that the wholesale destruction of city blocks did not occur.     After the war, famine and crises would seize the world. Governments were toppled under growing waves of unrest. The war ended but the war torn world was starting to struggle to survive, Oil prices reached unbelievable heights as oil production reached record lows. The World Powers prepared for the worst; Many governments committed horrible acts of violence upon protesters. These was to ensure a form of semblance and order in these governments.
    With this, many nations begun to fall apart form the inside, attempting to win oil from their neighbors. Certain nations are able to hold on longer and provide governments to their people. This is when Heidi once appeared; seemingly unable to die, he told the world that he had finished designing spacecraft that could take everyone to greener pastures. However, as civil unrest continued and the downfall of governments happened, it was doubted such projects could ever succeed. However progress had been already made by the joint GDI-Kerbal space program and the two superpowers collectively also had the idea to do such a program. The world now raced to build their spacecraft to ensure they would survive the coming death of the planet.

Exodus

    Various ships were spotted in orbit of various nations and collectives. The West had 3 ships designed on Ion Propulsion. They were among the first to leave due to their engines taking the most time to actually achieve the proper escape velocity. The Eest had prepared themselves with solar sails. Finding it cheap and efficient for the fact they were starting to crumble back on the planet. They had 4 ships, one which had been given to the people of Comintern to continue their mission of communism across the universe. Heidi was able to garner the support of the 4chan tribes he was once a part of. They were able to build a ship for each collective they had, but reports on the details of the ships were spotty due to many records being destroyed when people left the planet. Finally there was the GDI-Kerbal Orion ships which were in orbit and held a large section of the EFF. While 4 ships were built, only 3 of them were built to house the people of the EFF. One of was for the people of GDI, the other two for various other groups and nations of NATO, AL, and ZAHL. The final ship wasn't used by the EFF but was made for anyone from any nation. This would be filled with various peoples and leaders from various parts of the world. The communists set sail after the Western Colony ships did. Taking with them their hopes of communism in the galaxy to new worlds. Afterwhich the 4chan ships departed from the orbital bounds of the planet. Finally the GDI/EFF Orion ships would leave as well as gamma ray detectors showed massive outbursts and spikes of gamma radiation on the planet surface. As to what happened once the people on the surface noticed they could not escape death, we can only assume.

The Fourth Era: Dark Ages

    As humanity spread throughout the stars, they found themselves in a new dark age for hundreds of years have gone by. Yet with no contact from the other ships. Not to mention the new challenges faced by these people in settling new colonies and building up whole worlds from nothing.

The Dawn of a Darker Era

    As humanity traveled across the stars to escape the fate of their dying world. They were able to colonize several planets along the way. The first planets and colonies that were founded were on planets with relatively close to earth conditions, but there was no communication between the various planets. For the few thousand if not million year journey, the ships had grown old and weary in a sense. As the colonies prospered, people turned to the skies again. They looked to the archives on each ship for whatever they could find for rocketry. They had to once again rebuild a space programs.
    Progress was made slowly as the infrastructure didn’t exist and had to be built from the ground up along with everything else. Before we get to their pioneering work in space flight, we have to first look at the development of the early colonies. The survivors founded that they had to face frontier conditions. Many governments operated on might makes right principles; with the leader often being an influential leader or a general, as such justice was often brutal and short. However over time the colonies evolved, they expanded. Planetary governments arose with new principles and ideals. Economics were rough from the start, many resorted to bartering, however a few pioneers were able to make large scale economic systems all together it seems on some planets. These planets would read large boosts of production and growth. While fragile in nature, these economic systems proved highly efficient for colonial life.
    To return full circle, as the people from these high industry planets looked up once again to the stars. They saw new opportunities, much of the new generations had faced no war or prospect of such things. They built ships to the stars once again. These new ships were jam packed with colonists who had looked to new frontiers and adventures. From here we see the spread of certain ethnic group and the arrival of several new ones. As these colony ships departed from their homes to various other stars at slower than light speeds. Eventually to colonize further planets of varying conditions. Some planets were perpetual frozen snowballs, others too close to the sun and baked the surface. However no matter the place human began to spread among these planets.
    As these colony ships set up their own colonies that were far away from their originally settled worlds. They would start to develop their own separate cultures and ideals, this would lead to the split which prevents the development of multi-system governments. Not to mention that such ships took years upon years to reach each other planet. This did not stop the spread of colonized planets however. It just ensured that each planet would be broken off from their home world.
    This did lead to tensions as several worlds were better off than others. In this era transportation was slow. The use of liberal use of nuclear weapons to glass planets was a common use for war; this did lead to the loss of many planets as they turned into radioactive wastelands. This tended to occur more often when multiple planets were settled in a system. Less commonly when the colonists broke into differing sides on each colonized planet but still not unheard of. This accounted for the widespread destruction of various worlds. However it would not be the end, the planets that did overcome the uranium and political barriers were able to successfully set up planetary governments. Reasonable travel was still limited to solar systems, which still took years as research was slowed to a crawl as planets were setting up.


The Rise of Interconnectivity

    However after various hundreds of years. Progress was made in improving the quality of travel. Communications started to open up as various planets were starting to pick up each other’s initial radio waves. Communication between tightly group stars was possible, while possible it was still primitive and was similar to a boat going across the Atlantic. The signals took years to each other. One could expect the reply in twice the time it took for the signal to get to the planet. The purpose of these signals were often to build up scientific databases and star charts for a map of the galaxy. We see the development of the names of the sectors of the galaxy.
     Cleon, the star of one of the original planets settled in the Cleon sector was one of the most well versed in communications between the other planets. Through various means they discovered that most of the sector was engulfed by nebulae, which spurted the creation of new stars. These stars would live fast and die young, but in these huge stars the nuclear furnaces turned and created a mineral rich sector. Which is where Cleon’s affinity for mineral rich planets and asteroids comes from.
     The Draco sector had a wealth of information. Pulsars and various other anomalies that while often dangerous; proved to a wealth of scientific information. The name of the sector was based after a extremely strong pulsar that was called the Draco, it still is a scientific interest among the scientists there.
    Bion was a sector mostly made up of low gravity worlds or smaller planets with gas giants being fairly sparse. This allowed the inhabitants to save on fuel costs associated with sending materials into space and maneuvering in space as there is a lower energy requirement from the lower gravity.
     Amyntas, grew as a sector with many mid range sequence stars. This provided to be the grounds for many planets to sprout life. While the oldest sector in the galaxy, it allowed humanity to flourish on many planets. Along with this, real estate was highly valued. Real estate and large populations both lead to large monetary incoming of planets in Amyntas. The word Amyntas comes from one of the first planets named on the first settled world in the sector.
    As planets once again started to communicate with each other. Progress was slowly made in intergalactic travel. While still slow due to FTL speeds, many planets made by and were able to trade goods between star systems. Slowly an interconnected system of planets started to grow. However the sense of adventure and stories of the unknown continued to grow just like they had in the past.


Scientific Renaissance

    Despite the slow rate of commerce, scientists enjoyed a great boom of intellectual research as information was not limited by engines but by light speed. Eventually as information spread rather quickly over a few hundred years breakthroughs in space flight were being made. This lead to even further colonization among various closer, and soon enough, distance star clusters.
Among the first discoveries that really helped propel humanity into the future was the discovery of FTL travel. During one afternoon, a group of Draco scientists were digging through the archives of the original colony ships. Upon which they discovered the plans and the math behind the Alcubierre drive. After studying it for several years, they solved the key to the puzzle. They were able to begin testing and were able to create a functional warp drive. While it was still relatively slow, just barely chugging above the speed of light, the news spread like wild fire.
However that isn’t the only form of FTL travel that was discovered. We see the creation of the hyperdrive. While basically inefficient due to its massive energy usage it works fine for travel. However the effects of using the hyperdrive are often found to be unappealing. When the Hyperdrive operates, it transports the ship to hyperspace. Hyperspace is characterized as having five or six physical dimensions. While humans and other three dimensional objects are able to slip past, it often induces mental breakdowns in the sailors while they are in hyperspace. The rapidly changing shapes and geometry wreak havoc on the human mind; which is why some sailors have taken to calling hyperspace “Chaos”. Traveling through this region is often marked by time flowing differently. Much the math and study of hyperspace has been done by logs in the ship’s sensors but oftentimes much of the data is random and undecipherable.
The third and final transportation that goes above the speed of light is less of a discovered and more of a rediscovered mode of transportation. As archaeologists explored what appeared to be ancient ruins in the deep deserts of Arrakis, they stumbled upon ruins that predated even the civilizations of Old Earth. Within the tombs of what appeared to be a starport, were the ruins of various star fairing spacecraft. From here various groups were able to deduce how to create a vastly efficient FTL drive. Based on the Holtzmann effect discovered from the entombed space ships, the Holtzmann drive was created. However the Holtzmann effect is not entirely understood and is undergoing further studies.
With these new modes of transportation, life began to flourish. Humanity started to communicate with one another. Various planets once isolated were able to communicate between each other. A galactic setting for all the planets to congregate was set up. Thus arose the first galactic meeting. In this meeting we the formation of a galactic community, however it was never destined to be a peaceful one.

The Fifth Era: Rise of Galactic Empires

    We see that with the advent of faster than light travel, humanity began to communicate and form federations. With this we see the initial formation of galactic empires. With these comes the rise of a new era on the galactic stage.

The Formation of Federations

    We see the formation of various federations. We see the rise of the Landsraad, a federation made up of the descendants of the EFF. They were able to unite due to their close proximity together. Then we see the rise of various other groups such as the dark brotherhood, the pathway group, and the party. These groups joined together for greater security against other planets as many pioneers using FTL have discovered the ruins of planets and of humanity. These ruins while at their creation were highly radioactive from when they destroyed themselves, the radiation levels have dropped. These often symbolize the dangers faced by various planets in terms of extermination by themselves or other planets. While it also must be noted that most of these planets also do give us the most direct link with the culture of Old Earth.
    As we progress we see the formation of the Imperium of Man, which was led by Kirino. Many questioned how he was able to get off Old Earth as many of the ship manifest lists were closely tracked. Despite that, he placed himself as a emperor. The Imperium of Man would grow rather strong. This brought up many concerns considering the track record of Kirino’s from the days of Old Earth. While the descendants didn’t exactly know what he did, they understood what transpired on Old Earth. As such the groundwork for the fall of the Imperium of man was set.
    Another notable rise around the same era was the creation of CHOAM. Which is a merchant company formed up of what used to be six federations. The purpose was economically driven; as the initial CHOAM members laid the groundwork of the future unity of them working together. More federations wanted to join into this group as CHOAM grew further successful. Neutrality of CHOAM was formed to ensure that buyers can feel safe, but also to ensure that the sale of ships would continually flow.
    We also see the formation of SUKMADIK against the Imperium of Man. For fears of the ever expansion of the Imperium of Man across the universe and the destruction of the utter genocide of the worlds who were the descendants of the various nations back on Old earth. This was made up of CCCP, the Pathway group, and the Party. They all planned to ensure that the threat of Kirino and the ever aggressive presence the Imperium of Man was showing. Plots ran deep as everyone neared the edge of war. While SUKMADIK was not exactly well known when it was established, it did provide to be the first customer of CHOAM. However they would fail to provide the requirements to receive the ships. Thus they were foreclosed upon.


The War against the Imperium of Man

    During the foreclosure of the member federations of SUKMADIK, we see that Millennium decided to use their own “foreclosure” as a shady tactic to launch attacks on other federations. In cooperation with Imperium of Man, they hit The Amyntas Alliance and EC. This lead to the destruction of both federations, as they both could not recover from the loss. Tensions would continue to rise.
    Once the payments had been completed, SUKMADIK was free to wage war against Imperium of Man. War was declared along with some other federations who were not a part of SUKMADIK. The war was quite fairly brief due to superior tactics employed by SUKMADIK factions. This lead to the wholesale destruction of many worlds under the command of Imperium of Man. Then they proceeded to plunder the war torn and ravaged worlds. This was to ensure that they could not rise again to become another threat to the stability of the galaxy. Soon after, they Treaty of Holy Terra was formed; this treaty however was not accepted by Kirino. Various other groups would sign in the treaty, but it was made worthless as everyone left the Imperium of Man.
    After the war a new Imperium of Man was created to ensure that remnants of the original Imperium of Man could flock to. This would fail however as it never gained much ground. As such the man known as Kirino would once again disappear and fade from the public eye; many would question as to what happened to him to no avail. The stage was set for new powers to arise.
