  5. Matchup: C. Falcon vs Falco

  8.
  9. PROS:
  10. •Good gimps - Falcon is excellent at gimping spacies with soft knee. Try to get as much mileage out of it as you can for clean and efficient kills.
  11. •Use of side b - Since Falcon in PM can recover with Side b, his recovery becomes 90% better. Using side b to grab the ledge and potentially spike opponents is big and can lead to some early and surprising kills. Keep making use of that in PM since Falcon has more recovery options.
  12. •Juggle game - Your juggle game was decent once you got the hit. There were a few sequences where you got some good Up Air strings on platforms. That's excellent with Falcon for racking up percent and potentially killing your opponent with a knee.
  13.
  14. CONS:
  15. •Better options off of grab - You tend to favor Downthrow to turnaround back air a lot. While the option is good off of a grab, there isn't really much you can get out of it at that low of a percent (0 to ~60-70). It's better to go for the tech read with the knee or do a tech chase and regrab them. Tech chasing opponents is free percent at the end of the day and it'll expose some habits out of your opponent with enough patience.
  16. •Not the best job with Lasers - Instead of playing a keep away game against the lasers. Think about weaving in and out with your dash dance on the lasers. Falcon's dash dance is good in neutral and Smash DIing away the lasers helps. The lasers aren't going to do anything to you other than rack up percent, so you want to play footsies with the Falco while he's shooting lasers. Get into the mindset of what is he going to do after he shoots the lasers, is he going to commit with an aerial, another laser, shine, grab, dash dance, and etc. There are so many possibilities that can happen out of this scenario. Work on baiting the Falco in and exposing their laser habits when they start lasering you.
  17. •Impatience off of the grab - You seemed very ancy when trying to set something up off of the grab. Remember to stay composed and patient when you grab and down/up throw your opponent. Read and react to their DI or tech and try to regrab/knee them. Getting ancy with hard reads like that can easily put you in a bad spot and there are much more rewarding options than that tbh.
  18. •Impatience at the ledge - Remember that you have ledge invincibility for a reason. Make use of that when you're at the ledge against your opponent. There is no shame in waiting out your opponent for a brief time. Gives you a small chance to refresh your thoughts and potentially kill your opponent's momentum. Small things like that can cause a big shift in a match.
  19. •Corner play - Kind of similar to staying at the ledge. There were a lot of times where you just rushed in to get back to center stage. Remember to be aware of where your opponent is on stage in those situations and try to counter their commitment or maneuver around their footsies. You got nailed by Falco Bair a few times for that reason. In those situations you can use running shield to disrupt the spacing of their moves and get a possible free grab out of the situation. So make use of running shield while in the corner.

  21. WHAT TO IMPROVE ON:
  22. •Staying patient
  23. •Using the ledge
  24. •Dealing with lasers
  25. •Less Bair off of grab
  26. •Downthrow/Upthrow tech chasing
  27. •Being more aware in the corner
  28. •Running shield
  29.
  30. You've got some good stuff going for you. Just flesh out these flaws and you should see strides of improvement soon. Hope this helps you out.
