[spoiler]I was born and grew up in Tacoma, Washington. While living there, after I finished high school, I was taken on as an apprentice electrical engineer because I thoroughly enjoy hands-on jobs. I attended college in Washington to achieve my Performing Engineering Operations certificate as well as my National Diploma in engineering.

When I was 25, I left the state and moved to Los Santos. I applied for a job within Kone Aggregates, one of the local suppliers of aggregates, cement and concrete. My job title was 'Electrical Engineer'. I was in charge of the upkeep and stability of the factory's electrical systems.

I believe that my experience working in an industrial environment will greatly benefit my work ethic. As my job was a maintenance role, I was always put under pressure and was thrown into stressful situations that had to be handled quickly and efficiently while remaining safe and following all of the company's legislations and procedures to ensure the systems were up and running, preventing the company losing thousands of money in terms of product.

Two weeks ago, I applied for a position on the San Andreas Sheriff's Department ride-along scheme. Upon being accepted, I went on numerous ride-alongs that lasted for multiple hours. While being on this scheme, I learnt a lot about how the department operates, why it operates in such a manner and what differentiates it from opposing agencies in terms of jurisdiction. I also got an insight into how the State Traffic Unit operated within the county as well as gaining information about other divisions such as the Investigations Unit and the Special Enforcement Bureau.[/spoiler]

[b]6.2.[/b] In 350 words or more, explain why should we consider you for a position as a Deputy Sheriff Generalist? What makes you stand out compared to other recruits?:
[spoiler]Unlike a lot of people who apply for positions with law enforcement, I have had previous life experience as well as on-the job experience.

Being 41, I have held numerous roles within companies and organisations. For example, my employment within Kone Aggregates as an electrical engineer where I was one of the engineers in charge of the maintenance of all the electrical systems within the factory. I have also had a recent work placement within the Los Santos Government as an engineer within the Bureau of Public Services, Public Utilities. While carrying out both of these jobs, I have had to work in a timely manner while ensuring that the job being carried out is done safely while abiding to all of the relevant regulations.

While in the Public Utilities, I have had the pleasure of working with and around the multi-cultural and diverse population of San Andreas while carrying out my assigned tasks. This means that I have the ability to adapt in numerous working environments while ensuring I am properly communicating with those around me.

Within the Public Utilities, a lot of large-scale operations are carried out in large teams. Each team has an assigned team leader while the others input their ideas into the team to try and locate the best possible solution. While being involved in multiple larger-scale operations, I have experience of working within a team, ensuring that everyone in that team has a say as well as showing my leadership skills while being a team leader. This is also partnered with the fact that I spent a lot of my time alone, carrying out smaller tasks such as road repairs, electrical maintenance or general building integrity checkups.

 I also had the opportunity of being able to assist at scenes where both the San Andreas Sheriff's Department and the Los Santos Police Department were present. By doing this, I was able to gain even more knowledge about how the departments operated which greatly fueled my motivation to join.

I actively commit to exercise routines, be it jogging or cycling. This helps me keep in shape while assisting in boosting my cardiovascular which is a key aspect of being a law enforcement officer - fitness.

I always enjoy looking for new methods to further develop my understanding and knowledge of a certain topic or concept. I actively contribute to group and team conversations to voice my opinion.[/spoiler][/list]
