Star vs The Forces of Evil: Untold History

	It was the 37th of Grobnark, something Marco was almost certain from an Elder Scroll game. In actuality, it was the anniversary of the day Mewnians arrived at the land that would one day be Star's kingdom and massacred the indigenous people; at least that's what it looked like to Marco. Star had glossed over much of the important parts in her pop-up book, but Marco knew there was no denying that it sounded very similar to what happened in America when pilgrims first established colonies, it even included corn.


Re-enactments of the battle on Mewni were nothing new. This, however, would be Stars first on Earth, she was hoping for a large turnout but in the end settled for less then a dozen people. Star was just happy she didn't have to worry about who was going to play the role of the Mewni knight's general. According to Mewni history books, the Generals of the Butterfly kingdom's military were always smart, strategical, brave, deadly and above all swore their undying loyalty to the Queen. The General who lead the knights into battle during the actual event was no exception and Star knew there was only one guy she wanted in that role; her bestie Marco Diaz.


However, there was one minor detail which she wasn't sure he'd be comfortable with. For you see after the Mewnian victory, the unwed Queen declared her love for her general and married him giving birth to a daughter a few months later. Since then it was not unheard off for female members of royalty to fall in love with the knights they command seeing as how they spend so much time together in their day to day lives. Star thinks its so sweet that the most person qualified for the role is the person she spends the most time with as well; but at the same time knows Marco wouldn't want to do the whole thing. It wouldn't be personal personal but his friends are in attendance and these things tend to end up online somehow and might be seen as awkward or embarrassing. Doesn't help either that they'd have to kiss and even though Star is surprisingly OK with that in context she won't put Marco through it, even if it does mean he doesn't have to wear a royal wedding suit, she always thought he'd look handsome in one.


The re-enactment battle went off without a hitch...more or less. Star had begun to understand what Marco had told her earlier, maybe just maybe her ancestors weren't all as righteous as she thought they were. Things got a little weird when one of Ludo's real minions crashed the party, but he didn't do anything, Star was about to blast him too, but somehow it just felt like bullying a small child. In the evening, they all gathered around the kitchen table to have Mewnipendence Day feast, which consisted entirely of corn and corn-related products. Janna has been reading Star's pop-up book for a while, guess she too wanted to learn more about her people like Marco had. As she came to the last few pages she noticed something, it appeared the last two pages were glued together by the edges, very deliberately.  She looked around and everyone was busy eating to notice her especially Star, who seemed to be looking out the window at something; so she carefully unglued the pages in the book and read what it said, instantly a huge grin formed on her face...oh this was going to be fun she thought.

"I can't take this anymore I'll be back guys I'm gonna shower really quick I still have grease or whatever this is on me from that armor that Star conjured up." Marco declared and headed up stairs.

Perfect, Janna thought as she  reveled in her good fortune If there was a god he liked Janna's idea of fun. She took Stars book and walked over to her.

"Soo Star, were waiting for the big proposal and wedding scene, shouldn't you be ready?" Janna said trying to hold back her evil grin.

"What are you talking about Janna? There is no such thing in a Mewnipendence Day re-enactment." Star replied trying hard not to look suspicious.

"Oh I guess you never knew, but your book had its last two pages glued together, here I unglued them for you," Janna said handing Star her new unglued book.

"Well you uh look at that, it's also a love story how...how sweet," Star said beginning to sweat.

"Mhmm, I almost didn't notice either I can't wait to see Marco propose and carry you off, I'll make sure to put the whole thing on YouTube so you guys never forget". Janna was smiling uncontrollably as she said that.

"Janna, I think we've done enough for now, we should just eat-" but Janna caught her off before she could finish, she held out the pop-up book to the last page showing the Queen on her balcony with the Mewni general being cheered on by a crowd. After getting everyone's attention, she explained what it was, leaving a look of interest on most people's faces. Not Star though she just face palmed hard, she knew what was coming.

"So...who wants to see a wedding?" Janna shouted to rile up the crowd.

"Wedding, wedding, wedding, wedding" Janna began chanting pumping her fist into the air.

Wasn't long before everyone at the table was chanting the same thing, Marco had returned from his shower as people were chanting, he shrugged and joined in.

"Yeah, wedding, wedding, wedding, wedding" chanted Marco. A few seconds later everyone stopped, Marco walked over to Star.

"Pssst hey Star whats going on? I'm just chanting to feel included", whispered Marco into her ear.

At this point Marco realized everyone was staring at him...or Star...or both. He got that sinking feeling in his stomach that something bad was going to happen. He looked behind him, but there was no one there. "Uh oh," Marco thought.

Star just blushed and giggled nervously. "S-s...oh boy" Star muttered. "Say hello to your bride" Star waved her arms at him, "ta-da" she quietly shouted.

At that moment, Marco realized what was going on.

"Oh fuck me" he managed to spat out before his face went pale. Star gave him a mean look like she took offense, but Marco didn't notice.

Janna nudged Marco's ribs with her elbow. "Accroding to this book she has to do exactly that" she said softly,still with that shit eating grin on her face.

Marco has never met a more evil girl in his life.


It wasn't long before everyone was outside sitting on benches staring up at Star on her balcony waiting for the show to begin. Star had zapped a royal suit on him, it was blue like her dress he almost looked like a younger version of her father...and yet still found him handsome, Star doesn't even want to think about what that means. Marco and Star were reading a script Janna had written surprisngly quick but decided to not use any of it.

"Wow she is vulgar" Star mumbled in disgust. She read a line about what Marco would do to her on their wedding night, "And uh very, very descriptive". Star re-read the scene...she started to think it wasn't that badly written actually.

"Yeah, I think StarFan wrote that part I saw her with Janna earlier". Marco said with a shiver.

"Listen Star I had fun today, honest even walking around in that suit of armor was cool...which by the way if yould summon a giant sea monster and maybe add some missiles to it instead of an axe, uhm  you know what nevermind save that one for my birthday" Marco said obviously getting off topic. "Anyways I don't want to do this, do we even have to? its not like you knew"

"Yeah about that I sorta did, but BUT I didn't want to put you in this position so I tried to cover up the ending"  Star coughed awkwardly to clear her throat, "Your still the best person I know for the job, real or re-enactment so i did what I had to do to make sure you'd say yes to being my general".


Just great, now Marco felt bad for reacting like such a jerk earlier.

"Aww, thanks Star not every day I'm told I'm good enough to lead an army...ok then lets finish this show m'lady" Marco said pretending to tip a fedora much to Star's amusement.

Marco looked back at the book at the picture of the general kissing Stars ancestor.

"Just...promise me things won't be wierd afterwards...oh and this is technically the first time I've kissed a girl so don't expect much"

Marco let the fact sink in that his first kiss is going to be to his best friend as part of a magical play, funny how unfair life can be.
"Don't worry if Jackie asks you are an incredible kisser" Star replied with a wink.

Before the ceremony started, Marco confiscated all of Janna's phones to make sure none of this ended up online much to her dismay. She pulled the last one out from her under her shirt, Marco just told her to toss it on the ground where he stepped on it with his suit of armor. He had to give her credit though, but Marco was always prepared.

The ceremony began, Marco walked up to Star in armor and took of his helmet off. Since they weren't using Janna's and StarFans R-rated script they had to improvise their lines. He jumped out of his suit and summersaulted onto Stars balcony, and took Stars hand and got on one knee.

"Oh...my fair queen uhm I come to you this fair day after we united together when mewnians declared in one voice we will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! We're going to survive!"

Ferg leaned over to Alphonso, "Wait I'm not sure but Isn't that the speech from-"

"Today, we celebrate our Mewnindependence Day!" Marco continued from the balcony.

"Yup" Alphonso replied.

Star had the reflection of herts in her eyes, Marco has such a way with speeches.

"Oh fearless knight, how you inspire uh..me to achieve great things to reach for the stars and stuff" Star grimaced at her words, if only she was as good at improvising as Marco.

"My queen, When the road looks rough ahead and you're miles and miles from your nice warm bed you just remember what your old pal said...you've got a friend in me oh you got a friend in me" Marco continued and kissed Stars hand, thank god she's never seen Toy Story.

Star fought back tears, that was beautiful.

"Yes and you in me my knight, how I wish we may share in this moment forever" Star said trying to sound dramatic.

"Then, my queen...no my love in  your bed many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just one cahnce, to come back here as a young women and tell our enemies that they may take our lives but they will never take our freedom!"

Star looked on, confused but inspired...but mostly confused.

"Yes Yes uh my knight I will marry you...right...thats what your asking?' Star mumbled.

Oh thank god Marco was running out of movies to misquote.

"Yes, yes that is indeed what I was asking" Marco wiped some sweat from his brow.

He stood up while holding her hand still, took a deep breath and kissed her on the lips, after a few seconds he tried to let go but he swore Star just kissed him harder, on her back her wings fluttered so fast she almost got lifted off the ground. Finally they let go, both were blushing hard. Marco cleared his throat and hopped back into suit of armor, Star jumped on its shoulder and she wrapped her arms around him.

"Lets see where this road leads us my husband" Star said hugging General Marco.

"Roads? where were going we don't need roads" Marco declared. Fuck it whats one more?

Marco headed down the dirt road out of the forest Star had conjured up as people clapped and cheered from below, except janna the whole thing wasn't as funny as she thought it be. Ms. Skullnik had even started to cry, "that was the most romantic thing I've ever heard" she mumbled between sobs.

From the side in the tree's Marco's parents looked on clearly impressed.

"Thats my boy, he could be a great actor if he wanted to" Mr. Diaz mused.

Marco's mother on the other hand was busy with her phone.

"Oh my god that was so adorable, I can't wait to share the video on the Echo Creek facebook page, everyone is gonna see how cute their little show was I can't believe we almost missed it"

"Good thing Janna told us, AND to reminded you to bring something to record with, isnt she so thoughtful" Mr. Diaz said looking over the recorded video. "aww heres when they kiss"


Satan himself wouldn't dare cross Janna.
