  1. Pokemon Blue All Badges Speedrun
  2. *Note this isn't a real category, just an idea I had that turned into...this lol*
  3.
  4. -Intro. Name both you and your rival 1 character names.
  5.
  6. -Prof Oak, pick Bulbasaur.
  7. -Bulbasaur's stats don't matter at all, we won't be using him.
  8. -That being said, it is necessary to win the first rival fight against Charmander.
  9.
  10. **IMPORTANT**
  11. If you fight the Bug Catcher in Virirdian Forest at level 6, Bulbasaur will grow to level 8, and skip Leech Seed. In order to get Leech Seed before that, you must defeat wild Pokemon. Either 1 level >= 4 or 2 level < 4. This way you will be 7 before the trainer.
  12.
  13. -Pick up Oak's Parcel and bring it back to him.
  14.
  15. -Back to Viridian.
  16. [Optional]: Pick up the Potion in the cut tree.
  17.
  18. -Enter Viridian Forest.
  19.
  20. -Pick up the Antidote and the Potion in front of the Bug Catcher.
  21.
  22. **IMPORTANT**
  23. In order to do the first glitch of the run, Bulbasaur must have 16 Tackle PP and 36 Growl PP. Also, Growl must be in slot 3 and Tackle in slot 2. Because of this, I recommend wasting some PP on wild Pokemon, Kakuna and Metapod are the best, as they cannot hurt you and take a lot of Tackles before they die.
  24.
  25. -Bug Catcher
  26. -Weedle: Tackle - As many as necessary. You can also Leech Seed him if you want.
  27.
  28. -Leave Forest and enter Pewter.
  29.
  30. -Make sure your Bulbasaur has the specifications as listed above before this next part.
  31.
  32. -Brock Skip: Pause the game and put your cursor on SAVE (you can actually save if you're afraid of messing this part up).
  33. Try to leave Pewter via the exit that leads to Route 3. A guy will stop you and say he'll bring you to Brock's Gym. There's a small window after he finishes talking where you can pause the game. This may take some practice to get the timing down, but once you do, it's not very difficult at all. SAVE THE GAME, and reset.
  34.
  35. -Reload your save, and have the guy guide you. Afterwards you should be able to walk to Route 3.
  36.
  37. -Enter Route 3 so that the NPC is offscreen, then walk back into Pewter.
  38.
  39. -Pause the game, enter the Pokemon menu to load Bulbasaur into the game's immediate memory.
  40.
  41. -Talk to the NPC from the RIGHT SIDE. (this is important)
  42.
  43. -Hold right the whole time while he talks. When he's done, you should start walking right. In addition, you can now walk through walls, nice.
  44.
  45. -Skip all the trainers on Route 3. Movement here can be kinda tricky, as walking outside the boundaries of the area will crash your game.
  46.
  47. -Skip Mount Moon, again be very careful.
  48.
  49. -Pass through Cerulean, then go down to Saffron.
  50.
  51. -Heal at the Saffron Center (this sets it as a teleport point for later).
  52.
  53. -Go left through the Guard's House to Celadon.
  54.
  55. -Get the Coin Case in Celadon.
  56.
  57. -In the Game Corner, talk to the first guy to your left, then two spaces up there are hidden coins. You should now have 120.
  58.
  59. -Exchange your coins for an Abra next door. Name Abra a 1 character name.
  60.
  61. -Go to the Department Store. Rooftop, buy 1 Fresh Water.
  62.
  63. -Go down to the 5th floor, buy 1 X Attack.
  64.
  65. -Go down to the 4th floor, buy a Pokedoll.
  66.
  67. -2nd floor, buy 2 Super Repels.
  68.
  69. -Switch Abra to the top. Teleport to Saffron.
  70.
  71. -Go back up to Cerulean. Give the Guard the Fresh Water.
  72.
  73. -Get the Rare Candy behind the Badge guy's house. 1 step up, 5 right.
  74.
  75. -Teleport to Saffron.
  76.
  77. -Down to Route below.
  78.
  79. -Long Range Trainer Glitch: Also known as the "Mew Glitch", basically there's a trainer who's view range is long enough to see you as soon as he appears on screen. Walk into his view range and for a few frames, he is looking down instead of right, in this short time, pause the game, and teleport. Mashing doesn't necessarily help for this glitch, I find it easier to time it.
  80.
  81. -After teleporting, you should be unable to pause. Make your way up to the Fighting Dojo.
  82.
  83. -Fight the first Trainer. MAKE SURE HE SEES YOU FROM AT LEAST 2 TILES AWAY OR THE GAME WILL SOFTLOCK.
  84.
  85. -Lose the battle.
  86.
  87. -When you respawn, open the items menu and switch Repels with the Rare Candy.
  88.
  89. -Try to go back to the Route with the Trainer on it.
  90.
  91. -The pause menu should pop up, close it and encounter the Missingno.
  92.
  93. -Run.
  94.
  95. -You should now have 129 Rare Candies.
  96.
  97. -Use 24 Rare Candies on Abra. It should evolve into Kadabra and be Level 30.
  98.
  99. -Go to Mr Psychic's house and get TM29 Psychic.
  100.
  101. -Go up to Cerulean.
  102.

  117. -Abra: Confusion x2. Heal here if you're really low but usually unecessary.
  118. -Rattata: Confusion.
  119. -Charmander: TELEPORT, nah jk Confusion again.
  120.
  121. -Nugget Bridge and Route after, Confusion everything until you run out, then Psybeam.
