[21:39]	`GM	[The sound of the house's heating system and a nigh-inperceptible ticking clock, amongst other brain-filling thoughts, has one Ms. Dorothy unable to sleep.]
[21:40]	`GM	[There is a loud clatter of some kind coming from the kitchen.]
[21:49]	Karan	Karan rouses herself from sleep and rolls off of her air matress, quickly bringing several blades to her side. She glances back towards Jenna's bed, seeing if she's awake.
[21:51]	`GM	[Jenna is fast asleep; regular breathing can be heard from the queen bed above.]
[21:53]	Tyro	Tyro, in another room, stays lying where she is without a change in her breathing, but her eyes snap open.
[21:53]	Karan	Karan quickly shakes her awake, keeping several swords pointed at the door. "Big sis: we may have company."
[21:54]	`GM	Jenna:  "Nmmmm...  whuh...?"
[21:55]	Agamedes	"Nhgnn... candy apples....assholes." She tosses and turns, more comfortable sleeping on the living room sofa than an actual bed if anything. "Candy Corn on the zz... cob too... great."
[21:55]	`GM	[Jenna makes vaguely-awake noises, but was clearly sleeping hard moments before.]
[21:56]	Karan	"We may have company in the kitchen. I'm checking it. Get ready in case it's trouble."
[21:57]	`GM	[Retcon: Medes is in the same room as Dorothy]
[21:57]	`GM	Jenna:  "Uhhh...?"
[21:59]	Karan	The bodyguard stalks towards the door, opening it barely and peeking through.
[22:03]	`GM	[The door opens with nary a sound to be heard.  The short hallway to the living room is empty, though the moonlight through the living room's large bay window casts odd shadows in the corners.

[22:04]	Karan	Karan creeps closer, silent and ready for a fight.
[22:05]	Tyro	Tyro controls her breathing further, listening and unmoving.
[22:08]	Agamedes	tries to hug a Dorothy but then her empty hands reminds her that they were sleeping in seperate beds still. "Suck...zzz pen.....guins."
[22:10]	`GM	[The living room is likewise empty as Karan moves towards the kitchen.  She can hear the rattling of a loose screw in the ductwork as the furnace continues to blow air through the vents.]

[22:20]	Karan	Karan continues to focus on the kitchen, only casting quick glances to check other paths.
[22:22]	Karan	Short swords hang in the air around her, scattering the low light while they watch every path.
[22:23]	Karan	. o O ( Should've had the night blades ready... )
[22:24]	`GM	[In Agamedes' room, Dorothy is not in her bed; the covers are messed up like someone was just sleeping in it.]
[22:25]	Agamedes	"More Cop Porn....plese.. with butter.. on all of them."
[22:30]	Karan	Karan continues to approach the kitchen, utterly silent.
[22:35]	Karan	[=-= *continues into the kitchen]
[22:37]	`GM	[In the small kitchen, a cupboard is open, and Dorothy crouches on the ground clutching a thick plastic cup for dear life, biting her lip.]
[22:38]	`GM	[She is turned in such a way that she doesn't seem to have line of sight to Karan.]
[22:40]	Karan	Karan drops the swords to her side, no longer "armed" and pointed outwards.
[22:40]	Karan	. o O ( Whew... )
[22:41]	Karan	"... Hey there. Are you OK?"
[22:41]	`GM	[Dorothy jerks her head around like crazy, clearly high-strung.  When she sees it's just Karan, she relaxes.]
[22:42]	`GM	Dorothy:  "...I dropped the cup.  I was hoping it sounded quieter from the bedrooms..."
[22:43]	`GM	[The high-schooler stands back up.]
[22:43]	`GM	Dorothy:  "Is everything okay?"
[22:44]	Karan	Karan approaches and sits beside her.
[22:44]	Karan	"Yeah; just startled me is all."
[22:44]	Karan	She purposefully speaks just loud enough to potentially be heard by the others.
[22:46]	`GM	[Dorothy proceeds to do what she actually came to the kitchen to do, and opens the refrigerator for a cup of milk.]
[22:46]	`GM	Dorothy:  "S-Sorry.  I bet you girls don't make mistakes like that; life and death stuff or whatever, right?"
[22:47]	Karan	"Nah, plenty of times. See?"
[22:50]	Karan	She holds out one of her arms, where a thin sliver of lighter skin stretches from her elbow to her wrist.
[22:51]	Karan	"Mistakes happen, but thankfully none have had us kick the bucket so far."
[22:51]	Tyro	Tyro only hears muffled voices. She tenses up in case they are raised, but doesn't move.
[22:52]	`GM	Dorothy:  "Well, no, yeah, but I mean, you probably didn't cut because you dropped a cup, is what I meant..."
[22:52]	`GM	[=-= *didn't get cut]
[22:55]	`GM	[Dorothy takes a drink of milk.]
[22:55]	`GM	Dorothy:  "...Does drinking milk actually help you sleep?  I just sort of do it because that's what they say."
[22:57]	Karan	"Sometimes. It helps to unwind like this sometimes, anyway."
[22:57]	Agamedes	"Gah... all of you shut up.." Said the girl from the bedroom still as she finally got up and went torward the source of the noise. "Oi, you... quietiest, or the Skifree Yeti will eat you." She then in a half-asleep daze attempts to use her chains to grab something from the fridge.
[23:00]	Karan	"Hey Medes," Karan sighs.
[23:00]	Agamedes	Medes ends up opening the door of the fridge but ultimately ends up failing to grab anything because who the fuck uses their skills to do something so mundane. The girl then promptly gives up and falls over, top body into the kitchen and falling asleep once more and snoring loudly.
[23:01]	`GM	[Dorothy winces at the bumbling sounds of Agamedes, who she thinks deserves to get eaten by a yeti herself.]
[23:01]	Karan	Karan simply winces.
[23:04]	Agamedes	"Press F to skii fa---oh nnoooo... yeti done ate your baby. Thanks Obama."
[23:05]	`GM	[Dorothy whispers to Karan.]
[23:05]	`GM	Dorothy:  {"How has she not kicked the bucket yet?  I mean seriously?"}
[23:06]	Karan	"Durability?" Karan whispers.
[23:08]	Agamedes	Smiling, the girl cuddles with the floor as if there was someone there. "Yay... hug buddies."
[23:08]	`GM	[The doorbell rings.]
[23:09]	Karan	Karan snaps to alert again, blades by her side. She rises.
[23:09]	Karan	"No one rings the doorbell this early...?"
[23:10]	`GM	[Only a few seconds after the ringing of the doorbell, the kitchen is flooded with a blinding light!]
[23:13]	`GM	Dorothy:  "Owwwhat-the-heck?!"
[23:13]	Karan	Karan crouches towards the floor, trying to shield her eyes. "What!?"
[23:13]	Agamedes	"MMnn..!.. is it morning already?" She tries to open her eyes to be greeted with a blinding light and the annoying ring of the doorbell. THEY HAD A DOORBELL!? AMAZING.
[23:15]	`GM	[The three girls in the kitchen are momentarily blinded by the light, whatever it is, though light makes no noise, and there is the definite noise of a door being yanked open and footsteps coming up the entryway.]
[23:16]	Tyro	Tyro, hearing the doorbell, leaps out of bed, landing on her feet. She opens the door to the room and slowly moves towards the kitchen, fists raised.
[23:16]	`GM	[Dorothy drops her milk on the floor, shocked and rubbing her eyes.]
[23:21]	`GM	[To Tyro, the night is as dark as ever; it seems that the blinding lights have already stopped.]
[23:23]	Agamedes	"HGnnn?...oh boy." Her slumber was rudely awoken and know this was gonna be trouble. So without moving she raised her voice letting out a very loud, almost ear piercing scream. "WE GOT VISITORS! WE GOT GAME! WE DON'T HAVE NO JUNGLE BUT WELCOME ANYWAY! SAY HI VILLANS!"  Its supposed to bhe some codeword but she fucked up somewhere or forgot the rest of the dialogue. Whatever.
[23:24]	`GM	[Two figures enter the kitchen door, dressed in some kind of slim black tactical suits, and masks that obscure all features of their heads, even hair.  Both wear small pairs of high-tech goggles; the larger one is wearing a short-brimmed black cap.]
[23:24]	`GM	[The capped one sends a stiff kick towards Agamedes' big mouth.]
[23:25]	Tyro	Tyro hears Medes' scream loud and clear and breaks into a run, charging towards the kitchen and ready to lash out.
[23:25]	`GM	[The non-capped figure flicks a throwing knife towards Karan.]

[23:30]	Karan	Karan quickly deflects the knife with one of her swords.
[23:31]	Agamedes	Without so much as a beat, Medes blocks it easily and turns her head upwards to meet her assailant. "That's not nice... you here for cake and candles? Too bad, we ate them all already. No need to attack people."

[23:34]	`GM	[Medes' attacker doesn't miss a beat and drops the knee of the other leg towards Medes' chest.]
[23:38]	Agamedes	A loud grunt was all that was heard from Medes as her chains reflexively lashes back at whoever that assailant was. "Oh hey, chain kneejerk reaction is back... ack.. muust.. ow.. hurt."
[23:40]	Karan	Karan tries to kick back!
[23:41]	`GM	[The knife-thrower grabs Karan's kick with the air of a practiced martial-artist and pushes the leg back.]
[23:43]	`GM	[Grabbing for a belt holster, the enemy throws a knife with each hand, one at Karan, the other at Dorothy!]
[23:43]	`GM	[The capped assailant is putting weight down on Agamedes, trying to keep her subdued.]
[23:46]	Karan	roll 3d6 ath
[23:46]	Karan	[=-=  *so, so sorry. -_-]
[23:50]	Karan	Karan dives to push Dorothy out of the way, but only takes a knife to her side!
[23:52]	Tyro	Tyro barges through the door and spins on a heel, planting her feet on the ground and unleashing a shockwave from her left hand towards the nearest target.
[23:55]	Agamedes	Medes grabs the girls foot and turns around to face upward to her now on her back. "Oh hi, nice to meet you stranger who's probably trying to kill us and will fail and scamper off soon enough." Her grip on the girls foot was rather forceful for a girl of her age.

[00:00]	`GM	[The capped assailant is knocked quite off balance from Tyro's shocking punch, combined with Agamedes' crushing grip on the boot.  Up close, Medes and Tyro can see that this attacker has some kind of specialized gloves, elbow pads, and knee pads, designed for close combat.]
[00:01]	Karan	Karan dives for Dorothy, barely evading both knives!
[00:02]	Agamedes	"Ohhh.... special class or something too! Not bad.. not bad at all. So you're not all childs play." She grins wide, of course in pain from the kick and crushing from just moments ago. Though it seems hardly painful someone like her. " Oh hi Tyrone, I guess you didn't run after all."
[00:03]	`GM	[=-= Karan is going to get hit by at least one knife, but will protect Dorothy for a knife.  Fix this in post.]
[00:04]	`GM	[Dorothy shrieks as Karan dives for her, still partially blinded by the flash and barely even able to understand that a knife was being thrown at her.]
[00:04]	`GM	Dorothy:  "KARAN!"
[00:05]	`GM	[The knife that was meant for Dorothy burrows deep into Karan's side instead, thrown by a surprisingly stiff arm.]
[00:06]	Karan	Karan winces in pain, but bears through it.
[00:07]	`GM	[Seeing a comrade in dire straits, Karan's opponent brings out a thick combat blade and goes for a gut stab on Tyro.]
[00:09]	`GM	[Medes' opponent coughs and grunts from the combined attacks.  If there was any doubt before, the sounds out of that opponent are clearly female.]
[00:13]	`GM	Dorothy:  "Karan, d-don't!  I'm worthless, protect yourself!"
[00:14]	Agamedes	"Oh hi clearly male with a feminine voice you sound like one of those ancient landwhales on some shitty blogging site with a bird." She continues to keep her grips tight on the girls foot.
[00:22]	`GM	[The clearly male with a feminine voice is not provoked.]
[00:22]	Karan	"No you're not!" Karan roars out and kicks towards the knife-wielder, attempting to knock them over.
[00:24]	Tyro	Tyro moves faster than her opponent can see, striking her attacker in the arm to knock the knife away from her and sending shockwaves through the assailant's body.
[00:26]	`GM	[The combined efforts of Tyro and Karan's forces are enough to bring the knifer down to the ground, who also make a feminine grunt upon colliding with the floor.]
[00:31]	Agamedes	Using her chains, she tries to wrap it up around the girls leg but it was sloppy and very much noticeable and removeable at this point. Probably ripe for a kick to the face to be honest.
[00:33]	`GM	[The chains are quite reversible; planting one foot squarely on the ground, the enemy backflips out of the chains over to the other side of the kitchen.]
[00:35]	Agamedes	"Jokes on you, you're not on me anymore~" She grins gettting up, though having a slight problem after getting her chest stomped on. Girl can take a beating, I'll give her that.
[00:36]	Karan	Meanwhile, Karan spins into a crouch and pinwheels her blades into a helicopter slice!
[00:38]	`GM	[The knife woman on the floor turns her featureless goggled face just in time to see the blades swing, and attempts to roll past them, failing and taking several slashes across the back.  Seems that these enemies bleed just like any other human.]
[00:38]	`GM	[The doorbell rings again.]
[00:39]	Agamedes	"Tell me.. do you bleed? Why of course you do!.. damn.. those delivery boys sure want those tips." She turns her head torward the doorbell for some reason and not keeping her eyes on the assailants.
[00:42]	Karan	Karan yells, injury adding to anger. "The fuck's up with that doorbell!?"
[00:43]	`GM	[The rolling knife woman somehow finds a pistol in the middle of all that rolling and begins firing wildly as the other one starts running for the door!]
[00:45]	`GM	[Of course, any consummate professional of 2035 would be using an internally-silenced pistol.  Slimmer and far more accurate than those barbaric early-21st century screw-on things.  How did they ever manage?]
[00:49]	Karan	Karan continues rolling to evade, propping herself up with her elbows to keep the knife from digging in further!
[00:50]	Agamedes	She focuses her mind for a moment to grabn the end of her medium sized chains to throw at the one running for the door in hopes it'd get her.
[00:56]	`GM	[As the capped intruder turns slightly to open the door, she whips back her hand and punches Medes' chains back into her face!]
[00:56]	`GM	[Somehow, this brilliant plan seems to leave the punch-kicker the worse for wear in the exchange.]
[00:57]	Agamedes	The chains would do its fair share of the latter end of the chain whipping back at the girl right in the chest knocking the wind out of her and probably cracking a rib or three too before it flies back and hits Medes in the face, probably shattering her nose.
[00:57]	Agamedes	"No one punches me and gets away freely.. urgh.. oh.. it broke this time. Again."
[00:58]	`GM	[Having spent her short clip, the knife-wielder dashes for the door as well.  As if on cue, the blinding flash of light returns to the kitchen.]
