  1. "Extremely Concerned Yumetaro Run"
  2.
  3. Rule 1: You may not harm or defeat any enemies in the game, with the exception of bosses and sub-bosses.
  4.
  5. - You don't want to actually hurt anyone, do you?
  6.
  7. - Green goober near the cannon in level 2 counts as a sub-boss, at the very least for the purposes of this run. While the cannon is possible to push without defeating them, it's extremely, obtusely difficult. If they jump off the edge of the ship, they immediately respawn as you go to push it, and if you jump off the cannon on accident while avoiding him, you'll jump high enough to reset its position and have to start pushing again. You can only push small increments while repeatedly baiting him to fall off, and it becomes a bizarre nightmare. It's not impossible, but it's goofy, unfun, and so far against the game's intentions of how to be played I don't suggest it.
  8.
  9. - The Totoro looking cutie in level 3 doesn't count as sub boss just because the green goober does. They're probably waving that leaf to encourage you! Ganbatte, Yumetaro!
  10.
  11. - Enemies can fall into pits as a result of their own actions, but you may never push them (you can bait archers in level 6 to fall in the spikes, otherwise what they do can be unpredictable enough to defeat both you and them).
  12.
  13. - You do have to bonk the dinosaur in stage 4 once to ride them. They'll forgive you, I hope.
  14.
  15. Rule 2: You must leave behind all health potions and health-increasing potions. Not a single one may be picked up.
  16.
  17. - These are being left behind for the bosses and sub-bosses you hurt, or enemies who fall into pits on accident! They need to get better again, right?
  18.
  19. - Yes, it is possible (and interestingly difficult!) to get past level 4's archer hallway without taking a single hit and without harming enemies, it's just really tough.
  20.
  21. - Yes, it is possible to avoid all health increases. The second one in stage 4 is easy to star ride over by bouncing the wall to the right and jumping over it, and the first one in stage 6 can be jumped over with momentum from the ice hill just before it.
  22.
  23. Rule 3: No 1-up farming.
  24.
  25. - i.e. no collecting more than 2 alchemized 1ups from the level 2 and 5 secrets. If you die, you're not allowed to collect them again to get as many as necessary. Enemies might need these, too.
  26.
  27. Rule 4: You must obtain the good ending.
  28.
  29. - Concern for Sophia comes first, even though you're concerned for everybody. Surely, all the health potions you left behind might heal the crumbling world. R-r-right? ;__;
  30.
  31. Rule 5: Bombs and fireballs cannot be used on enemies, even bosses.
  32.
  33. - They're just too dangerous! You wouldn't want to really hurt somebody.
  34.
  35. - With the exception of getting the third treasure, which requires tossing a bomb onto the ant-thing. Try to toss it before the little mob of goobers chasing you from the waterfall jumps in, to justify protecting them.
