  3. Thank you for deciding to join us! Before you start participating in the chat, please read through the following:

  5. We hope you have good doubles battles and discussions about doubles strategies, but remember: You must follow all Global rules in addition to the room rules. The global rules can be found by typing /rules or by http://pokemonshowdown.com/rules.

  7. DOUBLES ROOM RULES

  9. 1. Use common sense in the chat. Trolling, flaming, and spamming will be dealt with harshly.
  10.  
  11. 2. Please do not overuse formatting! This includes bold, italics, ALL CAPS, and underlining. You may use it occasionally to stand out, but not excessively or obnoxiously.
  12.  
  13. 3. The topic of discussion does occasionally tangent. If you would like to discuss something, simply bring it up, and the flow of the chat will follow if the other active users deem that the subject is worth focusing on. Or, PM a staff member and ask them to draw attention for you if you really think the topic is that important.

  15. 4. Be respectful! There is a big difference between expressing a different opinion and openly insulting someone else for theirs.

  17. 5. If you feel that an unjust punishment has been made, confer with a higher ranked staff member about it. Room mods have the final say!

  25. How can you get promoted?
  26. Users that are consistently helpful and contributing to the chat will be rewarded for their activity. This includes starting and maintaining worthwhile discussion and helping new users.
  27. DO NOT ask for promotions. If you really deserve it, you will get it. Asking for it will never earn you it; consistent bothering of staff will result in punishment.
