  1. I'm coming from the Linux world. Now i'm running FreeBSD 10.3 on a test rig. I have almost no idea, and i need some noob lube.

  3. You probably both already measured your live storage performance / throughput with iotop on Linux, which gives you per process, as well as total and actual, read / write stats in xByte/s. One nice dude in #freebsd on freenode IRC mentioned "top -m io", which says 2600 (of unknown unit) in the write column _while_ ddrescue says 80 MB/s - that's not what i want.

  5. Maybe there's that one package, that i've been unable to find with "pkg search". There must be something, that Allan uses all the time to measure his zpools. Hints, anyone? (I hope it's not some craycray-sophisticated dtrace custom shell script thingen.)

  7. Fluffy greetings and many thanks for all your great shows
