[21:21] <Drewbear> Jackie walks up the stairs to meet Layla and starts walking down with her. Not helping, just walking with her.

[21:22] <SGTDan> Standing still in the bath, Beck fiddles with his chest contraption to modify his temperature as the water cools the suit. After a while the water stops and his suit becomes dry. Smiling beneath his visor the Astronaut makes his way back to the Main Hall before stopping and just staring at the different doors.
[21:23] <Drewbear> Jackie continues to walk down with Layla in silence.
[21:23] <Sequence> "Just go talk to Roberto, okay? Seriously. And think about not destroying the demon that created reality."
[21:23] <Tox> Brad nods slowly.  "Yeah..."
[21:23] <Sequence> Then Layla is silent.
[21:23] <Pemander> "Sorry to be a downer. I'm going to go get a drink."

[21:27] <SGTDan> Slowly moving from door to door Beck finds himself out on the patio. Looking at the Marine and Trin a smile cracks his ghastly face but its hidden beneath a faceless visor.

[21:41] <SGTDan> "I am...not living...anymore...I am...dead and cold as ice." Beck says with detachment " No longer ...of this world...though I walk on it."

[21:43] <SGTDan> Beck seems genuinely surprised and moved once, letting go of the railing "Please....Corporal, spin your horror story for....me.."
[21:45] <Tox> He sighs.  "This is the abridged version.  Once, I worked for an organization called the Foundation.  One of our jobs was to explore this House, and find Artifacts to contain a horribly powerful entity known as Jagermann, or the Hunter Mann." Brad pronounces all the capitals.
[21:45] <Tox> "One day, my superiors learned that Jager was trying to break out, and had five points of attack, any one of which he could have been at."
[21:46] <Tox> "We broke into five teams, each team armed with a special device that would let us trap him -- or at least his soul -- back in the house.  ...At a price.  The user had to give up their soul to do it.  Trapped here, powering the prison."
[21:46] <Tox> He sighs heavily.  "Jager outsmarted us.  He was in all five places at once."
[21:47] <Tox> "...I held the device for my particular team."
[21:47] <@Maddy> "Five Dead Men..."
[21:47] <Tox> "Five Dead Men," Brad repeats, nodding.
[21:48] <Tox> "If I hadn't taken the disk...my superior, Jason, would have.  He knew what was at stake."  His voice has dropped to a whisper.

He turns to look out to the landscape "Not that I would...want to leave...now...jut become a experiment for...your organization."
