  5. You awaken, drenched in sweat. You let loose a sigh of relief, realizing it was only a bad dream. However, you can't shake the feeling that someone... or someTHING... else is in the room with you. It seems as if noises are all around you, surrounding you, suffocating you. Against your better judgment, you decide it is time to investigate. Turn to page 4 to investigate.

  9. Just as quickly as the creature had turned and forcibly removed the flashlight from your hands, it lowers itself above your body. Suddenly, the flashlight clicks on, illuminating what appears to be a large gargoyle. As his glassy eyes glimmer in the darkness, he leaves you with some advice before he devours your organs: "Read the first word of each paragraph."

  13. Lost in the darkness, your hands wander wildly. Your fears escalate as you worry you'll end up finding something you don't want to find, something foreign. Suddenly, your hands grasp the edges of the cool metal of the flashlight. "A-ha!" you say, rising to our feet. You see a shadow nearby. Creeping towards it, you raise the flashlight over your head, ready to strike. Turn to page 5 to strike the creature moving in the shadows.

  17. The darkness swells, your footsteps echoing loudly, circling you. You grasp a flashlight, clicking it on, but it appears the batteries are dead. You drop the flashlight to the floor with a loud CLUD, immediately realizing you should have saved it for a weapon. You decide to lower yourself to the floor to find the blunt flashlight. Turn to page 3 to search for the flashlight.

  21. "Game over!" you yell, swinging the flashlight down on the creature. It turns wildly, smacking the flashlight from your hands. You stumble backwards in the darkness, attempting to run, but slip on the very flashlight that just slipped from your hands. Turn to page 2 to reach the conclusion.
