- Goof speedrun history
- WR 15:42 ingame. No serious runs done on 1p thus far, on any version (I think?)
- Notable rooms from 1p/2p, or goof/max
- WAY more luck based.
- Need health: Damage abuse saves tons of time since your partner can't stun/kill enemies
- Need lives: Partner's not waiting by exit of room, and death abuse ports you there.
- Stage 1
- Puzzle 1 - in 2p it's basically split into two "halves", where a 1p run has to cover it all, and plan movement accordingly.
- Boss 1 - way more luck based 1p, and WAY more luck based as Max (can only cover 2 holes instead of 3)
- Stage 2
- Pink kicker room. Basically need to make sure they don't kick any explosive blocks before the whites are in place. Especially as goofy.
- Boss - No significant difference, just goes slower since the other side's pots go to waste
- Stage 3
- Not TOO much different here, mostly the hook/key room at the end goes a lot slower and requires death abuse to do quickly.
- Boss - minimizing wasted bones is important in coop, but critical here. Really hard on Max.
- Stage 4
- Because so many puzzles feature exploding blocks, can be pretty tight as Goofy, and need to plan around them.
- End roller room can be pretty luckbased.
- Final puzzle requires re-entry just to solve.
- Boss absurdly slow. Any misses waste tons of time.
- Stage 5
- Old route has almost no luck, but is maybe 15 sec slower. New route's variance isn't high enough to warrant using old route for marathons.
- Boss - No distractions for cronies. Makes it really hard as Max.

- Max/Goofy differences
- - Max walks 1.2x faster than Goofy when not carrying something, and 0.8x as fast when carrying something.
- - Max does 4 damage to enemies, Goofy does 5. Most enemies, except blue skinny pirates, animals, and maybe some other things, have 5 health.
- - Overall impact on routing/strats
- • Max walks as much as possible, and Goofy supports him in getting there. If a room is exited the same way you come in, Goofy usually also used for that too.
- • Goofy the main player in rooms where you kill everything as fast as possible, or for bosses
- Version differences - mostly puzzles, some block placements
