Guide for chefs.

The first things to consider when cooking are, how to cook, and what to cook.

How to: Most dish recipes are made using table crafting, that is by placing your ingredients on a table and click & drag from the table (or from any ingredient on it) onto yourself to open a crafting window which lists all recipes that can be done with the ingredients. If one of the ingredients is a liquid, you can have the liquid in any kind of container on the table. Simply click any recipe to start crafting it. You do not need to have the exact amounts of ingredients or only those on your table. As long as you have at least the minimum amount of each needed ingredients you can craft it.

But some ingredients need to be prepared first, and that's the point of your other tools.

-Microwave: Only minor recipes will end here, but most important ingredients pass through here, you can stack up to 10 different items, but be careful not to put inside something you cannot cook, or you'll burn everything, and even dirty or break the microwave.

-Rolling pin: Used to flatten doughs, useful for pizzas, pies, pastries, and buns.

-Knife: Uses include cutting Cheese, cakes, breads, meat slabs, and trespassers.

-Processor: A few ingredients can be put here, as with the microwave, most ingredients aren't a final result, unlike the microwave, time for processing goes up the more items you put in.

-Tray: Unless you don't mind picking tons of eggs, wheat and cutlets one by one, the tray will help you a lot. Just remember that not all your dishes will fit on the tray.

Getting started:

So you're the chef, Most likely you're alone in the kitchen, and so you have two different situations to work with, either there are people in hydroponics, or you're alone.

ALONE:
-More often than not you'll be like this in a low pop round, you can still acquire enough things to feed the crew many times over, and you'll be able to make different things than burger.

First of all, grab ingredients outside the kitchen, the garden near arrivals have a bit of fruit, the cocoa and the orange are specially useful.
There is a birthday hat in the bar, that'll do too, with that, go back to the kitchen.
Try to avoid low return recipes, like a pie, or a burger, instead try cakes and breads, that give four rations with a single recipe.
The first thing you can do is milking Pete, that should give you enough milk to make one cheese, or almost, try to avoid killing Pete, at least at the beginning. Killing Pun Pun is usually faster, but be careful not to anger the Barman (Or let him see you do the deed).
Grab the large beaker, and with it make three cheeses, that should be enough for most rounds.
With 90 flour you can make six breads or cakes, for variation purposes, you should have a mix of both. Add 60 flour in the beaker, then 10 of sugar, then 30 of soy milk (Eggs work too, but you'll have more uses for eggs that soy milk), and finally two servings of water in the beaker, that will produce two doughs and two cake batter, add again 30 flout, and create another cake batter and another dough.
Grind the cocoa in the grinder, then add to the beaker 15 soy milk and 15 sugar, that should produce 7 chocolate bars, finally cut some slabs into cutlets, and add all but two pieces of meat into the microwave, keep two slabs for the processor, cook a box of eggs.
Grab three bowls, add to each 10 units of rice and water, cook the ricebowl in the microwave.

-Making the dishes:
With the chocolate bars, the birthday hat and the cheese you can make three different cakes, one also has sprinkles, what is usually valued by security.
Two of the breads can be used fast and easy to make Tofubread, meatbread or cheesebread, choose the one you like. To get more results, make toasts out of the third bread.
Turn the cooked eggs into fried eggs, with the faggots make a sausage, and a Scottish egg. With the rest of the meat make eggs Benedict.
Depending on how much sugar and cutlets you have, you can make more rice with pork or rice pudding.
With the rest, you can make a choco orange, multiple chocolate bunnies, Omelets and fried eggs.
If after this you still feel unsatisfied about the results, you can make some ice cream cones.

-After cleaning the kitchen.
With a welding tool and a wrench you can remove the table connecting the kitchen to hydroponics and have an easier access, at this point, since the crew will be fed without issue, you can grow whatever you like.
If you grind snacks from the machines you can acquire sugar or chocolate, but the returns are low, so this process takes a while.
Also, you should nag science to help you improve your machines, for greater results.
Cargo can get you food grates, with enough to keep going a little more, but you should ask in advance, so you get the crate when you need it.
Raiding the morgue is easy and relatively safe, but robotics tends to have forgotten bodies, and those are much safer, since no one will mind if you gib those.

WITH BOTANICS:
-High pop rounds may have helpful botanists, willing to provide you, in that case, while you can stick to the guide above, you can also make much more interesting recipes, in this case you won't have to worry about running out of basic ingredients.
All the same remember to keep the request of wheat high, and remind them to make at the very least a bit of sugar cane or white beet, so you won't run out of sugar.
