Members are taught to see every area of our lives as a part of God\xe2\x80\x99s Kingdom rule. - | 8 | 6 | History | active | <h1 class="marBot10">THE VISION - LONDON, 1989</h1>\r\n <p> In March of 1989, the Lord gave Ray Djan the Scripture John 15: 1-5 and led him and his wife Susie to begin a work for the Lord. They were to plant a church called True Vine that would not only be a living and vibrant local expression of the church of Jesus Christ but a spiritual base for Kingdom activity and outreach to the community, the nation and other nations around the world. </p>\r\n<p>It was to be a church that would be reflective of the makeup of the multicultural community in which it was located. They meet during the week days at a time convenient for the members and usually in a home of True Vine member. The mentors will be entrusted will have the full support and pastoral oversight of leaders and church elder, receive training and spiritual input. However, another ministry which will develop and encourage an atmosphere of friendship, family and effective care among members of True Vine Church is the <strong>Care Ministry. </strong></p>\r\n <p><em>For the Scripture basis for this ministry, see teaching on \xe2\x80\x98Scripture Basis for a loving Family church\xe2\x80\x99 under the sub heading, Teaching under Sermons and Teaching on this website.</em></p>\r\n <p>The church will be anything but the church should we loose out on friendship, family and care.</p>\r\n <ul class="listItems">\r\n \t\t<li>The binding power of agape love, </li>\r\n <li>a sense of belonging to each other,</li>\r\n <li>oneness, unity</li>\r\n <li>Family, friendship</li>\r\n <li>care and support one for another</li>\r\n </ul>\r\n <p>These are all the cardinal ingredients of the church of the Lord Jesus Christ and a pillar upon which every other aspect of church life rests.</p>\r\n <p><strong>Objectives:</strong> More than anything else, this ministry is about encouraging loving support and togetherness in our fellowship. The care ministry will not take the full responsibility of care in our church but will help facilitate the process by encouraging this in various ways among the members of our church. It must be emphasised that every member of True Vine should in their own way be active in expressing God\xe2\x80\x99s love, participate in fellowship and must be caring towards one another in the church family as the bible exhorts us to.</p>\r\n <p><strong>CARE FUND</strong></p>\r\n <p>This is a fund set up by</p>\r\n <p><strong>Contributions of church members</strong> of the church and administered by the Leader of the Care Ministry. </p>\r\n <p>Additionally church members may be asked to help with a specific need which arise that demands urgent attention and of which the Care fund will not be adequate. </p>\r\n <p>Finally members may use their own initiative to privately raise funds to supplement the Care Fund. </p>\r\n <p>Any loan, gift or moneys issued out of this Fund shall be considered as coming from the membership of True Vine Church as a whole. ANY DECISION TO GIVE OUT MONEY FROM THE CARE FUND WILL BE DEPENDANT ON THE AMOUNT OF MONEY HELD WITHIN THE FUND.</p>\r\n <p><strong>Uses of the Care Fund</strong></p>\r\n <p>It is important that members give the necessary information so that the care fund can be used for the purpose for which it was set up. Namely to buy and give</p>\r\n <p><strong>Cards</strong> for Birthdays, wedding anniversaries, Congratulations, get well. Gifts for special <strong>birthday anniversaries</strong> e.g. 50, 60, 70, 80 and 90 years old and Gifts for special <strong>wedding anniversaries</strong> eg. 25th and 50th. Gifts for wedding couples.</p>\r\n <p><strong>Postage stamps </strong>for all our correspondence. Mothers and fathers day celebrations in church.</p>\r\n <p><strong>Child dedication bibles</strong> for children who are dedicated in True Vine church, Dedication certificates, water baptism certificates. Gifts for new born babies. </p>\r\n <p><strong>Flowers</strong> for visits to those who are sick and in hospital or confined</p>\r\n <p>Financial <strong>support for members</strong> who are bereaved of close family (i.e. mother, father, wife, husband, children or sibling) </p>\r\n <p><strong>Crisis Loans and/or crisis financial gifts</strong> may be given to members who are in a desperate financial need and who approach any member of the Care Team for help. </p>\r\n <p>REMEMBER IF WE DO NOT KNOW, WE CANNOT HELP OR GIVE.</p>\r\n <p><strong>CARE FUND DONATIONS</strong></p>\r\n <p>The current MINIMUM amount being asked from</p>\r\n <p><strong>Adults:</strong>- 22 years and above is \xc2\xa340 annually .<br />This amounts to \xc2\xa33.33 a month </p>\r\n <p><strong>Youth:</strong>- 18 years to 21 years is \xc2\xa320 annually. True Vine has therefore sent and continues to send people into different countries such as Poland, Germany, Denmark, France, Ukraine, Philippines, India, Australia, United States, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, South Africa & Zimbabwe to undertake missionary work.</p>\r\n <p><strong>KIDCARE International</strong></p>\r\n <p>The Children, Family & Community development and outreach arm of the ministry Known as KIDCARE INTERNATIONAL was founded in April 1999. It was to be dedicated to addressing the needs of children, strengthening families and contributing positively to as many communities as we can both in the UK and around the world. </p>\r\n <p>Kidcare\xe2\x80\x99s international programme places special emphasis on those living in extreme poverty. In some parts of the world, children and families are poor or destitute with no home; countless children are unable to go school; many are sick and cannot receive basic medical attention and one child dies of malnutrition every eight seconds. Working together in partnership, we can make a difference. </p>\r\n <p>In Ghana, Kwesi and Naa Ade Boateng, a couple from True Vine, have set up a base for Kidcare. Kidcare has gone on to both support and build orphanages in Uganda, India and the Philippines. In South Africa, Kidcare has supported a drop\xe2\x80\x93in centre for destitute street children. Indeed, all in all, True Vine has so far impacted the lives of over 500 children outside the United Kingdom, with sponsorship for children coming from many of the members of the mother True Vine Church. These ventures have not only brought economic and social wellbeing to the people but have also introduced the gospel to them in realistic ways. </p>\r\n <p>Thus, for such a relatively small church, the scope of True Vine\xe2\x80\x99s works has been quite phenomenal. True Vine has indeed had a far reaching impact into the nations. Its operations are in consonance with a vision the Lord showed the elders to the effect that the church would serve as a vine whose branches would spread out far and wide bearing fruit that would not only abide but produce the new wine of the Kingdom.</p>\r\n <p><strong>True Vine Churches Abroad</strong></p>\r\n <p>Churches that True Vine has planted in the villages, towns and cities of the world have either taken on the name \xe2\x80\x9cTrue Vine\xe2\x80\x9d or have coined their own names but have all maintained a strong apostolic relationship with the mother True Vine Church.</p>\r\n <p><strong>Sister church in the UK - CHRISTIANS IN ACTIONS</strong></p>\r\n <p>Christians in Action Church in Addiscombe is a lively and vibrant community that welcomes all to rejoice in the name of God. This church is composed of many nationalities, working in partnership with other church fellowships to honour our Saviour Jesus Christ; attracting a large and friendly Christian community.
