A letter from Akemi

Brother - I hope this letter reaches you in good health. In the interest of not worrying you to death, I thought I would speak to you of the progress I have made in finding potential suitors for Claire-sama. I feel I should probably begin this list with people that you are familiar with, so that you are thinking on this as well.

Lord Kiba Makoto - Marriage between ninja clans is not unheard of, surprisingly. It seems someone of the Sennyo clan married into the Tsukino many, many generations ago. It took a great deal of research to uncover this fact, however. As you know, the reason clans tend to not intermarry is to guard their secrets and prevent the other clan's influence from growing in their own lands. Lord Makoto, however, I understand, may already be somewhat ostracized from his clan at large. I have heard he is a kind man, and quite handsome to boot. He may be a suitable candidate for Claire-sama. I wonder just how much influence the Tsukino would stand to gain, however?

Mayor Viktrea of Dulcet - I cannot claim to know our lady's sexuality, but marriage is marriage. I understand Viktrea is looking for a female partner at this time. Claire-sama may be willing to undergo this for the sake of the clan, if nothing else. Viktrea is a powerful and influential woman, controlling a trading town on the Nolgir and a wide swath of land, as you know. Our clan is unlikely to raise an objection at a female-female marriage in this day and age, but if Claire-sama is expected to pass on her title, she must have a child. In this case, she will be in need of a surrogate father. I wonder if she would have one of her servants perform the deed, eh, Katsuo?

Cornell - The leader of the Chroma Peace Alliance seems like a good candidate as well. I'm unsure what his background is, but my intuition from hearing his accent suggests to me he is perhaps Nolgrandan highborn. Perhaps a bastard child raised in a different household. Whatever the case now, he is quickly becoming a powerful and influential leader, and I am sure none would object if he were to marry our lady. Ask him about it at some point?

With those out of the way, I feel I should expand on the potential suitors I have personally found information on.

Conrad Vernon - A merchant of the council from Port Laviarrne. He owns a good deal of real estate in that area and has a stranglehold on various imports like wine, foreign tobacco, and griffin hide. A marriage with Claire-sama would be favorable for him to secure more control over Western Rivale.

Josephine St. Jaune - I've heard one of Davadezi's prime ministers is single. This option could lead to a significant increase in the influence of the Tsukino clan, but perhaps at risk of our lands being annexed into Davadezi as well. She heads the Svarna province, from what I understand, is rumored to prefer the fairer sex, and seems to be actively seeking alliances to strengthen her province.

Nicodemus Knight - A member of Nolgranda's Heaven's Hand, but also a high ranking member of the Order of Gracidea. Considering Lady DeLeon's presence in the Order as well, assuming we could sweeten this option enough for Knight to accept, we would gain large influence with the Order of Gracidea and eliminate a possible opponent within the Nolgrandan hierarchy. Knight's neutrality would be all but forced. The tricky part would be getting him to accept this proposition in the first place. And aside from that I've heard he's not very personable. The marriage could very well be unhappy. But Claire-sama is aware of the risks.

I've also sent this information, minus some of my more colorful remarks, to our lady as a report. I will keep searching for more potential candidates, and get back to you as I learn more. Similarly, if you have any suggestions, I would be keen to hear them. Simply give a response to the Farfetch'd I sent this letter with.
