Old and new.

She looked so familiar. Yet different. He couldn't help but stare.

"What are you staring at, creep?" Still the same. But how much had changed.

"Don't talk to your commander like that." Targos told Rupiri calmly.

It was ok, he had changed too. He no longer felt pain, no longer felt fear. Sometimes he no longer felt. He kept staring into her eyes. He didn't know what for. This was a literal blast from the past for him. Maybe he was hoping to feel the same thing he felt for the old girl.

"Heh, you don't look much like a commander, old man." The younger woman sneered out.

"And you're nothing but a disrespectful brat who doesn't know any better." he rebutted. At one point he might have sneered back, lashed out more. But he couldn't bring himself to do it.

"I'm gonna kick your ass if you keep talking to me like that." She growled.

"You can try." he told her.

He watched as she tensed and launched herself at him. Maybe she really thought he was a pushover. Maybe she was overconfident.

The punch she landed on his chest at one time would have had him doubling over in agony. Not this time, not anymore. Hew drew his arm back and slugged her, right in the nose, he felt more than heard it break.

"Gah!" She staggered back a few steps, surprised before recovering.

"What the fuck! I felt your ribs shatter, you shouldn't be able to move!" He could tell she was enraged.

"Oh they're broken alright. But I don't feel it. I don't feel pain anymore." he weezed, standing in the same position he'd been in when he encountered her. Arms at his side in a relaxed manner.

"I'm going to fucking break you.." She seethed at him.

That actually got a small smile out of him. Maybe she was the same.
