  4. Some deaf children are educated in specialist schools for the deaf; other deaf children are educated in "mainstream schools" that serve the general population. In many countries these mainstream schools provide special support for children with special educational needs, including deaf children. Deaf parents can often choose which schools they send their children to.
  5. Some deaf people consider deafness an identity and not a disability.

  8. This House would require deaf parents to send their children (whether deaf or hearing) to mainstream schools for their primary and secondary education.
