  1. All participants must be part of the Blockland Smash Bros steam group. http://steamcommunity.com/groups/blsmash. If you are not you will be disqualified without warning. The tournament will be coordinated in the steam group chat.

  20. Set Procedure
  21. 1. Players select their characters
  22. 2. Use Stage Striking to determine the first stage
  23. 3. The players play the first match of the set
  24. 4. Winning player of the preceding match bans a stage/stages
  25. 5. The losing player of the preceding match picks a stage for the next
  26. match*
  27. 6. Both players may change characters
  28. 7. The next match is played.
  29. 8. Repeat Steps 4 through 8 for all subsequent matches until the set is
  30. complete.

  33. Additional Rules
  34. ● Stage Selection Clause: Any stage may be played on if both players agree to it.
  35. Players may NOT agree to change the number of matches to be played.
  36. ● Port Priority: If an agreement cannot be made as to who gets what port, the
  37. players may enact a best of 1 game of Rock Paper Scissors or Game & Watch
  38. Judgment (the player who gets the higher number
  39. ● Time Outs / Ties: The winner of a match that goes to time (time out) will be
  40. determined by stocks and percentage. When the timer hits 0:00 player with the
  41. higher stock count is the winner. If both players are tied in stocks the player with
  42. the lower percentage is the winner. In the event of a percentage tie, or a match in
  43. which both players lost their last stock simultaneously, a 1 stock tiebreaker will
  44. be played with time limit equal to the regular time limit divided by the regular
  45. number of stocks, rounded up. Sudden Death is not to be played at all, and will
  46. not count.
  47. ● If both players claim to have won a match and neither has saved a replay of the match results, the match will be redone with a neutral third party as a spectator. If a replay or other form of evidence was saved and presented, the player who lost the questioned match is disqualified from the tournament.

  49. ● If a game is accidentally started with the wrong settings and one player loses a stock before the error is noticed the game will count as official unless both players agree to remake it.

  51. ● If a player does not show up to a match within 10 minutes of the scheduled time with no excuse the player loses the match.

  53. ● If a player does not show up to their first match within 10 minutes of the scheduled time with no excuse the player is disqualified.

  55. ● If asked, players must disclose character and custom move choices. A player can request that both players tell a neutral source what character they will pick before disclosing information.

  81. Additional Stage Selection Rules
  82. ● Stage Striking: The player with port priority strikes one stage from the
  83. Starter Stage list. Then the other player strikes one stage and the
  84. remaining stage is used for the first match.
  85. ● Stage Clause: A player/team may not pick any stage they previously won
  86. on during the set.

  89. previous game may ban 2 stages from either the Starter or Counterpick
  90. lists.
