Slathi Empire

Before there was The Enemy, there were the Slath. Militant, dauntless and unconcerned with the well-being of the 'lesser' races, they terrorized the DCS for many a century. Only by the force of two different coalition armies was the advance of the Slathi Empire at last checked.
Then, the Enemy came. They shattered the Empire's fleets, shrugged off their defensive combat, and demolished the Slathi homeworld from orbit. The Empire had fallen. They were reduced to less than two fleets, scattered in the remains of their once-vast territory.

Several vessels, under the command of Tsaran Vik'oth, formerly Tsaran Prime of the Vik'oth sector, made it into DCS space intact. They are still ferociously independent of other races, but the decimation the Enemy has wrought has left them almost humbled. Almost. They still believe themselves to be the greatest Empire of the greatest race the universe has ever known. And by the One, they will regain that title, even if it means exterminating every Enemy vessel in existence.
