4uSea_a_GM> 12Night has fallen. Our party remains safely within their barricaded town hall, sheltered from the monster mash filling the streets outside.
4uSea_a_GM> 12Geldnir has recently returned from his shopping trip, bringing plenty of ammo... but no Rad-Away. Upon hearing the news, Gnash seems to have taken a nap, so ghoul explosions will have to wait.
5Geldnir looks at the group. "I have a plan." He said grinning. "If you'd guys liked to hear it. Personally I think it might be a really good one for our little band of scaangers."
5Cerberus sits down and looks at geld "sure, spit it out kitty cat"
5Umbra breaks free of the doze in which she had been watching the back door, glancing at the griffin. ''Feel free to elaborate.''
5SilentSpecter pulls out her pack of cigarettes and shakes it frowning and the few cigarettes remaining. She pulls one out and lights it, settling in to listen to Geldnir's 'plan'.
1Geldnir> "The group in control of all the medical supplies has recently cut ties with their previous trading partner. Now we could just go there and convince them to start trading with the merchants or we could just kill them and take it all for ourselves, but the first wouldn't benifit us much and the second would be to hard to accomplish, so instead what I suggest is that we go to the Red Crosses base, and trade with them directly cutting out the merch

10 icekatze left the server. Quit: I must go, my planet needs me.
1Geldnir> ants. What say the rest of you?"
5Cerberus taps her chin, pondering the situation "well, i guess that checking ourselves the medical sellers could be a good idea, but... what has this to do with the zombies?"
5Umbra gives her habitual shrug in response, it was as good a next course of action as any other.
1Geldnir> "Nothing the plan for the zombies is simple enough. Gnash and I will draw them to bombing spot while the rest of you wait safely in HQ."
5Cerberus nodnods "are you sure you don't need backup? i mean, i'm light enouggh to ride your back and shoot at the incoming pegasi"
5Cerberus "that is... if you think it could be useful"
5Artifica is very aware that she is the new mare here, and so she sits back and observes rather than jumping in immediately with opinions.
1Geldnir> "Hmm that might be a good idea, seeing as I don't have or use a gun."
1Geldnir> "Any other ideas?"
5SilentSpecter looks at her pipbuck and mutters 'how does this thing labal quests...it's bizarre...'

5Cerberus "besides the bombing plan... when do you think to check on these medical hoarders? do you know where they are located?"
5Geldnir wing shrugs. "I dunno pony magic of some sort or other."
5Artifica pauses then raises a hoof, "Are you intending a swift assault, or will you be taking time and stealth to move into positions?"
5SilentSpecter shrugs
1Geldnir> "Yes I know where they are located generally.  I planned on scouting out the area from above before going into to try to trade though."
1Geldnir> "For the zombies. No stealth we want to have as many as possible follow us to the bombing point. That's why it's a flyer only mission."
5Artifica nods.  "If you intend to be swift, I might be able to help."
5SilentSpecter goes to sit back on her mattress taking a drag of her cigarette. If she's going to get left behind she might as well get comfortable.
1Geldnir> "How do you suggest we take you along? You following us on the ground is too dangerous ponies are a lot slower than two flying griffins. We can take berry because of her size."
5Cerberus "my name is cerberus, not berry!"

5Artifica adds, "As for the merchants, I would recommend against the kill-and-take method.  Hurting merchants inevitably ends up hurting yourself more in the long view than any immediate gain is worth."
5Berry trots towards the table with the loot and takes a shiny thing that looks like a playing card, starting to look at it and using it to reflect light
5Artifica pauses and waves a hoof.  "Oh, no.  You're right that I shouldn't come.  I'd slow you down.  But I have a spell which will give you a little protection.  It's just that the spell does not last long.

1Geldnir> "Killing and take is out of the question. Imagine if you can, having to fight through a group of ponies armed trough teeth  and with enough medical supplies to keep them health for a good long time. It would be near impossible."
5SilentSpecter turns to Berry "Members of the pack don't get to choose their nicknames sometimes. Personally I'm waiting for them to choose my embarassing nickname. So I can beat them with the shovel I swear to Luna I'm going to find solely for that purpose."
5Umbra rests her head on her forehoover, not having anything to contribute to the 'blow the zombies to Tartarus and gone' plan.
5Berry shows the badge to the others "hey, where did we find this thing?" it's a badge, pink with pinkie pie's cutie mark on it
5SilentSpecter shrugs "I think it was in the safe Atom cracked."
1Geldnir> "We almost certainly will have to get through to them with diplomacy, wether or not we benifit from it or not."
5Geldnir turns and looks at Berry. "We got that from the house, it's why we went looting it in the first place."
5Berry thinks about it for a moment "doesn't seem very stable tech... there are no cogs... what's written on it?"
4uSea_a_GM> 12Those who can read pony writing can read the name: 'P. Eye' on the badge
5Berry "and... when do we plan to try and break into that stupid stable tech building? i need a new magic pistol and ammo...."
1Geldnir> "Right. It says P. Eye, whatever that means. Another reason why I'd rather benifit directly from dealing with the Red Crosses, the merchants aren't willing to give us a deal as long as they hold a monopoly over the supply flow."
5Artifica looks at the badge and makes a connection.  "P. Eye?  Pink Eye?  Isn't that a sickness?"  Not necessary a good connection.
1SilentSpecter> "Private Eye?"
5Artifica counters, "Well, it's pink."
1Geldnir> "It could be a name, but it's not important we need it to gain acess to the stable."
5SilentSpecter shrugs "Looks like MoM. Everything was pink..."
1Umbra> "It has balloons too, perhaps it is Party Eye?" Umbra says with a snicker.
5Berry "maybe pretty eye? or pirate eye?"
1SilentSpecter> "Not enough eye patches for Pirate Eye."
1Geldnir> "Like I said not important to our current objectives."
5Artifica looks at Umbra scoffingly, "Who's ever heard of a party eye?"  Then she remembers the spritebots.  "Nevermind."
5Geldnir chuckles.
5Berry "well if we want all those useless caps you ponies use for bartering, we have to go in that building too"
1Geldnir> "Eeyup and that there is our key to getting in."
5Berry "and for the little i know, a lot of the weapons we use are quite expensive to use..."
5Berry tries to get the badge beck to look at it better
1Geldnir> "If we get access to the medical supplies will have plenty to trade for supplies and ammo."
1Geldnir> ((we will.)
5Berry looks at the badge while her eyes grow a little bigger with interest "it's... it's pretty..." the foal tries to put the badgeon her butt, where the cutiemark should be and smile happily for a moment, probably not noticing she's acting foalish
5Artifica looks around, "So this building we can now enter is sounding more and more like a solve-all-our-problems treasure trove.  Does that scare anypony else?"
5SilentSpecter hides a smile behind a hoof. just knocking ash off my cigarette. yep. lookit that ash go.
5Umbra watches the antics of the Little One for a moment, then looks back to Geldnir. ''Not as such, it is the reason we are here, naturally it is central in our planning.''
1Geldnir> "Sounds like it might be more trouble than it's worth, but my risk vs. reward instinct tell me to go for it."
1Geldnir> "Central yes, but that doesn't mean we have to know about the ponies name printed on it."
5Berry "so... we bomb the zombies, then go to have atalk witrh the guys with the medical supplies, fix our irradiated cat and go  for the big booty? is that the plan?"
5Berry the foal sniffs and licks the badge
1Geldnir> "That's about the size of it right now, yes."
1Geldnir> "We can work out the minor details on the fly as it were."
4Berry> alright... so, we need that big sleepy bunch of feathers to get up if we want anything accomplished?
1Geldnir> "Eeyup that would be correct."
5Berry "but.... if he's all mopey.... isn't that a risk to take him in this run? i mean... geld, why can't you do it?"
4uSea_a_GM> 12There is a knock at the front door
5Berry "taking gnash with you could be more a problem than a help, since he seems to feel so bad... in the end you just have to toss a couple grenades and fly faster than a bunch of pegasi up to the right place"
4Berry> "uh... did you hear that?"
5Umbra whips her head around to the door, eyes narrowed, then gets up and slinks out of sight.
1Geldnir> "Yeah stay here I'm checking it out."
5Berry shuts up and moves to take her rifle, powering it up and removing the failsafe
5SilentSpecter has her rifle in her hooves from where she laid it by her mattress
4uSea_a_GM> 12the knocking continues, it doesn't seem to be in any hurry
5Geldnir flaps over to the door. using his machete he flips open the letter box and peeks outside.
1SilentSpecter> "I'm not seeing anything green, just a lot of red." She says softly
5Berry looks at SilentSpecter, whispering "what is that supposed to mean?"
4uSea_a_GM> 12from outside comes the various groans of 'Manes, manes!' or somesuch.
1SilentSpecter> "Means nothing out there is friendly, little one."
5Berry glances at the windows, a bit worried
5Umbra whispers from somewhere nearby, ''I means things are about to get interesting.''
5Geldnir in most authoritative voice he can manage glednir says out to the crowed. "The mayor has kindly taken heed to your demands and has decided to give into them. You may return to your homes the issue will be dealt with swiftly and forthwith! No need to worry any longer good citizens!"
3Artifica> Quick, throw them a hairstylist!
5Berry frantically earches into her bags "i have a brush! here! toss them the brush!"
5SilentSpecter would facehoof but she's currently holding her rifle in her hooves.
5Berry "ah, geld... do you remember that run you had in mind? i think it can't be delayed anymore unless you want them to come and visit... but i think we're out of tea...."
4uSea_a_GM> 12The knocking stops for a moment and the ghouls outside seem to huddle. They break up quickly and wave their weather-beaten placards slightly more vigorously. "Manes!"
4uSea_a_GM> 12The knocker resumes, less politely this time.
1Umbra> "Stand or flee?" Umbra asks the room at large.
1Geldnir> "Stay calm. I still think I have a plan. . . Berry you think we can do that bombing run without Gnash."
5Berry grins "are you askking a hellhound if it's a good day to die? hell yes... i think we can make enough noise to make them follow us away from the town hall...."
5Berry "gnash must have some grenade in his bags, we tos sone and then we shoot a couple times, they should turn on us and leave the door be"
1Geldnir> "Hellhound? . . . A question for another day I suppose."
1Geldnir> "Gernades? I've never seen him use any before."
5Berry "wasn't the plan tossing grenades on the ghouls to get their attention? he must have them, or dynamite or somethign like that...."
1Geldnir> "The town gaurd was going to handle that. We just need to get the ghoulies there."
1Geldnir> "I can shout at them to get their attention.
5Berry "i can shoot at them, with magic rifle, that should be hard not to notice.... and try to keep some of them out of your tail"
5Geldnir flies over to Berry and scoops up the small filly placing her on his back. "All right lets do this!" Kicking off the ground he flies toward the second floor window exit.
5Berry "or... the door seems to be keep-eeeeep!" is scooted before she can finish the sentence
1SilentSpecter> "That clock tower...Is looking quite comfy at the moment, I think..."
5Geldnir exits the building climbing high before looping back to fly over the street in front of the Town Hall. Looking down at the mass of undead, Geldnir turns his head and smiles grimly at the filly on his back. "Ready?"
5AtomBell decides to step upstairs to ready for triage, just in case
1SilentSpecter> "...I'm...gonna...go..."
5SilentSpecter lass scampers up into the clock tower
5Berry "sure, why not....  i already died once after all..." the foal takes aim to a pony bumping at the door and shoots twice against it
1Umbra> "The clock tower offers no escape route, it's not a good idea if avoidable." Umbra comments.
1SilentSpecter> "zombies can't climb" she says as she heads to the ladder
5Geldnir waits till after berry shoots. "You ponies want Manes? Well follow me I'll take you to him!"" He shouts at the top of his lungs.
5Umbra is not confident of that, but hides near the ladder if it proves that up is only option.
5Berry "GIDDUP! Gallop my little ponies! time for a guided tour of the town!"
5Geldnir waits untill he is sure has the herds attention before zooming off towards the agreed upon bombing site.
4uSea_a_GM> 12Several of their number turning into steaming goo seems to draw the ghoul's attention. Dozens of throats scream with rage and they rush towards the source, several pegasi taking to the air after the griffon.
5Geldnir grins and flies away at the group looking back and tossing obscene gestures at the ghouls every once in awhile to check if they're still following him, and to piss the mindless horde off more.
1Geldnir> ((from the group))
4uSea_a_GM> 12the group of ghouls charge through the streets, gathering other groups until they form a veritable horde. The cacophony intensifies.
5Berry the foal keeps her rifle ready to intercept any pegasus that comes too near
5SilentSpecter is looking down the ladder, watching Umbra since she's down there.
5Geldnir shouts back at the horde to further enrage them. "Manes says your protest can suck it!"
5Artifica eeps in worry.  They left before she could cast.  She really hopes they don't end up needing it.  Especially the very odd filly.
4uSea_a_GM> 12alerted by the calls of their fellow ghouls, a flock of pegasi take off from the rooftops ahead and rush to intercept
5Geldnir grins at the final insult and pours his full effort into getting them to the bombing point before he can be ripped asunder by the flying ghouls.
1Umbra> "Worry not for them. What will happen will happen, but their wills are strong. They will return." Mentally, Umbra adds a 'probably'.
5Berry without even noticing it, the filly starts singing "when i was a big bad hellhound and had forest all aro-ound / i had long fangs and and slashy claws but then my luck went o-out!"
5Berry the foal shoots at the two pegasi incoming
5AtomBell pushes her glasses back up, returning to her comrades, "Wey, probably...  SilentSpector dashed up intee the towor?"
5Artifica still prances nervously in place.
5AtomBell smiles reassuringly at Artifica

5Berry the foal is a good sniper, she can hit true with both her shots and giggles in glee when even the second one lands on the target
5Geldnir doesn't even bother look back hesimply complements Berry on her shoots. "Nice! Keep up the good work!"

4uSea_a_GM> 12The two pegasi tumble out of the air. On fire.
5Berry "your tail is free! put some more speed in those wings kitty cat!"
5AtomBell eyes the tower ladder
4uSea_a_GM> 12With another burst of speed, the town of New Hope is in sight! Two giant searchlights are trained on the ground routes, but as you approach, one of them swings up to illuminate Geldnir and Berry!
5SilentSpecter is a pair of eyes and a snout peeking over the edge of the ladder at the top
5Geldnir flapps has hard and as fast as his wings can carry him. "Rodger!" Me waves to the town signaling them an okay sign. "I just hope they didn't plan on shooting at us too."
5Berry "geld, they are expecting us, tight? tell me they are expecting us!"

1Geldnir> "They should be."
4uSea_a_GM> 12Geldnir deftly shields his eyes to avoid the bright light, which quickly gets make to checking the streets below. Activity on the town walls seems to increase
4uSea_a_GM> 12(gets *back to checking)
5Berry "what about diving for our lives?"
5Geldnir winks at the filly. "Have a little faith. I'm on it." Me begins diving adjecent to the town wall nodding and waving at the gaurds as he passes.
4uSea_a_GM> 12The air fills with bullets and the crack of rifles, wiping the nearest flying ghouls from the skies.
5Geldnir lands on the wall prepared to offer any assistance nessecary.
4uSea_a_GM> 12Morning Star approaches Geldnir as he lands. "Glad you could make it!" he jokes. "You're just in time for the fireworks!"
5Geldnir grinns. "Glad I could help."
5Geldnir turns to Berry. "You ready for a light show?"
5Berry jumps down from the griffon's back, while putting her last ammo in the rifle "never been so happy to see a pony face..." the foal turns towards the outher town ready to shoot at any aprpoacing flying zombie
4uSea_a_GM> 12The ground-bound tide of ghouls rush into the no-mares land between the new town and the old. Morning Star grins.
5Berry "sure, why not... i like watching ponies go boom"
5Geldnir puts his claws to his ears and counts down. "Three. . ."
4uSea_a_GM> 12A bright explosion errupts within the ghouls, quickly followed by another and another.
1Geldnir> "Well buger all counting then."
1Geldnir> ((bugger))
4uSea_a_GM> 12The outer houses themselves seem to be the source, filling the street with flame.
