  5.
  6. +Je Suis Ce Que Je Suis __ The first thing: Suspicions are not aroused in the *trusting* just so long as the *context* is "real world" (i.e., it is supposed to be real life and not a prank) and nothing about a "hyper realistic costume" suggests or reveals fakery (else it wouldn't be hyper realistic). And - just so long as nothing performed in the hyper realistic costume is impossible (or too unlikely) to occur in nature ("for real").
  7.
  8. The second thing: In the context of something being "real world" - and without any "clues" that it's just an act - the audience will perceive a staged performance in a "hyper realistic costume" as the real thing. If the bear is fake - *the audience will see a real bear* - _just like an optical illusion._
  9.
  10. Not only that - what those in the audience see as real will then go into their mind - _and into their memory_ - as a "real" experience (in this example - of a bear) which informs them on how "real bears" look and behave. It unavoidably influences their expectations with regard to future bears (even though it was a fake).
  11.
  12. To appreciate the point I am making about this *genre* of "street magic" - think of movies and the nightly news. One is obviously fake (like obviously fake costumes) whereas the other is supposed to be completely real (like a hyper realistic costume).
  13.
  14. (We can receive "facts" from movies - but the "understanding" is that we are not supposed to be shown "fiction" in the nightly news. This _perceived_ separation is important for the lie system.)
  15.
  16. Movies contain *many* "clues" that they're fake ("not real" / "make believe") such as impossible camera angles, soundtracks, title credits, special effects, impossible noises, impossible actions, etc. That is to say: *the audience instantly recognises it isn't real.*
  17.
  18. This recognition is instant! You don't walk into a room with a television on and suddenly panic that world war 3 has broken out because you hear gunshots, bombing and screaming. The reason is because we're presented with *many* "clues" that *instantly* notify us that something is fake.
  19.
  20. It still has an influence on the audience but not quite like "real life".
  21.
  22. Now - suppose you were to *remove* all of those usual "television cues and clues" and record an incident using a "potato cam" (i.e., low resolution and shaky) and then packaged it as amateur footage of a "real terror event" on the nightly news. (It could be for any news report, though.)
  23.
  24. Suddenly the audience will perceive a "staged event" as perfectly real. The audience will see a real "terror attack" _just like an optical illusion._ It will be real to them.
  25.
  26. Not only that - what they see will go into their mind - _and memory_ - as a "real" experience of a "terror attack" which informs them on how "terror attacks" look and play out. This unavoidably influences their expectations for the next terror attack. And so forth.
  27.
  28. Because the lie system does not make mistakes (you won't see an "injured victim" of a _staged_ attack suddenly stand up and do a jig for the camera) it's only possible to doubt events on the nightly news when you have lost trust in the story tellers (or you are "paranoid") or because you have lost touch with reality (what you see on the news seems impossible or too unlikely to be real).
  29.
  30. I could go on and on (and usually I do) but I'll leave it there!
  31.
