I come to you today out of deep concern for the safety of our collective family to inform you that there are those within us that have chosen to cooperate with the government and turn on their fellow brothers.

I speak of seven members of the #Payback13, a group of 13 activists that are currently being prosecuted in the Eastern District of Virginia for their participation in #OperationPayback. This case has not received the recognition it deserves, and, for a while, that was almost a good thing. It allowed the true nature of seven of the defendants to come out. That nature is one that is willing to turn on their comrades and agree to fully cooperate with the government in exchange for pleading down to a misdemeanor. Of the two plea agreements that have been made public, both agree to not only testify against their co-defendants if called, but to cooperate fully with law enforcement in informing them about *any* crime they have information about, not just that which is related to #OperationPayback. Needless to say, this has grave consequences for not only their remaining co-defendants, who are still bravely standing and refusing to bow to government persecution, but for anyone who has ever worked with them.

It is for this reason that their names must be released. They must be known. Our brothers and sisters must be protected.
