  1. "Hey Twilight....what'd ya call me down here for?"
  2. >You're within the Ponyville Library, currently being led down in to the basement by none other than Princess Celestia's Protege: Twilight Sparkle
  3. >"I wanted to show you something I've been working on for quite some time...when you were 'brought' here there were two barrels full of this..substance."
  4. "Substance?"
  5. >Before your arrival in Equestria, you and a two of your friends had decided you were going to deface some private property, you rogue you.
  6. >Unfortunately the three of you had no idea just what was being held there, when the three of you were consumed with magic, a few barrels that were being transported were brought with you.
  7. >Unfortunately your two friends had ventured in to what Twilight called, "An unfortunate variable in teleportation."
  8. >In short your friends Skippy and Leo were dead and you were transported to the Everfree covered in their blood
  9. >Good times, good times.
  10. >You paid the barrels no mind, whoever was working with those barrels didn't want what was inside to be spilled.
  11. >Ten locks upon a steel barrel means keep that shit closed in your book.
  12. >And Twilight here has brought it upon herself to magically unlock each and every lock.
  13. >When Twilight finally unlocks to door in to her basement you hear an incessant groaning
  14. >Just what was inside those barrels and what did Twilight use it for?
  15.
  16. >The two of you are seated in front of a large glass screen, from the other side you can see a single p0ny shuffling around on two hooves moaning as it moves
  17. >Though with the terrible lighting you can't see any physical abnormalities, though from its slow movements you can tell something ails the poor thing
  18. >"I've introduced Subject A to that substance, so far we've seen a decrease in motor skills, the inability to speak other than the occasional noise emitted, and an overall lack of...life."
  19. >You look to Twilight as she mentions the lack of life
  20. "So...you brought me here to see this because?"
  21. >"I assumed you'd know just what's wrong with the subject."
  22. "Okay....can I maybe get some more light?"
  23. >"Of course."
  24. >She wastes no time in illuminating the room the two of you are peering in to.
  25. >You gasp in horror, there's absolutely no way this should be possible....humanity has discovered the Z-Virus and its first victim within Equestria is....
  26. >None other than Rainbow Dash
  27. >A good portion of the skin upon her face is gone, along with whatever she ate before the experiments, you see the bile in the corner of her room.
  28. >"Anon...just what happened to Rainbow? "
  29. >You grab Twilight by her 'shoulders' pinning her to a nearby wall
  30. "You just killed your friend and doomed us all you god damn idiot!"
  31. >Twilight's jaw dropped at your coarse language
  32. >At this point you don't care if she understand the gravity of the situation or not, she's nearly insured the extinction of every single living thing here in Equestria
  33. >You can't let any other unfortunate p0ny end up like Dash
  34.
  35. "Do you have something blunt I could use?"
  36. >"For what?"
  37. "I have to clean up this mess before it spreads. I'm going to take care of Dash in there before she can bite anyp0ny."
  38. >Twilight's eyes widened at what you were implying
  39. >"Anon, you can't do this, Dash is just having a bad reaction is all..."
  40. >You turn to her, staring daggers at her, she does not know what the hell she's just unleashed
  41. "No Twilight, you don't understand that stuff KILLS living creatures and reanimates the corpse. If the corpse bites you the same will happen to you. That's not Dash in there."
  42. >Twilight scoffs at your explanation before glaring
  43. >"You can't bring the dead back to life Anon, that's not scientifically possible."
  44. >You see Twilight take a step towards the door which led in to Rainbow's chamber
  45. >"I'm going to open this door and show you that Rainbow is nothing more than a little sick. Zecora could probably give her something and her skin will grow back."
  46. >You try to run over to Twilight to tackle her, but her magic keeps you at bay.
  47. >"And I will not have a you over react to the point of killing my friend."
  48. >As her hoof opens the door you scream at her to stop
  49. >You wake up screaming in horror
  50. >This rustles poor Zombieshy's jimmies, causing her to shriek.
  51. >This in turn rustles your already rustled jimmies.
  52.
  53. >Oh shit you were dreaming, you actually managed to get some shut eye despite the chaos around you.
  54. >As you come to terms with your surroundings Zombieshy stops her screaming, she's now staring at you with her eyes a glow.
  55. >You can't help but feel a twinge of fear, sure she means no harm, but that doesn't make her any less of a threat, she's still got the ability to turn you if she just so happens to want a bite.
  56. >You pick up your nearby crossbow and rise to your feet, you take a look at your makeshift barriers just to make sure everything is intact.
  57. >Luckily Zombieshy's presence kept the other un-dead equines away from your safe room.
  58. >As you make your way to your door your stomach begins to rumble, that's great, lets get in to some of this food.
  59. >You approach a knee high level cupboard in one of the corners of the bedroom, opening it to reveal a items. Eggs, water, apples, carrots, peaches, etc
  60. >It sucks that you've got nothing to refrigerate your supplies, before the day is up you're going to have to make a break for the kitchen.
  61. >You take another look at your crossbow, no Anon more bolts didn't magic in to their places, you're still down to three.
  62. >You curse your lack of luck yet again.
  63. >Whatever eggs and apples will have to do.
  64.
  65. >Oh god...oh god raw eggs are terrible.
  66. >Why didn't you grab anything other than just a bit of food before running fort this room?
  67. >You could of at least grabbed something in order to cook the eggs but no Zombie Lyra had to try to gnaw your damn fingers off in the kitchen
  68. >Then Bon Bon had to put her two cents in when she wandered in to the room. You put a bolt in between her eyes
  69. >Fuck Bon Bon she tried to kick your ass whenever Lyra asked you to rub her belly.
  70. >Anyway after your wonderful meal you proceed to dry heave, luckily you're able to keep your food down.
  71. >Zombieshy is looking at you curiously, she's probably looking you over to see if you're okay
  72. >Or she's looking you over like a nice juice piece of meat
  73. >You recall her rape attempts upon your person while she was doing Iron Will's training, again more good times.
  74. >When your stomach finally calms you walk over to the door and start removing the barrier, piece by piece.
  75. >This process takes about an hour, you're working as quietly as possible, there's no way you're gonna burst out of your room, you enjoy life and you'd like to keep living it.
  76.
  77. >Finally, your labor has paid off, you stand before your dismantled barrier
  78. >You see no undead equine in sight, must be your birthday or something
  79. >You sneak your way out in to the hallway, both sides are empty aside from a few piles of blood, hooves, eyes, and corpses from your venture to your safe room
  80. >Zombieshy comes trotting out beside you
  81. "I don't suppose you'd know the safest way out of here?"
  82. >You look down to see Zombieshy giving you a deadpan glare, oh right she's dead, she can't speak.
  83. "Oh...ah...sorry."
  84. >She grunts in response, she doesn't seem to care either way, apparently being dead means you forgo all of your future fucks.
  85. >Alright Anon its time for you to head on back to the kitchen, you take one final look down both winding hallways before cutting to the left.
  86. >Dead Cuisine: Come for the Dead, Stay for the Meal
  87. >Man you suck at coming up with titles for your little campaigns
  88. >This little tidbit is one of the few things keeping your sanity in check, every time you had to head out you thought of little titles for your ventures. >Canterlot Gates: Tanks, Tanks, and more Tanks would have to of been your third favorite
  89. >You never thought you'd use over a dozen bolts to take down a tank equine, but surprises are all you'll find in a zombie apocalypse
  90. >You hear Zombieshy's grunts begin to pitch to a higher note, this causes you to stop
  91. >You hear the moaning of various undead echoing throughout the hallways
  92. >You've reached a sort of four way in the halls, oh god which way did you come from?
  93.
  94. >Fuck it, let's go to the right.
  95. >Your legs agree, you make a break for the right hallway just as zombies began to pour from the one that was previously to your left.
  96. >You look back to see that they're shuffling along, they apparently haven't spotted you, maybe zombies had a reduced field of vision.
  97. >You didn't want to experiment...that's how things got this way in the first place
  98.
  99.
  100. "Twilight! You've no idea what you're doing!"
  101. >She ignores you, instead going in to the chambers, when she comes within fifteen feet of Dash she starts trying to get her friend's attention
  102. >Dash...dash didn't like the hoof being waved in her face
  103. >Before Twilight could react she felt Dash's teeth dig in to the meat right above the hoof, when the blood started to flow you acted fast, you shut the door on her before she could run out.
  104. >She was infected now, there would be no turning back for her.
  105. >You watched as Twilight did her damndest to break down the door, incorporating magic in to her attempts
  106. >Too bad she magic proofed the room, Dash is anything but merciful, aggressively dive bombing Twilight to take a bite out of her
  107. >You were forced to watch her be eaten, in a way she deserved this, but she was a friend...you feel a twinge of guilt for this.
  108.
  109. >You cringe as Dash takes out a bit of Twilight's neck...Twilight would be gone after this. You watch as Dash flies over Twilight like a vulture, ready to eat its dead meal
  110. >Oh god if Rainbow could still fly then Twilight would probably be able to do magic....you make sure that door is locked and blocked. Two chairs plus the hidden book case should provide enough of a blockade against two zombies.
  111. >Twilight looks to you as she bleeds out, a mixture of fear and betrayal planted upon her features
  112. >You mouth an 'I'm sorry' before making your way out of the basement.
  113. >It's imperative you get a letter to Celestia regarding this manner. She must know of the threat and it must be contained
  114. >When you see Spike he inquires as to where Twilight could be.
  115. >He says he heard you screaming at Twilight to stop doing something, he was outside when he heard the two of you, this caused him to 'try to spring in to action'.
  116. >You turn to see the door being burned to a crisp and off its hinges.
  117. >You begrudgingly show him the scene below
  118. >By the time the two of you went down there Twilight was no longer moving, her eyes had lost their luster.
  119. "I'm....I'm sorry Spike."
  120. >That's all you can muster.....
  121.
  122. >You've managed to bypass the zombies for the most part, managing to only have to kill two in order to reach the kitchen.
  123. >The kitchen's useless, looking around you find that this was used as a temporary saferoom, the stoves were dismantled in to walls to be used to block the entrances, you see that magic played a huge part in this
  124. >You have a feeling it was probably a few remnants of Celestia's guard, hoping to get some sort of reprieve.
  125. >As you continue to explore the kitchen you see two smashed bodies of Celestia's guard in a room off to the side, the only thing you could use to recognize them would be the flattened golden armor
  126. >The overall appearance of the kitchen made it seem like a tank had broken through their barriers
  127. >You make your way past the two unfortunate equines to the cupboards within the same room
  128. >You manage to find a at least ten bags of apple chips and a few bottles of water
  129. >You assume those to be hastily grabbed items that the guards managed to scrounge up, other than that the kitchen was void of any sort of food, this does not bode well for you
  130. >Suddenly a high pitched shriek fills the air. This one is of a lower pitch than Zombieshy's, when Zombieshy answers back you rush back to the main part of the kitchen to see what could be making such noise
  131.
  132. >You see an earth p0ny leaping around Fluttershy, screeching as it does so.
  133. >You've only got a single bolt, you're forced to wait for an opening, but this p0ny is too damn fast, you can't get a clear shot
  134. >When the p0ny notices you it stops before leaping over Fluttershy and to the wall, using the momentum the p0ny angles itself just right before launching itself at you
  135. >The force of impact knocks you on to your back, as you hit the ground this p0ny starts trying to tear in to you with its fangs...oh god it has fangs?!
  136. >You manage to maneuver the crossbow, letting it take the bite instead of your exposed throat
  137. >This only lasts for so long before the zombie disarms you, you're forced to push along its chest in order to make sure it can't bend down low enough to bite you
  138. >Eventually you manage to slip your knees in under its stomach, you've only got one shot at this
  139. >You suddenly use the force generated from your arms and legs to push the zombie off of you, launching it off of you
  140. >You're barely to your feet before it leaps again, you brace for impact
  141. >Your eyes widen when they see Fluttershy leap at its blind side, she manages to take it down before it can reach you.
  142. >You see it begin to struggle under Zombieshy's grip, trying desperately to get to you.
  143.
  144. >You watch as Zombieshy tightens the grip her teeth have on the zombie until you hear the sickening sound of Flesh being pulled from bone
  145. >You hear a sudden snap, immediately after the sickening noise reached your ears you see the zombie p0ny in Flutter's teeth go limp, silent.
  146. >Zombieshy just used her teeth to snap the neck of a zombie.....oh dear god you're happy she's on your side.
  147. >As you're staring in awe you can swear Zombieshy is blushing even if she lacks blood flow.
  148. >She even moves her mane in front of her eye as if to hide behind it.
  149. >Too bad the meat hanging from her jaws and the amount of blood upon her is too off putting to say she's cute.
  150. >She smiles at you before happily munching upon the zombie flesh she tore from her victim.
  151. >You get a good view of a row of razor sharp teeth when she smiles...yeah she's reached a level of mutation you'd not want to fuck with.
  152. >You're surprised to hear your stomach growl as you watch her munching away on the zombie in the floor, fuck it, you need some Apple Chips after what you've just gone through.
  153. >As you open a bag and munch down upon the delicious chips inside you take solace in knowing your only friend in the zombie apocalypse can keep your ass alive.
  154.
  155. >You spend the next few minutes happily munching on some chips.
  156. >Fluttershy had since finished her 'meal' and has turned her attention back to you. You begrudgingly look at the zombie she'd been eating...there wasn't much left.
  157. >Zombieshy sees you eyeing her meal, she seems to...smile?
  158. >That's a little off putting to say the least, wait what's she doing?
  159. >You watch as Zombieshy goes back over to the corpse, puts a part of its flesh in her teeth, and then breaks off a chunk of it before trotting over to you.
  160. >She drops the bloody piece of flesh right next to you, before nudging it with her snout, pushing it closer to you.
  161. >Wait she's trying to feed you? You raise an eyebrow, pointing towards the infected meat as you do so.
  162. "You want me to eat that?"
  163. >She nods enthusiastically before nudging the infected meat closer.
  164. >She can't be serious, does she have any idea what eating zombie flesh could do to you?
  165. "W...what no, Fluttershy no. I'm not eating that, not only has it been in your mouth but its the ass end of a dead horse!"
  166. >You point at the unfortunate p0ny's cutie mark. She'd try feeding you its flank.
  167. >God damn it Zombieshy
  168. >Before you could go further in to your rant the sounds of shouting cut you off.
  169. >Someone else had survived and they were headed this way.
  170.
  171. >You barely have time to push Zombieshy in to the nearby room before the doors came bursting open
  172. >A solitary Celestial soldier came rushing in, followed by another two, they had been dragging a fourth with them.
  173. >Luckily they took no notice of you as of yet.
  174. >"Clear that table over there!"
  175. >The first one spoke, as he gave his orders the two carrying their companion set him down before using their magic to clear off a nearby prep table.
  176. >Soon they had their companion lying down, from your angle their companion didn't appear to be breathing.
  177. >You decide to make yourself known after you have Flutters successfully hidden from view.
  178. >The guards don't exactly meet your presence with relief....in fact they seem angry.
  179. >"You....we were hoping you'd of been eaten."
  180. "Well....hello to you too I guess. It's not my fault you guys didn't listen to me. At least you were able to get the Celestia and Luna out."
  181. >The guard who acknowledged you remained silent before looking over his wounded companion
  182. >You take this time as an opportunity to ask
  183. "Just who do you have with you anyway?"
  184. >One of the other guards speak this time
  185. >"It's our Captain, Shining Armor, the crazy sucker said he'd hold the front gates while we got Celestia and Luna to their carriages....when we came back for him he was still speaking...now we're lucky if he makes any noise at all."
  186.
  187. "Has he been bitten?"
  188. >"We haven't had time to check, he's gotten the piss stomped out of him though. These...things, they don't always go for the bite, they make sure you're hurtin before they do the deed....bastards."
  189. >As the two of you speak the two still around Shining start to pry his dented armor off of his form. With it lying in the floor you can see that's he's alive. Sure he's unconscious but at least he's breathing.
  190. >Then the four of you spot something that fills you all with dread.
  191. >He had been bitten, along his chest, the breastplate did a good job hiding his wound from your prying eyes.
  192. ".....fuck..."
  193. >"There's nothing we can do...is there?"
  194. >You sigh before making you way over to the door the group came in.
  195. >With their antics they'd nearly torn the door off its hinges....this place wouldn't be safe for long.
  196. >"Hey, did you hear me? I asked if there was anyt-"
  197. "No. There's nothing more you can do for Shining here, he's been bitten. He was probably bitten before the gates incident, that's why he was able to hide it behind his armor. There's a good chance he thought he wouldn't make it which is why he had you guys go."
  198. >The guards are silent after that.
  199. "Did he have any family?"
  200. >"Yes, Twilight his sister, Cadence his fiancee, and of course his mother and father. He and Cadence were going to be married at the end of the month but thanks to YOU that's not gonna happen."
  201. >Okay this shit isn't cool with you.
  202. "How the hell is this my fault?!"
  203.
  204. >The guard who acknowledged you approaches you, as he gets closer he begins speaking.
  205. >"Wanna know how? Here's how, you're the one who came in with that muck that stared all of this. Even if you weren't personally responsible for Shining's death his, and every other p0ny's, is on your hands Anonymous!"
  206. >As if you weren't already dealing with that fact as it is.
  207. >You didn't appreciate being reminded of what you've brought, you didn't know Twilight would do what she did, hell you didn't even know what the barrels had inside of them.
  208. >Even with that, you aren't able to answer the distressed guard...in a way he's right, this is your fault.
  209. >The guard takes his eyes off of you and goes back over to Shining to check on him.
  210. >"Don't worry Captain we'll get ya out of here. Men, get your rest, we leave at dawn.....as for you Anonymous you're going to have to find somewhere else."
  211. >Wait a minute, does this unicorn think he's got any authority over you?
  212. "There's no way in hell I'm going back out there. I really hope you realize this."
  213. >The guard turns to you yet again.
  214. >"Anonymous, I could just pin the death of The Captain of the Guard on you, and the three of us could execute you right here for such a treacherous crime....be lucky I'm giving you a fighting chance and not ending your life here."
  215.
  216. >You cross your arms at this, this unicorn here thinks he's pretty ballsy.
  217. "I'm not leaving."
  218. >The guard turns to you yet again, seething hatred in his stare.
  219. >His smile doesn't sit well with you though. In fact its quite unsettling
  220. "That's fine then. Men, kill this traitor."
  221. >His 'men' sit there and stare at him.
  222. >"Didn't you hear me? I said kill him!"
  223. >The youngest of the three speaks out
  224. >"Oh no we heard you, we just don't believe that order is in our best interest."
  225. >The guard intent on killing you opens his mouth to speak, but he's cut off before he can get a word out.
  226. >"Let's take a look out the window shall we?"
  227. >You and the asshole who wants to kill you turn to watch him as he trots to the nearby window.
  228. >He pushes open the window with his snout, he then puts his forehooves along the windowsill so he can get a good look.
  229. >"Oh look, there's a zombie, another zombie, oh shit there's like 20 of em over there. Yeah let's go ahead and send a living creature out there by himself, yeah that's a great idea sir, next thing you know you'll have us toss out Shining here so they have something to eat."
  230. >"How dare you take that tone with me!"
  231. >The guard turns back to his superior
  232. >"And how dare you send somep0....one to die. Ever since the shit hit the fan your orders have me questioning your ability to lead."
  233. >The third of their group sits on his haunches with his mouth agape, obviously surprised at his friend's audacity.
  234.
  235. >"Insubordination!"
  236. >The young guard shakes his head
  237. >"If that's the only thing you just took out of what I said then you're in no position to give orders. You need to sit down, take a deep breath, and calm yo-"
  238. >Before the guard could finish his sentence a blast of magic hits him square in the chest, he's launched in to the air, coming to a sudden halt when he hits the wall.
  239. >The magic came from none other than the asshole standing in front of you.
  240. >"I do not have time for p0nies like you, you can't cope with a high stress situations like I can, that's why I'm the one in charge and you're the one who follows my orders."
  241. >Before the unicorn can speak anymore you're on him. You tackle him from behind and pin him under you.
  242. >You start by tearing his helmet from his head, you try to strike his horn in order to disorient him and disrupt his magic, but he hits you with his spell before you have the chance.
  243. >You're world becomes blurred as you fly through the air, you land on your back just a few meters away.
  244. >The guard picks himself up before turning to you. When he gets to you he aims his horn at your throat.
  245. >When his horn begins to glow again he speaks
  246. >"I'm going to enjoy this a hell of a lot more than I should."
  247.
  248. >Before he can lower his horn a high pitched shriek can be heard, this catches his attention.
  249. >He attempts to turn his head to the sound of the shrieking but he ends up being hit from the side
  250. >He goes flying back, in the disruption of being hit he accidentally discharges his spell.
  251. >His spell collides with the side of your head before you even have time to react.
  252. >The Impact is enough to knock your ass out upon contact.
  253. >Sweet unconsciousness overtakes you....
  254.
  255. (Past Events)
  256. "Spike I'm telling you man, you can't help her now....she's gone."
  257. >Spike sat in front of the one way mirror leading in to the containment room which had held Rainbow Dash, Twilight's foolish mistake caused her to join the ranks of the un-dead.
  258. >Spike's color seemed drained from his purple form, his head was buried in his claws.
  259. >He had been subjugated to the site of his mentor...no his sister in such a state
  260. >He knocked on the window in order to try to get Twilight's attention a few minutes prior.
  261. >That was when you realized just what kind of zombies you'd be dealing with.
  262. >The two equines became enraged, they started ramming their hooves where they'd heard Spike knocking just a few seconds before.
  263. >The two of you were forced to watch them try to bite at the wall in a vain attempt to get to the two of you.
  264. >Their eyes, filled with a need, a need to consume the flesh of the living, they seemed desperate. Dash chipped her teeth trying to chew on the wall.
  265. >You couldn't stand it anymore, you picked up a sobbing Spike and you walked back in to the main library hall.
  266. >You were sure to shut the door behind you, and you made sure that the door was properly secured before doing anything else.
  267. >You didn't want to risk this disease spreading so you took it upon yourself to search her library in an attempt to find the containers she'd procured.
  268.
  269. >For hours you searched, coming up with no results. You had Spike take a letter to Celestia in order to warn her about the virus that came with you.
  270. >Hopefully Celestia knew a spell to undo this, a revival spell or something, anything.
  271. >Finally, you found the item you were looking for. A barrel that was cleverly hidden in a compartment under Sparkle's bed.
  272. >A sort of floor safe minus the locks, you opened it to find some corporation's logo sticking out, you recognize it as a pharmaceutical company from back on earth.
  273. >You begin to contemplate as to how the hell a company like that would be looking to engineer a zombie virus?
  274. >As you think you're greeted with a knock on the library door.
  275. >"Uh'm....Anon?"
  276. >Oh god not Flutterkink again, she would really make this situation a whole lot worse. You make your way towards the door, intending on having her be on her merry way.
  277. >When you opened the front door you were met with a very concerned Fluttershy, followed by Applejack, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie.
  278. >Spike was at the helm. He'd gathered the rest of the mane 6 while you'd done your sweep of the library.
  279. >Hopefully Spike told Celestia to bring the elements....
  280.
  281. (Present)
  282. >You wake to find yourself in the same position you were in prior to being knocked out.
  283. >You attempt to turn your head to try to get a hold of your surroundings, but the throbbing pain from the spell's impact stops you.
  284. >You make an audible groan which causes an immediate response.
  285. >"Hey he's awake!"
  286. >A high pitched shriek follows
  287. >"Whoa, Ground Shaker I wouldn't go near that thing...."
  288. >Who the hell is talking? And what is Zombieshy shrieking about?
  289. >Oh fuck Zombieshy's shrieking, that means that those guards saw her....which means...
  290. >Despite pain's attempt to keep you down you get in to a sitting position, you immediately regret it.
  291. >Your eye site had become hazed due to the immediate movement, this disorients you, causing you to fall back to your previous position upon the ground.
  292. >"I don't care if this...p0ny thing is standin there that guy's hurt...we can't just leave em lying there Storm."
  293. >You try to sit up for a second time after hearing their voices, this time you're able to sit up without making it worse.
  294. >You see the two of the guards that barged in to here, sitting on their haunches, about fifteen feet from Zombieshy here
  295. >Now Zombieshy's standing like a dog defending its property, you see her razor sharp teeth bared at the two.
  296. >You assume the shrieking came from her considering...well....its obvious she's the only one who can do that.
  297. >You continue to re take in your surroundings, only to find your attempted killer in a bloody pile in the corner.
  298. >His throat had been torn open and half his skull had been consumed by what you believe to be Flutters.
  299.
  300. >When you see Flutter's muzzle covered in blood your suspicions are confirmed.
  301. >But why didn't she go after the other two here? Wait did she....yeah she went after Shining Armor as well.
  302. >Apparently Shining's corpse was halfway done with its mutation before Zombieshy ended Shining's un life.
  303. >One of Shining's fore hooves had became quite...muscular, luckily Zombieshy acted quick in order to stop the tank roster from adding another to its lists.
  304. >The face on that one had been torn off....god your companion was brutal, then again all zombies are brutal.
  305. >You turn to face the two who'd been in Shining's company.
  306. "So...tell me, why didn't Flutters here come after you two?"
  307. >The two guardsp0nies look from you back to Fluttershy, and then back to you.
  308. >You understand where they're coming from.
  309. "Uh....Fluttershy?"
  310. >Immediately upon hearing her name, Zombieshy stops growling, her teeth are hidden back behind her lips again, and now she's looking up at you.
  311. >Her blood red eyes reveal concern for your well being.
  312. "Flutters I'm okay....can you maybe stop growling at those two over there?"
  313. >She arches an eyebrow before turning back to the two guardsp0nies, she gives them another look over before grinning sheepishly at them.
  314. >When she grins nervously you hear a soft squee come from her, if she had blow flow she'd probably be blushing.
  315. >I guess this is the closest thing to an apology she's going to be able to give.
  316. >Again you wonder just how can a zombie pull off being adorable.
  317. >The older looking of the two couldn't believe his eyes.
  318. >"J....just how did you do that?"
  319. "I'll be the one asking the questions."
  320.
  321. >The pain in your head is still apparent, you'll leave it to just a few questions, you're sure they'll be compliant. You held the cards after all.
  322. >Zombieshy was quite the ally to have.
  323. "So, what in the hell happened after your...buddy hit me with that spell?"
  324. >The younger of the two, Storm if you remember correctly, is the one to answer.
  325. >"Well....after you got knocked out...your little friend here came outta nowhere and blind sided our sergeant, bit right down and killed him...me and Ground Shaker here were gonna try to stop her, but when we noticed it was too late, we decided to just stay next to Shining's Body."
  326. >Ground looked to Storm when he stopped, he assumed that was his cue to pick up where Storm left off.
  327. >"Yeah, that's when Shining over here started uh...convulsin...then he started roaring and he got all pumped up....we thought we were goners, then that...uh, you said Flutters right?"
  328. >You nod.
  329. >"Yeah Flutters here leaped over us and killed....whatever it was Shining over here became....then she went right over to you and just laid down. We were gonna check on ya, but she wouldn't let us get anywhere near ya."
  330. >You look from Zombieshy over to the two guards. She mimics your actions, before hiding her face behind her mane. She looks at the two guards with a single eye.
  331. >"Well wouldya lookie here. Guess she's just a little shy huh? It's kinda cute."
  332. >Zombieshy squees again.
  333. >Storm turns to Ground, giving him a deadpan glare
  334. >"That 'shy p0ny' killed off both Shining and our Sergeant and you're saying it's cute?"
  335. >"......Yes."
  336.
  337. >"I...I can't believe I got assigned to this unit. Honestly, what did I do. What did I do?"
  338. "Storm, I'm the one with the head injury here stop your bitching."
  339. >Storm opens his mouth to speak, before seeing your wound.
  340. >The spell cast was incomplete, instead of it completely taking out a chunk of your neck it instead took out a good portion of skin around the side of your head.
  341. >You were bleeding profusely at this point, you feel the crimson trickling down the side of your face, after putting a hand to it you start to panicked a little, you weren't used to incurring such a wound.
  342. >Zombieshy looks from your face to your hand, she does a double take before slowly leaning in and licking at the blood in your palm.
  343. >Your panic attack fucking freezes when you feel Flutters cold, clammy tongue lap at your blood.
  344. >The entire time she's 'cleaning' your hand she's staring in to your eyes.
  345. >Then you swear to god Zombieshy starts trying to put on her bedroom eyes.
  346. >Are you fucking kidding?
  347. >You pull your hand away from Flutters before shouting
  348. >"Damn it Fluttershy drinking blood isn't my fetish!"
  349. >Flutters pulls away from you, giving you a look of defeat.
  350. >Ground and Storm look from Fluttershy to you.
  351. >"Are.....are you serious?"
  352. >You turn to look at the two
  353. "You don't even know the half of it..."
  354.
  355. >You feel a building pressure and decide to get with the program, you're gonna need someone to wrap up this wound or you'll lose too much.
  356. >Hell if left alone you'll probably die...probably.
  357. "Question number two...where were you guys going to go after this place?"
  358. >Ground answers this
  359. >"Well we were heading to the supply closet on this wing of the castle, there's a few first aid kits in case somep0ny gets injured on the job. Though we coulda used one on Shining here."
  360. >Yeah that really isn't going to happen now...not with Shining being dead over there....and over there...and all over Fluttershy's muzzle.
  361. "Do....do you think you guys could a.....help me out?"
  362. >"Well...we aren't but....twenty yards from the supply closet I saw it at the end of that hallway outside, we were gonna leave Shining on a table here and patch em up, but....I guess me and Storm here could grab a few things, its not like there's any zombies in this wing."
  363. >Storm prods Ground with a hoof before pointing to Zombieshy
  364. >"Except that one of course....so...uh give me and Storm a minute here and we'll be right back."
  365. >The two guards stand and walk towards the door.
  366. >They make sure to avoid walking anywhere near you, lest they incur the wrath of Zombieshy
  367. >You go right back to lying on the ground, looks like you're gonna be out of commission for a little while.
  368. >As you're lying there, you think there may just be a way out, hell just what were they going to do after patching up Shining? They probably have a way to get out of here.
  369. >Hopefully they won't shaft you.
  370.
  371. >So you wait, you wait with your buddy Zombieshy while you await Ground Shaker and Storm Caller.
  372. >She'd attempted to lick your head wound, must be impulse, but her tongue would do more damage than good.
  373. >You'd rather not be infected by zombie's saliva so you begrudgingly push her head away. You do give her a pat on her head to indicate you appreciate the sentiment.
  374. >She gives you the best smile she can for being an un-dead equine. She manages to pull off adorable, even with her blood stained mane.
  375. "Man I wish you could speak."
  376. >Zombieshy lets out a squeak in reply. She casts her eyes to an object in the corner, not looking to meet your gaze.
  377. >Hugging a zombie should be on the list of rules of what NOT to do during a zombie apocalypse, but for the love of god you want to hug her right now.
  378. >Your better judgement keeps you from doing so. Zombieshy hops off the table you're lying on and goes back to looking outside of what remains of the door in to your area.
  379. >She turns to you with a sad gaze, indicating that neither guard has made their way back. It makes no sense they said the supply closet was right down the hall.
  380. >Yeah they shafted you alright. They probably grabbed the medical supplies and high tailed it out of there.
  381.
  382. >Fuck, well you aren't going to get anything done lying here on a table. You get in to a sitting position only to experience what it feels like to move with a lack of blood.
  383. >You lie your happy ass right back on your table. Your back makes quite the ruckus, as does your head.
  384. >Man you really wish you didn't hit your head, an uncomfortable pressure begins to make itself apparent causing you even more discomfort.
  385. >Great, its not as if there isn't anything important going on right now. It's not as if all of your friends were turned in to corpses.
  386. >Zombieshy jumps at the noise emitted from you. Again, how is a zombie like her showing fear? How are you still alive? You lost quite a bit of blood.
  387. >The light headedness you experienced before Storm and Ground left has returned in full swing. You won't be sitting up again for a while.
  388. >No matter, you'll just lie here...for...a...little...while....
  389. >Your eyes close as you drift off in to a state of unconsciousness for a second time within a few hours. You curse yourself for ending up in such a position in the first place.
  390.
  391. >When you wake up you're greeted by a friendly pair of glowing red eyes. You're reaction could of been better. You scream in fear, making Zombieshy emit her familiar shriek.
  392. >"Damn it Anonymous! Calm your happy flank down!"
  393. >Wait a minute...did they really come back for you? You turn your head to the source of the voice you'd heard. You see both Ground and Storm had returned. The two seemed fine, no visible bite marks, no blood, nothing.
  394. "G...Ground Shaker?"
  395. >"Yeah.....sorry that took so long buddy....we kinda ran in to trouble on the way back..."
  396. >Storm Caller interjects
  397. >"Yeah, busy making sure fat flank over here got his fill of moon pies. He thought it'd be a good idea to take a little detour. Found a pantry a few doors down."
  398. >Storm Caller points a hoof over to a small collection of food right below the table you were lying on.
  399. >Moon Pies, Pocky, Apple Chips, and other assorted pieces of garbage. You abhorred the thought of eating more junk food, but it was better than nothing.
  400. >In a situation such as this what right do you have to complain? Take what you can get. Your lethargic ass attempts to swipe at a bag of Apple Chips; only to fall short.
  401. >Stupid body...needing blood to operate...
  402.
  403. >When you fail to grab your bag, you instead feel your head. You'd noticed that something had been wrapped around it, you still retained feeling, you still had enough circulation to at least FEEL yourself.
  404. >A fresh bandage had been applied to the affected area on the side of your head. It seemed as if the bleeding had finally stopped.
  405. "Thank you..."
  406. >Storm Caller answers you, in an uncharacteristically cheery tone
  407. >"You're quite welcome. Pops taught me how to take care of issues such as...open wounds, infections, and the like. You'll be fine, just...don't do anything strenuous for a while."
  408. "So, what you're saying is, I'm stuck here until you think I'm fine to move again?"
  409. >"Pretty much. Want some Apple Chips?"
  410. >You turn your head to see Storm Caller open up the bag you failed to grab. He reaches in with a hoof; he manages to fish out a single chip.
  411. >You guess it isn't weird enough that there's zombies, a p0ny just has to grab shit. Seriously how do p0nies do that? You think of asking but all that comes out is
  412. "You're unusually cheery about all of this you know that?"
  413. >He answers by feeding you the chip he'd managed to grab. He repeats the process; fishing, grabbing, feeding you, rinse and repeat.
  414. >"Eeyup. Nothing I like more than being able to patch someone up."
  415. >You're silent for a moment, content with eating the chips he's feeding you. Man this is embarrassing, you prided yourself on being able to do things on your own.
  416. >You were smart enough not to openly voice your displeasure, last thing you want is to NOT be able to eat these glorious Apple Chips.
  417.
  418. >When you feel that you've had your fill, you decide to keep the conversation moving, you slept enough.
  419. "So, you were being sarcastic when you were talking about patching people up right?"
  420. >Storm Caller scoffs
  421. >"Yes, it was sarcasm. You think I like getting blood on my hooves? I'd gotten enough of that stuff from Shining....and from Fleet Foot....and from...well I'll lose track of names if I keep going down the list."
  422. >You're silent after that, you assume he's naming off his fellow comrades and friends that he'd lost in this entire ordeal. You can't help but feel responsible for every single one of his losses.
  423. >Storm Caller seems to pick up on this, causing him to stop naming off each p0ny he'd had to take care of before they either turned or were eaten.
  424. >"Oh....yeah....I'm assuming you're already feeling bad enough as it is. It IS your fault after all. If it makes you feel any better I don't really blame you."
  425. "Gee....thanks."
  426. >"You're welcome."
  427. "That was sarcasm..."
  428. >"And look at all the bucks I give."
  429. >You watch as he holds his hooves out in front of your face. Not bad, not bad at all. He had a mouth on him you'll give him that, probably why he's only a private.
  430. "So....when do you think I'll be able to move around again?"
  431. >"In an hour."
  432. "Wait huh?"
  433. >"What, you think we're gonna stay here? Ground Shaker here is gonna grab your sorry flank and put ya on his back."
  434. >Ground Shaker finally speaks.
  435. >"Why do I gotta be the one to carry him?"
  436. >"Cause your fat ass is the reason why he's lost so much blood in the first place. It'd of taken maybe five minutes to close that wound, but no you just HAD to eat those bucking moon pies. Now we gotta travel like a bunch of turtles. Doesn't help that I'm gonna have that zombie over there act as our scout."
  437.
  438.
  439.
  440. >"It doesn't help that I have to have HER scout out the hallways for us."
  441. >Zombieshy points a hoof at herself before grunting, as if she's asking if Storm Caller is referring to ear.
  442. >Storm Caller face hooves.
  443. >"Yes I'm talking about you. You may be dead but you're still a mare yes?"
  444. >Zombieshy nods.
  445. >"Good you can understand me. What's your name anyway? If you can understand what I'm saying you can speak right?"
  446. >Zombieshy smiles nervously before shaking her head. This causes Storm Caller to slam his hooves in to your table, this manages to scare Zombieshy to the point of her cowering in a nearby corner.
  447. >Storm Caller is obviously displeased at this development.
  448. >"So we've got....a skiddish zombie, a fat ass-"
  449. >"HEY!"
  450. >"-a human who can't even stand, and p0ny with some medical knowledge.....yup were bucked. It's been a good run guys."
  451. >He trots to a nearby window, looking out like he did when his superior was still alive. That reminds you to take a look at your surroundings.
  452. >The two guard p0nies had the decency to move the bodies out of the room you had taken residence in. Seeing Shining's face contorted in pain was not something that instilled confidence.
  453.
  454. >"At least the zombies from before have moved on....well most of them anyway."
  455. >Well before you forget...
  456. "Fluttershy."
  457. >Storm Caller turns his head to face you.
  458. >"Hmm?"
  459. "Her name, its Fluttershy."
  460. >".....so it is true....there really is no way out of this is there? Every....single...bucking element...."
  461. >Storm Caller sighs, you could almost feel the hopelessness set in. He speaks, and his words do nothing but bring you down to his level.
  462. >"I'm not gonna lie, I was hoping there'd be at least one Element alive, Celestia had told a few of us that she had a plan. One of the orders she gave us was to locate one of the Elements of Harmony, then we were supposed to bring the element to Celestia. She even left a self moving chariot for us should we so happen to locate one....Fluttershy here is the closet thing to a living element we've come across. Pinkie, Twilight, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, they're all....out there somewhere...but unlike kindness over there they aren't retaining any sort of...what's the word?"
  463. "Emotion? A working brain? Comprehension?"
  464. >"I was gonna say life....but yeah any of those will work....in fact..."
  465. >You watch as Storm Caller makes his way over to Zombieshy, she tilts her head in confusion as he approaches.
  466.
  467. >When he comes within a few feet of Fluttershy, Storm Caller stands on his hind hooves and shouts
  468. >"OOOHGA BOOGA!"
  469. >he flails his fore hooves wildly, this causes Zombieshy to yelp in fear.
  470. >She wastes no time in zooming over to you in a streak of yellow and red, she cowers behind your table in hopes of hiding herself from Storm Caller.
  471. >"Interesting, she's able to react to stimuli...she understands us, she eats the un-dead, and she's retained her rumored....shy and skiddish nature."
  472. >You look from Storm Caller, to Fluttershy, then back to Storm Caller.
  473. "And that's important because....?"
  474. >"Because Celestia may be able to do something with this, if Flutters here retained what makes her well....her then...maybe her element still works....its better to have one than none."
  475. "That's a long shot isn't it?"
  476. >"That may be, but at least we have some sort of hope....we gotta get her to that chariot...on the other side of the castle...."
  477. >Storm Caller hangs his head in defeat. You swear this p0ny is so bi polar he makes Pinkie seem normal.
  478. "You....you aren't on any sort of medication are you...?"
  479. >He turns to you with a look of disgust, as if your question insulted his very character.
  480. >"Anon you've spoken to me for a whopping...ten minutes? We're in a very high stress situation Celestia forbid I'm happy about something one minute than pissed off the next.....actually after this is over I'll probably need some sort of therapy."
  481. "Ya don't say?"
  482.
  483. >Suddenly multiple moans can be heard, then the dragging of hooves follow after. You really did not need this right now.
  484. >You had hoped Fluttershy's presence would keep the other zombies from approaching, but its not as if they retain any sort of information other than eat and search for something to eat.
  485. "Flutters....if you would please?"
  486. >You look down at her, when she meets your gaze you motion towards the door. She nods excitedly before happily trotting out of the room.
  487. >It's almost as if she's skipping....right in to a small group of zombies. You hear a few surprised grunts before the sounds of flesh being torn from bone fills your ears.
  488. >You hear bones being snapped, you hear blood being splattered along the walls, and the crunching of bones between teeth.
  489. >Every single snap of bone makes the three of you cringe in disgust. The crunching continues for the next few minutes as the moaning slowly died down.
  490. >Finally Zombieshy walks right back in to the kitchen, her mane and faced covered in the blood of the un-dead.
  491. >It actually drips off of a few split ends of her mane, painting the floor around her with little droplets.
  492. >Ground finds his voice yet again
  493. >"You full?"
  494. >Fluttershy nods
  495. >Your limp ass hand manages to help you out this time. You facepalm, Storm Caller mimics your gesture.
  496.
  497. >The four of you spend the rest of the hour chatting among yourselves.
  498. >Well, Zombieshy didn't participate in the idle chit chat for obvious reasons.
  499. >When it came time for them to move you, your body wasn't exactly willing to cooperate. You were barely able to stand, let alone walk.
  500. >In order to cope Ground Shaker used his unicorn magic in order to levitate you. At least this way you'll only be a burden to one of the three instead of all of them.
  501. >As the four of you make your way out in to the hallway yet again you come to see that Zombieshy is a sloppy eater.
  502. >The zombies from an hour ago are still moving...well some of them are. She seemed to focus on the legs rather than the body.
  503. >You assume its because she's afraid of being bitten, which causes you to laugh a little too loudly. The thought of a zombie having a fear of being bitten was quite a funny one.
  504. >Your laughing causes the zombies in the hallway that are still alive to take notice of you.
  505. >They start crawling towards the three of you at the quickest pace they can. Luckily the majority of them are incapable of really moving forward.
  506. >Even though you're all able to maneuver around the zombies safely the two guards still cut you a dirty glare.
  507. >You need to learn to keep your mouth shut.
  508.
  509. >With Storm Caller at the helm he's able to guide you through a random series of hallways which puts you at the eastern section of Canterlot Castle.
  510. >You've been able to avoid detection for the most part, whenever a small group of zombies happened to come across you Zombieshy was more than happy to clear them out.
  511. >You come to realize Zombieshy will be the one doing the majority of the zombie killing. You had to leave your crossbow behind, not that it mattered you only had one shot left regardless.
  512. >As Flutterzombie bites down on the back of the last zombie's neck you hear a loud crack, followed by the zombie going limp.
  513. >Yeah she's going to be doing everything alright. Not that you're complaining. You can't seem to hear Ground or Storm complaining either.
  514. >Then again you're not sure Ground can say anything right now, he's starting to strain while levitating you.
  515. >"Alright Anon, we'll take a break here before moving on."
  516. >You look around the area the three of you have stepped in to. It appeared to be a sort of central room connecting four hallways.
  517. >You spot a few chairs and tables though out this area, you you're near the Canterlot Archives. The various books littered upon the floor are a dead giveaway.
  518. >As Ground Shaker sets you down to take a break, you hear the sound of a large amount of zombies in the distance, followed by the pounding of what sounds like hundreds of hooves
  519. >....it's a horde...and its heading your way.
  520.
  521. >And here's where things get a bit complicated.
  522. >With Ground Shaker exhausted from carrying you it appears as though he's in no condition to levitate you again.
  523. >The horde is drawing closer, the sounds of their hooves upon the floor is echoing through out the area.
  524. >The sound of your death quickly approaching. When you see the first few round the corner you realize not even Zombieshy will be able to take care off all of these.
  525. >They must have smelled you out or something. The way they're looking at you and the guards like you're their last meal sends a wave of fear throughout your body.
  526. >Ground Shakers grits his teeth as he levitates you again.
  527. >The zombies are getting closer Anon, damn it why do you have to be hurt right now?
  528. >When your body levitates off of the ground again Storm Caller shouts for the three of you to follow him.
  529. >You can barely hear him over the screams of the zombie equines closing in.
  530. >With you in tow Ground takes off after Storm Caller, Zombieshy is close behind, even she knows she can't eat all those zombies.
  531. >From the position you're levitating you're able to see behind your group. You do not like what you see.
  532. >Literally dozens of zombies are charging right for your group. Twenty yards and closing Anonymous, your friends had better put a pep in their step.
  533. "I know you guys are straining as it is, but they're getting a little too close!"
  534. >"We can see that!"
  535.
  536. >For the next few minutes the four of you are trying to create as much distance between yourselves and your pursuers as you can.
  537. >As he runs, Storm Caller will occasionally grab an object in his teeth and throw it behind the rest of you in order to help stem the tide.
  538. >The occasional chair or table won't cut it. In fact the zombies merely leap over the overturned objects. The pegasus zombies simply fly over, well there went that plan.
  539. >It takes ten minutes of running down random corridors before a solitary pair of double doors come in to sight. Storm Caller shouts
  540. >"In here!"
  541. >With your potential safety now possible your group is able to give themselves that extra boost of confidence needed to get that much faster.
  542. >But Ground Shaker is starting to slow, he can't concentrate on keeping you lifted anymore. The two of you start to fall behind the pack.
  543. >Flutterzombie turns to shriek in hopes of scaring the horde, but they pay no attention to her, there's too many.
  544. >Poor Ground Shaker is pumping his hooves as hard as he can, but from the way he's breathing and from the way he's sweating you know he's reached his limit.
  545. >He's realized this as well.
  546.
  547. >He speaks between labored breaths.
  548. >"Sorry Anon...I can't...keep goin....hold on!"
  549. "Yes you can man, you can do it! Just a little further you got this!"
  550. >"N....Nope this is...where...I...stop..."
  551. >He's trying to speak through fits of labored breathing, he starts to wobble a bit as he gallops.
  552. >You turn to see Storm Caller run through the double doors, followed by Flutterzombie.
  553. >Storm Caller looks back, motioning for the two of you to hurry up.
  554. >Storm Caller's eyes grow wide in shock when he sees Ground Shaker re-position you with his magic.
  555. >You're now right in front of Ground Shaker's face rather than right above him.
  556. >You feel an unseen force launch you through the double doors. As you're sailing through the air you turn your head to see Ground Shaker give you a tired smile before falling forward.
  557. >As you sail through the doors you're forced to watch as the p0ny that tried to help you is devoured by the unforgiving horde.
  558. >You hear his screams of anguish as the double doors are shut upon your body being tossed through the threshold.
  559.
  560. >Because you're useless you're unable to help Storm Caller as he pushes the bed, the nearby dresser, and the chairs in front of the doors.
  561. >As Storm Caller finishes putting all the furniture in the room in front of the door, he collapses in a fit of labored breaths.
  562. >Flutters appears to be doing the same. You find that odd considering she shouldn't -have- to breathe. But that thought is quickly thrown out when you realize that you've lost one of your own to the virus.
  563. >If you could move properly you'd be throwing something, the only thing you can feel right now is anger.
  564. >Anger at Ground Shaker for giving up, angry at Storm Caller for not helping out his friend, most of all you're angry at yourself. Because of your condition a good p0ny died.
  565. >Another addition to the ever growing horde within Canterlot Castle.
  566. >When Storm Caller catches his breath the first words out of his mouth are exactly why you expect.
  567. >"Anonymous....you son of a bitch..."
  568. >Yup he's gonna blame you for this, you had a sneaking suspicion he would. Even if it's not your fault that what had happened, happened, it probably wouldn't matter to Storm Caller here.
  569. >You see the anger in his stare as he slowly trots over to you.
  570.
  571. >When he gets close to you he gets on his hind hooves. He uses his forehooves to grab hold of your shirt.
  572. >He pulls you up so that you're at eye level with him. The process of being forcefully lifted puts your head through the oddest sensation.
  573. >The sensation almost causes you to pass out, but when Storm Caller begins to yell you're brought right back to attention.
  574. >"Do you have any idea what you've done!? You just got a good p0ny killed out there you little shit!"
  575. >You see the spit flying off his muzzle, yeah he's mad. Even in your state you're not going to just take his emotional outburst.
  576. "Ground Shaker did what he thought was right, getting like this isn't going to make things any better."
  577. >His hoof connects with your jaw, causing your vision to spin. Your head hangs limp, you're a lot worse off than you thought.
  578. >"Why didn't he just leave you out there?! You'd have made a better meal! At least he could move...how'd you do it?"
  579. "W...what?"
  580. >"How'd you make him do it huh? Did you trick him? Answer me!"
  581. >Storm's voice has taken a shrill tone now. His aggressive acts toward you doesn't appear to sit well with Zombieshy
  582. >In fact her jimmies appear to be quite rustled.
  583.
  584. >You hear her start to growl. Which is quickly silenced when Storm Caller glances her way.
  585. >"I am NOT in the mood for your shit Kindness."
  586. >She let's out an eep before backing away from Storm Caller
  587. "Hey don't you talk to her like that, she's the reason you're still alive."
  588. >He turns his head back to yours, you take notice that his right eye twitches a little before he grinds his teeth. Storm Caller begins to shake with rage.
  589. >Another hoof to your jaw shuts you up for a moment. Yeah you decide it'd be best not to make this situation any worse than it already is.
  590. >"Anonymous I asked you a question and I want an answer! I don't care if your little pet here is angry with me."
  591. >You consider saying something when he insults Zombieshy, but instead you're silent. You can't really think of anything to say that'd make this situation any better.
  592. >This only causes Storm Caller to hit you again, and again. Between the hoof strikes he starts to speak again.
  593. >"Why'd he save you...you're useless! You can't even stand you're dead weight! Why did he..."
  594. >The hoof strikes stops and he's no longer looking at you. He's breathing becomes ragged from rage, but soon he manages to calm down.
  595. >His breathing becomes hitched.
  596. >He lets go of your shirt, content with letting you fall right back on to your back. He turns away from you before walking back over to the barricade he made.
  597. >In a low shaky voice he says
  598. >"That idiot......damn it Ground Shaker..."
  599.
  600. >You leave Storm Caller to grieve over the next few minutes.
  601. >During that time Zombieshy has made her way over to you, she looks over you to make sure you're okay.
  602. >You're about as fine as anyone can be given your circumstances.
  603. >At least your head isn't bleeding, but it would be nice to be able to move around on your own.
  604. >If you were able to move Ground Shaker would still be alive...wait a minute
  605. >If it wasn't for them you'd still be mobile, how can Storm Caller place the blame on you when its his superior's fault?
  606. >You assume its because his superior is dead...and you're the only one alive aside from himself.
  607. >You had some hopes that there'd be others like him, but no living p0ny graced you with their presence during your travel to this wing of Canterlot Castle.
  608. >Even though you've not done anything productive, you still feel a familiar fatigue. Your head wound is starting to act up again.
  609. >You can never seem to get used to this feeling of being light headed. Zombieshy seems to notice your wavering eyes.
  610. >Before you drift off in to a state of unconsciousness she uses her body as a pillow for you.
  611. >Even though she doesn't draw breath, even if she has no heartbeat, Zombieshy is still warm...almost comforting. Must be a mutation.
  612. >Storm Caller takes notice of this, as your eyes close and your consciousness starts to fade his words echo through your mind.
  613. >"Take whatever rest you can dead weight, we'll be moving in the morning."
