ZFS on DO

Allan & Kris,

I am new to FreeBSD and was wondering if you could you share your perspective
regarding the advantages and disadvantages of running ZFS on a $10 a month, 1
CPU, 1 GB RAM, 30 GB HDD VM from Digital Ocean.

From what I read, ZFS needs lots of hardware resources (RAM & CPU). Does it make
sense to run a small VM for web hosting with ZFS? Would it be more efficient and
easy on resources to run UFS instead on a small VM?
